How i can get only required data from table by using CKM
Hi...
i have done one scenerio i.e get required data from one table into another table on basis of some condition by using CKM.
Now i want same,but this time my target is file ,not RDBMS.
so plz tell me procedure how i can get required data from source table into File on basis of some condition using CKM.
thanksCKM checks for Constraints and Not Null condition. You can use IKM SQL to File and being that there is no option in IKM for CKM .
The other method is you can declare those Not null and other condition as Filter in the Source Datastore, that should filter out records that you are not willing to move to files. -
Pls let me know how to fetch the data from tables bdcp or bdcps
Hi guru's!!!!
I want to post the changed master data to the legacy.
I am npt using IDOC. I want to go ahead by using the change doc. I want to know how we can filer the change doc. data for my equirement. & also how to send the data
transaction wise. I am using the FMs "change_pointers_read.
it is very urgent..
Thanks in advance!!!!!Hi,
1. You will have to activate the change pointers for the master data you are looking for.
2. You can do the configuration so that whenever master data is changed, a IDOC is triggered for that master data.
3. You can configure the IDOC's to be transmitted to your legacy system in the form of files or to your middleware system.
<b>You don't have to read the CHANGE POINTERS yourself.</b>

Ravi

Fetch data from table and generate attachment than mail it.
Hello Experts,
From couple of day I am searching on Google for a better database procedure that will help me to get data from tables and generate attachment and mail it but i fail.
My Scenario is:
I have a query that will fetch almost 5000 records from database tables. Each record has almost 75 characters
select a.location_code,
a.item_code,
b.description item_desc,
to_char(a.manufact_date,'ddMonyy')mfg,
to_char((a.manufact_date + nvl(b.expiry_period,0)),'ddMonyy')expr,
to_char((a.manufact_date + nvl(b.qurantine_period,0)),'ddMonyy')qrtn,
round(nvl (b.qurantine_period, 0) - (sysdate - a.manufact_date)) days_elapsed,
a.closing_balance_posted quantity
from wms_stock_current_balance_v a, wms_item_setup_mast b
where a.closing_balance > 0
and a.item_code = b.item_code
and a.loc_type in ('RACKING','PICKING','QUICKA','BUNDLED')
and nvl(b.qurantine_period,0) > 0
and round(nvl (b.qurantine_period, 0) - (sysdate - a.manufact_date)) <= 0
order by a.item_code, a.location_code;
Sample data of above query is
LOCATION_CODE
ITEM_CODE
ITEM_DESC
MFG
Expiry
Quarantine
Days Elapse
Quantity

Fetch the data from two tables
hell all
i want to fetch the data from two tables, one is from internal table and another one is data base table. what syntax i have to use either FOR ALL ENTRIES or INNER JOIN?hi
Use FOR ALL ENTRIES.
see the sample code
select * into table tvbrk from vbrk
where fkart in ('F2', 'F3', 'RE',
'ZVEC' , 'ZVEM' , 'ZVED',
'S1')
and erdat in so_erdat
and kunag in s_kunag.
erdat in so_erdat
and fkart in ('F2', 'F3', 'RE',
'ZVEC' , 'ZVEM').
if not tvbrk is initial.
select * into table t_zregion from zregion
for all entries in tvbrk
where country = tvbrk-land1
and region = s_regio.
endif.

I am already big fan of yours and using mail to many Addin from years from word 2007 to Word 2010 :) and still loving it and I use it for access re-authorization from Lines for application accesses . I tried and finally got understanding of the Extract to
mail Addin and after tweaking excel - Text To columns and other few things finally i was able to get the required data - from morning to now :) I am happy to see your provided guidance
Thanks alot - by the way why your Mail to many add-in is so slow now these days :) previous versions usually help me send 1000 emails in 10 minutes now it takes long time :) -
How to Fetch the Data from a Cube
Dear All,
We created a cube containing dimensions
Customer, Product, Branch, Activity, Time dimensions
using Oracle Analytical WorkSpace Manager.
Once Cube is created,
How can I see the Data existing in the Cube using normal SQL Queries ??? Through Analytical Workspace Manager Toll we r able to see the data. But our requirement is to see the data from the Cube using SQL Queries.
Regards,
S.Vamsi KrishnaHey I got the Solution. It follows in this way :
A Cube is nothing but a Data Storage. Based on the Mapping we given it considers the data.
To fetch the data from the Cube -> we have to write the SQl Query as below :
SELECT dealer_name,model_name,sales
FROM TABLE(OLAP_TABLE('MDB.FINAL_AW DURATION SESSION',
'DIMENSION dealer_name AS varchar2(30) FROM FINALDEAL
DIMENSION model_name AS varchar2(30) FROM FINALMODEL'));
We can create View for the above statement o
we can apply group by ,rollup, etc etc clauses
and even we can write where clauses for the above select statement.
But now my doubt is :
can we apply any calculations while mapping the Level to an Dimension.
Generally we will map Level toa dimension as DBUSER.TABLENAME.COLUMN NAME
can we apply any calculation like :
MIS.PROPKEY020MB.MATURITY_DATE+2
Please help for the above.
If any wrong is there please let me know
Regards,
S.Vamsi Krishna
can we apply -
Error in fetching the data from textfield and inserting to the database..
I'm using Java Swing as front end and MySQL as backend using the netbeans ide..I am trying to fetch the data from the textfiled in the form and insert to the database table.i've skipped the generated code..In the following code i get the erro cannot find symbol "stmt" in the actionPerformed method..
mport java.awt.event.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class BarcodeReader extends JFrame implements ActionListener {
public BarcodeReader() {
initComponents();
nb.addActionListener(this);
public void jdbcConnect(){
Connection con=null;
String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/";
String db = "mynewdatabase";
String driver = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
String user = "usrname";
String pass = "pwd";
try{
String s=newtxt.getText();
con=DriverManager.getConnection(url + db, user, pass);
Statement stmt=con.createStatement();
Class.forName(driver);
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e){
try{
jdbcConnect();
stmt.executeUpdate("INSERT into machine(mname) values '"+jTextField1.getText()+"'");
}}catch (Exception ex) {
System.out.println(ex);
public static void main(String args[]) {
java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
new BarcodeReader().setVisible(true);
}There are far too many errors to try and clear.
For one, the exception references the actionPerformed method (according to your text), so why is that not shown here?
For another you are performing, possible time-consuming, actions, and even worse IO actions, on the event thread, which is a huge no-no.
You are not closeing your resources properly, if at all, which is another huge no-no.
You are completely mixing your "view" (the gui), and your "model" (the data related classes), which is another huge no-no.
etc, etc, etc. -
Query OR Stored Proc to get data from Tables from All Schemas in the d/base
Hello Experts, (I appologize if i am not using the right way to ask questions)
I have a database, and it has around 400 schemas in it. I have designed a query which will fetch the data from three different table's from Schema1.
But it will be a tedious process of entering the 400 schemas names and pulling the information.
I would like to know as to what would be the best possible way to;
1) Look for all the schemas in the database
2) Look for those specific tables in the schema, which has the data in the tables.
3) If the tables are not present, than Ignore that schema and proceed further.
4) Load the data into a table
Any help, would appreciate it.
Thanks!
The query that i am using is as follows;
-- Query to select all the Schemas from the database
select username from all_users
order by username;
-- Sample Query to see if Tables exsist in the schema
SELECT DISTINCT OWNER, OBJECT_NAME
FROM ALL_OBJECTS
WHERE OBJECT_TYPE = 'TABLE'
AND OBJECT_NAME IN ('ENROLLMENT', 'PRDCT', 'L_P_L')
AND OWNER in ('Schema_1', 'Schema_2', Schema_3', Schema_4',Schema_5', Schema_6')
ORDER BY OWNER;
--Query to get the data from the tables in a Schema
select 'Schema_1@DATABASE_NAME' AS SCHEMA,
(SELECT MAX(LOAD_DT) FROM Schema_1.LOAD_STATUS) AS MAX_LOAD,
L_PROD_LINE.PROD_LINE,
COUNT(DISTINCT ENROLLMENT.MEM_NBR) AS MEMBERSHIP
FROM
Schema_1.ENROLLMENT,
Schema_1.PRDCT,
Schema_1.L_P_L
WHERE
ENROLLMENT.PRODUCT_ID = PRDCT.PRODUCT_ID AND
PRODUCT.PROD_LINE_ID = L_P_L.ID

ORDER BY OWNER; Do you want to give a list of possible schemas (like the 6 above), or do you want to consider all schemas, however many and whatever they are called?
You can get the right information for ALL_OBJECTS, but, since you known all the objects of interest are tables, ALL_TABLES will be faster and simpler.
--Query to get the data from the tables in a Schema
select 'Schema_1@DATABASE_NAME' AS SCHEMA,
(SELECT MAX(LOAD_DT) FROM Schema_1.LOAD_STATUS) AS MAX_LOAD,
L_PROD_LINE.PROD_LINE,
COUNT(DISTINCT ENROLLMENT.MEM_NBR) AS MEMBERSHIP

Schema_1.ENROLLMENT,
Schema_1.PRDCT,
Schema_1.L_P_L
WHERE
ENROLLMENT.PRODUCT_ID = PRDCT.PRODUCT_ID AND
PRODUCT.PROD_LINE_ID = L_P_L.ID
GROUP BY
L_P_L.PROD_LINE;I take it that the tables in question are ENROLLMENT, PRDCT and L_P_L; they won't have different names in different schemas.
You can start this way:
BEGIN
FOR c IN (
SELECT owner
FROM all_tables
WHERE table_name IN ( 'ENROLLMENT'
, 'PRDCT'
, 'L_P_L'
GROUP BY owner
HAVING COUNT (*) = 3
LOOP
... -- Now get the results for tables in the c.owner schema
END LOOP;
END;
/This will find the schemas that have all 3 of those tables.
Inside the loop, write another dynamic query. All that will change is the value of c.owner
Sorry, I'm running out of time now. I hope this helps. -
Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records
Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:
(3260008): BIND SELECT OUTPUT BUFFER (DataWindow):(DBI_SELBIND) (0.186 MS / 18978.709 MS)
(3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=0
(3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=1
(3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=0
(3260008): EXECUTE:(DBI_DW_EXECUTE) (192.982 MS / 19171.691 MS)
(3260008): FETCH NEXT:(DBI_FETCHNEXT)
and this is the last line,
while for retrievals that end, I have FETCH producing time, data in buffer and moving to the next Fetch until all data is retrieved
On the side note, I have no problems with retrieving data either by SQL Developer or DbVisualizer.
Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.
I will appreciate any comments/hints/help.
Thank you very much.pgoel wrote:

Everything was ok.Earlier (before installing new stuff) did you ever try retrieving data from big tables (like 240 and more records), if yes, was it working?Yes, with Oracle 10g client (before installing 11g) I was able to retrieve any data, either it was 10k+ records or 100 records. Installing 11g client changed something that even using old 10g client (which I still have installed) fails to work. The same problem occur no matter I'm using 10g or 11g client now. Powerbuilder hangs on retrieving tables with more than like 240 records.

Fetching order data from Live Cache
Hi
The requirement is to fetch order data from liveCache for a given product based on ATP category . (AY - dependent demands and AU - order reservations)
I want to get information about the dates and order quantity.
I have identified following two FM's.
/SAPAPO/OM_PEG_CAT_GET_ORDERS
/SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_GET_DATA
Which one of the two FM is more suitable specific to my requirement ? Also what are the important parameters to be passed in the applicable FM ?
I would also like to know the difference in these two FMs?
Thanks in advance,
YogeshHi,
I tried FM PAPO/OM_PEG_CAT_GET_ORDERS
I am giving the following inputs
1. PEGID which I am getting from /SAPAPO/DM_MATERIAL_GET_PEGID for a given product location.
2. ATP category in IT_CATEGORY = BM and CC
3. V_SIMSESSION = 000
4. IV_IONODE_PEG_SEL = 0
But I am getting LC_COM_ERROR
What parameters am I missing ?

Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" with bulk insert task
Hi, folks:
I created a simple SSIS package. On the Control Flow, I created a Bulk INsert Task with Destination connection to a the local SQL server, a csv file from a local folder, specify comma delimiter. Then I excute the task and I got this long error message.
[Bulk Insert Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)".The OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.The bulk load failed. The column is too long in the data file for row 1, column 1. Verify that the field terminator and row terminator are specified correctly.".I got the same error with some additional error details (below). All I had to do to fix the problem was set the Timeout property for the SQL Server Destination = 0
I was using the following components:
SQL Server 2008
SQL Server Integration Services 10.0
Data Flow Task
OLE DB Source – connecting to Oracle 11i
SQL Server Destination – connecting to the local SQL Server 2008 instance
