Cannot submit form to formscentral

I have a pdf form that I edited with Acrobat Professional 11 and uploaded to formscentral and added the submit button and created a file for distribution. The submit button only works on PC's and not the Samsung Galaxy tab 2 tablets that we need the forms to work on. I can fill out the form on the tablets but the submit button does nothing.
Any suggestions?

Did you say that your device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0?   What is the model number of your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0?
Go to Android's Settings.
Select About device.
Check the model number.
My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 has the model number: GT-P3113.  It is running Android version 4.2.2 (not 4.1.2).
It depends on a variation of the model and a phone carrier (if not a Wi-Fi tablet).  But it should be able to update to 4.2 because it does not appear to be hardware limitations for running Android 4.2.
Could you check if any updates are available?
Go to Android's Settings.
Select About device.
Tap Update.  (Please make sure that your tablet has active internet connection.)

  • Cannot submit form from workspace

    Good morning,
for a long time we experience an issue when completing  form in workspace. I can fill the form and click the Complete button. Nothing happens, form remains open and is unable to be submitted. If I click the button many times, sometimes it helps and forms is submitted after many clicks.
The issue doesn't occur regulary. Close and start browser sometimes helps, sometimes user have to logout and logon.
Forms architecture is simple: several text fields without scripts and AWS workflow fields collection.
I have upgraded LiveCycle ES server to the latest service pack 3.
    The reader is version 8.1.3.
    Please help.
    --- Jaroslav

    Nith,
I'm sorry, I don't thing so. Render function is called before the form is displayed on the screen and it's function is to preset workflow fields with actual process, task id, submit URL, server email and so. At the end it injects javascript called form bridge to the form. I checked forms that were submitted well, forms that cannot be submitted at all and forms that was submitted after some time of clicking the button. I have not found differences, all the forms where prefilled well.
The submit function is called after the form is submitted and data are passed to the workspace-server. That data are input parameters of the submit function and you can validate them, make computations and so on. Unfortunatelly in my case this sometime never happen. Form is unable to submit the data. And if data are not submitted, no submit function is called.
For that reasons I do think there is no problem in render / submit function.

  • Cannot submit form with Adobe Reader 7

I have created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and have enabled user user rights so that people using reader can save a copy of the PDF.
On the form itself, there is a button that is of type submit that specifies a valid URL and submits the data as XDP.
Whilst working in Lifecycle Designer or Adobe Professional, I am able to submit the form and its content. Once I open the PDF in Adobe Reader 7.0, when I try to submit the form I always get this error "cannot handle content type text/html; charset=utf-8".
I have no idea what is the error and I am hoping some one can provide some guidance.
    Thanks

It is certainly true that Adobe Reader can't handle text/html - it
isn't a web browser and doesn't have HTML function - so what other
content types have you tried? (I think some versions may give the
error and others may fail silently). I don't think Adobe are ignoring
the problem: the message is clear and Reader is working as designed. I
imagine to work you need to return a suitable PDF or XML response.
I agree it would be very helpful if Adobe provided accessible
information on what they do expect. This may be a reflection of their
wish to sell LiveCycle server products to handle your submission.
Anyone out there with a working solution?

  • Acrobat X v10.0 - cannot Submit Form in Outlook for Mac 2011

I created a form in Acrobat X v10.  When submitting the form in Windows, it opens the Select Email Client window, user can select Desktop Email Application, click OK and the completed form is sent via Outlook.  When I try to do the same on a Mac, it goes through the process, but doesn't send.  It looks like it will, but when I go to the Sent Items, it's not there and doesn't send.
I suspect it's something to do with Outlook for Mac 2011, but does anyone know of a workaround other than saving the file to the computer and sending the old fashioned way?  I really would prefer users not saving the file.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi oc_jane,
Is Outlook 2011 your default mail application?
What version of Mac OS are you running?
If you click the following email address, [email protected] does it launch a new blank email in Office 2011 w/ that email address in the 'To:' line?
    Thanks,
    David

  • Sharepoint 2010, InfoPath 2010 with Custom Workflow. Error Message: InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while form was submitted...

I have created an InfoPath form that submits to a Sharepoint library with custom workflow attached. The workflow is initiated when the user submits the form. An email is sent to the supervisor who clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and approved
the form via the emailed form. Then, based on certain criteria the form is either emailed to the VP or the workflow is complete. The VP is sent an email and clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and sumbits the form via the emailed form. This is
how I would like it to work. The reality is, the form submits and is emailed to the supervisor and the supervisor is able to approve but when the form is sumbitted I get an error. The error is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while
this form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location: <URL> The file <URL> is checked out for editing by <me> The operation completed successfully." The operation did not complete successfully and it
is not checked out. I have read in previous posts that the file is locked. Since I am in the testing faze of the project there is no one else using the form. I have waited 24 hours and the lock has not been released. Please help!!! My deadline is growing short.

I ran into your post while having a similar issue.  I don't have a 'full' fix for you, but I noticed at least in our case if you made sure you opened the Infopath form through the browser instead of the client Infopath program (use the drop-down menu
and open in browser) the error doesn't occur.  Hope that helps some....

    Hi AnnaLewis87 ,
Please go to the distribute section while the form is opened in design mode and you can download it as PDF from there.

  • Infopath cannot submit the form because it contains errors. Errors are marked with either a red asterik(required fields) or a red, dashed border (invalid values)

Infopath cannot submit the form because it contains errors. Errors are marked with either a red asterik(required fields) or a red, dashed border (invalid values).
Press Ctrl+Shift+O for next error or Press Ctrl+Shift+I for error details
Please help me, Thank in advance.
    Sravan.

Hi Sravan, this means that one or more of the fields are required to be filled in or have validation set up on them so that the information entered matches a certain criteria. Make sure what's entered matches what's required. If the form still can't be
submitted, check the rules set in InfoPath and the list/library to see what's causing the error(s).

  • Saving a distributed form from FormsCentral - cannot edit after saving

I created a form in FormsCentral and distributed it as a submitable pdf. I then opened it in Adobe Reader to test what end users would see, made some changes and went to File --> Save and then closed the pdf. When I reopened it I got the following error window and was no longer able to fill out the form. Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Cole

I think I figured out the error window. I have a drop down selection that includes an "Other" option, when the drop down field is completed it removes the text box that is on the PDF for the "Other" option causing the document to be changed. I redistributed the form without "other" being included as an option on the drop down and it now saves perfectly fine. Any idea if "other" should work or is this one of the features that does not translate over (I did not see it listed).

  • How to import a PDF form into FormsCentral

    Hi,
Please help me in How to  import a PDF form into FormsCentral.
    Thanks,
    Techvedic

    Hi Techvedic,
Import of form in Formscentral depends on how it was created. If you used LiveCycle designer to create the original form then it cannot be imported. However, if the form is created in Acrobat then you can import it by clicking on Import PDF form under Create New form heading.
Note: In the imported form you may edit the position of the submit button, but other design edits to the imported form will need to be made in the tool used to create that form.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other question.

  • Submit Form Button Acrobat X Pro Mac

I used Acrobat X Pro for the first time a couple of months ago. I created a form and when I was finished there was a Submit Form button in the purple field at the top of the document next to the Highlight Existing Fields button, and the text to the left of the buttons said "Please fill out the following form. When finished, click Submit Form to return the completed form. You can save data typed in this form.". I did not create any buttons on this form manually. I want to do this again for another form but I cannot figure out how I did it the first time. I have seen discussions on how to create a submit button, but I cannot get that to work either. Plus I think the Submit Form button looks nicer anyway. Please Help!!
    What I Need:
    - a pdf form with a submit button that will email me a copy of the completed form when pressed
    - the person filling out the form also needs to be able save a copy for themselves
    My System:
    Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.7
    Office 2011 for Mac 14.0
    Acrobat X for Mac 10.0.2

I just did what it sounds like you want to do using these instructions for Acrobat Pro 9. Here is the link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Standard/WS3593E0A4-C5E2-4cde-A09E-2A984346DDD2.w. html
To make it so your user can save a copy go to the Advanced Tab and click on Extend Features in Adobe Reader. That should do it. Good Luck.
    Best,
    Lisa

  • Reset Form button showing as Submit Form button?

    Hello....
I have run into an odd issue that I can not figure out.  For the past year, I have been creating and manually distributing various forms to our Sales Engineering group and outside partners.  These forms are all designed from a common template we developed that includes a standard “Reset Form” button.  Upon sending out a new form, I received an email with a screen shot that showed the Reset Form button as “Submit Form”.  The partner went on to say that they thought it was the same as another form they have from me, which also shows a Reset Button as “Submit Form”
The end user states they are using Adobe 8.1.4.  The forms were developed (9 Pro) LC Designer ES 8.2 and are set to be 8.0 or higher compatible.  This is the first time I have heard of this and cannot figure out the cause.  The label on the canned button itself is being changed from Reset to Submit.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what would cause this and how to correct?  I can not assume that this is the only time this has happened, but it is the first I am hearing of it.
Thank you and my apologies if this should have gone to another forum group

I have not heard of this before .....can you send the template to [email protected] so I can investigate? Please include a description of the issue in the email.
