Cannot create CO of type Composite App Service in SP9

Hi All,
We have recently upgrade our system to SP9, from then I am not able to create CO of type Composite Application Service. Did anybody come acros this issue? It gives an error "an error "Invalid component: componentName=com.sap.caf.core.gp.ui.backgroundco.admin.COConfigAS dcName=sap.com/cafcoregpuibackgroundco~admin"."
Appreciate your time
Thanks
Som

Hi Som,
The sap.com/cafcoregpuibackgroundcoadmin.sda  development component is located in the <b>CAFKM09_0-10003478.SCA</b> (Software component archive).  You could try to unzip the SCA file and redeploy the sap.com/cafcoregpuibackgroundcoadmin.sda file.
If you don't see this sda file in your SDM client under SDM Repository->SapJ2EE Engine, then this probrably means that the CAFKM09_0-10003478.SCA component failed to deploy.  You might want to check if other sda's in this sca have been deployed.  You may have to redeploy the whole SCA.
Regards,
Austin.

  • Creating a Document type Asynchronous Web Services

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a Document typ Asynchronous webservice, following the request/reply pattern. Can anyone point me to some tutorial which explains this, or explain the way the service implementation has to be.
    I want to know how to do the call back or polling faclity in the service implementation.

    Hello,
    The OracleAS Core Web Service stack currently (10.1.3 and earlier) does not have any API/DevModel, to create an Asynch service.
    However you can still use JAX-RPC/SAAJ APIs to manipulate the WS-Addressing information to faciliate the call back. For the implementation itself you will have to choose what fits you the best, for example using JMS under the cover to process the event that will do the call back.
    It is also true that today, we have lot of customers that use Oracle BPEL to create asynchronous services since it is 100% declarative.

  • Cannot create additional user in Essbase Adminstration Services

    I have created the admin user in Admin Services but cannot create any additional users; the option to "create user" is grayed out. It doesn't allow me to use the wizard as well. Can anybody tell me what the problem is and how to resolve it.

    First if you have created the Admin user when you first installed Hyperion, you can't create another user Admin user on the same server. Second, if you created the Admin user without supervisor or create/delete users privileges you can't create other users if you logged in with this user. You mentioned the create/delete is grayed out that means you don't have privileges to create or delete a user if you logged in with that user.
    Also, you may have a problem with your EAS, so try using MaxL or ESSCMD to create users and assign them to groups, check the Tech reference for more details:

  • TS3991 Cannot create or save files in Apps that use file sync to iCloud

    Frustrating problem!!!
    Any Apps (third party AND Apple) that have the option to sync data and/or documents to iCloud will not function properly on OS X 10.8.3.
    Generally I am waiting for release of 10.8.4 to see whether this solves the problem, however...
    In the case that anyone else has suffered this problem and knows a solution???
    Some information...
    The issue is directly related to how each of these Apps manage new and existing files - to be clear - some of these Apps function, will allow the creation and saving of a new file - however this is dependant on when in their code they approach iCloud services for information on cloud based documents. As soon as the App approaches iCloud for information, the App hangs.
    If I switch off "Documents & Data" in iCloud System Preferences, and using Terminal rename (quarantine) the folder ~/Library/Mobile Documents, all Apps resume normal function, however obviously without the ability to sync to iCloud. (Note Terminal is required to perform this task as this folder "Mobile Documents" causes Finder to hang.)
    All my iOS devices operate normally with iCloud sync, and I continue to use the iOS versions of the Apps on my iOS devices.

    I tried the disk utility, repairs permissions, which didn't change anything.
    First aid for Bridge when something out of the blue changes is to restart Bridge holding down option key and choose reset preferences.
    If that does not help can you get back with exact version names of OSX and Bridge and also can you tell if something changed (install, update ) that could cause the other behavior for Bridge?

  • Cannot create ctxsys.context type index : ORA-29855 ORA-20000 DRG-11206 ...

    Hello everybody,
    I have from time to time to create Intermedia or Oracle text indexes in Oracle databes, most 10g ones.
    Today I did it in a Oracle 10g under Linux RHEL 5, with this few usual commands:
    1) connect SYS/**** as SYSDBA;
    2) CREATE TABLESPACE "DRSYS" LOGGING DATAFILE '/path_to_index_files/drsys.ora' SIZE 25M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 1280K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL AUTOALLOCATE SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;
    3) @$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/catctx.sql ctxsys DRSYS TEMP NOLOCK
    4) connect ctxsys/ctxsys;
    5) @$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/defaults/drdeff.sql;
    6) connect sa/*****;
    7) CREATE INDEX pj_index ON sa.tpiecejointe(pjcontenu) INDEXTYPE IS ctxsys.context parameters ('sync (every "SYSDATE+12/24")');
    My issue occured at the 7th step:
    CREATE INDEX pj_index ON sa.tpiecejointe(pjcontenu) INDEXTYPE IS ctxsys.context parameters ('sync (every "SYSDATE+12/24")')

    ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.TEXTINDEXMETHODS", line 364
    /dk2/app/oracle/ctx/bin/ctxhx is ok and may be executed by anyone.
    I found no reason for this problem on the Web.
    If somebody can help, thanks a lot...

    Hi,
    for using the sync parameter, the user needs to be granted to execute a job. Oracle makes a job to do the sync. So issue:
    GRANT CREATE JOB TO SMADMIN;
    from SYS/SYSTEM.

  • Create new Trans type like OTHR

    Dear Experts,
    we have required to create new Trans. Type for Supplementary invoice like OTHR.  it is possible? how?
    Regards
    BK GAIKWAD

    Hi
    As far as i know you cannot create a ETT types in system.
    As they are predefined by the system.
    What you can do is create a sub transaction type for OTHR and can be used for supplimentary invoices for J1IS transactions.

    The Fix with Sharing the Analitics_GUID Folder doesn't work, because it creates every Time a new one.
    I really appreciate if you could give me a help.
    Regards!
    Martin

    Hi all,
    Thank you very much for your Response.
    I have resolve this Issue yesterday, but didn't have time to answer.
    I have tried everything (Create over Powershell and GUI) and as I say the fix with Analitics_GUID dont work. I have give everyone Full Controll on the hole Office Folder and Sub-folders.
    I have look with the Reflector in the Code that causes the Exception and find that the SDDL string need some format in
    that has an Domain Account and not Local Account. I mean some SID Domain ids.
    So there is no way to create an "Complete" Installation ( not Standalone)  without having a Domain. It is possible but you cannot create Search Service App and some
    other Components didn't work as expected.
    My Software was:
    Windows Server 2012 Datacenter
    SQL Server 2012 Enterprise with SP1
    SharePoint 2013 Enterprise
    So I created a "local" domain an it works.
    Thank you very much
    Regards

    Hi, I have rechecked this issue. In the bug they say that Big Integer should be changed to Big Decimal to resolve the issue. I checked my application and saw that there is no Big Interger. Please can you guide me further.

  • Cannot create Proxy service with JCA transport

    Hello everyone.
    I have some issues while trying to create ftp service with jca transport. I follow the instruction in this tutorial:
    http://blogs.oracle.com/MarkSmith/entry/osb_and_ftp_adapter_in_11g
    I stuck in Step 4, cannot create proxy service to use JCA file that I created by JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.5). When I specify jca file for proxy service, a error message returned:
    <ALSB Console> <BEA-494002> <Internal error occured in OSBConsole : Transport exception occurred with the following message:
    Invalid JCA file for JCA proxy service. If you are creating a Proxy from a Business Service, please select a different transport type (for example, http). If not, JCA file must contain JCA activation spec properties.And these are my jca file content that created by JDeveloper:
    <adapter-config name="myJCA_FTP_service" adapter="FTP Adapter" wsdlLocation="myJCA_FTP_service.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
      <connection-factory location="eis/ftp/MyFtpAdapter"/>
      <endpoint-interaction portType="Put_ptt" operation="Put">
        <interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPInteractionSpec">
          <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="/home/FTP-shared/upload"/>
          <property name="FileType" value="ascii"/>
          <property name="Append" value="false"/>
          <property name="FileNamingConvention" value="osb_%SEQ%"/>
          <property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
        </interaction-spec>
      </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>Is there anyone who had tried to use JCA transport with Ftp adapter already? Please give me a suggestion.
    Any response is appreciated
    Regards, Cuong Pham

    To get to the basics.
    You use GET to read files from an FTP location - This can be done by an OSB proxy service only.
    You use PUT to write files to an FTP location - This can be done by an OSB business service only.
    So forget that you need a proxy service for PUT.

  • Best way to create a UI for a Composite app

    Hi all,
    What is the best way to create a UI for a Composite app that we are developing using CAF and GP.
    1) WebDynPro Callable Object that implements GP Interface.
    2) Consume the Application services(exposed as web services) in WebDynPro app
    3) Creating a WebDynPro Model for the CAF Services.
    4) Create a WebDynPro Application Callable Object (If yes how can we map the input and output params b/n WebDynPro app CO and CAF Application service).
    Plz do remember we are using GP here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi,
    You can use Web Dynpro or Visual Composer for designing UI for your CA.
    1) WebDynPro Callable Object that implements GP Interface.
    You can use Web Dynpro Component CO to use a single Web Dynpro component in your GP Activity.
    4) Create a WebDynPro Application Callable Object :This is for entire Web Dynpro Application(multiple components).
    2) Consume the Application services(exposed as web services) in WebDynPro app :
    3) Creating a WebDynPro Model for the CAF Services.
    For example, in updating operations first we have to get the existing data from Database.For getting this data you can use application services in your Web Dynpro component.Later expose this WD component as CO insert in a GP activity.
    For creating operations, you can use Web Service CO(Application Service)  directly in GP Activity.

  • Cannot view .jpgs created in QuickTime in other apps

    Used the Movie to Picture feature to create still shots from one of my movies. While I can view the files in QuickTime, I cannot see them in any other app that typically views .jpg files.
    Any ideas???

    Open the QT control panel and un-select what you don't want QT to handle. If that doesn't work. Open the Folder Options control panel in XP OS and go to the File Types tab and change what application you want the file type to be handled with

  • Error while creating new app service plan for a webapp

    Greetings !
    I have a new webapp created and I want to move it a separate web app service plan to apply custom domain (Not available on free tier). From the new Portal I try to create new Web App Service plan and get this error.
    "Failed to create App Service plan.
    Failed to create App Service plan <App Service Plan Name>. There was an error processing your request. Please try again in a few moments."
    Even while creation of the web app if I select create new App Service Plan it automatically goes into Free Plan.
    Please help.
    Thanks Paz

    Hello Parvez Alam,
    The issue of not being able to create a new App Service Plan is now fixed. I tried to reproduce this and was able to create the App Service Plan Successfully.
    You should now be able to create the App Service Plan from the New portal. Also, the App Service Plan concept is only availaible in the new portal and not the existing portal.
    You can refer to the link below for more information on this:
