Cannot Create ActiveX Componet

Hi,
I have installed FDM and want to configure shared services i.e. in load balance manager,while entering user credentials I am getting the error as 'Cannot Create ActiveX Component'.
What could be the error,please advise.
Thanks.

It's very likely a permissions issue. Web applications run under least privilege accounts and as a result may not be configured for access to Microsoft Office apps.
The bigger problem is that server-side Office Automation is not supported by Microsoft because of threading limitations in the apps.

    Justice

    Look, I got dragged into a project that was late from the start, but is a big contract for the printing company that I work for that uses a lot of Adobe products internally for what they do.
    In good faith, I tried to purchase something that would work. I was in a rush and didn't read the entire EULA as I was installing it. Obviously, I wasn't trying to screw the system or I wouldn't have been here, posting about it. I also do not need an education about what is true or false on the internet. I need a solution now that is going to meet the customers needs based on what is provided here. Rather simple, and don't reallly have the time for an entire formalized consultation as to our "business needs", since this is really all we need it for and time is of the essence.
    If the best Adobe can do is publicly slap customers around on forums and throw vague answers out to follow up on, then I guess it's time to seek out other solutions for our business needs.

    Hi,
    This might be because of:
    1. Missing or disabled Osoft.Services.Platform.YukonAdmin.Olap9Manager component from the Component Services>OsoftSQL2005Admin.
    2. Installation pre-requisite for Application Server, SQLServer2005_ADOMD.msi  has not been correctly installed or corrupted.
    Would suggest you to implement the following:
    1. Install the newly installed BPC Application server
    2. Reboot Server
    3. Install SQLServer2005_ADOMD.msi from Microsoft
    4. Reinstall BPC Application Server
    5. Reinstall applicable patches
    Hope this helps in resolving your issue.

    Hi,
    I had the same problem with my BPC 7 installation yesterday and followed all the proposed solutions in this thread with no luck. When I checked,  the OSoftResSvrZFP_EN.dll was missing - you might be missing this too. Anyway, I solved it by running the BPC 7.0 server installation exe and then selected 'Repair'.

  • Acrobat - Cannot create ActiveX component

    I'm using Visual Studio 2005 (.Net 2.0) Console Application to interact with Acrobat 9.  I'm trying to open an existing PDF and Save as TIFF (using the JSObj = PDDoc.GetJSObject() and JSObj.SaveAs()).  On the development computer with Acrobat 9.1.3 installed it works fine.  If I move the executable to my colleague's development machine (Acrobat 9.2) the code throws error: Cannot create ActiveX component.  The Interop.Acrobat.dll resides in the same folder as the .Net exe.  Last month, this worked fine on my collleague's computer.  What has changed on his computer to prevent the ActiveX component from launching?  Below is the code snippet.  Other info: Acrobat 9.2 is the only Adobe app installed on the destination computer.
    Any ideas would be helpful.
    Dim PDFApp As Acrobat.AcroApp
    Dim PDDoc As Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc
    Dim AVDoc As Acrobat.CAcroAVDoc
    Dim JSObj As Object
    Try
      ' Create Acrobat Application object
      PDFApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
      ' Create Acrobat Document object
      PDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")

    Just realized I replied to my own message...
    The repair did not work.
    Notes:
    ===============================================================
    - When I open the Acrobat UI with a PDF and then Save as TIFF, it works great.
    - Event Viewer: System Error: The server {85DE1C45-2C66-101B-B02E-04021C009402} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.  I checked this ClsID in the Registry and it's the PDFShellInfo Class ("C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\AcrobatInfo.exe" /PDFShell).
    Should I uninstall Acrobat and re-install?  I'm at wits end...
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can not create ActiveX

    Hi,
      After launching BPC5.1, i tried to connect to BPC for Administration. I received a system error : " The system encountered an error and cannot proceed. Please select the Back button and try again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator. Job name : http://<ip address>/osoft/clientsupport.aspx, Detail: EvErr:UserService.GetParentList; Cannot create ActiveX component.
      Any idea, anybody?
      Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers

    what i failed to mention is that another basis person changed the administrator password, and according to the master and installation guide: if you change the password used to install bpc, you must reset the sql, application server and web server passwords as well. to do this, go to server manager on the application server and select server > reset logon credentials.
    problem solved.

    When unregister MSXML4.dll to remove the dependacy of it and use MSXML6.dll, My application getting error.
    VB6 outlook.Attachments getting ActiveX cannot create object error
    if i register msxml4.dll again, then the same is working fine.
    Pls suggest how to remove msxml4 dependancy without this error
    Regards,
    Sathiya

    Firstly, you shouldn't be messing with the system dlls.
    Secondly, do you create an instance of the outlook.Attachments object (using "new" etc.)? That object cannot be created, you can only retrieve if from an Outlook item (e.g. MailItem.Attachments property).
    Please show the relevant snippet of your code.

  • Cannot create registered control.

    I am trying to see how the activex bridge works. Anyway I have a simple (no gui) bean called PersonBean. I have jar'd it up and it works fine in beanbox. Then I packaged it up (calling it ActivePerson for the control name) and let it register the control. When I tried to use the control from VBA in Word like this...
    Set myPerson = CreateObject("JavaPerson.Bean")
    but this gives me a 'Run-time error '429' ActiveX Component cannot create object'
    So i decided to test with ActiveX Control Container a tool from MS and part of Visual C++ 6. When I tried to add the control it gives me an error saying "Failed to create control: unspecified error" (which is oh so helpful an error message...)
    So I am stuck. Could anyone point me in the direction of what might be wrong.
    In case it helps I am pasting below an extract from my registry of what was added for the control. The paths all seem ok to me.

  • Is LabVIEW able to create ActiveX Object for other sw to use?

    I would like to create some ActiveX object from LabVIEW that VB could use it. How do I do it? I only find info about labVIEW use ActiveX created by other SW. Please let me know if LabVIEW has such ability. Thanks.

    You cannot create a new kind of ActiveX object in LabVIEW, but you can use ActiveX to control LabVIEW (or a LabVIEW-built EXE) and run your VIs programmatically from other development environments.
    Below is a modified excerpt from an example provided by NI on running a LabVIEW VI from Visual Basic:
    Dim lvapp As Object
    Dim vi As Object
    Dim paramNames(4), paramVals(4)
    Set lvapp = CreateObject("LabVIEW.Application")
    viPath = lvapp.AppDir + "\examples\apps\freqresp.llb\Frequency Response.vi"
    Set vi = lvapp.GetVIReference(viPath)
    vi.FPWinOpen = True
    paramNames(0) = "Amplitude"
    paramNames(1) = "Number of Steps"
    paramNames(2) = "Low Frequency"
    paramNames(
    3) = "High Frequency"
    paramNames(4) = "Response Graph"
    paramVals(0) = cwnAmplitude
    paramVals(1) = cwnNumSteps
    paramVals(2) = cwnLowFreq
    paramVals(3) = cwnHighFreq
    ' paramVals(4) will contain the value of Response Graph after running the vi.
    Call vi.Call(paramNames, paramVals)

    1) Is my LabWindows/CVI 32bit or 64bit?
    2) How to create my Matlab ActiveX Control?
    Thank you.

    Hi JGS,
    It means that you cannot use 64 bit libraries in CVI ti create Activex controls since CVI is a 32 bit application. You can however create 64 bit dlls, executables and static libraries. Here is a link to some information:

  • Cannot create your bootable usb stick

    Hi all,
    I'm new to bootcamp and I have the following problem:
    When I'm creating a Windows 7 usb drive, it gives me an error "Cannot create your bootable usb stick there was a problem copying files".
    I've tried searching google for the problem, but the only possible solutions I've got was to unmount the iso image and try again, but when I do that I still get the same error and when I check the disk utility I find the iso image is mounted again.
    Does anyone haven an idea about what to do.
    Specs:
    OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
    MacBook Pro Retina 13-inch Mid 2014
    2,6Ghz Core i%
    8 GB 1600 MHz ddr3
    Thanks in advance!

  • Cannot create recovery disk after update to Win 8.1 on G580

    Friends
    I have a Lenovo G580 that came with Win 8.0 preinstalled. I upgraded it to Win 8.1 over the Internet.
    When I try to run the "Create recovery disk" I get the error that states that "We cannot create a recovery drive for this PC. Some required files are missing..."
    I found out that the winre.wim file that is supposed to be in the C:\Windows\System32\Recovery folder is not there. I cannot locate it anywhere on the C or D drives either. I believe there is a copy on one or more of the recovery partitions but I do not know how to get that file from those partitons.
    I am confused as to why there are seven partitions on that one drive:
    1 Recovery partition 1000 MB
    2 EFI system partition 260 MB
    3 OEM partition 1000 MB
    4. Recovery partition 350 MB
    5. Recovery partition 20 GB
    6. Lenovo D: 25 GB
    7. Windows 8 C: 250 GB
    Can someone help me and give me some instructions on how I can fix the system to find the winre.wim file?
    Thanks for any good input.
    Calle

    Hi Calle,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
    I’m sorry to hear that the error message is displayed in your G580 Laptop, as the OS (Operating System) installed is Windows 8.1 or Windows 8. Recovery discs cannot be created only a “Recovery Media” can be created using USB Flash drive, below is the link to create USB recovery drive.

  • Database Connection Error Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory

    Hello everyone,
    Background:
    I have a newly installed and configured Ubuntu server running Tomcat5.5 and Mysql 5.0. This server was created in an attempt to migrate from a Red Hat server in a similar configuration, running the exact same webapp. Most of the configuration/classpath differences between the two platforms have been ironed out.
    The Problem:
    When our webapp trys to connect to the database on localhost, an exception 'java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission localhost resolve)' is generated.
    The server.xml configuration is below:
    <Resource name="jdbc/EconDollarsDB"
    auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource"
    username="user"
    password="pass"
    driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
    url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/DBName?autoReconnect=true"
    maxActive="20" maxIdle="5"
    />I can connect to the database just fine using the command line client and the same username/password combo. This configuration has been working fine for at least a year on the older server. The only similar problems I have found on the net (meaning the same exception is generated) involve applets and attempts to connect to different hosts. This case involves a webapp, connecting to localhost, using a configuration that is known to work! I am simply baffled.
    The following stacktrace is generated:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Database Connection Error
    Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Server connection failure during transaction. Due to underlying exception: 'java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission localhost resolve)'.

    Hi,
    Its clearly saying the connect permission is missing with the current available policy.
    you add the following permisson entry to the <installed JRE>\lib\security\java.policy file.
    (e.g) C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08\lib\security\java.policy
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
    grant{
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
    If the application is running standalone then the code is allowed uncontrolled access but for webapplicatons running through browser, the security check is performed for the configured JRE.

    The short and direct answer to your question about catalogs on a network drive is that you can't do that. The catalog must reside on a local drive.
    Here is a link to a list of telephone numbers. Choose one that is appropriate:
