Cannot do Certifying signature inside an AIC app displaying Acrobat

I have a Windows VB.Net application that displays a PDF file in an embedded Acrobat Control. The PDF has several signature fields with the top one set to do a Certifying signature. This configuration is done using JavaScript earlier in the workflow then the PDF is saved to a temporary file. If I copy the temporary file (the original gets deleted automatically) I can open it in freestanding Acrobat (9 Pro) and can sign the certifying signature with no problem. But within the application when i click on that field nothing happens.
I have just downloaded the SDK and run the AcrobatActiveXVB sample and when I load my saved file in there I see just the same problem - unable to do a certiying signature.
Can anyone help work out what is happening here?
Since it happens with the Acrobat 9 SDK sample, my specific versions and controls used are not so relevant (I am of course using Acrobat Pro 9). I can supply the PDF file if that would help.

The "embedded Acrobat control" does not support the operation of applying a certifying signature.

    To sign a certified document, you need to have at least one unused pre-authored signature field.

    Either use the Apple ID you used when you originally purchased the applications or you will have to purchase them using your Apple ID. If you did not have the other Apple ID, then you have the applications illegally or they were improperly included with a computer you purchased from someone else.

    I have the same problem on my iPhone4. It is obviously a bug in the software. Once it pops out I am locked out of my phone. I can't even begin to describe the frustration this causes. All that stuff about holding down the buttons is useless. the phone won't even shut off. I can take a screen shot like that or go to voice control. Even when I got to a wifi connection, I can't get on. This app blocks everything else. This is a serious bug and can have serious consequences. The only thing my phone would do is go to voice control and let me play iTunes or phone people. Some smart phone hey?
    I have finally got to a place with a wide enough wifi to connect my computer and restore the phone. This has lasted over a day!
    I don't even know why Find My Friends is on my phone. Is it part of the package and how do I turn it off?

    First:
     (Apple menu) > System Preferences > Users & Groups > select your account > Login Items.
    Determine if that program appears in that list. If it does, select it and then remove it from Login Items with the "–" (minus) button.
    Next:
    Select the entire line that follows (triple-click to select it), then control-click, and from the contextual menu that appears, select Services > Open:
    /Library/StartupItems/
    If the program or an alias to it appears in that folder, drag it to the Trash.
    Next:
    When you log out or shut down your Mac, de-select the checkbox that begins with the words "Reopen windows... "

    As stated above I cannot swipe through different pages in the app store. It shows the first 12 apps (out of 2000) their is no ability to swipe to see the other apps.
    I'm using an ipad 2 and I've tried resetting and completely erasing the ipad w/no luck

    Where on the screen are you swiping ? I can swipe on the screen where the apps are (either to the right or upwards depending upon the iOS version) and it then displays the next set of apps.

  • Cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store

    I cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store.

    I had a problem way back in the olden days, i.e., FCPX 10.0.2, and finally gave up and called the Apple Store using a land-line phone.
    Anyway, (this was a couple years ago), if I remember right, they passed me off to someone in the FCPX group and I got the App. However, this was not a really goo way to go because for many updates afterward, everytime I wanted to update I had to go thorugh the same ritual.
    Finally, probably around 10.0.8, things got "fixed" and since then I've been able to go direct and download it from the App Store without having to make a phone call.
    My suggestion would be to try calling the App Store. Maybe, if there is a "global problem" and they get a lot of calls, they will fix it.
    Heck, maybe write a Knowlede Base (KB) article about it.

    This might not have happened for Windows 8.
    Could you please try validating signatures in some different PDF and check.

  • VSCO cam unable to provide action extension right inside of photos app on my iPhone 4s

    Recently, I decided to check out VSCO cam on my iPhone 4s. The app worked fine on my device but I was little bit shocked when I was editing a photo and I noticed there was no extensions button at the top left corner of the screen.
    and I remember Apple's Craig Federighi demonstrated the waterlog action extensions (VSCO cam was also there) right inside of photos app at WWDC.
    So, I wanna know what kind of problem is this and is this happening with just my device?

    Unfortunatley 5 GB is not necessarily a lot of space.  What you should do is FIRST go into iCloud and choose what information you want turned on.
    Settings >iCloud
    Here you should see different Tabs that will let you select what you want to back up on your device.  You have the option to back up the following data on your phone:
    Mail
    Contacts
    Calendars
    Reminders
    Safari
    Notes
    Passbook
    Photo Stream
    Documents & Data
    Find My iPhone
    If you turn off some of these options you should free up some of your space. 
    Once you have backed up your device in iCloud, you can place your device in Recovery Mode in iTunes so it can be recognized. 
    To put phone in recovery mode:  Hold down home button and power button at top of phone at the same time.  Once you see the Apple on the device, CONTINUE to hold down the Home button.  Plug your phone into iTunes.  Do not let the Home button go until you see a message in iTunes stating that a device has been detected in recovery mode.

    You received a coupon you can use and redeem on the App Store to download Lion. There is no App Store in Leopard.

    Finish the download on your computer in iTunes and then sync the app to the iPad and then delete it. You will probably have to let it fully download before you can delete it.
    You can try restarting the iPad and see if the download will resume - Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Yoy can try  this as well and see if the download will resume. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Look in iTunes and see if there is a pending download in there that might be causing the delay. If there is a download there, try to finish that one first.

    No, it stays with the current OS (iOS5 in this case) - Apple doesn't allow downgrading iOS
    If you are syncing to a desktop, you shoudln't lose anything. If you aren't syncing, then that's the first thing you should do, to protect contacts etc.
    the other thing is, when the iPad is connected to iTunes, right-click its name in the Devices list and choose Back Up.
    That way, when yoiu do the restore, everything should come back as was.
