Cannot add a row to a database using generated PHP - possible bug?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it seems to straddle a few different technologies.
First, I followed this tutorial to generate PHP scripts for access to the databases:
http://directormx2.com/devnet/flex/articles/flashbuilder4_introspector_php.html
Next, I tried to add a button to add a row to the table. Here's my event handler, which seems to have no effect - even after restarting my program.
protected function buttonAdd_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
var user:User = new User();
user.ID = 1000;
user.FIRST_NAME = "Test";
user.LAST_NAME = "User";
user.DISPLAY_NAME = "hey you";
user.COMPANY_ID = "2";
user.LOGIN_ID = "100";
user.LOGIN_PASSWORD = "xxx";
user.DEPARTMENT = "dept";
userService.createUser(user);
I discovered that if I right-clicked on Data/Services > UserService > createUser(item: User) : int, I could select "Test Operation..." and call the service function manually. I selected the "..." under Enter Value, entered the following data into the dialog, and verified that it was added to my database.
ID:200,
FIRST_NAME:"test",
LAST_NAME:"hey",
DISPLAY_NAME:"hey",
COMPANY_ID:2,
LOGIN_ID:100,
LOGIN_PASSWORD:"xx",
DEPARTMENT:"xxx"
What's weird to me here is that COMPANY_ID and LOGIN_ID are strings, not integers, and yet if I use quotes on these fields the data is rejected (the OK button is not available). I can't assign ints to user.COMPANY_ID or user.LOGIN_ID in my MXML code, since these are declared as strings. Maybe this has nothing to do with the problem, but it seems suspicious to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! If it's not blindindly obvious from my post, I'm not a PHP programmer, but am trying to build the simplest of RIAs. Thank you.

SOLVED.
The answer is: When I took the server out of the pool to use it for another project, I configured my SAN to remove the LUNs that were shared between my Oracle VM servers. After reinstalling Oracle VM on that server, I failed to present the LUNs to it again. After fixing that, the server rejoined the pool with no problem.

    Ok, connect to auxiliary intance and post
    show parameter db_create
    show parameter control_filesIn your pfile, Have you mentioned single quotes?
    If your database with OMF then if you give it as below. as there is some work around
    Control_files='+DISK1/DUP/controlfile/control01.ctl','+DISK1/DUP/controlfile/control02.ctl'
    Check this too *Ora-1276 Error Recreating The Controlfile When Using +Asm [ID 303187.1]*

    Thanking you in advance!

    Hi,
    If you have the database toolkit you can delete a row using just a SQL Query to "DB Tools Execute Query.VI"
    Example:
    DELETE FROM Table name Where SerialNum='Value' And Date='Value' And Time='Value'
    See also attached VI

    Sorry I cannot format the code for easy reading!
    The page is submitting to itself. See action = \"$uri\". I used the same logic to enter SELECT querries into the database. It pulls and displays data back on the webpage. The code I used for this is below. Compare it with the one above for inserting data into the table.

    I dont know what table names and fields you have but
    say you have a table called XYZ which has a primary
    key field called keyID.
    So in order to get the last row inserted, you could
    do something like
    Select *
    from XYZ
    where keyID = (Select MAX(keyID) from XYZ);
    Good Luckwhat gubloo said is correct ...But this is all in MS SQL Server I don't know the syntax and key words in MYSQL
    This works fine if the emp_id is incremental and of type integer
    Query:
    select      *
    from      employee e,  (select max(emp_id) as emp_id from employee) z
    where      e.emp_id = z.emp_id
    or
    select top 1 * from employee order by emp_id descUday

  • Deleting rows in a database using a date-condition

    Hi - Can someone help me with this? I wan't to delete old data from a database. More specific, delete all data from ex 2002.(the year to be deleted is coming from a textfield) The date is stored in the database like this; dd.mm.yyyy.
    So a delete statement would be something like this: "delete from mytable where date = 2002". Obviously this doesn't work. The problem is how to syncronize the dates i.e have the same types. Any suggestions??
    I'm using a jdbc.odbc bridge.

    Oh, the date in the database IS a Date type? (You implied it was text when you said it was in the form mm.dd.yyyy) If that's the case, then you can do this (this is simplistic and you really should use PreparedStatements instead, but for brevity's sake):
    String year = (input from user)
    String targetDate = year + "0101";
    String SQL = "delete from myTable where date <= '" + targetDate + "'";
    // execute SQL here

  • 11g Database Adapter: How to make queries using LIKE with % (possible bug?)

    Hi there!
    Sorry if this has been answered before, but the forum search ignores '%' so I could not find anything relevant. I'm completely at a loss here guys so any help will be really appreciated.
    I've got a database adapter that executes a "pure SQL" query:
    select * from supplier t
    WHERE t.idsupplier = #idSupplierParam OR #idSupplierParam2 IS NULL
    AND t.name like '%' || #nameParam || '%' OR #nameParam2 IS NULL
    AND t.address like '%' || #addressParam || '%' OR #addressParam2 IS NULL
    AND t.description like '%' || #descParam || '%' OR #descParam2 IS NULL
    I've got a single record in my DB with name= 'supplier1'
    When I execute my bpel passing 'sup' as nameParam and nameParam2, everything is right and I get my supplier1 in the results.
    BUT if I pass 'asdfghj' as name, I still get my 'supplier1' in the results ¿¿¿???
    ¿Is this a bug? ¿Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!!

    No, but thanks for trying. Iif you had read my post you'd had found that I wrote
    +When I execute my bpel passing 'sup' as nameParam and nameParam2+
    But I double checked against that just in case. I made a test query
    select * from supplier t WHERE t.name like '%' || #nameParam || '%'
    And no matter what I pass as nameParam, I always GET ALL THE RECORDS in my table. ¿Any idea what's going on? It's like param is being ignored and the query that is executed is select * from supplier t WHERE t.name like '%%' which would of course return everything in the DB. :(
    Help plz!!

    OCILogoff ($db_conn);
    ?>
    Could you please advice me ? whats wrong with that script ?

    What is the error you get? What solutions have you tried already?

  • XControl always locked when used in class -- possible bug?

    Hi,
    This is not dissimilar to this question. However, I think that the issue is slightly different and possibly a bug. If do the following:
    create a project,
    create an XControl,
    create a class,
    add an instance of the XControl to a class method
    you should see that the XControl is locked all of the time. This only occurs when the XControl is used with a class. If the XControl is placed on a VI, in a project library or not, the XControl will only be locked when the VI which is using it is open (i.e., in memory and the XControl is running).
    This may be expected behaviour due to the way classes are loaded; however, as a user I find it unexpected -- is it a bug?
    Regards,
    Steve.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Unlike normal libraries (.lvlib), classes always load all their member VIs into memory when the class is loaded into memory.  So if one of those VIs uses an XControl, then it will become locked as soon as you load the owning class into memory, even if the VI is not open.  You might be able to get around this by right-clicking the XControl in the project and selecting "Unlock Library for Editing".  This will temporarily break any VIs that call the XControl until you are done editing it.

  • Is there a function in labVIEW (implemented in Imaq for example) to add a row or more rows to an image ??

    Hi,
    I would like to know if this is possible. I know it's possible to replce a row with another using IMAQ, but I don't want to replace a row in an image but to ADD a row to an image. Is this possible??
    Thanks in advance
    Lennaert

    By using a combination of the IMAQ Vision VI's and LabVIEW's array functions, you can insert a row into an image.
    In the IMAQ Vision palette, there are two functions that convert images to and from arrays: IMAQ ImageToArray and IMAQ ArrayToImage. With the ImageToArray function, you can turn your image into a 2D array of pixel intensities. Once you have this array, you can use the Insert Into Array function in the array palette to add your row. (Note: This row would be an array of intensity values) Then you can convert your new 2D array back into an image using the ArrayToImage VI.
    Hope this information helps!

  • Is this the fastest way to insert 100k rows into a database?

    I'm looking to insert ~100k rows into a database as fast as possible. I'm connected to the database through a small LAN with static IP adresses. The target database is running my SQL. Here's the fastest I've gotten the code so far. Task manager shows that it's only sending like 2.5mbps. If I take the size of the 2D array (64MB) and divide by the time it takes to transfer it currently, I calculate ~160kbps. Is that the best I can hope for with the NI DB Toolkit?
    CLD (2014)

    Hi,
    Use DB Tool Insert Data VI to insert the data in the database.
    You can insert complete row data at a time. No need to insert single-single element in database this will reduce your code performance.
