Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" with bulk insert task

Hi, folks:
I created a simple SSIS package. On the Control Flow, I created a Bulk INsert Task with Destination connection to a the local SQL server, a csv file from a local folder, specify comma delimiter. Then I excute the task and I got this long error message.
[Bulk Insert Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)".The OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.The bulk load failed. The column is too long in the data file for row 1, column 1. Verify that the field terminator and row terminator are specified correctly.".

I got the same error with some additional error details (below). All I had to do to fix the problem was set the Timeout property for the SQL Server Destination = 0
I was using the following components:
SQL Server 2008
SQL Server Integration Services 10.0
Data Flow Task
OLE DB Source – connecting to Oracle 11i
SQL Server Destination – connecting to the local SQL Server 2008 instance
Full Error Message:
Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E14.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0" Hresult: 0x80040E14 Description: "Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)".".

* what provider are you using for the connection
* what do you connect to
for example, if someone try to connect to oracle using sql server provider then several simple queries are going to work probably OK, but once you are trying to use T-SQL or any complex SQL query then the errors are starting.
please post the connection string (without the password!) + the query that you are trying to use.

I have created a stored procedure in SQL Server for a report that uses parameters. In the report I am linking an Oracle table. I use a subquery like this to query the Oracle table: (select * from openquery(oracle_linked_server, 'select
partno, description from oracletable')). If I run the subquery it works fine every time. The linked server uses an oracle account which has access to the oracle table. When I first created the Stored Procedure it worked fine for me. When
I test the report, it worked fine. Then I asked another user to test it and it broke with the below error message.
OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "XXXX_ORACLE" returned message "ORA-01403: no data found".
Msg 7346, Level 16, State 2, Procedure usp_report_XXXXXX, Line 15
Cannot get the data of the row from the OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "XXXX_ORACLE".
Now when I try the report or the stored procedure, I get the same error. I tested the oracle subquery in the stored procedure and it still works. The report uses a service account to execute the stored procedure.
I am using SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition 64 bit (11.0.5058) Management Studio to develop the stored procedure. The SQL Server I am accessing and running the stored procedure is SQL Server 2008R2 Developer Edition 64bit (10.50.2550). The user
that tested the report for me has SQL Server 2008R2 but that shouldn't matter since he is running the report in Internet Explorer.
What is changing that it works for a while and then stops?

I found the answer. It was in the query. I put the TRIM statement on the part# field in the Oracle subquery and took the LTRIM function out of the ON clause that joined my SQL Server table with the Oracle linked server table. Now everything
works. The query looks like this:
SQL_Server_Table sst
LEFT OUTER JOIN
(SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(OracleLinkedServer, 'SELECT TRIM(partNo) AS partNo, partDesc FROM OracleTable')) ols
ON sst.partNo = ols.partNo

SQL Server 2005 64BIT Linked Server Cannot fetch a row using a bookmark

We get the following error SOMETIMES when trying to delete a row from an Oracle 10g database table via the SQL 2005 64BIT linked server.

[SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 7333). The step failed.
They keyword here is SOMETIMES. The job would fail 100% of the time before applying ODAC 10.2.0.3.0, after the ODAC install the job fails about 40% of the time. We have this setup in a test enviornment and yes there are rows of data in the table everytime the job runs.
As far as the OraOLEDB10.dll install we have a date of 2/20/07 but a version of 10.2.0.2. I am wondering if this shouldn't be a new version.

We are facing the below issue when performing a homogeneous system copy of NW 7.0 system using backup/restore method for DB6 system.
The Java load in database <SID>/<hostname> has not been configured yet. You cannot run an installation from the System Copy folder with this load.
We went through the SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2049842, and followed the same but no luck.
We updated the Kernel to the latest, but still no luck.
Request for your quick help as we have to complete it by EOD today.

How to fetch indivdual rows from a dynamic query.

Hi,
I wish to fetch the individual rows returned from a dynamic query.
if my dynamic query is:
dyn_stmt := select col1, col2, col3
from tab1;
The query returns multiple rows.
Then how to fetch individual rows of this query ?
Please explain.

Cannot commit delete row from VO

I have a VO that I have no problem create new row, update existing row and commit. But I can't commit deleted row to database. no exception or error message etc... and All other VOs are working fine,
anybody has any idea why? is that an option or something on VO? or is it an BC4J bug?

h) Show us any error messages you are getting, in full, and with information of the line numbers where the error is occurring
i) Wherever you provide data or code remember to use the tag before and after or the [code] tag before and the [/code] tag after, so that it keeps it's layout and is clear to read.
j) Perhaps one of the most important things of all... never suggest that you need a solution "urgently" or that your issue is "urgent". This implies that your issue is somehow more important than the issues posted by other people. Everybody would like an answer to their issue promptly, but it just depends when people are online who can answer the question and nobody is being paid to answer it, so it is arrogant and rude to demand urgent attention to your own. If something is that urgent then you should raise it through oracle metalink as a priority issue or pay for someone with the necessary skills to come and do the work for you.

I have implemented the logic in end routine and it still reads only the first row.
I am loading only PRODH1 and PROD2 but now I want to get all values of PRODH3 from the master data table.
The first 5 values are PRODH1 and first 10 values belongs to PRODH2.
Whenever PRODH2 = 1000011000 in source I should get the following values

In each row of your table, you need to construct a HREF that submits to a servlet (or JSP) with a GET parameter that references the primary key for that row, e.g.
<td><a href="delete.jsp?rowid=15">Delete</a></td>The delete.jsp can execute the delete and then forward to the display.jsp to redisplay the resultset after requerying the database.

Cannot get all rows from cfProcResult

We upgraded one of our servers (A) from CF 6 to 7.02. Another
server (B) has CF 7.01.
On server B (CF 7.01) the code works (below), all rows of
each dataset are returned.
Now on server A (CF 7.02) all of the resulting datasets have
only the first record in them. If I add maxrows="-1" to each of the
cfProcResult tags there is no change. If I change that to
maxrows="100" then I can get the rows up to 100.
Is this a bug or is there a different means to return all
rows?

It think its a bug. I got the same results under MX 7.0.2.
The topic of maxrows recently came up on another thread. I
did some searching and according to TechNote 18339 there was a
change with maxrow
"<cfquery maxrows=N> bug. ColdFusion MX (until ColdFusion
MX 7.0.1 CHF2) didn't pass maxrows to the underlying driver
(statement.setMaxRows())"
Given the results you're getting, it sounds like CF is
applying the maxrow to all of the resultsets, not just the one
where maxrows was declared. I suspect cfstoredproc's usage of
statement.setMaxRows() is incorrect. Thats just a guess though.
Bottom line, I think you'll need handle it manually.
Personally, I would recommend placing the row count logic in the
stored procedure (if possible). The overall results will be more
consistent and you won't have to worry about this kind of issue
again.

Tried opening a .csv and a .xls file, without success. File is located on the local server and not somewhere else.
I know, I know, the forums are full of this error message. But sometimes when you follow all of the rules, stuff still happens, or in this case Doesn't happen.
I installed the proper ACE drivers (64 bit) and reconfigured SQL Server to allow Ad Hoc Queries. Hell I even rebooted the server after the install.
I have successfully installed these drivers on several machines (work stations and servers), and all have worked just fine. So, I am at a loss as to why it won't work on this system. I might have forgotten some obscure setting, but I don't think so.

I want to get the records from the database using c#.
And then based on certain events on the page want to use linq over the same data without having to get the data from the data base again.

Now on page load I want product name in drop down.
Based on the productName selected i want to show Product Plan in another drop down and based on prduct plan want to show prduct type in drop down and then the annual and monthly in drop down.
I want to get all the records of prod A and then using linq to object load the drop downs instead of running query to database.
How can I keep the records available across the function calls.

This is my answer:
Session is not a suitable choice, since each user will have a duplicate of the data. Cache is a better option.
You can put something in Cache option and retrieve it from Cache similar to using Session. This is the manual method of caching and management of the cache content is on yourself.

Cannot drag/drop music from iTunes onto iPhone (synced with a different computer)

I have a library of music already on my iPhone that was synced with another computer. I am working on a different computer and bought some music that I thought I could just drag and drop into my iphone from iTunes. I have read that you need to check manually manage music but when I do that it says it will erase everything on my phone. I don't want to do that because I have music on my phone that isn't in the library I'm using. Is there anything else I can do?

you iphone does not work like a regular ipod, where you can drag and drop music, you must sync it with itunes. plug it into your computer, click on the icon that is labeled iphone. when you do this there is a section on the top that says music. click on that, then you can select playlists and artists, etc. then click apply. it should work then

HT1386 I cannot synced my iphone from my pc (window xp) with the latest version of itune. It shows " The iphone cannot be synced. The required file could not be found.

First make sue you are installing the 64 bit version of iTunes.
Second make sure it is iTunes 10.7 or later.
I would download a fresh copy of the 64 bit version of iTunes 11. After installation reboot your computer.
Before connecting your phone reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
