using labview 6.1 I create a table with various rows and columns and store bulk of data's in them.,, what procedure should I follow to remove only one paticular row from the database? Help me out with an example please,,

If you have the database toolkit you can delete a row using just a SQL Query to "DB Tools Execute Query.VI"
Example:
DELETE FROM Table name Where SerialNum='Value' And Date='Value' And Time='Value'

Selecting a one row from the database is not working

Hi all I am having a small problem with getting a row from my database to show up. Here is the code for the search that I want to do

When I run the first code I get an error of SQL Exception: Unknown column 'anthony' in 'where clause'. But yet when I run the query of
Select * from employee where FirstName = 'anthony'
within the mysql commandline I get the proper result. So my question is why when running this in the command line do I get the proper result but when running the code I do not?

Select * from employee where FirstName = 'anthony'the query he's constructing in his code is
Select * from employee where FirstName = anthonySince there are no quotes around anthony, it's treated as a column name.
If he had properly used PreparedStatment as suggested in reply 1, that would not be an issue. My guess, however, is that when he claims he's using PS, it's as Tolls suggested a couple of posts ago--he's simply replacing the Statement with a PreparedStatement, but not using the parameters as suggested.
The wrong thing for OP to do at this point is see my above comment about the quotes and explicitly add them in the query string. The right thing to do, of course, is to actually use PS's parameters.

How to get first 10 records from the database using JSP

i want ot get first 10 records from the database and then after clicking the next button in the page,it must show the next precceding 10 records from the database.i am getting the first 10 records .but how to post to the same page to get another preceeding 10 record.

Search the forums - this has been asked a lot. I usually recommend experimenting with tops and order bys until you're satisfied.

As you see that the first record on each repeated row sets are required

Using the aggregate FIRST (or LAST) function like that, there's no guarantee that all of the output values on the same row will come from the same row in the original table. To do that, you can use the analytic ROW_NUMBER function, like this:
WITH     got_r_num     AS
     SELECT     name, address, zip, ...
     ,     ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY name
                               ORDER BY         address
                         ,                zip
                       )      AS r_num
     FROM     table_x
SELECT     name, address, zip, ...
FROM     got_r_num
WHERE     r_num     = 1
;This assumes the "first" row is the one with the first address (in alphabetic order), and, in the event of a tie, the one with the lowest zip (however "lowest" is defined for zip). You can specify any order you want in the analytic ORDER BY clause.

Explain exactly what "first" means in this problem.Point out where the query above (or the one posted by Claytonian, if that seems closer) is getting the wrong results, and explain how you'd get the right results in those places.
If necessary, post new sample data (either CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, or a WITH clause, as Claytonian did) and the results you want from that data.

Huh? So to delete the row, I need to expose a method. But where? Do I do this in the AppModuleImpl so I can expose it to the Client Interface? But then how do I access entities? And what data type is the #{bindings.iteratorName.currentRow.dataProvider}?
If anyone could point me in a general direction, it'd be great.

Thank you both for your posts. I'm amazed there's such a great place to get help. Between the forums, ADF code corner, Not Yet Documented ADF Samples, various blogs and tutorials, it's obvious you guys really care about what you do.
On my example, that approach doesn't seem to work. I tried following it like so in one of the video tutorials by Shay: http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2010/04/doing_two_declarative_operatio.html. Following Shay's approach, in my particular case, deletes only from the table. Perhaps it is due to my iterator / collection setup?
TipsSelector (1 to 1) -> TipsView (1 to *)-> DependentBom -(1 to * Recursive)> RecursiveBom
TipsSelector references the same View Object as TipsView, but it is set as a 1 to 1 relationship so that I can show TipsView on the page one record at a time. This is the same setup as Tuhra2's hierarchy veiwer example. TipsView / DependentBom is a classic parent / child setup. RecursiveBom is DependentBom referencing itself. Think of it as departments within departments within departments etc...
I have dragged TipsSelector's Named Criteria (All Queriable Attributes) onto my page and created an ADF Query with Table. A remove button on the table's toolbar calls the two actions, Delete (from TipsSelector's iterator) and then Commit. I have modified the code slightly from my previous post but the end result seems to be the same.

   Bring more than one row into main window of script.
   For this you need to do some changes for data which you pass to main window.At a time you need to pass more than one row,so for this you need to define one structure.See below code.
Types:begin of ty_rows,
     include structure (your row_structure),
     include structure (your row_sturcture),
Types:end of ty_rows.
for example....
If i need to pass 2 vendor details at a time to main window then the structure should be like this.
Types:begin of ty_rows,
       vendor1 like lfa1-lifnr,
       vendor1_name like lfa1-name1,
       vendor2 like lfa1-lifnr,
       vendor2_name like lfa1-name1,
      end of ty_rows.
Data:i_main type standard table of ty_rows,
     wa_main type ty_rows.
Based on condition you can pass more than one rows of your actual internal table data to i_main internal table.
Then you can pass i_main internal table to your main window.

I used a pre-loaded credit card so when it ran out i had problems, primarily because it wont let me download or update anything until the "billing problem with the last transaction" was resolved. I dont really care if the purchase goes through but i want to be able to update stuff again and it wont give me the option to select 'none' under payment type. do i have to put another card on there just so i can "resolve the billing problem" and then i have to take it off again or is there a way around this or is it a never ending cycle?

Similarly, the LAST_DATE, LAST_SEC, NEXT_DAY, NEXT_SEC can be used to determine if the Job has been running successfully.
if you are on 11g, you should consider using DBMS_SCHEDULER.
