Cannot load a library unit database_object ( referenced by package name )

Dear Friends,
I am using Plls in Reports 6i. In One of the Pll I am Using
Backend Table in package body. I have two 8i instances. when I
comiple and save and close this plls with one instance( say
instance "A" ), its fine. it is done sucessfully. Now i am
connecting to other instance ( say instance "B" ) and open that
same pll. it is showing compilation error "Cannot load a library
unit <my_table> ( referenced by <package name> )". Now I compile
and save and close with instance "B". it is done sucessfully.
Again I am connecting to Instance "A" and open that same PLL. It
is showing same Error "Cannot load a library unit <my_table> (
referenced by <package name> )"
Anybody can tell me , How to get rid of this Problem. I dont
know its a BUG or somthing else.
I am using Window2000 as OS.
Thanks
Ashish Parikh

If a Schema has some objects in it, then you cannot drop that Schema until you remove all the objects out of it. You can change the schema owner
to another database principal and drop the user like,
Alter Authorization ON Schema::username TO DBO; Drop User username;
other option would be
Transfer the username schema objects to a different schema and drop username schema and user like.
Alter Schema DBO Transfer Username.[OBEJECTNAME] ;
--need to repeat this until you transfer all objects under this schema
Drop Schema username;
Drop User username;

  • Error while creating database - Cannot load backend library 'oci.dll'

    Hi all,
    I am newbie to Timesten imdb (in memory database). I do not wish to use oracle rdbms.
    I have installed the Timesten IMDB on Win2003.
    E:\TimesTen\tt70_32\bin>ttVersion.exe
    TimesTen Release 7.0.5.0.0 (32 bit NT) (tt70_32:17000) 2008-04-05T00:54:16Z
    Instance admin: m4sadm
    Instance home directory: e:\TimesTen\tt70_32
    Daemon home directory: e:\TimesTen\tt70_32\srv\info
    While installing, I followed the viewlet at: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/timesten/viewlets/tt70_install_win_viewlet_swf.html]
    Now, I am planning to create a database, and so following the viewlet at: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/timesten/viewlets/tt70_create_db_win_cc_viewlet_swf.html]
    However, when I give the command (according to the viewlet), I get the following error:
    Command> select * from v$version;
    5102: Cannot load backend library 'oci.dll' for Cache Connect. OS error message '<empty>'.
    The command failed.
    Can anyone provide pointers to resolve this?

    I'm guessing you chose No to the install question about using Cache Connect to Oracle? This would cause certain libraries not to be installed at install time, specifically libraries that would enable you to use TimesTen Cache Connect to cache data from Oracle tables.
    The table "v$version" that you use in your select
    select * from v$version
    only exists on an Oracle RDBMS. It doesn't exist on TimesTen. Moreover the second viewlet you refer to is about using the TimesTen Cache Connect feature to cache tables from Oracle RDBMS. If you're not interested in using Oracle RDBMS, as you say, it would be my assumption that you're also not interested in using the TimesTen Cache Connect feature? So I'm a little confused here about your intentions. Are you interested in using TimesTen as a standalone datastore, or do you want to use it to cache data from tables located in an Oracle RDBMS?
    Thanks.

    Hello Ferhan,
    the output of the AboutBox is indicating that you are trying to run SAP GUI for Java on Solaris 10 with x86 CPU. Unfortunately, the library required to be loaded is complied for SPARC. Please have a look at the system requirements part of the manual coming with the installer of SAP GUI for Java or [note 959236|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236].

  • Verify installation of MS C Runtime Library - Cannot load JNI library

    Hello,
    I´am working on a MS XP frontend on customer side and have no admin rights, installed is  SAPGUI for Java 7.10rev4 with sun java version 1.5.0_11
    The admin from the customer told me that he had completly installed the MS C Runtime Library VS2005 SP1, file vcredist_x86.msi.
    However, if I try to use the JAVA Gui I found in the trace file the following error:

    In an old posted message I found the information that the reason should be that the MS C Runtime Library is not installed.
    - Is there a simple way to check if the vcredist_x86.msi is installed in a correct and completed way?
    - Any other ideas about the error "Cannot load JNI library" on a windows XP system?
    Thanks in advance,

    You can enable Photo Stream (in Settings > iCloud) but only for 30 days and only a max of 1000 photos.
    Then what does this mean? It was copied from the kb article that I posted above.
    Reducing the size of your Camera Roll backup
    If you take lots of photos and videos with your iOS device, you may notice your Camera Roll takes up most of your iCloud Storage backup. To check the size of the Camera Roll backup on your device:
    On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
    Tap iCloud.
    Tap Storage & Backup.
    Tap Manage Storage.
    In the Backups section, tap your device.
    In the Backup Options section, the backup size is displayed under Camera Roll.
    To reduce the size of your Camera Roll backup, save your photos and videos locally to your computer with iTunes, and then manually back up your iOS device. If you want to keep your photos and videos on your iOS device, you can turn off Camera Roll in Backup (see the "Deleting backups and turning off Backup for your Device" section above) orpurchase additional storage.

  • Class.forname - Unable to load class if two jars with same package name

    class.forname - Unable to load class if two jars contains same package name exists in classpath.
    JVM is stopping search for class one it finds the package name in the jar file that is ahead in classpath,
    JVM is not continuing search in the remaining jar files.
    For this , I put the jar file that contained class ahead of of ther jar file containing same package name, then it worked.
    Is this a JVM bug ? (JDK 1.5)

    I reported as bug to sun. I got auto email, looks they have not assigned any Bug ID so far.

  • Cannot load iPhoto Library nor download photos from camera

    Upon reading most of the forums I have come to the conclusion that I have screwed up iPhoto Library by moving and deleting photos. Now Iphoto, verson 2.0 will not load the library nor download photos from an attached camera. It just remains a blank slate. I just did a clean install of OS 10.3 and downloaded all upgrades. Everything works except iPhoto. Reason I did all the didling with the library was that I have 25 Gigs of photos and my hardrive was too full. I still have over 15 Gig of photos on the drive and cannot view them. Prior to the Clean install of OS 10.3 Iphoto worked fine. I have purchased an external hard drive and now think I must do the following:
    1. Format the new hard drive
    2. Move the present iphoto library to the external hard drive. I have to do this as I still have no room on my hard drive. Move the old library out of picture folder.
    3. Open Iphoto. Now it supposedly will ask me where the library is. I will show iPhoto where it is on external drive. Question, iPhoto does not recognize the library now so why should it when I show where it has been moved to?? Do I just move iPhoto library folder or the complete Picture folder?? Also when I hold down the shift and option keys while opening Iphoto to rebuild the library why should it as iphoto stil does not recognize its library??
    4. Somewhere on the discussions I read that I have to hold down option key to get a new iPhoto Library. Can I do this and after creating new library have Iphoto download all albums from old renamed iphoto library??
    Sorry for all the stupid questions. These photos are kids, grandkids and great grandkids, family pictures, etc. It would be devastating to me to loose these. Any help would be appreciated. Than ks

    theolddog:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You will not be able to resurrect your old library due to the renaming and moving of files within the iPhoto Library folder. You'll have to create a new library and import the full sized image files from the old library folder. Here's what you'll need to do:
    1 - open the old iPhoto library folder and type Command-F (find). Then set the following search criteria.
    a. Name contains ".jpg"
    b. Size is greater than 100 KB.
    2 - in the search window will be all of the thumbnail files that do don't want to import into the new library. So select them all and drag to the trash.
    3 - launch iPhoto with the option key depressed and create a new library.
    4 - use the File->Import menu option to select the old library folder and import all of the image files contained therein. You won't get any of the small thumbnail files since you removed them earlier.
    That should do it. You'll probably have more rolls then you had before so you'll have to consolidate photos into fewer rolls. In the future Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder. That's the cardinal sin of iPhoto.
    Do you Twango?

  • Cannot load shared library from Java on AIX

    I am working on a 64-bit AIX5.2 machine. I created a hello world program using JNI. When I run it, System.loadLibrary() does not find my shared library. After looking into it for several hours, I realized it might be something to do with my 32 bit mode build. The reason I am building as 32 bit is because I thought it would work on both 32 and 64 bit platforms.
    This is how I compile my C++ file and build the shared library:
    xlC_r -brtl -q32 -c -I"." -I"/usr/java5_64/include" -c NativeHello.cpp -o NativeHello.o
    xlC_r -brtl -G -q32 -o libNativeHello.so NativeHello.o
    When I run my HelloWorld java program, it gives this error:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: NativeHello (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
    However, when I change the build lines to use -q64 instead of -q32, my hello world program works just fine.
    So I am suspecting that Java is not expecting my shared library that was compiled as 32 bit.
    How can I correct this problem? Is there any flag that I might be missing? Or do I need to build separate libraries for 32 bit and 64 bit environment?
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    This is not a java problem.
    It is a VM problem.
    So for the VM (vendor and version) that you are using it requires certain things.
    It might be that the VM doesn't load 32 at all. Or that you have to do something different when you compile it.
    A forum that is specific to your VM might be more productive (this site tends to be strongly solaris/linux/windows.)

  • Unable to Load JdbcOdbc library -- Linux

    I know this question has been asked a lot, but I couldn't find a helpful answer in all my searches. I'm trying to use JdbcOdbc to connect to MySQL via ODBC on Linux. I have to use ODBC as part of an assignment, which is rather annoying, since the MySQL J/Connectivity JDBC driver works perfectly. But the assignment sort of assumes I'm on Windows and using MS Access, although I did have a choice to use MySQL.
    That's the background.
    This is the error I'm getting when trying to connect to ODBC. It's loading the driver all right (ie: no problems if I comment out the lines that tries to connect to the database).

    at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:171)
    at testData.main(testData.java:17)
    I've tried variations on the URL and the connect pattern, but it seems almost certain that it cannot load the library, and it's not the URL that's the problem yet.
    What I've done:
    I did a search on google and on this forum. I found that the directory containing libJdbcOdbc.so should be in /etc/ld.so.conf. I added it and I ran ldconfig -v; the library is listed in the output of that command, so I think it is loaded. I don't know how to check if a particular library is loaded?
    In this forum, I found that there might be a problem with the access permissions. I read that I should set the AllPermission policy to see if that's a problem, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Policytool is kind of cryptic, and on top of that, its GUI window is not displaying properly for me. If somebody could tell me the contents I should put in ~/.java.policy to enable all permissions, it might help.
    In addition, I've tried using the JDBCTest tool, and it also was unable to connect to ODBC. However, if I use the tool called DataManager that is a part of the ODBC implementation, it can connect to the database easily (which indicates that the database is properly set up via ODBCConfig, I think).
    My System:
    I'm running Debian Linux 3.0 (Woody) / unstable. I'm using the Blackdown version of Jdk1.4, which I retreived via apt-get. I'm not absolutely certain what I've got running ODBC; I also got it via apt-get. As mentioned, the tools odbcinst, ODBCConfig, and DataManager are all installed on my system.
    I'm really confused by this problem, since all the advice I've been able to find has helped other people, yet I'm still lost!
    Thanks,
    Dusty

    After running ldd on libJdbcOdbc.so, I realized I had to make a couple of symlinks from odbc.so.1 in /usr/lib to odbc.so.

    Hi,
    It seems to be a permission issue.
    Just check the permissions and grant 755 using chmod comand.

  • Cannot load library unit problem

    Dear All,
    I am using Oracle Report builder 6 and Oracle DB is 8i.
    OS is SUN Server.
    I have the following question:
    After I modify the function in the formula column, I try to compile it. Then I got the error like:
    Error 907 at line 0, column 0
    cannot load library unit <Scheme Name>.<Table Name> (referenced by
    CF_CAL_5FORMULA)
    How to solve it? Thanks......

    Hi,
    had the same problem. Flushing the shared helped.
    alter system flush shared_pool;

  • PLS-00907: cannot load library unit

    I have a problem with a stored procedure that runs via cron to insert records into a large partitioned table. This was running fine until a week back it stopped working.
    The error it mentioned during execution is
    PLS-00907: cannot load library unit
    MET.CLINICAL_DATA (referenced by MET.INSERT_CLINICAL_DATA)
    MET is the owner of the CLINICAL_DATA table and the INSERT_CLINICAL_DATA procedure. This procedure is run by a user called MET_USER who has an execute privilege on MET's INSERT_CLINICAL_DATA and its tables.
    So what might have caused this error. I did spend atleast 2 hours looking in the metalink and as those articles mentioned, I am neither using a database link here nor I am calling a remote procedure.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    355099,
    No, not to my knowledge. But I do have another stored procedure that also runs everyday that has got DDL statements on the CLINICAL_DATA table. Some of the DDLs in that are ----
    execute immediate 'alter table clinical_data drop partition part' || part_rec_l.id || ' update global indexes';
    execute immediate 'alter table clinical_data split partition ' || 'last_values at ( ''' || (temp_day_l * ms_per_day_l)|| ''') into (partition part' || new_id_l
    || ', partition last_values) update global indexes';
    execute immediate 'alter table clinical_data modify partition '|| 'part' || new_id_l || ' rebuild unusable local indexes';
    execute immediate 'alter table clinical_data modify partition ' || 'last_values rebuild unusable local indexes';
    Thank you

    Hi
    Without commenting on the specific HR packages, it sounds like you are causing invalidations when you recompile.
    The first thing to do is to try to minimize the scope of each recompilation. So if the body of a package A is invalid, don't recompile the specification (which will invalidate any other package B that references a function, procedure, type or package variable in A). Just recompile the body (which afaik NEVER invalidates anything else).
    alter package A compile body;If you have invalid package specs (which you do now) try to recompile them in dependency order. So if package (spec) A depends on (eg references a package (header) variable or type definition in) package B, then be dure to compile B before A.
    In general, you should recompile invalid specifications first, then invalid package bodies.
    The tricky objects are Views - a view can depend on a package spec (if the view SQL includes a reference to a package function) and a package spec or body can of course depend on a view. Good developers try to avoid circular dependencies! So our compilation order becomes:
    * Views (unless dependent on packages)
    * Package specs
    * Views that depend on packages
    * Package bodies
    (Stand-alone stored procedures and functions are a pain in the neck, as they can depend on each other and on views, packages etc).
    You can try using utlrp.sql (in rdvms/admin) which calls utl_recomp.recomp_parallel - but I don't know how good this is at sorting out dependencies.
    HTH

    Yes, some perople have seen this. Options:
    1. Try reinstall iPhoto. (see below)
    2. If you have access to another Mac with the same version of the OS, try and copy that framework over
    3. Reinstall the OS.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
