Can you select another query in a query?

i.e. SELECT A.FIELD1, <PSQUERYNAME>, A.FIELD2
I'm trying to select the results of a select, e.g.
SELECT A.FIELD1, (SELECT B.FIELDB FROM TABLE2 B) FROM TABLE1 A
and it was suggested that I might be able to do this by making the embedded SELECT a separate query and then referencing it. Is this possible? If not, is there another way to do this within PS Query?

Yes, that makes sense - but how can I construct this in the PS Query tool? The top level of the query asks you to pick a record, and then select record fields - I see no option that would enable me to select a query or the (one-row single field) result of a query.
e.g., how would I code
SELECT
A.BIRTHDATE,
(SELECT B.DUMMY FROM DUAL B)
FROM PS_PERSON A

Crystal Report XI: Can you write your query in SQL instead of using the GUI

Hello
In crystal report version XI, can you write your query in sqlplus and then use the crystal report designer to build your report instead of using the GUI . I would like to be able to go database and show sql query and open that query and make changes directly there, is that possible on this version, if yes is there a setting somewhere? Please let me know.

I have iTunes gift cards but don't always want to redeem them. Sometimes I want to use my credit card. Do you have to automatically redeem the gift cards or can you select credit even if your gift card has a balance?

You can't choose which to use to pay for your order. The default order of payment is free credits first, if you have some, then store credits then credit card. I'm not sure how to explain this but this is what I know. You can contact support if you want for more info.

Can I select the query elements of structure manually in transport conn

Hello all,
I am trying to select a structure and the elements of the structure manually in transport connection. I am able to slect the structure from from query elements -> structure but now how can i select (manually) the items like new selections and new formulas that are inlcuded in my structure.
When I go and search for that query element in table V_ELTDIR_TXT it says that the the items of my structure are RKF but when i try to serach under query elements -> RKF i dont see them.
Can someone help here.

you are trying to tell me that i can just slect my query and structure (manually..so basically only 2 query elements in transport request)...and transport that and it should take care of selections and formulas in structure.
I have created a transport as per what you have told, waiting on basis to transport it. Will update you in few minutes.

Can you run a Query in a Process Chain?

As part of a data validation process chain, I need to run a query and send the results by email. I've created the query (with the exception) and set it up in information broadcaster to be sent by email. I thought that I would be able to just drop in the "Exception Reporting" process into the process chain and be able to select the query to run. Needless to say, it don't work that way.
If anyone has ran a query in a process chain, please let me know how you did it?
Also if someone knows how the "Exception Reporting" process in RSPC works, please share?

I was hoping to be able to do everything from within a process chain. Does anyone know how to use the "Exception Reporting" process that is available in RSPC? Is it a leftover from the 3.X days that can't really be used in 7.0?

Yes you can. I find that turning off skimming helps, but isn't necessary, too. Remember that when a clip in the Browser is selected, the Dashbord reflects that clip's timecode. JKL keys can help find a specific spot, and the left/right arrow keys will move the playhead one frame at a time. So, to specificaly type in timecode, here is how that is achieved:
1- Select a clip in Flimstrip view by clicking on it, or in List view by selecting the clip in the list, then clicking on the filmstrip preview above to make it active.
2- Click once on the timecode display in the Dashboard.
3- Type in timecode, using periods rather than colons;semi-colons. Hit return and the playhead will be at that timecode.
4- Hit "i" for an In-Point or "o" for an Out-Point.

How can you select the "from" in Mail with multiple accounts?

Is there a simple dropdown to select the "From" field in Mail when using multiple accounts?
All I can find is a support page saying From is defined by the email account that is highlighted and active.

When you hover your mouse over your name in the from field it presents a little arrow. Click it and it lets you select who you are sending an email as.
Also if your reading an email that you got say to your @iCloud.com email when you hit compose it will automatically select your @iCloud.com email to compose your email.

Airplay on iTunes - can you select a reciever's zone(s)?

Hello, I have Airplay on iTunes streaming fine to a new Denon receiver. Latest firmware / software on all.
Due to the way my home system is set up, I need Airplay to stream to Zone 2 of my receiver instead of Zone 1 (Zone 1 plays only in the den, while Zone 2 lets me play music throughout the house via Control4).
The person who helped with my setup said that when you select 'Multiple' in Airplay, each Zone should show up as an option under the Denon Receiver, so you can select one or both zones of the Denon in Airplay, in which case I could simply select Zone 2. After a lot of seaching I have been unable to verify this though.
I get no Zone options under my receivers in Airplay - only the option to select the receivers themselves.
Does anyone actually see Zone options under their receiver in Airplay? If so, any advice on how to activate this functionality?

So I guess there is no known way for Airtunes streaming to play on zone 2 of a receiver instead of (or in addition to) zone 1?
Being that every A/V receiver must reserve Zone 1 for 5-channel home theatre, this seems like a major limitation of the Denon and Marantz integrations with Airplay. One would think they realized that most users would want to stream in rooms besides where the TV is located...
I guess I'll need to step up to Apple TV and/or Sonos to accomplish this.

Hello, I am experiencing the following problem:
During most sessions with Illustrator, after a while (not sure about the exact amount of time here), once I have selected the hand tool (usually by pressing the "H" key shortcut), Illustrator will not let me select another tool.
The only solution I have arrived at is to save the file (which it does let me do), close and then restart Illustrator.
It's not too much of a frustration, but it does annoy me sometimes. Any ideas?

I get this problem also but it seems more random then switching to the hand tool. Mine just switches to the hand tool itself.
Sometimes I'm able to hit the space bar a few times and the problem stops.
Other times I have to do a full reboot.
I've seen this problem pop up on the forum from time to time but I have never seen a solution.

SCCM2012: Can you create a Query-based "User Collection" using an IP Subnet (or IP Address range) in the Query?

The topic says it all (I hope). I am new to 2012 and I have tried to accomplish this feat all day, which includes researching online, but I have had zero success in finding anything helpful.
Obviously I can create "Device Collections" based on the IP Subnets, and I can do a "Direct Rule" in "User Collections" for the desired IP Subnet, but I do not want to do this because I need the results to update if/when
any changes occur during a "scheduled/incremental update".
The only thing I could find for the "User Collections" was this:
select * from SMS_R_User where SMS_R_User.FullUserName = SMS_R_User.UserName and SMS_R_System.IPAddresses like "111.11.1%"
EXAMPLE (Query for Devices):
select * from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.IPAddresses like "111.11.1%"
Is there a way to Query SCCM (2012) and display the Usernames of computers that login to the (sole) Domain through a specified (or desired) IP Subnet?

Why do you want to install software by location for a user? Why do you care?
Why would you want to create a collected of Users with software installed? PCs have the SW install not users so how would you use it?

I was asked to setup these (Device and User Collections) in this manner so we can limit future distributions/deployments of Applications (and/or Packages) and (OS) Images by these groupings. Apparently there will be occasions where deployments will need
to be segmented as such because the company wants to have them grouped in this manner. If there is a better option available than this, which I would not doubt since I am new to SCCM 2012, then I would appreciate the information.
IMO, you need to go back to the person asking and get and better understand of exactly what they want and more importantly why. Making a collection, just in case doesn't make sense.

Can you use a query object in QOQ Query?

Hi, I have a component with two functions. One does a query
and simply returns the query object (getItem), the other function
in this CFC needs to query this query object by using a QOQ.
However, it's choking on the part of the "FROM" in the getItemTitle
function. Am I calling the internal function incorrectly?
If I dump the results of the getItem function it returns the
query correctly. So the problem is definately with the QOQ query. I
have attached my CFC code.

Taking away the #'s doesn't solve it, cos it then throws an
error about the ()'s I also tried taking them out but no luck.
Here's my latest code, which STILL gives the same error. I'm

I can't get my little head around this one. I have 2 tables

and table 2 that has many entries from table 1

I want the contents of table 1 with the value of col1 from table 2 where the ID is the highest?
so returning table 3:

is this easy to do with a select statment?
