Cannot connect to security server

Just installed 9.1standalone client. When I tried to launch JD Edwards 9.10 I got an error 'cannot connect to security server'. I have done all possible solutions as written on this site: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24902_01/doc.91/e22499/ch_startclient.htm#autoId2
but still it was not able to resolve my issue.
Anybody who can help me?

Hi Ryan,
Based on my research, the issue should occur due to a by design behavior in Threat Management Gateway (TMG). To work around this issue, you can use SSL between the TMG and the SharePoint Web Server.

    I have a sharepoint 2010 sp1 CU Dec 2011 server with a SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU4 reporting services instance.  I am able to open Power View and use it normally when bypassing the ISA Reverse Proxy server.  However when going thru ISA I receive the

    Power View  Cannot connect to the server due to a security issue.  The server may not have been able to match the host for Silverlight.  This error appears after I click yes on an Internet Explorer Display Mixed Mode prompt.

    Hi Ryan,
    Based on my research, the issue should occur due to a by design behavior in Threat Management Gateway (TMG). To work around this issue, you can use SSL between the TMG and the SharePoint Web Server.

  • Cannot connect to secure AFP server...

    I have enabled Secure connections for the AFP on 10.4.9 server. however i am unable to connect from my clients with a secure connection. This was working, until I actiated WEB. How do i make this work again?

    To be more specific secure AFP seemed to stop working after I started secure WEB. (https) I dont know why this is happening either. does AFP and secure WEB use the same ssl cert? could that be the problem? Just to note i have AFP, DNS, Firewall, Print, and WEB running on my server. I also have Remote Login (SSH) active in System Preferences. Every thing elese work great. I just cannot connect to secure AFP ( I can connect with clear text passwords via AFP). ssh via terminal works with all of the servers users. I am running Tiger Server 10.4.9. any clues? =)

  • Error message received submitting form via email - "Acrobat cannot connect to the server"

    Some of my users are unable to submit form data.  The forms are set up to be submitted via email and only a few of the users are effected.  They have installed the latest versions of both Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
    "Acrobat cannot connect to the server, but will automatically submit your form once the server is online.  You can check tracker for the status of this submission."
    "You have already submitted the data on this form and it is waiting to be sent.  Further changes are not allowed until the prior data is sent."
    I know that this question has been asked before, but there has not been a response.  This is very frustrating.

    I have this exact same error, but also have not yet found a workaround.
    Only sporatic users get the error, and I've been unable to duplicate it from my machine.  I am on Adobe Reader v 10.1.2.
    Actually I can get around the error if I were to downgrade to Adobe v9, but that is a bandaid fix - not really a secure answer.

    When I try test Report on Oracle Applaication

    then get error message
    REP-50200: Cannot connect to OID server.

    works fine.
    Connect with sqlplus portal/sys_new904 to Infrasructure is ok also.
    What a problem may be ?
    We can't run any reports on iAS :(

    Hi,
    let me start asking teh question if you need reports to conenct to OID. This is required when you want to authenticate users via SSO or when you use Reports access control security to protect Reports Servers and Reports definition files.
    If the answer two both are NO, try
    SINGLESIGNON=NO in rwservlet.properties located in ApplicationServerHome\reports\conf
    and remove the elements

    Restart the application server and you should be fine. I don't know why Reports Srever can't connect to OID, did you try and connect to DAS http://server:port/oiddas
    If this fails too, then possibly the problem occured when configuring the OID access during the midtier installation

    I get the following error when i try to connect to BPC Excel: The system cannot connect to the server. There might be network or security issue.
    This only happen on clients machines, I have installed the client tools on the server and tested, i can connect to Excel but not on the machine. My MS office version is the same as the one on the server. BPC is ver 5.04

    Let me summarize your issue to see if I may help.  If I cannot, then you will need to work with SAP Support on the connection problem.
    - You have a single or multi-server setup?
    - Installed using BPC 5.1 SP3, (or 5.0.502) correct?
    - You can enter the BPC on the server, both via BPC Excel and BPC Admin?
    - When you initiate BPC Admin on your client, so can connect to the Server and perform Admin operations?
    - When you initiate BPC for Excel, and walk through the connection wizard, you cannot connect to the server?
    - When you are in the Connection Wizard, are you using a path or a Server designation?
    - Is the system on a single domain?
    - When you added users to the Admin Security profile, they were selected from a DOMAIN?
    - You have processed security and assigned ALL TASKS currently and processed the MEMBER ACCESS profiles, yes?
    After all of this, have you uninstalled 1 BPC client, cleared the ProgramFiles/BPC folder, and deleted the local stored BPC information?  If you haven't, just for simplification, I would attempt this process.
    You also hae read all the SAP Support Notes regarding using Excel2007 with BPC and the issues you may experience?

    I have a problem with xserver. Everything seems to be working ok, however, one day system started to break down.
    I cannot connect to the server through *screen sharing* neither through internet, nor through local net. Even after restart login wont shows up.
    I cannot also connet to the *Server Preferences* (Unable to authenticate to the Open Directory master.)
    Sometimes I cannot also connect to the *Server Admin* (but after restart it works, however, Server Preferences are unavailable).
    SSH works ok.
    Nor repair permission, neither verify disk, or update for OS X server 10.6.4 worked.
    system log periodicaly enters this message:

  • Cannot connect to a server

    I have had this problem several time son different Macs running different versions of OS X. I have an eMac running 10.3.9 and the default user cannot connect to a server, a Windows 2003 server. The administrator user works fine, but not the default login user. In the past I would copy a home folder from a similar Mac and replace the home folder on the Mac that is gining me problems. I never have time to troubleshoot this down to the file that is preventing me from connecting. Has anyone else had this problem and found the folder or the file that is causing the problem?

    Launch Terminal.app on the Mac OS X Server box and issue the following command:
    +sudo changeip -checkhostname
    That command should report no changes are required and valid DNS, and will show you the DNS host name for your server. If that command reports DNS errors, you'll need to address those.
    Within the client, within Workgroup Manager, the host name you connect to the Mac OS X Server box using (either via the menus and the Connect... item, or via ⌘K) should be the DNS host name of the server box.
    If you're using a NAT gateway here and are depending on ISP DNS services, then you don't have local DNS services on your network, and you'll have problems with security and authentication. (And the checkhostname will toss an error indicating DNS problems.)

    I have been having some issues with various areas in a SharePoint 2013 farm.  While working my way through a bazillion errors in the event logs, I have found the following error.  It looks to be happening every hour; almost exactly 5 minutes after
    every hour.
    "Cannot connect to SQL Server. A_PROD_SP01 not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.
    Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."
    I also find, a health analyzer rule that is failing at the same time:
    Availability: One or more servers is not responding.
    However, there isn't any server listed in the Failing Servers section.
    Any thoughts?

    For your issue, it can be caused by that the SharePoint  database access account might not have the necessary permissions to communicate with the SQL Server. Please grant correct permissions to the database access account:
    You must be a member of the Farm Administrators group to perform this task.
    Assign the database access account:
    On the Central Administration home page, click Security and in the
    General Security section click Configure service accounts.
    On the Service Accounts page, in the Credential Management section, in the upper drop-down list click the correct Web application pool for your Web application.
    In the Select an account for this component drop-down list, click the domain account that you want to associate with this Web application pool, or click
    Register new managed account to associate a new domain account with this application pool.
    Click OK to save changes.

  • Networking - No Internet - Cannot Connect to the Server

    I have an old Intel Mac Mini running Leopard (10.5.8, I think) and connected to a wifi network created by a Time Capsule connected to a DSL router.  I use the Mini (connected to a widescreen TV) mostly as a media center for Hulu, Netflix, iTunes, and iPhoto.  The wifi network works fine for my laptop and iPhone, etc., but for some time now neither Safari nor Software Update has been able to access the internet from the Mac Mini.  Instead I get a message that 'Safari cannot connect to [the URL] because Safari cannot connect to the server', and a recommendation to check my internet connection and try again.  But I appear to be connected to my wifi network, Network Diagnostics says my internet connection appears to be working normally, and--most important--iTunes DOES connect to the internet to download podcasts etc. without any problems.  I went to Network Preferences > Security > Firewall and found that iTunes was set to allow connections while Safari was set to block them--but authorizing Safari to allow connections didn't fix the problem even after a restart.  (Also, because Software Update doesn't show up in Applications or Utilities, there doesn't seem to be any way to select Software Update under the firewall, which is understandable but also suggests that the problem is elsewhere.)   So I turned the firewall off entirely and restarted but that didn't help either.  Does anyone have any idea what to do?  Thanks.

    Thanks.  I see it but I don't know what it means:  The pane is set to configure proxies manually (the only other option is to configure using a PAD file).  There nothing checked under 'Select a protocol to configure' and nothing entered in the 'FTP Proxy Server' box.  In the 'Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts and Domains' box there are two entries (separated by commas) for '*.local' and 'nnn.nnn/nn' (with the n's representing numbers).  The 'Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)' checkbox is checked.  Does anything here sound problematic, or is there anything else I can check?  Also, FYI, iTunes stopped connecting too after I had started downloading small podcasts individually to check the connection after making various changes to the firewall (but restoring the firewall back where it was didn't get iTunes back).  Thanks very much.

  • IPhone update:  "Cannot connect to Apple Server"

    First time I got that message when I tried to update the iPhone software!   iTunes works fine, all downloads and updates.  Used the iTunes connectivity tests, all worked fine.  My security software and all setting haven't changed.  Nothing's changed.  Sync works fine.  When I plugged in my iPhone and started iTunes, it said an update is available, but then when I click update, it tries to connect to the server but then I get the message "cannot connect to apple server."  Help!  Thx

    Try adjusting the DNS servers on your PC to 8.8.8.8 and then trying it.

    Can you compare your macro setting (Security level )compare to the system in which BPC is working. Or try as follows:
    1. Unistall BPC
    2. Restart system
    3.Install BPC

  • ADE cannot connect to fullfillment server

    ADE worked well under Windows XP. After installing Windows 7 on my PC and installing ADE my PC kept authorized. Then I tried to lend a book from my library. A URL-link was downloaded. But ADE could not connect with the fullfillment server via that URL-link, though the PC was connected to the internet.

    in my case the firewall was the malefactor:
    The ADE program is to be allowed to communicate through the firewall:
    ->Start
    ->System Control
    ->Security Center
    -> Windows Firewall
    ->Allow Program to communicate through Firewall
    If “ADE” is not in the List of Programmes that are permitted,
    then add it to that List by using the button “Change settings”.
      May be the English names of buttons and menus are somewhat different- I
    tried to translate the german names.
    Don’t forget to re-start your computer.

  • Sharepoint list dataheet view error "Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available"

    I have a List which is having around 14000 items in it.while opening that list in datasheet view it is giving error .
    Below is a summary of the issue:
    After selecting datasheet view beow error occurs:
        "Cannot connect to the server at this time.  You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available."
        "Unable to retrieve all data."
        The item counts displays say 100 out of 14000 items.
    Exporting List to excel is giving only 2000 records out of 14000 records.
    Other Observations   -  
    This is happening to only one list on the site .There are other lists in the site whose no. of records is equal to 8000 to 9000.They are working absolutely fine without any error.
    Also, If I am saving this list as a template and creating another list with it ,then it is working absolutely fine with 14000 records,so the issue does not seem to be related with no. of records as the template list is working fine.
    I have checked the Alternate access mapping setting ,its fine.
    It should not be related to lookup,datefield or any other column as the list created from it template is working fine with all these columns.
    I checked below links also ,but doesn't seem to work in my case.

    I have spent two days to resolve this issue. Microsoft has released two KBs with reference to this issue...but are not appearing in search results at the top.
    I am sharing my finding.
    1. First install the
    KB2552989 (Hopefully you might have already installed it. The KB detetcts it and informs the user.)
    2. Then update registry by adding new key for data fetch timeout as mentioned inKB2553007
    These two steps resolved the issue in our environment. Hope it might help others as well.

  • Can't save BISM file pointing to excel sheet (data source). ErrMsg: "There were errors found while validating the page: Cannot connect to the server or database."

    Me and a collegue is administrering our new enterprise BI portal in SharePoint 2013 (On Premise) and have a problem with using a specific Excel file including general ledger data as data source through a BISM file.
    This particular BISM file can't be saved without getting the error message "There were errors found while validating the page: Cannot connect to the server or database."
    BISM files against other Excel sheets and sources (for example SSAS tabular databases) works well.
    Can anyone help us pinpointing whats wrong here, this is a really important stakeholder in our organization requesting this reporting?
