Cannot add patterns to the swatch pallete

For some reason it doesnt add the vector graphic to the swatch pallete.
I can drag it in to the pallete, it shows the "+" sign by the pointer when I drag it in, but it doesnt add it to the pallete.
Anyone know why this may by?

Which version of Illustrator are you using? What kind of object(s) exactly are you dragging onto the Swatches Palette? What happens if you go the Edit > Define Pattern route instead.
Please describe in detail.

How do I add PMS colors to swatches pallette

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add PMS colors to the swatches pallette? I'm running Win2000. Illustrator 10.

First off, each document has its own Swatches palette (also its own Symbol, Brush and Styles palettes.) So when you say "the" Swatches palette, it is not clear whether you are asking how to add Pantone colors to the Swatches palette belonging to the current document, or whether you are asking how to add Pantone colors to the Swatches palette that gets installed in new blank documents.
To do the former, you just open one of the Pantone Swatch libraries (from the Window menu), have a document open, and click on any Pantone swatch that you want to add to the Swatches palette of the current top open document. To add multiple swatches you can also shift-click to select a range of them, then use the Add to Swatches command on the library's palette menu.
To do the latter, you open as a regular document the Adobe Illustrator Startup_CMYK or Startup_RGB documents located in the Plug-ins folder. Then you do the same steps as above to copy swatches from the Pantone libraries to the startup document's Swatches palette. Then you save the startup document, and restart Illustrator.
The contents of all the palettes in the startup documents are copied into any new blank document that you create for that color mode. Since palette contents take up room in each file, just like regular art does, as long as you have the startup document open for editing you may want to take the opportunity to make your new files smaller, by removing from your startup documents any brushes, symbols or patterns that you never expect to use.
And finally, if what you want to do is set up a swatch library palette that contains your favorite Pantone colors, and which is available for
all documents, whether new blank ones or existing documents that were created earlier by yourself or even sent to you by someone else, what you should do is make a new blank document, install your favorite Pantone colors into it, and save that document with a name of your choice (like "Favorite PMS colors") in the Presets/Swatches folder. Then quit Illustrator, restart, open that document from the Swatch Libraries menu, and check the Persistent option in the library's palette menu. The Persistent option means that the library gets automatically loaded when you startup Illustrator. (Any random .ai document saved anywhere can be loaded as a library palette using the Other Library... command, but only documents that were located in the appropriate Presets folder when Illustrator was started will appear on the pullout menu and have a Persistent checkbox.)

Cannot add objects in the role

Hi,
i have created a role in sap portal, but i cannot see the properties of this role by clicking on properties button in the role editor.
other problem: i cannot add any object in this role, when i open the role and trying to add a page object for example, nothing happened.
Hawever i have an administrator role.

i have created ziview in a folder IVIEW
i have created zrole in a folder ROLE.
i have opened zrole in the role editor and have clicked on zpage to add it in zrole bur nothing happened.
in the role editor i cannot also see the properties by clicking on properties button in role ditor

Cannot add cards in the passbook

hello guys,
I have an IPhone 6 16Gb and I cannot find anything about Apple pay in my phone.
When I go to the settings the option to active the Apple pay ( in the part where exist the icloud and Apple Store )
when I access my passbook the only oprion that show is the scan the code ( nothing about add cards as you can see in the image).
Anyone with this problem or know how to solve it?

TS3276 I cannot add contacts to the address book by clicking "add sender to address book."

In Apple Mail, OS 10.7.3, when I click on add sender to address book, nothing gets added. The address book doesn't change. When I try adding addresses via previous recipients, the button is active, but when I click, nothing is added to the address book. Any ideas for me?

Same thing happens to me. Running 10.9.2 on Macbook Air. Everything worked fine up until a few weeks ago then it stopped behaving.

New i photo app...AWFULL. No events shown...cannot add or change the music for a slideshow...It was so easy before

Moments in Photo are the new Events. There's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When the library was first migrated there was a folder created titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events are represented by an album in the folder. To open the sidebar if it's not open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.
The downside to the simulation is that the Album/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can be sorted manually. Ask Apple for more sorting options in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.
Now if you want to merge Album A into Album B click on Album A in the sidebar. Select all of the photos in A and drag them onto the Album B icon in the sidebar. Check to make sure all of the photos are in Album B and before deleting Album A.

Is it possible to create patterns without the swatch bound box. the shape is hexagon and I want to stack brick style directly on top of each other.

While it's true that AI only works with square tiles internally, the pattern editing mode in CS6 still would allow you to create hexagon patterns.
Check out the manual on how to use the pattern editing mode.

Cannot add music to the latest version of i tunes

I have downloaded the latest version of i tunes but i am unable to add any content i have tried importing from a disc and also drag and drop, it shows the content being added in the top progress bar but when its finished the content simply isn't there.
I have also used amazon cloud to download music and as it's downloading it says after each track that it has been added to i tunes but the music is just not there.

Recent builds of iTunes seem to have an occasional problem where the main music section doesn't always list all the music that has been added to the library. Create a smart playlist with the name of one of the albums and you should find that the media is actually present. Often adding some more media seems to fix things. Downloading the iTunes Free Single of the Week has a good success rate.
Alternatively you could try closing iTunes, then removing the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder and restarting. This will cause iTunes to run a consistency check on the database which should sort out any anomalies.
BTW I had a clue from another thread that the "missing" tracks might be listed in the Unknown Artist/Unknown Album area at the bottom of the listings. Would you mind taking a look to see if you see the same?

I have a Plusnet email account but cannot add folders to the mailbox

I have added an IMAP Plusnet email account to my mail but when I try to add a new folder to the mailbox I get a message saying it can't be added to the server. Plusnet say it is not a problem with their system.

Assuming that you can send and receive emails with he account and that everything else is working OK, close the mail app completely and reboot the iPad. I also assume that you are seeing the Edit button at the top of the email account window that let's you add New Mailboxes.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app thumbnail preview window to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Cannot add any printers, the "plus" button does nothing.

I have a fresh install of Leopard with all updates to 10.5.1. When I attempt to add a printer, I open System Preferences, and click on "Print & Fax"
I have no printers. It says "Click + to add a printer or fax" so i click on the "+".
But nothing happens, litterly, its like a button that has no event associated with it.
I opened the console, and no error is thrown.
I looked at the CUPS web interface, but I see no printers, or jobs.
Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Nevermind. It was an incompatible driver from a previously added printer that was causing the freak out.

I am not allowed to download LR, is there any particularly reason for this? - I cannot add it to the CC app nor can i download it... ?

Glad they finally added a "Home Videos" tag, but wish that it was a compeltely separate category like Music, Movies, TV Shows. Still have all my home videos tagged as a "TV Show" with track numbers to keep them in order, disc number x of 12 to indicate the month, and season used to indicate the year. Has worked nicely for years but every new version of iTunes I hope (and have suggested) that they will separate this out.
A real way to maintain home movie metadata and organization would be much appreciated. Giving Home Videos as a tab within Movies is a start, but doesn't recognize the fact that these kinds of videos are completely different from "Movies." People scroll through or look for movies by name, home videos by date or event (more like iPhoto organizes things). Nobody wants to hunt for baby's first steps in a big alphabetical list somewhere between "The Avengers" and "Willy Wonka."

If you photos still show downloading after two days, it sounds like you started an iCloud restore on the store's wifi, then tried to continue on your current wifi, but it is failing. You will need to make sure you are on a wifi connection you can stay on for a couple of hours, then go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Once your iPhone is erased, go through the set up assistant and choose to restore from iCloud backup. There you will log in and start the restore again. When all of your photos and apps are loaded, then you can leave your wifi location, but do not do this until those items are back on your iPhone.

I am using I movie effect " the game" to create a trailer of my own pics, but when I use movie effect I cannot add pics to the movie so can someone please help me out with this problem, I baiscally need to add pics in movie effects instead of clips. As you know pics can only be used in album scrapbook filmstrip etc etc effect & nt in movie effect.

Select the Trailer you are working on, then from iMovie's menu select File>Convert to Project. You will now be able to edit the Trailer just like a normal project, including adding photos.
It's best to duplicate the Trailer before converting it. In Project Library view (where all your projects are listed), click on your Trailer then from the menu select File>Duplicate Project.
