Cannot insert more than 1 WSUS update source with different unique ids

Hello LnG
I am aware that are a whole bunch of forum threads on this error however little bit of additional help would be of great help, as I have nearly tracked this 'pain' down.
Our environment: SCCM 2007 R3
1 Central
15 Primaries and a whole bunch of secondaries
Single WSUS server
OK, so we have just taken handover of this new account and still getting a hang of the creek and corners in the environment. We have about 1000 machines sitting in "Failed to download updates" state.  Error
= 0x80040694
WUAHandler.log:
Its a WSUS Update Source type ({A2762CA9-9739-4260-9C3A-DC4B36122E16}), adding it
Cannot insert more than 1 WSUS update source with different unique ids
Failed to Add Update Source for WUAgent of type (2) and id ({A2762CA9-9739-4260-9C3A-DC4B36122E16}). Error = 0x80040694.
Its a WSUS Update Source type ({BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53}), adding it
Existing WUA Managed server was already set (http://WSUSServername:8530), skipping Group Policy registration.

WUAHandler
Async searching of updates using WUAgent started.
Checked the
CI_UpdateSources table and found 2 Update sources  unique ids:
{BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53} Date Created 2011-01-11 03:47:52.000/Date Modified 2011-01-11 03:47:52.000
and
{A2762CA9-9739-4260-9C3A-DC4B36122E16} Date Created 2014-07-09 02:48:46.000 / Date Modified 2014-07-09 02:48:46.000
My questions:
Can I rely on the last modified/created date for inactive update source and delete it off the database? in this case can I delete {BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53}?
When i browsed to the registry location on the Central Server
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER i saw the update source as {BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53}.
Does it imply that a stale record?
Any help/guidance will be much appreciated :)

Well!! My wsyncmgr.log  says  this:
Set content version of update source {BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53} for site XX to 18
Set content version of update source {BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53} for site XX1 to 18

Set content version of update source {BCB9D60B-2668-459B-BFFD-6DDD11AADC53} for site XX6 to 18
So, this is an active update source! ?? I cannnot uninstall and reinstall SUP currently. Any thoughts?? Any ody?

  • Cannot insert more than 4000 characters using PL/SQL SP  to LONG columns

    I have created a stored procedure which will insert more than 4000 characters in a table having long column.
    The stored procedure body is as follows :
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE INSERTTOTEST(P_ZUNIQUEID IN  VARCHAR2,P_LONGVAL  IN LONG)
    AS
    BEGIN
    insert into CLOBVALUESHOW(zuniqueid, longval) VALUES (p_zuniqueid, p_longval) ;
    COMMIT;
    END INSERTTOTEST;
    When I use the RPAD function as below, it executes without any error :
    EXEC INSERTTOTEST('ABCD123',rpad('',32000,'*'))*
    But when I run with real-time values like the following string value :

    But then why will the problem happen with this long string ?
    >
    You don't have a 'long string'. You have a lot of single-quoted strings combined with some unquoted strings.
    There are embedded singel quotes in what you call 'this long string'.
    Try using a different string delimiter so that the quotes do not cause a problem.
    You can use an exclamation point ('!') since there is none in the text you provided.
    Here is an example of what will not work because there is one embedded single quote
    'name LIKE '%DBMS_%%'This is the same value using exclamation as the delimiter - this works because there is no exclamation in the string
    q'!name LIKE '%DBMS_%%'!'1. q must be the first character
    2. ' (single quote) must be the next character
    3. ! (or any delimiter you choose) is the next character
    4. abcdefg. . . -- this is your string that can include single quotes but not an exclamation point
    5. ! is the next to last character - must be the same delimiter used as the third character
    6. ' (single quote) is the last character
    See the 'Text Literals' section of the SQL Reference for more examples
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/sql_elements003.htm
    Note that this one will not work because the string includes the percent
    This is the same value using exclamation as the delimiter - this works because there is no exclamation in the string

    The insert statement is insert as select, and select is restricted by rownum. When rownum < 2 then it works (ie. only one row is inserted). When rownum < 3 and more it doesn't work (and without rownum condition there are over 200k rows, and it doesn't work either).
    Why could it be like that? The process is logged and it clearly shows for rownum < 2 that one row is inserted:

    Well I find that hard to believe.but this is what I can read from the log.. it ends after insert statement.
    When you run scripts from a command window and the script 'ends' you get returned to the command window and you will get whatever prompt has been configured. So there has to be 'something' - it it just ended it would be hung and you would have to use ctrl-c to get out.not exactly. I tried to run it from shell as typing sqlplus user/pass @/path/script.sql, and it worked. but after reading your answer I also ran it as executing original KSH script (which calls sql script inside), and it ran successfully too.
    But you say that this is the very last thing you see on the screen for the nonworking example. [..] So you now say 'thre is no more output than shown. it just ends after "insert ... where rownum < 3".yes, this is correct. the last line I see in log is just insert statement.
    So explain how it can 'just end' without your system being hung, without the script exiting, without the Oracle connection being disconnected and without the command window displaying some kind prompt (either SQL or OS). You also did not indicate whether you removed the WHENEVER SQLERROR line and you appear to be piping into a log file but haven't posted that either.OK, I overlooked this. here is the detailed situation. we have a propertiary scheduling tool. you just point a KSH file in this tool and it runs it at specified time. how it actually runs it I don't know, but I don't see command window, I just see logs. and when I look into the log it shows just insert statement as last line for rownum < 3. it shows other lines like elapsed, commited etc for rownum < 2. And yes, of course, I followed your suggestion and removed whenever line. what I was reffering earlier was after this removal: no change in log.
    let me summarize:
    1) sql runs in 3rd party sql tool
    2) sql runs from inside sqlplus
    3) runs when KSH is executed directly in shell manually
    4) runs from shell when sqlplus is called with user/pass and @/path/scriipt.sql
    5) doesn't run when executed with scheduling tool for rownum < 3, runs for rownum < 2
    You gave me quite a good hint about the cause. nothing comes to my mind except.. calling the support of this scheduling tool :)
    do you see other possibilities other that you mentioned? key violation is not causing it, I can load the whole table manually.
    thank you

  • After i downloaded Firefox 7, I cannot open more than one page at a time. I have done everything you suggested about ad-on, etc. Other people are having problems. Can I get reall help with this or should I just reload Firefox 4?

  • Create a logical column with more than one data source

    I'm having a problem to create a logical column with more than one data source in Siebel 7.8.
    What I want to do is the union of 2 physical tables in one logical table.
    For example, I have a "local_clients" table and a "abroad_clients" table. What I want is to have a logical table "clients" with the client data from the 2 tables.
    What I've tried is dragging the datasources I need onto the logical column.
    However this isn't working because it only retrieves the data from the first data source.

    Hi!
    I think it is not possible to do this just by dragging the columns to the logical table. A logical table can have more than one source, but I think each column must have just one direct source column.
    I'm not sure, but maybe you should do the UNION SQL to get the data of the two tables. In the physical layer, when you create a new physical table, it's possible to set the "table type" as a "SELECT". I didn't try that, but it seems that it's possible to have the union table in the physical layer.
    Bye.

    I cannot get more than 12 to 14 hours out of a full charge, and with a new battery.  The battery has been charged at least a dozen times, so I know it's at full charge.  Is the phone dying?

    Do a Li-ion battery rebuild. Do a full 6-8 hour charge with device in sleep mode, next run it down to about 45-50 % and then a 4-5 hour charge. After that use your phone and take it down to 30%. Another 6-8 hour charge and then down to no lower then 20-25% and one more full 8 hour charge. At that point your battery should be rebuilt back to a normal life cycle. This should eliminate your battery problem.

  • More than one updatable report on one page.

    I hope someone can help me with this.
    I've spend a long time looking for the best way to do this but keep running into APEX constraints.
    My problem is that I have two tables;
    1) an 'object' table with static attributes (that can change value but keep no history).
    2) an 'object attributes' table with attributes that can change over time (i.e. keep a history).
    Some of the attributes are optional and some mandatory irrespective of whether they are static or timestamped.
    I want to design a screen that shows both tables on one page - preferably both updatable on the same screen.
    Selecting/clicking a row in the top table (object) will select the appropriate object attribute rows in the table below (I've got that covered - no help needed there).
    If I create a new object record I also need to create an initial object attributes record.
    This first initial attributes record cannot be deleted while the object exists.
    The start date of the object itself and its first object attributes record should remain in sync.
    I cannot separate the object table and attributes tables on different pages as all static and timestamped attributes form one collection that needs to be visible and maintainable from one screen.
    The problem is APEX will not allow more than one updatable (or interactive) report on one page.
    I need a solution where both tables are maintained in a uniform way for the user.
    Not, for instance, one table an updatable report and the other a report with detail form.
    Anybody struggle with a similar problem and found a solution to this problem?
    Any pointers are most welcome.
    Ruud.
    PS. I have a joined view on both tables with an INSTEAD trigger that can process insert/update/delete's on the combined data however I would not like to use that if I can avoid it. It would mean a repetition of static attributes in the one updatable report.

    Andy,
    Apologies for the late reply - Forums have been out for a while :-(
    Thanks for the suggestion. I've had a look at Denes' example and
    at least now I know it is possible.
    I've asked for access to his workspace but have not been given that
    yet so can't look at the details yet but I can make some educated
    guesses as to how it was done.
    I will give it a try.
    I'm still not certain whether having 2 updatable tabular reports is the
    right way to go though....
    Currently I'm working on a page with 2 navigator reports - one for selecting
    the object and another to select the start date of the timestamped attributes.
    Next to that I have an updatable detail form that shows the selected object
    and attributes as one whole set using the joined view I mentioned earlier.
    Inserts, updates & deletes are then done in the form.
    Ruud.

  • ORA-24335 - cannot support more than 1000 columns - How to solve this?

    Hi,
    I got error message 'ORA-24335 - cannot support more than 1000 columns ' when i try to insert x no of rows for a table with following code:
    INSERT ALL
    INTO tableA Values ('A', 'B', 'C', 1, 2, 3)
    INTO tableA Values ('D', 'E', 'F', 4, 5, 6)
    INTO tableA Values ('G', 'H', 'I', 7, 8, 9)
    SELECT *
    FROM DUAL
    How to solve above?
    What does it really mean? It's not as easy as if my table has 10 columns than I can't insert more than 100 rows (1000 columns divided with 10 columns = maximun 100 rows to insert), or?
    Is there a better/more appropriate way to do insert many rows?
    Should I do my inserts with an OracleTransaction (My application is developed with C# and asp.net), as ~follows
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO tableA Values ('A', 'B', 'C', 1, 2, 3)
    INSERT INTO tableA Values ('D', 'E', 'F', 4, 5, 6)
    INSERT INTO tableA Values ('G', 'H', 'I', 7, 8, 9)
    COMMIT
    END
    Thx in advance!

    Hi,
    So how did you solve the problem? Can you please give an example?
    I have the same problem inserting over 1000 values into my Oracle DB. The table only has 51 columns but to speed up the insert command, I use bulk inserts via insert all command. I need to insert 100 rows at a time for a total of 5100 values.
    Example:
    SQLCmd = INSERT ALL INTO MYTABLE (VAL_ID,VAL_NAME,VAL_NUM,VAL_TIME,VAL_CMM,VAL_TIME1,VAL_TRIP,VAL_REMAINING,VAL_AGE,VAL_COUNT,VAL_RSTS,VAL_VOLT,VAL_RF,VAL_DC,VAL_HOPS,VAL_STATUS,VAL_ELAPSED,MODIFY_TIME) VALUES (?,?,?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,SYSTIMESTAMP)
    INTO MYTABLE (VAL_ID,VAL_NAME,VAL_NUM,VAL_TIME,VAL_CMM,VAL_TIME1,VAL_TRIP,VAL_REMAINING,VAL_AGE,VAL_COUNT,VAL_RSTS,VAL_VOLT,VAL_RF,VAL_DC,VAL_HOPS,VAL_STATUS,VAL_ELAPSED,MODIFY_TIME) VALUES (?,?,?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,SYSTIMESTAMP)
    INTO MYTABLE (VAL_ID,VAL_NAME,VAL_NUM,VAL_TIME,VAL_CMM,VAL_TIME1,VAL_TRIP,VAL_REMAINING,VAL_AGE,VAL_COUNT,VAL_RSTS,VAL_VOLT,VAL_RF,VAL_DC,VAL_HOPS,VAL_STATUS,VAL_ELAPSED,MODIFY_TIME) VALUES (?,?,?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,SYSTIMESTAMP)
    INTO MYTABLE (VAL_ID,VAL_NAME,VAL_NUM,VAL_TIME,VAL_CMM,VAL_TIME1,VAL_TRIP,VAL_REMAINING,VAL_AGE,VAL_COUNT,VAL_RSTS,VAL_VOLT,VAL_RF,VAL_DC,VAL_HOPS,VAL_STATUS,VAL_ELAPSED,MODIFY_TIME) VALUES (?,?,?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,TO_DATE(?,?),?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,SYSTIMESTAMP)
    SELECT 1 FROM DUAL

    Then I call: &DBInsert($sqlCmd, @sqlVals);
    This is the error I get: ORA-24335: cannot support more than 1000 columns.
    I need to insert about 879,500 rows (51 cols per row). The values I read from a text file in sets of about 48,000 and put them into a hash. I tried inserting one row at a time, but it takes too long, about 28 hrs! Then, I tried the bulk update with only 6 rows and the total time was about 25 minutes. Which is acceptable to us.
    Thanks!

    I have been trying to move mailboxes from ex2007 to ex2013with the new-migrationbatch and the new-moverequest command.
    I have a DAG-cluster with two servers with all roles.
    What happens is that I cannot get more than two concurrent mailbox moves.  If I restart the MRS-service nothing happens. I have changed the config-file for the mailbox replication service and currently have these settings:
    MaxMoveHistoryLength="5"
    MaxActiveMovesPerSourceMDB="20"
    MaxActiveMovesPerTargetMDB="20"
    MaxActiveMovesPerSourceServer="100"
    MaxActiveMovesPerTargetServer="100"
    MaxTotalRequestsPerMRS="100"
    What is funny is that when I start a new batch with autocomplete off, only two mailboxes goes to 95% and the rest of them is not even started.
    The command I use is  New-Migrationbatch -local -Name TestNew -csvdata ([System.IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("c:\temp\exchange\migration\testmigration.txt")) -targetdatabases mdb001,mdb002 -autostart
    Here is the output of Get-MigrationConfig | fl

    I have off course restarted both servers and services.

    Just out of curiosity, on which server you made these changes? Mailbox or CAS? And on Target or Source Server?

  • How to use left outer join on more than one table (source)

    Hi all,
    In our project we are converting the Unix shell & SQL scripts into OWB mappings. We are facing problem converting left outer join in OWB. here is one of the example. i have just pasted the FROM and where condition.
    FROM ym_scr t1, branch_finmonth t3
    LEFT OUTER JOIN item_image t2
    ON (t1.branch_no = t2.branch_no
    AND t1.item_no = t2.item_no
    AND t3.to_date between t2.tran_dt and t2.to_dt
    AND t2.to_dt >= '$start_images' ) <<<========= '$start_images' THIS COMES FROM THE UNIX VARAIBLE ,
    We converts the same when we are putting it in OWB join Operator
    INGRP1.branch_no = INGRP2.branch_no(+)
    AND INGRP1.item_no = INGRP2.item_no(+)
    AND INGRP3.to_date between t2.tran_dt and t2.to_dt
    AND INGRP2.to_dt >= INGRP2.start_images
    But as you see in the OWB opreator we can put left join with INGRP1 with INGRP2.
    We can not make same join with INGRP3 & INGRP4 , becoz it failed saying "you cannot left outer join on more than one table/source".
    so overall this OWB code makes incomplete left outer join as per the above ANSI SQL join in Oracle.
    Bcoz of the problem we are getting less number of rows...........
    SO please please help me on this
    Regards
    Ashok

    Hi.
    I know this topic is here for a while now, but I had the same problem today, searched for help and didn´t find anything.
    Later I figured out how to do this.
    You just have to put the (+) one time, and the OWB converts in an LEFT OUTER JOIN statement.
    For this case, all you have to do is:
    ( INGRP1.branch_no = INGRP2.branch_no(+) AND INGRP1.item_no = INGRP2.item_no AND INGRP2.to_dt >= INGRP2.start_images )

  • Cannot add more than one reminder, add new list, to reminder app in iOS 7.1, app crashes a lot

    Default iOS reminder app: Cannot add more than one reminder, cannot add new list, after updating to iOS 7.1. The app crashes frequently on editing or just by pressing return..

    Hello Kyem22,
    Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with the Reminders app quitting unexpectedly.
    The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching all the applications on your iPad:
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    You can find the full article here:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting all the apps, I recommend restarting your iPad and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    You can find the full article here:
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPad. The Reminders app is not something that can individually be reinstalled, but backing up your iPhone and restoring the iOS software will reinstall the application:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Hi Fran,
       I had red the documents .  But i have few doubts, could you please guide me
    To fix this issue:
    1- Apply Patch 8813366 located in:
    https://updates.oracle.com/download/8813366.html
    or
    2- Upgrade to 11.2.0.1 and apply 11.2.0.2 patchset which has the fix for bug 8813366.  ---     currently MY DB IN  11.2.0.3
    or
    3-WORKAROUND:
    Reduce the number of shared pool subpools by setting the init.ora parameter
    "_kghdsidx_count"=2
    or reduce granule size with init.ora parameter:
    "_ksmg_granule_size"=16777216
    NOTE: These require an outage of the database
    Is there any Permannet solution ?  Is this issue will effect the performance?
