Cannot add wsdl as web reference

Hi,
I am trying to add wsdl file as web reference to a visual studio project. But when I am trying to add the url, I am getting following message on right side : The HTML document does not contain Web service discovery information.
And following result is getting in out put.

When I am typing the wsdl url in browser, I can get the xml file. And also when I am using this wsdl in
SOAP UI, I can get the functions and I can call the services also.

Web services: cannot fint "Create a Web Reference Manually"

what's up guys,
I'm using Application Express 2.2.1.00.04 ..
I'm trying to manually create a web service reference. I read the manual and found this:
To create a manual Web reference:
* On the Application home page, click Shared Components.
* Under Logic, click Web Service References.
* Click Create.
* For Search UDDI, select No and click Next.
* From the Tasks list on the right, click the Create Web Reference Manually link.
* The Create/Edit Web Service page appears.
but I can't find "Create Web Reference Manually" in the tasks list..
please help me..

Web reference WSDL not conforming to SOAP standard

I built a web service based on the BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST function module using the "create web service" wizard. The generated web service endpoint is active in SOAMANAGER transaction.
When I try to generate a proxy class in Visual Studio 2005 using the "Add web reference" tool the service method is shown as expected in the preview window. However, when I click the "Add Reference" button I get the following error message:

No code generated.
The Solution Explorer window shows the Web Reference object generated with components Reference.map, Reference.cs and a WSDL file; however the Reference.cs proxy class has no code in it and there are no objects for the method parameters.
When running the WSDL.exe program from the command line, the following error message is generated:

I'm not familiar with the tools you described to create the Web Service aboved SAP BAPI's, but i have 2 ideas which you can start with.
I am part of the team developed the "ESE for .NET" and on the last step of our tool we are using VS API to "Add Web Reference".
We have noticed 2 ocaasions that might interest you:
1. Can you please verify that the WSDL contains the "wsdl:binding" part ?
   according to the error message you described you are missing the binding part.
   As you know WSDL of .NET Web Service combined of 5 major sections: "wsdl:types, "wsdl:message, "wsdl:portType, "wsdl:binding" & "wsdl:service".
   .NET proxy generation can't be executed on a WSDL based on a Service Definition only, it must have the "wsdl:binding" part which always comes only with
   the End Points WSDL from SAP services.
2. Can you send me the WSDL file by email ? [email protected]
3. Another important issue for Runtime of the Services - SAP Web Service schema is a little different than MS schema, you should look for "parameters" inside the WSDL and change it to "paramter".

Problem with Web Services Navigator - Cannot download WSDL

I'm having problem testing webservices.
After created and manteined the web services, when I try to TEST from WSADMIN -->Webservice HomePage
I'm redirected to a page where there is:

Cant add Web Reference for web service

Hi all.
I cant seem to add a web reference to an outside web service.
I have tested some code in Visual Studio and it all works fine, but
now Im importing the code into my dreamweaver website.
I have went to "Window" menu and then "Components", and along
the right hand side the components tab opens. It has a drop down
list with "Web Services" in it. Underneath it, it says press the
"+" button to add the service. But there is no plus button! I have
looked at manuals, and it does show a "+" sign beside the drop down
box, but its not on my Dreamweaver!
I am using dreamweaver 8. This is a full product as it is at
my work.
Any help would be great.

Hi all.
Further to my previous post, I have noticed that my
colleagues install of dreamweaver seems to have this "+" sign in
the components panel, so I have tried to add the web service to the
page using his machine.
But I now come up with a different problem! I click on the
"Add using WSDL" from the drop down lost at top, but when I click
on the drop down for the "Proxy Generator" there is nothing in it.
When I go into the menu to edit the proxy's, I can see the one for
ASP.net VB which is the one I would be using, but when I click on
"Done" and go back to the page with the WSDL URL and the proxy,
nothing is showing in the proxy generator!
Can anyone shed light on this?

I created a "News" folder. I cannot add "The Washington Post" to the folder. I have no trouble adding other Web pages to the folder.

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Scheduling SSIS with Web Reference in Script Component fails.

I'm using SSIS on an SQL Server 2014 to create invoices in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.
To create the invoices in NAV I use their Web services via a Script Component.
The reference is added using "Add Service Reference" - Advanced - "Add Web Reference" all according to the Dynamics NAV documentation. Found here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd355316(v=nav.80).aspx
FYI: You cannot add it as a "Service reference" but have to use the older "Web Reference"
The package will run without any problem in Visual Studio but as soon as I Deploy the Package and try to schedule it the package fails on the Script Component with the error:
"The binary code for the script not found. Please open the script in the designer by clicking Edit Script button and make sure it builds successfully."
I've tried to run the package in both using the 32bit and 64bit runtime. I have also tried to copy the content of the reference.cs from the reference and added it to a new class according to the steps below. But I still get the same error.
1. Open Script component 'Select all files' icon in the solution explore
2. Drill down to webreference, and locate reference.cs file3. Copy the content of this file to a new class file.4.
Delete the webreference5 .Recompile your code, save and exit6. Open the project to verify that the reference is saved.
Environment information:

The code builds successfully in VSTA.
When I now try to deploy it to my "Integration Services Catalog" on my dev machine the package will execute without problem. When I deploy it to the production server I get the error. When scheduling on the production server I've created Credentials
and a Proxy with my own user (same as on my dev machine).
The production server has access to the web service that I'm trying to call (they are on the same domain network).
I have managed to get rid of the error in one package using the technique below. But to me this just seemst to be a strange workaround.
1. Open Script component 'Select all files' icon in the solution explore
2. Drill down to webreference, and locate reference.cs file3. Copy the content of this file to a new class file.4.
Delete the webreference5 .Recompile your code, save and exit6. Open the project to verify that the reference is saved.

Web Reference inside Script Task causes Binary code for script not found error

I am attempting to access a SOAP web API (sales force) from a SSIS package. To do this I created a script task.
Inside the script task I went to Add Service Reference. Then I click advanced to make it a web reference. Then I point it to the WSDL file and give it a name SFEnterprise. It successfully finds and adds the Web Reference to the script task.
I leave scriptMain.cs alone and I have no warnrings and no errors. Now in the solution explorer I right-click the script task and hit BUILD. I see the message from Output that BUILD succeeded.
I close the VSTA script editor and now I am back on the control flow window. However I have a red X on the script task with the following message. "The Binary code for the script is not found. Please open the script in the designer by clicking EditScript
button and make sure it builds successfully"
But it does build successfully! And I have not even added any custom code except for the web reference using the WSDL file.
I am using SSIS 2012 and Visual Studio 2012. I have been reading about this binary code error message on Google searches and suggestions about delay validation and turning off pre-compile do not apply to SSIS 2012.
Is SSIS not capable of doing this?

I was wanting to use the 2.0 coding style of accessing the soap service which is supported by adding the web reference vs. adding a service reference. But using a service reference instead of web reference actually allows the script task to compile. This
is really odd behavior. I wonder why one works and not the other.
Changing my C# code over to service reference coding style to access the SOAP service was still returning an error. When I added a break point I found the error message "Could not find default endpoint element that references contract in the ServiceModel
client configuration section"when calling new SoapClient();
I found this page http://www.sqlis.com/sqlis/post/Where-is-my-appconfig-for-SSIS.aspx and after I copied the System.ServiceModel app settings from the script task app.config to the DTSDebugHost.exe.config it was able to successfully login to the endpoint
during package debug mode.
This means I will have to edit the SQL Server DTS config files on the prod SSIS server to get the package to actually run in the job agent.
So for now I am good I think just plugging away at coding what the script task is actually supposed to do now that is can actually login.

How to add wsdl file in development environment

Hi, I am using visual studio 2008. I am trying to add wsdl file into my web application. I have downloaded the wsdl file from CRM on demand and stored it in one folder "oraclewebservice" in C drive. i am trying to add it through "add web reference" in VS2008. I have defined the path as c:/oraclewebservices/account.wsdl but i am getting error as "The document at the url file:///C:/oraclewebservice/account.wsdl was not recognized as a known document type." i have stored the wsdl file in c drive with .wsdl extension. How can i incorporate wsdl file into my VS development environment.
Please help me to start webservices using visual studio. I am new in webservices so please explain in detail. I would be very thankful for any sugession.

I just had the same issue. I'm new to Visual Studio C# and CRM OnDemand development, so I wasted a bit of time on this. In my case I downloaded the WSDL file with Internet Explorer, Firefox didn't work so great. I then went back to Visual Studio, clicked Add Web Reference and pasted the file location (I.e. file:///D:/Microsoft/Visual%20Studio%202008/Projects/LoginHistory/Web%20References/Loginhistory/Loginhistory.wsdl ). Worked like a charm.

As a workaround, you can try to remove the Policy definition and reference from the copy you will import in OSB.
I would recommend to add OWSM to your domain. It's a straight forward process.

I am getting this coming up in the error log when I attempt to import an unmanaged solution.
After searching on google Type 29 refers to a workflow.
I go into the source system and query the database by the GUID and discover that it is actually a Business Process Flow called 'Phone to Case Process'.
I do not have this process in my target system as I deleted it.
Looks like this is one of the out of the box ones. I don't think we we have changed this one much.
What does this mean and what should I be looking for??
Anyway how do I remove this offending process from the unmanaged solution xml file and attempt to re-import it?
It doesn't look like I can generate the solution again without the offending workflow/process..

Just modify both solution and customizations xml by searching for the guid and removing the root component

Cannot add form fields in document

I have a document that I cannot add form fields to. When I try I get a message that says "You cannot edit the file as a form due to its security settings.
When I go to Advanced->Security->Show Security Properties. The security method is set to No Security and everything is "Allow" under the Document Restrictions Summary.
Where is there a security issue?

The fonts are not embedded and that may also be something to address. A lot of these issues may be related to the 3rd party product used to create the PDF.

Dynamically loading the url of a web reference object in C#

Hi,
We have a number of assemblies (C# - VS 2010) that access third party web services via SOAP. The url to access the site is part of the web reference object.
We have need to be able to change the url used to access the service at run runtime when conditions require.
What would the be the best practice of dynamically setting the url to be used at run time?

You could specify the URLs as keys in the application configuration file (App.config or web.config) of the main application:

You can then retrieve these values using the ConfigurationManager class in any assembly that is referenced from the main application like this (add a reference to System.Configuration.dll):

You can change the values of the keys in the application configuration file without having to recompile the application.
The other option is to specify the URLs in a database or some other persistent storage from which you read at runtime but configuration files are generally used to store these kind of variable application settings.
