Cann't connect to PostgreSQL

I cann't connect to PostgreSQL.
I have database_connectivity_toolkit, and thy to connect PostgreSQL with ODBC driver, but have a error:
Also I have LabSQL. And when I try connect with next string: "Driver={PostgreSQL};Server=localhost;Port=5432;Database=postgres;Uid=postgres;Pwd=mypass;"I also have error:
I cann't find good information about this in internet and don't know what to do. Help me.

The problem is that the driver name you specified is incorrect. The site Kate pointed you to is very good for sorting out this sort of thing. In addition, try to find a native ADO or OLEDB drivers. You will get much better performance.

  • Cann't connect to WLC 2504

    Good day.
    I have new installation of AIR-CT2504. I try to connect by console, but no response on terminal. (Use notebook+ USB -COM + console cable). When connect ethernet cable to 1st port of WLC and switch port(SF200) i see controller by CDP. At first, when I  see IP-address of WLC, connect notebook to it's port, and configure controller with Web-interface (maybe somthing incorrect). I change IP-address of management interface. WLC reboot, and now i cann't connect  to it anymore.
    By CDP I see new IP and native VLAN 0, but cann't ping it.
    How can I configure WLC now? Or what trouble with console?
    P.S. Sory for my bad english.

    Well the wireless equipment is different. If you console into the AP, does it work? If not, then double check your settings.
    Make sure of this. This can be different from the switches and routers.

  • Power Query Update breaks connection to PostgreSQL database

    After the update to Power Query 2.11.3625.144, we can't connect our PostgreSQL database anymore.
    Error message is:
    DataSource.NotFound: PostgreSQL: Unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'Npgsql'.
    This error may have been the result of provider-specific client software being required but missing on this computer.  To download client software for this provider, visit the following site and choose at minimum 'Npgsql version 2.0.12': http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=282716
    Readding the Npgsql driver doesn't solve the issue. Has the version requirement changed with the Power Query update? Or is PostgreSQL connectivity completely broken?

    Hmm,
    If I add the line, I get the following error message in Power Query:
    'Npgsql' returned the error: 'Unrecognized element. (C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config line 169)'.
    This error may have been the result of provider-specific client software being required but missing on this computer.  To download client software for this provider, visit the following site and choose at minimum 'Npgsql version 2.0.12': http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=282716
    The code in the machine config looks like this:
      <system.data>
            <DbProviderFactories />
            <add description=".Net Framework Data Provider for Postgresql Server" type="Npgsql.NpgsqlFactory, Npgsql, Version=2.0.12.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5d8b90d52f46fda7" name="Npgsql Data Provider" invariant="Npgsql" support="FF"/>
        </system.data>
    The node seems to be empty by default. Can it be that the surrounding stuff has to be differently written in that case?

  • Help!! How To Connect Java & PostgreSQL Database

    I'm final year student in comp sc. I'm doing java in my thesis.
    How to get/read data from postgresql using java?
    My thesis is "2 Dimensional Graph Statistics Online Viewing Using Java Applet". So i need a mechanism how to read data from postgresql database using java programming. Please Help!!

    Hi,
    getting started you need some basics on JDBC.
    Have a look at the tutorials, or look at this site (its german):
    http://www.furchur.de/de/informatik/laborberichte2.htm#dbswt
    Have a look at the java.sql package.
    First you need to build up a connection using
    java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(...)
    The parameter for the PostgreSQL you must look somewhere.
    After you have a connection you can use Statements and PreparedStatements to get and set data in the database.
    At the end, make sure, the connection will be closed, otherwise data can be lost.
    Hope that will help you a little bit

  • Visual Studio 2010 64bit cann't connect Oracle database through 64bit ODBC Driver

    Hi,
    I am developing an 64bit And-In software. My OS is windows7 64bit Ultimate. Developer tool is
    Microsoft  Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate 64bit any-CUP.
    Server is SUN server and Oracle database 10.2.0.5 64bit enterprise edition.
    I have installed instantclient-odbc-win64-10.2.0.5 on my computer.
    I am able to connect through the command line sqlplus user/pass@server.
    In date source(c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe), ODBC Driver connection successful.
    But in VS2010 C#, use Tools -> Connect Database,I get an error 193 (Oracle in
    instantclient10_2,c:\ora10_64\SQORA32.dll) cann't be loaded.
    SQORA32.dll is 32bit ODBC Driver or 64bit ODBC Driver?
    How can I connect database with vs2010 64bit?
    Regards

    There is no Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate 64bit as far as I know.  It's a 32 bit app.    Generally you'd need to install a 32 bit client to use the 32 bit tools.
    Hope it helps,
    Greg

  • Jdbc connection or PostgreSql connector

    Hello
    I have te create a universe on a postgresql database.
    Is it possible to use jdbc connector ?
    Is there a postgresql connector ?
    Thank you for you help

    I believe this will be completely experimental on your part.  Postgresql db is not a supported datasource.  However, since you will be attempting a jdbc connection, I do not see why it should not work.
    You will, of course need the jdbc driver jar in your class path.
    The connection information shpould work using:
    The classname  org.postgresql.Driver
    Connection URL would be in the form:
    jdbc:postgresql://[HOST_NAME]:[PORT_NUMBER]/[DATABASE_NAME]
