Can you use a debit card to purchase and download apps or does it have to be a credit card

can i use a debit mastercard to download apps or does it have to be a credit card? I used my debit card to buy and download afew apps but now i cant even download free apps without being asked for my billing info and when i enter the info it says it is incorrect when it isnt.

I think it has to do with the way that you order thru ATT. When you order, they put a hold on your account for the purchase amount. In 3-5 days( for PNC) when PNC doesn't see the purchase go thru, they release the funds. ATT will take the money when your phone ships. If you go to the Apple store, they don't take a deposit. They put your name on the priority list and you only give your card when you pick your phone up.

    Hi Steve,
    If you don't have a credit card for the billing information you may be able to use a gift card or another form of payment.
    Please check out this article for details.

    Can you use time capsule for your mac and use readynas to back up your pc's on the same network

    Sure, that is trivial setup.. they both have different names and IP addresses.
    You should be able to use ReadyNas for TM backup but you should check the latest state of play for that.

  • Can you use Time Capsule on a windows and 2 macs at the same time.

    Can you use Time Capsule on a windows and 2 macs at the same time as either a backup for one and a seperate HD drive for two?

    Yes.
    From one viewpoint the Time Capsule is just NAS (Networked Attached Storage) and it supports the file sharing protocols necessary for both Windows and Macs.
    From the viewpoint of the Macs it can also be used by Time Machine for backups.
    As NAS it can be used for storing files, and there are many backup software packages that support NAS on both Windows and Macs.
    In addition from a networking point of view it can serve as a router, wireless access point etc.

    Mirror, if your MBP is early 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or newer.  If older visit www.airparrot.com, a third party app that works OK, mixed reviews but mine works well.

  • HT3702 can you use a debit card with itunes?

    hi, i am wanting to use a debit card from hdfc to make purchase on itunes. when i was living in the usa, making purchases with the debit card went smoothly but here in india despite it being an 'international' card it doesnt seem to go through and is rejected. my card works for many other sites including flipkart and amazon. not sure why apple doesnt accept debit cards

    As far as I know debit cards are no longer accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. Do you have a credit card that you could use instead ? They are generally considered safer when used on sites where the card details are stored. The card also needs to have been issued by a bank in your country and be registered to exactly the same name and address as you have on your iTunes account.

  • Can you use an iTunes Giftcard to Purchase iPod Touch 2.0 Update?

    This might sound like a stupid question but i am wondering this because on the main page it says (Canada Store)
    "note that store credits cannot be applied toward this purchase"
    Help appreciated as I won't spend 20$ on a giftcard if it won't work
    Thanks

    If you are located in Canada, you cannot use an iTunes Gift Card to purchase the version 2.0 upgrade or any applications. You can use the gift card for music and video purchases. There were a number of threads about this right after the upgrade was released. According to one of the ones I read, it has to do with some provision in Canadian law. So, lobby your MP.
    Best of luck.

  • Can you use a custom cursor with drag and drop?

    Hi there! I'm a newbie flash user and working on a simulation for a graduate course in instructional design. I'm using Flash Professional CC on Mac. Here's what I'm trying to do. I have several draggable sprites on the stage and three target sprites. I have specified the original x,y locations of the sprites and have set the end x,y locations as those of each of the three targets. Items must be dragged to one of the three targets.
    Some questions:
    1. Can I specify more than one End x,y location for a draggable sprite? I'm creating a lesson to teach kindergartners how to sort lunchroom waste. If they have a napkin, for example, it could either go into the compost OR into the recycling. In cases like this where an item could really be placed into more than one bin, I want them to get it right if they do either of those things, rather than forcing them to choose which one.
    2. To make my project more "fun" for kids, I wanted to customize the cursor with a graphic of  hand. When I tried this in the flash file it works perfectly until I add the drag and drop functionality for the wasted items. Then the cursor will more around  but not pick up any items. Once I revert back to the standard pointer, the correct drag and drop functionality is restored.
    3. I have it set to snap back to the original location if learner attempts to drop the item on the wrong target. I want to be able to play a sound file when that happens, as well as play a sound file when it lands on the correct target, as well as shrink the item and change its opacity so that it appears invisible. I want to give the illusion of it being placed into the bin. I have no idea as to the proper way to code these events so that they happen.

    use the sound class to create a sound:
    // initialize your correct sound once with

    // apply the play() method everytime you want your sound to play:
    correctSound.play();
    // change an object's opacity:
    someobject.alpha = .3;  // partially visible
    someobject.alpha = 1;  // fully visible
    someobject.visible=false;  // not visible, at all.
    // change an object's scale

  • Can you use a wired ethernet to internet AND wireless to apple tv

    since getting the appletv, i had connected it wirelessly through the apple extreme (n) base station and kept my internet setup with gigaport #1 with no problem. since the latest updates, apple tv is very sensitive....does not work if the wired ports are used and will not even show up in iTunes.....anyone having similar problems? anyone able to fix this? thanks

    thanks WC.
    i saw this post and went to my account, changed it from m/c to none and saw my total update (I had recently rented 2 HD movies so my account decreased accordingly)
    BUT, before I left the pay't information screen, I chose cancel instead of done. I wanted to leave my CC there for iphone purchases (and b/c we can't use GCs yet).
    Anyhoo, it still worked - and I'm glad it did b/c I just purchased $100 in GCs from the latest best buy sale.
    Cheers,

  • Can you use migration assistant between 10.4 and 10.8

    I'm trying to use migration assistant to transfer applications and files from a G5 imac running 10.4.11 to a brand new iMac i5 on 10.8.2. Have connected through ethernet cable but machines don't recognise each other!
    Is this an OS problem or a PowerPC vs Intel issue?

    Be careful about trying to migrate applications from a G5 to an Intel mac running Mt. Lion (10.8.x).  They may not work.  Rosetta is no longer supported, so older applications that ran on your G5 may not run at all on your new iMac.  And even some 'universal' apps that ran on 10.4 (Tiger) will not run well if at all on Mt. Lion.
    It would be best if you install current versions of the applications you are interested in, from scrtach, instead of migrating what are now very old versions.

    When ever I have to put my password in to buy download an app, purchase a song and album a please try again or unable to purchase/download the app or song pops up every time. The other day I pre-order an album and the error message came up but it said I already purchase the songs you were able to buy but it's not in music folder. Anyone experience this before this error message?

    Do you live in Canada? If so, you will need a credit card to purchase apps. Gift cards can only be used for music, movies, television shows and music videos.
