Cannot invoke method "setMessageListener" within the J2EE container.

I use TopicSubscriber.setMessageListener method to convert messages to my own type, but oc4j jms throws following exception:
javax.jms.JMSException: TopicSubscriber[Oc4jJMS.Consumer.ypchang-cn.12da4a6:111d4f12137:-8000.94,Topic[CreatedSponsorTopic],null,null,false]: cannot invoke method "setMessageListener" within the J2EE container.

OC4J JMS doesn't support user defined MessageListener?????!!!!!!!!!!
Who can help me out?
Thanks!

Hi,
I am facing the same problem did you got any solution for it.
I am getting the following error message too:
Exception in Constructor
javax.jms.JMSException: QueueReceiver[Oc4jJMS.Consumer.ssipl-wrkst-139.-7dd2dd24:1122873d95f:-8000.269,Queue[360Transaction]]: cannot invoke method "setMessageListener" within the J2EE container.

    any help please ?

    Thanks Frank ,
    really i've already downloaded the ZIP of the final application , but the same error message ,
    when removing the Annual salary ( Which is a new Attribute ( not DB column) Salary * 12 ) every think is fine and no more error message ,there is no null salary all the employees have a salary , my JDeveloper Version is 11.1.2.1.0
    also , because of the EmpDetails is based on the query
    FROM EMPLOYEES Employees, DEPARTMENTS Departments
    WHERE Employees.DEPARTMENT_ID = Departments.DEPARTMENT_ID
    and the Department id is non editable value , that means even if you add a new user u cant never check this user in this interface , u can check this user only on DB (SQL) level .

    Hi,
    Try to perform a clean boot then install the CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.
    To perform a clean boot:
    Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
    Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
    Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Cannot edit text sufficiently within the Photo E-mail service (Elements 11)

    Greetings to all, a little help required please....
    Just purchased Elements 11 - excellent product at the price and am having a great deal of fun using it.
    One frustrating flaw within the Photo E-mail service....
    I've been using the Adobe e-mail service and it sends e-mail just fine having set up the account as required.
    Each new e-mail appears with the text "Here are the files I want to share with you."
    Now I'd like to replace that with some different text.  I can delete it and replace it on the first editing page, and it stays there after I click 'Next' to the following 'Customise Layout' section.
    Clicking on 'Next' after this page, we have the final e-mail page, and the text has reverted back to 'Here are the files I want to share with you' again......
    I can delete it again, but cannot type in any further text anywhere on that screen.
    Any help on this??
    Shame, because the programme generally is superb.  Have transformed a number of pics already, and it would be nice to use the e-mail prog that's built in as I'd like to use it, adding text as required.  Otherwise, why have all the font and layout choices available if not??

    I tried the same and its changing at my side.
    Try to reset you preferences :
    Open PSE just to the Welcome Screen and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Mac: Cmd + Opt + Shift) and keep pressing.
    Click on organizer from the Welcome Screen but keep pressing the keyboard keys - don't let up.
    You will get a little dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings file. Click "Yes."  You can let go of the keyboard keys now.
    This will rebuild the file for you and often solves the issue.
    Try to send the email again.
    Thanks

  • Making an RFC call from within the VM container

    Hi all,
    since a long time I am searching for information on how to implement an RFC call from within the VMC. The problem is that we have implemented several (p)functions in ABAP and we need to implement them in JAVA.
    Now I am searching for a way how to just call the already existing pfunctions???
    Is it possible to read CRM DB tables too?
    Thank you in advance
    Boris

    Hi Freeto,
    This may be due to the Network Failures.
    If you have triggered a job then because of the Network fluctuations the system may not respond properly and cannot execute the job.
    So, this is the cause for the failure.
    Hope you understood.
    With Regards,

  • No access to method from within the same class

    Hey there.
    First I have to excuse my English for I'm german and just learning...
    Ok, my problem is as follows. I have a class called JDBC_Wrapper it includes the method sendQuery(String query). When I call this method from within another class (where 'wrapper' is my instance of JDBC_Wrapper) it works fine. For example:
    wrapper.sendQuery("SELECT * FROM myDataBase");
    But then I have written a method called getNumRows() into my JDBC_Wrapper class.
    This method should send a query through sendQuery(Strin query) but when calling getNumRows() it says: "java.sql.SQLException: [FileMaker][ODBC FileMaker Pro driver][FileMaker Pro]Unbekannter Fehler." (Unbekannter Fehler -> Unknown Exception). What could that be?
    I'm using jdk2 sdk 1.4.2 with BlueJ. My database is Filemaker Pro 6. The ODBC/JDBC connector works fine.
    BerndZack

    This is within my JDBC_Wrapper class:
    public ResultSet sendQuery(String query)
            if(connected)
                try
                    Statement s = con.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);
                    ResultSet rs = s.executeQuery(query);
                    return rs;
                catch(Exception e)
                    System.out.println(e);
            else
                //System.out.println("There is no connection to the datasource!");
            return null;
    public int getNumRows()
            try
                ResultSet r;
                r = this.sendQuery("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM " + table_name); // At this line the error occurs
                r.next();
                return (int)r.getInt(1);
            catch(Exception e)
                System.out.println(e.getMessage());
                return -1;
    }When I call sendQuery() from within another class it works, but calling getNumRows()
    throws an exception.

  • Filenames within the Aperture container

    I have recently bought Aperture and, having transferred all my photographs into it (>200Gb), I am now trying to move the Aperture library to my file server where I have plenty of storage space. However, when I tried to copy the file to my server which is running RHEL4 I get the error message that the filename is either too long or contains illegal characters. I've lookind inside the Aperture container and have found folders with names like "2006-09-13 @ 07/27/44 pm -1importgroup" which is what is likely to be the problem. Can these filenames be changed or at least avoided in the future and if so how? The folders relate to imported folders of images from my archive drives.

    Though this is arguably a MacOS bug as it should replace the '/' character (valid in HFS+ but not in standard unix-a-like filesystems) with ':' when passing it out over the file sharing protocol in question (I'd guess the original poster is using SMB talking to Samba).

  • FireFox 3.6 and Adobe Reader X. Reader X PDFs opened within the browser contain links, which do not work. Anyone got clues on why the links fail and how to fix?

    When we rolled out ReaderX and AcrobatX we uncheck the Diaply PDF in Browser window. OK with IE, but ignored in FireFox (3.6.16). We can live with that except the PDFs have links to other URLs and clicking on them is ignored. Same PDF opened outside the browser the links work fine. FireFox with Reader 9.4.0 no problem. Reader X with IE no problem. I can fix the Display in Browser with a change to firefox.js, but have not figured out how to fix the links when the PDF is displayed within the browser.

    My replies are in Bold.
    Thank you for your response and message.
    1. Are you seeing this problem with all kinds of PDF's or some specific  kinds like secure PDF's (with doc open password or printing  restrcitions), reader extended PDF's or PDF forms.
    This problem is with all kind's of PDF's.
    2. Are you opening a locally saved PDF by doing a drag drop in the  browser or right click and open with IE/FF or directly opening a PDF  hosted on the internet?
    It doesn't matter. However I do it, I see this problem in Firefox, IE & Google Chrome.
    3.  Can you also check the version of the Reader X browser plugin? you  could find it at C:\Program Files\Common  Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll. Right click -> Properties  -> Details
    If version is 9.0.x then you could try a clean install of Reader X.
    I have checked it. It's the latest plug-in (though at the moment, I have gone back to Adobe Reader 9.4.1, as I've mentioned before, because I need the reader to be working fine for my work and daily life. I am just waiting for a fix before I try Adobe Reader X again.
    As I've mentioned before, I am seeing this issue ONLY on my Windows 7 Ultimate (Laptop). In the desktop's at work, with Windows XP / Vista, I don't see it. Adobe Reader is working fine, browser integration is fine, the floating tool bar works fine, the right click menu pop' up where the right click is done...I can also save PDF' from the main toolbar at the top and so on...
    I really have run out of ideas.... and I am very surprised that no expert support personnel (if at all there is one) have dropped by or said anything or mentioned anything about this.
    Anyway.... Cheers.

  • 10g Form - Can i invoke ms word within the from?

    Hi everybody, I would appreciate if someone out there can help me with it......
    On the form i have an ID Field.
    I have a master MS Word file on the network drive.
    Firstly
    I have a button on the form. When pressed it should be able to create a New Folder on the network drive with the name of the folder same as ID Field. At the sametime it should copy the Master MS Word file and put it in the newly created folder.
    Secondly
    I want to open this Ms word file in the newly created folder within the 10g form and not run outside the form.
    Kindly help........
    irfi

    Hi Francoise, Thank you for your reply.
    The MS Word file resides on a shared folder on the server and doesnt get stored in the database (Independent of the database).
    What i actually need is to be able to do 4 actions with a trigger on the button: meaning when the button is clicked it should:-
    1- Create a new folder on the server
    2- Copy the Original Master File to newly created folder.
    3- The name of the folder to be the same as the ID Filed which is binded to a table.
    4- To open the Ms Word file from the newly created folder within the oracle form and not like i have done in vb (Shell to open outside).
    I have done this similar project in vb6 (Kindly have a look)
    ServerFolderPath = "\\servername\foldername"
    Private Sub Cmdsave_Click()
    Dim Qry As String
    Dim Re As New Recordset
    Qry = "select * From IDRegistration where IDNo = '" & TxtIDNo.Text & "'" '(SQL Table)
    If EditID = False Then
    Re.Open Qry, DB, adOpenDynamic, adLockOptimistic
    If Re.RecordCount > 0 Then
    MsgBox "File with same ID Exists", vbInformation
    Else
    fso.CreateFolder ServerFolderPath & IDNo
    fso.CopyFile ServerFolderPath & "one.doc", ServerFolderPath & IDNo & "\" & IDNo & ".Doc" '(one.doc is the master file)
    Shell "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\winword.exe " & ServerFolderPath & IDNo & "\" & IDNo & ".doc", vbMaximizedFocus
    End If
    Please advice Thanks for your time!

  • Cannot update contacts from within the pc suite

    so, i've installed the latest version of pc suite but that didn't work, i've deleted it and run the pc suite cleaner, deleted the sms app from the phone and reinstalled everything. i can sync with outlook (set to sync in one way from phone to outlook) without a problem but i want to add extra info to the contacts in the phone. i have clicked on the contacts icon in the pc suite and all my (old)contacts are listed, when i click update, i get the update window appear with the blue and green dots but it just runs for ages before another window opens and says:Warnings
    The following warnings were produced during the synchronisation:

    I have no answer, just to say that I have had this problem for some time. I will dispose of my 9300 as soon as I have found a way out and go to a Msoft Mobile platform.
    Club Nokia deny that there is a problem with the Software and sy that I should return the 'phone. Of course my retailer does not provide an equivalent 'phone so that is no good (as I run my business from my 'phone).
    It may take a number of weeks (indeterminate) for Nokia to update the software on the phone. (Most Nokia service centres are unable to do this so by some wierd process I pack the phone and arrange at my expense to send it to their central service organisation. Whatever happend to the customer here?)
    It's clear from a trawl of the internet that this is a serious problem, as a long time Communicator user (since the first 9000) I am very disappointed with Nokia's lack of support on this problem and would suggest that you don't waste your time trying to solve it.

  • JMS setExceptionListener doesn't work in a j2ee container?

    I have just upgraded to Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.1.0 from Oracle BPEL 10.1.2.0.2
    I have redeployed a servlet which I had running on my previous oc4j server.
    However when my servlet now attempts to send a jms message to the server I get an exception raised:
    QueueConnection[Oc4jJMS.Connection.ghc-pc029.5a62f421:10f2ebe2218:-8000.333]: cannot invoke method "setExceptionListener" within the J2EE container.
    Please could you explain why the below method can not be invoked in a J2EE container.
    javax.jms.QueueConnection#setExceptionListener(ExceptionListener listener)
    (retrieved from com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory)
    Is this a defect? regression? or limitation?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Peter,
    Is this a defect? regression? or limitation?Creating exception listeners is explicitely prohibited by the J2EE 1.4 specs (see http://java.sun.com/j2ee/j2ee-1_4-fr-spec.pdf, section 6.6, page 103).
    We had to enforce this in 10.1.3.1 to be compliant and pass the Compatibility Test Suite (CTS). The idea is that all connection-related tasks are delegated to the container. WHile making things simpler, it also certainly removes some flexibility.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • How can i locate the properties files within a ejb container?

    when i develop servlet+javabean structure application,in order to imploement decoupling,i

    the code snippet is appreciated!

    In general, you should look at using environment entries (variables) in the
    deployment descriptors (both the war and EJB jar rather than properties
    files for configuring J2EE applications. The reasons for this are many:
    1. This is the official way to do it according to the spec. Properties
    files are the J2SE way of doing things
    2. As you note, that it's not obvious how you would (legally) read a
    properties file inside an EJB.
    3. It's consistent between the web and EJB part of your code
    4. the weblogic console and tools have good capabilities to edit these
    fields.

  • Method to get the file path that invoked a servlet

    i have a html file that invokes a servlet.Within the servlet i want a method that gives me the path of the html file.Is this possible without using cookies.or is there any method that serves my purpose?

    Hi,
    after reading the last posts I think you should try what KPSeal said (althought I haven't tried it) or use my last suggestion :
    on your HTML link (which will be handled by server) add an extra parameter (e.g. http://handle.xxx?page=mypage.HTML) and catch it inside the servlet code to know from what page it came.
    nevertheless, about the getRequestURL() (and getRequestURI()) it's a method from the interface HttpServletRequest, in the package javax.servlet.http that comes in the Servlet API. (you can find the servlet API at http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/download.html), but I believe if you have a servlet you already should have inside it the request object.
