CanNOT get Remote application to work properly!!!

I give up! I have tried e/thing... turning off/ on router; turning off firewall, security software, have set in preferences to look for other remote, etc... nothing! Specifically, this is what happens: I download application and in itunes my phone is not recognized in the device list... so I can not enter the password/code. Another PC in my house running identical software as this PC has no problems at all using his application! Of course, both pcs are on the same network!
I am lost Any help? ThxS!!

Registry cleaners don't remove everything. Many files are in hidden folders within the user accounts on the operating systems. Have you tried the clean tool?

Also, something else to consider, try making another user account on the computer and see if that helps. I've seen user profiles on computers become corrupt and can cause this issue as well.

Cannot get OSX Server to work properly

I've followed various tutorials online in a bid to set up a home server.
I thought I'd got everything right until I tried to login to a 'new user account' via the 'other selection' on the login screen of my mac mini.
I don't know where I've gone wrong. Has anyone had this problem?

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do. Can you explain what Server services you're running and what you're trying to do with them?
For example, I could describe how to access FTP and Wiki services, but that wouldn't help if you aren't running those services.
I had to revise my initial Server install to properly configure my LAN. The best advice received was from MrHoffman, and that was to get DNS service properly configured on the LAN.
I had been pointing to DNS servers outside my LAN. The proper way was to first choose a subnet (MrHoffman advised against using the ubiquitous 192.168.x.x and use 172.16.xx or 10.x.x.x instead), then configure forward and reverse lookups manually. (I had to delete those initially configured by Server and reconfigure my own.)
This link should help: Hoffman Labs. The description for DNS configuration is for an earlier version of Server, but it works with Mountain Lion Server as well.
Essentially, each client should be configured to point to your Server's LAN IP for DNS service. The Server should be configured to point to itself for DNS service, specifically 127.0.0.1 instead of its LAN IP address. Make sure you run the tests to make sure DNS is configure and working properly.
If that doesn't help, you'll have to provide more detail on what it is you're trying to do.

Cannot get Dreamweaver CS5 To work properly

I have installed and uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5 several times, I have deleted the config file and still cannot get Dreamweaver to work properly. When I start dreamweaver CS5 the spash screen doesn't display properly, when the program opens up I am unable to manage sites all that is visible is the text box for site name and site address, nothing else is visible.
I have run a registry clean program to remove any traces of previous versions of dreamweaver to no avail. I do not receive any error messages at any point dreamweaver will just not work properly.

Cannot get Remote Desktop to work on Windows 7

Ok. I am having issues trying to connect remotely using RDP. From what I know, the network was pre-configured from another IT group and was able to get it up and running. My company was commissioned to migrate his old PC (WINXP) to Windows 7. I have gone
through the steps of allowing remote desktop and following instructions:
To configure remote access, follow these steps:
1. In Control Panel, click System And Security, and then click System.
2. On the System page, click Remote Settings in the left pane. This opens the System Properties dialog box to the Remote tab.
3. To disable Remote Desktop, select Don’t Allow Connections To This Com¬puter, and then click OK.Skip the remaining steps.
4. To enable Remote Desktop, you have two options. You can:
Select Allow Connections From Computers Running Any Version Of Remote Desktop to allow connections from any version of Windows.
Select Allow Connections Only From Computers Running Remote Desktop With Network Level Authentication to allow connections only from Windows 7 or later computers (and computers with secure network authentication).
5. Click Select Users. This displays the Remote Desktop Users dialog box.
6. To grant Remote Desktop access to a user, click Add. This opens the Select Users dialog box. In the Select Users dialog box, click Locations to select the computer or domain in which the users you want to work with are located. Type the

One thing that I found odd when he launched Remote Desktop from his home laptop is the IP entry:
Computer> [Public Router IP]:49250
Login> Domain\Admin
Password> *****
From the odd port number I would assume that was for port forwarding so I logged into his router and found exactly that. In port forwarding, he had the in/out as 49250 TCP to 192.168.30. I went into the firewall and enabled Remote Desktop in the inbound
rules.
As of right now, I can use Remote Desktop to remote into the server, and withing their server, I cam use Remote Desktop to remote into the workstation. I just can't remote into the workstation directly using the port 49250. Any suggestions on this, something

He has Norton Security installed on this computer and I tried adding Inbound/Outbound rules to its 'Smart Firewall' to allow remote desktop and the port.

When I use Remote Desktop and use the Public IP of the router without the port number (49250), I am able to get into the server. However, when I try to use RDP with the [Public IP]:49250, it will not connect to the 192.168.0.30 workstation.
Right now the router is program to forward port 49250 requests to the 0.30 workstation.
I am going to work on the Inbound/Outbound Firewall settings today and see if this will resolve the issue.

Cannot get remote app to work

Downloaded app and synced to phone. However no devices are listed in iTunes unless I physically connect the iPhone to the pc. I went into the advanced settings and verified that iTunes will look automatically for remote and speakers. Any suggestions on how to get iTunes to see my iPhone wirelessly? iPhone 3g 16gig.

Update again.... Aside from this I have been having some Airport Express issues. So the other day I take the Airport, Laptop and iPhone upstairs to where the Netgear router is. I plugged the laptop and airport express into the router and Voila... The remote app worked. I unplugged laptop and AE brought all back downstairs and it was working great... the remote app is great... For about an hour. Then all was dropped again.
I dialed in to my router, The router had all devices listed above as showing attached to it- plus my wifes iphone as well.
So... Remote only works for me for an hour at a time after I connect all to the router- then disconnect.
I turned off all firewalls (windows, McAfee, Netgear)
Assured that my router can have and allows mulitple MAC address. (it sees all fine)
Drivers are all current for windows (sp3)...

Motion 3.0.1 - cannot get point tracker to work properly with mask -Help

I can't get the behavior called point tracker under shapes category to properly work with a mask. Motion either quits unexpectedly with the message or goes into "not responding" mode.
Here are the steps: I set up the foreground and background shots in Final Cut Pro 6, then "sendto" motion (embeded checked).
In Motion I create a simple mask around the foreground object (talking head). With the playhead at the start of the clip, I go the behaviours - shapes - point tracker and apply to mask.
Next in Inspector I check tangents and then analyse. This can take a long time.. When it completes I save and go back to Final Cut. Final Cut then quits unexpectedly after about 10-15 minutes in beach ball mode. If I exit Motion and try to re-open the project, Motion also quits unexpectedly.
What is going wrong? Please help?

After MOBO exchange cannot get Satellite A200 to work properly

HI guys,
I have a Satellite A200 here, my friend took it to pc place and they told him it couldnt be fixed and needed a new mother board... well I managed to fix it and also connect it to the internet (Ive fixed a few PCs) anyway I did all the updates then it took forever to shut down.
Now it wont load it just says loading thats all. Or I get a black screen and now it doesnt want to load.. I cant get in to do a restore or do a hard drive test. Do u suggest anything?
I downloaded recovery disks the other night n they dont seem to want to work either. b4 I got it working I somehow got in and did a recovery or factory default software then it worked but I cant remember how I got I there lol.... any info will be helpful..and thank u in advance

As far as I know recovery disc cannot be downloaded so I dont understand what have you done exactly.
Anyway if the notebooks hardware is OK you can install OS using original recovery DVD disc or install OS using original Microsoft installation disc.
If you have this original recovery DVD (ask your friend if he/she has one) use it for OS installation.
If you use Microsoft disc all necessary drivers you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
If you have more concrete questions you are welcome.

Cannot get installed application to work

I have been fighting an issue for days now where my LabVIEW application will not work correctly when installed as an executable.
Everything works as expected as a labview project. I tried to build an executable and installed it on a seperate machine. That did not work.
I also tried installing the application on the same PC that I developed the software and it also does not work.
I have a program that runs external VI's. The top level VI begins by running an external VI in a seperate folder using the Open VI by Reference.
The Open VI by Reference fails in Image 1.
I am debugging the VI that is being called. If I comment out parts of it, the VI will successfully work. See the attached image of the sub VI that I have commented out.
The thing is the items I comment out seem relatively simple and doesn't make any sense.
Has anyone had similar installation issues? Is there any advice?

Yes, I broke the VI down to it's basic components. Those are pretty basic parts, not sub-vi's.
At the smalllest level of this particualr crash, I have some control inputs, some simple case statements, and some simple indicators. There are no sub-vi's in this function, only labview code. I would expect this sort of function to work correctly. Yet if this function is enabled, my VI fails to run. This is just one example, there are other parts of my code with similar issues I have disabled as well.
Yes, I CAN remove the VI from my code. BUT, this is but one VI in my project that is called. There are other VI's that I have to call and run that have yet to be executed.
I cannot remove every single subvi. I need to identify the cause so my entire project doesn't become a patchwork of disabled VI's.
AGAIN it works perfectly fine as an labview project. As an executable, on the SAME PC, the code does not execute.
I will work with tech support to resolve this. Maybe they will be less sarcastic.

I Cannot Get Flash Player to Work Properly

The Basics :
Im Running Windows XP Home Edition Service pack 3
I have IE7 (I had IE8 But was told that this was the problem so I went back to IE7)
Problem:
Everything worked fine until a couple days ago, then it told me to do a flash player update and that is where everything went to hell in a handbasket.
I can no longer access sites that require activex (IE: Farmville, Cafe World, and other apps on facebook). As I previously stated everything worked fine until I did the update. When I dl and install the Flash Player again I reboot and then go back to facebook and try to view the pages again but all i get is the message its not installed and at first I would just click the click here link and try to reinstall. Now I dont do anything but exit the page, uninstall and try again. I really don't know what else to do.
What I have Done:
I have uninstalled Flash Player, reinstalled it at least 10 times. I have tried the forced removal, as per many instructions here. I did NOT dl the Beta 10.1.
I have removed IE8 and reinstalled IE7.
Please can someone help me get out of this stupid loop. Im getting so frustrated.

Cannot get voice mail to work properly.

I have a Galaxy 5S, I have deleted all my voice mail messages but the screen still says there is one. When I push 7 it tells me there r none to delete. I have shut my phone down 3 times hopi g rebooting would help, but doesnt

Perhaps you can try to take out the sim card after powering down. Wait a min or 2 and reinsert SIM then power on. If that doesn't work, sounds like it is another of the widespread issues and bugs in 5.0, unless you haven't updated to 5.0 yet. On a related note, but different phone, I had a similar issue and called my VM and slowly went through option 7 to delete messages just to make sure. I also had to have a data connection, for some reason, for the icon to disappear.

Cannot get QT Pro to work properly

I am just getting a white screen on playback of hi-res QT movies. they play on other systems. I know there has been a lot discussed about this, but nothing I have tried has solved the problem so far. any advice?

White playback window means you're missing the required video codec.
Installing the missing codec would allow playback but some codecs can't be installed without also installing the software that uses them
FCP allows export using some high end editing codecs and those files could only be shared and viewed with Mac's that also have FCP.
Easier method is to export from FCP using the H.264 Video codec for HD files.

First of all you have to assign a static ip address on computer on which you have to host games, like
ip: 192.168.1.10
subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Default gateway:192.168.1.1
Then need to forward ports used by the mentioned games on your routers firewall, to this static ip address.
Ports used by Counter Strike:
1200 set as UDP.
27000 - 27015 set as UDP.
27020 - 27050 set as TCP.
Ports used by Garry's Mod:
27015 UDP
27015 TCP
27020 UDP

Cannot get screen sharing to work long distance...

I set up an AIM account for my mother-in-law so that I could remote screen-share her MacBook and help her with learning how to use it and trouble shoot it (it's a Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook hand-me-down from my wife).
I've set up the account, but cannot get remote screen sharing working. Screen sharing works fine over bonjour, but no go over the internet using AIM. I can control my wife's MBA from my iMac and vice-versa, but neither of us can control her MacBook. When we choose "Ask to share users screen...", we get the pop up window stating "Waiting for response from user", along with the spinning gear icon. If she chooses "Share my screen with...", the pop up window appears on our Macs and we're able to choose accept. But then the pop up window switches to "User would like you to share his or her screen" and just sits there. Nothing happens. On her screen, she gets the message "waiting for response from user" and nothing else happens.
After a long wait, my screen will say, "There was a communication error during your chat. Messages didn't receive a response from..." and gives me the option to report the details to Apple.
What am I doing wrong?
Her MacBook is running Mavericks, as are our machines.

@mac.com and @me.com ID works as AIM Screen Names (you add them like they are and existing name) but only if you are using Messages 7 or 8 plus later versions of iChat 6 in Lion.
You should be able to use the Apple Issued IDs in Mavericks.
If you using an AIM Registered name try using it without the @AIM.com or @AOL.com suffix (User Name only)
As AIM can "read" the Apple Database it will think the Apple IDs exist already but may not tell you that is the reason you can't re-register them.
Can you post the info being sent to Apple here ?
However stop the log after about 10 lines of the Binary Images (I will not need it all).

Cannot get iTunes DJ to work

No doubt it is something really obvious that I'm missing, but I cannot get iTunes Dj to work. If I click on iTunes DJ in the left column, right section of the window says "iTunes DJ" and explains that I can make a continuous mix, but there is no list of music. The play button is greyed out.
The help file says "To select a specific playlist (instead of your library) for the live mix, choose an option from the Source pop-up menu at the bottom of the iTunes window."
but there is no Source pop-up menu at the bottom of the iTunes window.
Any ideas?

Do you see the grey bar at the bottom of the screen when you select iTunes DJ, the one with the Settings and Refresh button, as seen in the picture on this web page? If not, then the bottom of the window may just be off the screen on your system so you don't see the Source selector. If that does seem to be the problem, try changing the resolution of your Mac's screen (Displays system preference) to the highest resolution. If it already is, try changing it to a lower resolution, then back. That may get the iTunes window to reappear..
If not, open the Script Editor application, paste in the following text (up to and including the line that says "end tell") and click the "Run" button:
