Cannot edit form in InfoPath when list was created in Visual Studio

I am using SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, InfoPath Designer 2013 and Visual Studio 2013.
When I create a list using the SharePoint UI, I can use the "Customize Form" button on the "Customize List" ribbon to customize the list form in InfoPath Designer and publishing the changes works just fine.
When I create the same list in Visual Studio and deploy it via a solution package, I can still use the "Customize Form" button to customize the list's form in InfoPath Designer, but publishing the changes won't work. The error message I receive
reads:
The publish operation could not be completed. It cannot be determined if the form template was successfully published. Try publishing the form template again, or change the list settings to
Catastrophic failure
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks in Advance!

Hi Eduardo, this sounds like a data connection or SOAP issue. Check out the following links for solutions similar to your problem:

  • A Separte contact lists was created on BB when I tried to synch with Outlook 2010

    Device: BB Style 9670
    Carrier: Sprint
    OS: 6.0 Bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706)
I am not using an enterprise server.  I had used an enterprise server over a year ago, but I removed the IT policy when I stopped using the enterprise server.
I have been synching my BB calender with MS Outlook 2010 for the last year, but I have not been synching my contacts.  I decided to synch the two, but when I did, instead of synching them, a new contact list was created on my BB with the Outlook contacts, and none of the BB contacts were moved into Outlook.  Both contact lists are titled "Desktop."
Is there a way to merge the contact lists, or change which list is merged with Outlook?

After posting, I found a post with a similar problem after I posted my message. I'll try the fix suggested in it ("Cleanly 'Starting Over' with the Desktop Software"). That solution does not really solve the problem:
I had used a fresh install of BB Desktop Software on a new computer.
The data on my BB is different from the data on my laptop, and I don't want to loose it (hence wanting to synch it)

  • Your Current color settings honor CMYK profiles in linked content but profiles were set to be ignored when document was created

"Your Current color settings honor CMYK profiles in linked content but profiles were set to be ignored when document was created"
I keep receiving this message on my illustrator files. They are linked to a file in Indesign that when saved as a PDF prints the wrong colors. I have been trying to fix this for two days. I have look online for answer in forums and articles and nothing works i am completely burn out, lost and angry Please help. This is a Picture book project that can not to sent to the author in this condition.

Your Illustrator files have images linked in them?
THis message tells you that color management had been set up differently when you created the document. In color management settings you have the choice if color profiles in linked images are ignored (and Illustrator uses just the CMYK numbers) or if those profiles are honored (and Illustrator converts the CMYK numbers according to the image profile and your settings into the Illustrator document's color profile).
What makes the whole thing even more complicated is that you placed the thing into InDesign.
So there might be 4 different color profiles interacting with each other:
    1. the linked image's profile
    2. the AI document's color profile
    3. the InDesign document's color profile
    4. The export profile in InDesign.
Is your color management set up and synchronized in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign?
Is it possible to place the images directly in InDesign? That is: create vector content in Illustrator and have photos separately? Then combine them in Illustrator?
How do you know they print the wrong colors? Just seeing them on your monitor won't tell you, unless your system is correctly color calibrated.

  • Problem with "View project-level information" permission when accessing build definition in Visual Studio Online

    Hi,
from some time all our team members are experiancing problems when acsessing list of builds on Visual Studio Online or when trying to edit build definition in Visual Studio. Error message suggests problem with missing View project-level information permission:
"TF50309: The following account does not have sufficient permissions to complete the operation: XXXXXXXX. The following permissions are needed to perform this operation: View project-level information."
I've checked permissions of my User account and Group. "View project-level information" is set to Allow on both levels. We didn't make any changes in security configuration recently. Does anyone faced similar problem?
Short term solution was to add all users, to Project Collection Administrators Group, but it is not what we would like to live with.

It seems that the problem was fixed and Project Collection Administrators permissions are no longer required. Great :-)

  • Error When Trying To Publish In Visual Studio 2013 C# Project

I have a C# Winforms app in Visual Studio that has a problem. when I click on Project->Properties->Publish and click on the Options button, I get a prompt saying "An error occurred trying to load the page. An item with the same key has already
    been added."
What causes this and how do I fix it?

    Carl,
Here's a screenshot of my project's Solution Explorer:
OK, so I have a file called "Resources.resx" and another folder down below called "Resources" which contains images. Which one should I rename and what do I do about possible errors that might pop up when I try to Build or Run the app?
    Hello,
I mean the .resx file, but based on your screenshot, the Resources.resx file was generated by Visual Studio and it was not added by yourself, right?
This issue has beend discussed in the following thread, you could compare it with yours to narrow down this issue, since the error message shows that the project added duplicate data.
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3003914/vs2010-an-item-with-the-same-key-has-already-been-added
You could follow that thread to check both the .resx file and the .csproj file to see whether there are duplicate data have been added.

    Carl

If someone can answer this for me,that will be a great help, and I'll be so appreciate if anyone get me out

    Sean

I'm a little unclear about your question. What is the exact error that you are receiving and at what point are you receiving it? Is the error occurring when calling the DLL in LabVIEW or is it occurring when building the DLL in Visual Studio? Further clarification about exactly what the problem is and where it is occurring would be a big help!

  • Cannot Edit Form

Purchased XI Pro with the single purpose of creating forms.  Once created in Forms Central and 'Save a PDF Form' I cannot edit in Adobe XI Pro,  When I select Forms/Edit I get the message to 'Save As Copy...' I do that then get a screen that says 'You cannot edit this as a form.'   I can't do any of the neat features those nice video in the Adobe site says you can do.  Appreciate any advise.

In this case if you download it from his account, you will need to deleted and download it again by your account
also delete your backup from iTunes after you delete all the apps/games that you download it from your friend account
so in the next time you try to restore your backup, you will not face the same problem

  • Issue with using a form saved in ES3 that was created in ES2

I have a base doc form that was created using ES2 designer.  This file is stitched together with several other documents to create a application pdf.  The file contains javascript, etc.  Everything works correctly when I run the process that stitches the documents together.  When I open the file in ES3 and save it and check it in, the process no longer works.  I get a unable to stich document error.  Any ideas?

not really, someone else mentioned that it could be done and they said they saw it before.  I've been beating myself up for a while trying to figure out how to get it to happen.   Is there an easy way to get the content of the pdf form into an email body with plain text when pressing a submit by email button?
    Such as...
    <label name>: <txtfield content>
    First name:  <txtfield content>
    ...etc..

  • When pdf was created the letters ci defaulted to ã

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
In an annual publication (which printed last year perfectly) two letters (ci) defaulted to ã when the pdf was created.
The document was created in CS3 Indesign. Saved as a pdf for print. Same font - last year perfect, this year major problem.
    Thank you for your help.

Sounds like you have two different versons of the font involved (OpenType vs TT or PS) or a problem with ligatures.

  • Error while saving the custom list created in visual studio 2010

    Dear all,
when I am saving the list; I am getting the following error. I do not know where this could be wrong.

To my sense - when I add the classes list - the error pops up.
the classid is tied to both these lists.

  • No images when deploying Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005

Developed a ASP.Net web site that uses Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005, everything works fine locally.
Following instructions from  http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/merge_modules.asp#07 a deployment package has been created using CrystalDecisionsRedist2005_x86 merge module and the website has been installed.
When it is deployed to a remote development server the report images are not displayed.  The report navigation works, it is the images that are not found when the report is displayed.
Should the vs2005 key be entered some where on the remote server?

Thnakyou very much for your quick reply.
The directory has not been created by the merge module,  which folder should it be created in and what contetants should it have?
    <-edit>
an example of an image it can not find is "/aspnet_client/System_Web/2_0_50727/CrystalReportWebFormViewer3/images/toolbar/upd.gif",  so does the folder '/aspnet_client/System_Web/2_0_50727/CrystalReportWebFormViewer3' need setting up?

  • How do you retrieve the list of intellisense completions created by Visual Studio

    Hello All,
I have a Visual Studio extension that provides statement completion (Intellisense). I build a series of Completions that are then provided to the customer. However, in my list of completions I would like to provide all variables of a certain type. In the
default (All) intellisense list provided by Visual Studio, a user has access to all the completions representing these variables that are available in the editor.
Is there any sort of interface or method to retrieve this information so I can provide a merged list of Completions in my StatementCompletion list? I would like to avoid needing to scrape the text of the file currently being edited as Visual Studio has already
done the work for me and has a better sense of what is available based on the language currently being edited.
Thank you for all your help.
    Sincerely,
    Dirk Dubois

    Hello shawnzkz,
Thank you for the response. Based on what I read in the StackOverflow posts, it looks like there is no formal interface to retrieve information about variables and other Completions built by Visual Studio. Is there a place I can log a feature request for
the Visual Studio SDK? I think this sort of interface would add a lot of value for customers attempting to append the existing intellisense features of Visual Studio.
    Thanks for all your help,
    Dirk
