Cannot select fields for calculating other fields~

Help -- I am tryiing to get certain fiels in a form to calculate based on selection of other fields. The fields to be selected already have values in them. (The same format I have used for several years, just new set of forms)
I get through the point of setting up the field properties to calculate and I select Sum of... Then it simply will not let me select any fields to use for calculations -- unless I select all fields.
Please -- this is time sensitive and urgent any help responses needed and welcome!

Sounds like you are having issues with Acrobat and not FormsCentral. You would get a better help if you post your question on the Acrobat's forum

The requirement is : Suppose there is a input field PLANT.
If we give input for plant it gives related output.
Now if it is required to give 5 or 6 inputs..like plant1,plant2...plant6 and get the output related to all 6 inputs.
(Like we implement in ABAP)

Restrict Select-Options for Logical Database field

The way we restrict select options for custom defined select option fields on selection screen.. can we restrict select options for standard Logical Database fields?
i.e. report uses PNPCE logical database and has field called PERNR. I want to restrict select options for this PERNR field so that it has options for 'Select single values' only.

You can user AT SELECTION-SCREEN event, and check whether any record is having high value for PNPPERNR.

How to diable only one field enabled and other fields disabled for one user group?

Hi,
I have a form contains many fields. A group of users can add items using that form.
As per the user requirement I have created a filtered view and that filtered view can be seen by some other sharepoint user group but as per their further requirement the new sharepoint user group is only allowed to update Remarks field. All other fields
should be disabled for them.
In my idea, I have to create multiple forms and in one of it except Remarks field all should be disabled but I am unable to assign multiple forms to a single list.
Or how to make Remarks field enable to this user group and for other admin user group all fields could be enabled.
Hope I have expressed my question correctly.
Any solution would be appreciated.

PM Notification - Hide fields based on other field's value

Hello experts,
I am looking for an user exit which allows me to hide some fields based on other field's value.
For example, I have field 1 and field 2. When I open my notification, if the value of field 2 is 'aaa', field 1 has to be hidden.
There should be an user exit but I can't find it...

Part of the solution to the previous problem was to delete (really I moved it) the contents of the backup folder. Now I get this message "iTunes was unable to load data class infromation from Sync Services". I moved the folders and files back and it did not help.

You can use -
MOVE-CORRESPONDING <struct1> to <struc2>.
In this case it will move the contents of the components from struct1 to struct2 that has identical names.

With Snow Leopard, the Printing of PDFs has changed. Try using the highlighted option

It will only allow me to select all the fields or deselect all the fields. When I try to click on a specific field, it highlights the field in blue but will not checkmark it.

Solution Remove Adobe PDF from the Disabled Items list in the Microsoft Office application. To manage your Disabled Items list in a Microsoft Office application:
Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
Choose Help > About [the application name].
Click Disabled Items.
Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.

Choose Tools > Macro > Security.
In the Security dialog, click the Security tab.

How to Pick fields for calculations in forms?

I have all the fields in place, with all apparent formatting required for each. Using Properties > Calculate > Pick, Adobe will show me the list of all of my fields, but will not let me populate them in the Pick field individually. I can Select All and Deselect All, but choosing individual fields is totally hit or miss (~95% miss), with no apparent reason. I've been able to select fields that are not formulated as numbers, but cannot select those that are. I was able to select QtyRow9 and UnitPriceRow10 for TotalPriceRow1, but nothing else. I can even change the quantity and unit price in Preview and it calculates correctly. However, there are over 50 more calculations in this form.
My manager was able to open my file and Pick fields on the Calculate tab. After he saved the file and sent it back to me, I still cannot Pick as I would like to. I have Adobe 10.1.1 Standard, while he has Adobe 9.1.2 Standard (he was able to open my file with no problem). We both used Tools > Forms > Edit, although his buttons are located differently than mine. Any ideas what I might be missing?

Pravender --> Yes fields are available when testing datasource in RSA3, but replication does not bring anything new (no selection possible on those fields)
MD --> Ok for the fields not allowed, but here is the need on my side. Maybe somebody knows a workaround to get this selection available ? (or another way to perform it)
I can see in the 4th tab (name is "update") in infopackage screen (BW), a frame named "time-dependant data", and here i have a possibility to filter according dependance period, but only 3 possibility :
- fixed time interval
- routine time interval
- variable for interval
but none of the three allows me to do what I want ...

Can't pick fields for calculation

This is very frustrating.
I am editing the fields of an invoice form and want to use the last field of the line to create a total. I select the field and go into its properties. Under the "Calculate" tab, I select "Value is the 'product' of the following fields" and then click the "Pick" box to select which fields to calculate. I'm then provided with a list of all my fields and I tick my selections and click OK. But once I click OK, I am taken back to the Calculate tab with none of my selections in the fields box. Basically, it does not register my selections.
I have tried this every possible way I can imagine, restarted everything, etc. Still, no matter what I do I cannot get it to register the field selections I make for calculation. I managed to do this successfully for the first line in the form (seemingly at complete random) and haven't been able to reproduce any success for subsequent fields. I check the fields and once I hit OK it completely ignores them.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Consider using one of the other calculation options. For example, to use the simplified field notation option you'd enter something like this:
Text1 * Text2 * Text3 * Text4
This will work if your field names don't have any spaces or punctuation characters in them. It's possible to escape space and punctuation characters with the \ character, but it can get messy
The other option is JavaScript, which would look something like this:
// Set this field to the product of some fields
event.value = getField("Text 1").value * getField("Total1.1").value * getField("Another field name").value;
Note that you can include any field names you want inside the quote characters, so it's more flexible/cleaner than the previous option.

Dropdown's Selection to Affect/innactivate Other Fields in Adobe LiveCycle

Hi. I have a table where each line is an entry. The first field of the line is a dropdown selection. I would need this to work where if I select nothing, the rest of the fields on the line are innactive, or read only, or when I select some options from the dropdown some fields become active. Also there are more dropdown fields on the line. They should only allow to be selected certain options from the list depending on the selection of the 1st field.
There are also 2 numeric fields who do some calculations, both do the same thing, however, for example, selection A in the 1st field involves tracking total TimeTotal1 in NumericField1 and selection B in the 1st field involves tracking total NumericField2. In other words, when selecting A, the calculation will be dispayed in NumericField1 while NumericField2 is not displaying anything, and if selecting B, the calculation will be dispayed in NumericField2 while NumericField1 is not displaying anything.
Any help would be great. I am not good at all with any Javascript coding... Thank you!

Accessing the field values in different fields for calculation

I am creating a report in which I have used breaks for grouping the customers by their category. I have used summary on the amount field to calculate the sum in the individual category and also for total amount.
Now, I also want to add an column which could display the percentages of individual contributions.
So, its like I have to write a query accessing the total percentage, categorized percentage and individual amount.
My question: How can I access the various fields values in the query of some other field specifically sum and total sum( because it shows the sum([Amount]) for category sum and total sum both)

Ok, so let's go: you can access every "object" in the report simply by it's name. Every cell contains either a constant value (e.g. some text) or a formula, the simplest one can be just the value of an "object" from the query.
There is a formula bar on top which you can activate, where you can easily see the content of a specific cell and also copy/paste the formula from the cell, as well as access all the built-in functions.
WebI has a built-in calculator which works very similar to a "micro" olap engine, so you can access every sort of aggregate (of a measure) via a correspondig formula, irrelevant in which cell you are using it.
Nevertheless, there is a "computation context" which depends on the place where you put the formula, e.g. summary row, detail row, etc.

SELECT DISTINCT only on some fields but returning other fields.

As the thread says I need to select distinct rows with some fields but I need to show the associated data of other columns in the same table.
Simple Example
SUPPOSE THE TABLE INFO:
INFO(ID, NAME, TITLE, NUMBER, TELEPHONE, FAX, DESCRIPTION, TOPIC);
The table info could have null values in all the columns except for the ID. And there could be the same information for: Name, Title, Number, Telephone, Fax info in a lot of rows.
With the following statement I get distinct rows based on the name, title, number, telephone, fax and i get assured that the row with name in null is not returned.
SELECT DISTINCT P.NAME, P.TITLE,P.NUMBER,P.TELEPHONE,P.FAX FROM INFO P WHERE TRIM(P.NAME) IS NOT NULL;
returns 1400 rows;
The problem is that I need the DESCRIPTION and TOPIC columns of the 1400 distinct rows.
I have tried the following, but without sucess because the statement is returning 1350 rows, so there are 50 rows losted:
SELECT P.NAME, P.TITLE,P.NUMBER,P.TELEPHONE,P.FAX, P.DESCRIPTION,P.TOPIC
FROM INFO P , (SELECT DISTINCT P.NAME, P.TITLE,P.NUMBER,P.TELEPHONE,P.FAX FROM INFO P WHERE TRIM(P.NAME) IS NOT NULL) R

@PhoenixBai: You put me to think... jajaja i haven't think about it, actually there are more distinct values if I put the DESCRIPTION and TOPIC values in the query and yes I was hoping that the query choose for me... So I think that theres no way, the quality of the data is really bad and I have to deal with it. Thanks anyway!
By oher hand theres no way to do this thing in Oracle? the aproach of Raj makes sense but the ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression says that you must remove the other columns that are not in the group by function.

Actually My requirement is when we enter the exact date in the input field its giving the documents submitted on that date.But when i give date range its not displaying the any documents where the document submited in between those two dates.
Ex: I have submitted the document ( in CV01N ) for the approval on 10.05.2010(this is the same field in classification).
In the CV04N transaction ,classification tab if I enter date as 10.05.2010 its giving the document submitted on that date.but if I enter the two dates 01.05.2010 and 20.05.2010 where document is been created B/W the input dates.
Please suggest how to fulfill my business requirement ,I also request to check any configuration for the user defined fields can solve this problem instead of selecting single value when it can select the range of values.
