Cannot use PURGE statement
Hello there.
I am new to 10g and I just discovered the BIN$ tables. Doing a little research, I found out about flashback.
Well, I tried to purge the recycle bin, and I get an error :
$ purge recyclebin;
SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "purge recy..." - rest of line ignored.
FYI :
$ select * from v$version;

CORE 10.1.0.3.0 Production

NLSRTL Version 10.1.0.3.0 - Production
Any help would be appreciated.
Time to download a new Oracle client.
In the meantime I'm guessing
exec execute immediate 'purge recyclebin'should work.

I cannot use my pogo account this is what it states, how do I fix this, it worked fine this morning and tonight it isn't working
It looks like you’ve the new version of Firefox. Unfortunately, there is currently a bug that is preventing players from playing Java games with version 3.6.14 of Firefox.See this: <br />

I have a US Mac living in the UK. I tried to download both the British and American version. Both state "You cannot use the application Firefox with this version of MAC OSX". Any suggestions how to proceed?
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 which works on OS X 10.4 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

How can I re-install Snow leopard having installed Lion? The disk supplied states that I cannot use the version of 'Install Mac OS X'...HELP!
None of the instructions usually given for downgrading seems to mention the fact that you will lose some data in built-in applications, including at least Mail. When you installed Lion, your Mail database was converted from the format used by Snow Leopard's Mail to that used by Lion's Mail. There is no way to reverse that conversion. Therefore, you will lose your entire Mail database. If your messages are all stored on a remote server, that may not be an insurmountable problem, but otherwise you'll have to restore from the last backup you made before the upgrade, and then you'll still lose all changes to the database made since that time.
Another fact not often mentioned is that downgrading is usually the worst possible solution to a problem with Lion. But that's the answer to a question you didn't ask. -
I attempted to update my iPhone 4 without realizing that I need to sync it with my laptop. My iPhone 4 is now stuck in the connect to iTunes mode and now I cannot use it. Is there a way to reverse this so I can use my phone because I do not have my computer with me?
Maybe it was hacked before and now through the update it's locked back to the original carrier.

Can we use return statement in procedure or we can use more than one return statement in procedure?

Hello,
I want to run delete query where table name should come from a variable .I have written the following procedure but its not working .Could you please help me

Thanks,

Cannot use Remote Desktop host on Windows 8.1 Pro, termsrv corrupted?
Hello,
Few days ago I upgraded my home desktop machine from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Professional so I can use the Remote Desktop feature.
I enabled everything needed, checked "Allow computers to connect to this computer" from the Remote Settings, forwarded the port 3389 in my rounter and allowed it in my firewall etc...
But I still can't connect to this computer from outside my home network or inside it. The error I get trying to connect is this:
(For some reason i still can't post images in this forum...) So I posted a link below to my original thread with the images
I'm trying to connect using a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.
After searching around I found out that the service responsible for the RDP is called "TermService", I found it on my services but was unable to start it:
(For some reason i still can't post images in this forum...) So I posted a link below to my original thread with the images
Also, notice the description of the service. So I tried to run a System File Checker on the service's DLL (sfc /scanfile=c:\windows\system32\termsrv.dll) and got this log:

Since it's the first time I use this tool I'm not familiar with this log file, but what I managed to figure out from it is that termsrv.dll is corrupted and windows cannot repair it for some reason.
My question is:
How can I repair this file? Is this even the problem preventing me from connecting to this computer via Remote Desktop?
Here's a link to my original question which contatining the images.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-system/cannot-use-remote-desktop-host-on-windows-81-pro/e4776239-4d9e-4934-ae2d-b87cc09f7ademanaged to figure out from it is that termsrv.dll is corrupted and windows cannot repair it for some reason.
So, the next step supposedly is
using DISM.
Coincidentally I reached that page last night from
this one, which I thought gave me a better awareness of how much manual repair might be possible. E.g. maybe the WinSxS isn't quite as fragile as we are being led to believe? (It's making me feel sort of like how I used to feel about the
registry when seeing all the caveats about using RegEdit before I got used to that tool.)
Advanced guidelines for diagnosing and fixing servicing corruption
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee619779(v=WS.10).aspx
Something else that I became aware of yesterday serendipitously is SxStrace.exe. I have never seen it used but it sounds useful. E.g. perhaps easier to interpret for supplemental clues than the ProcMon trace that I usually advocate.
Or perhaps use both and see in ProcMon when the SxStrace is writing. E.g. filter with Operation Is WriteFile.
However, what I would do first is find out what the state of your system is regarding that module. E.g. try this Powershell pipeline to list what you have.
PS C:\windows> dir -R -Fil "termsrv.dll" | sort-object FullName | ft Length, FullName -AutoSize
Note that I am giving you the whole command line, including prompt to show where the command should be started from.
C.f. another thread where doing the same diagnostic procedure seems to be finding more a problem with the Windows Update software than with the user's WinSxS cache.

Cannot use duplicate table name error in AMDP
Hi Experts,
I'm developing an application which has the following architecture
SAP UI5->Gateway->ABAP Managed DB procedures(AMDP)->HANA SP(Stored Procedure)
We are having a very peculiar problem where the gateway service works inconsistently for the same input data.
i.e If I execute the same service n number of times, I get the results successfully for say n-3 times but the other 3 times I get a "RFC Error :Error while executing Database procedure"
There is no change in the input data or DB table data during all the executions.
Running the stored procedure stand alone in HANA studio works all the time.
We tried executing the AMDP from SE24 and the same behavior occurred.
When trouble shooting we found that the exception occurs inside the AMDP when the call db procedure statement is executed.
Could you please advise what could be the possible reason for this any tuning parameter/unavailability of db connections?
Or could you please suggest some other troubleshooting mechanism by which we can zero in on the cause?
When I go in the debug mode I can see the exact error as
cannot use duplicate table name: [288] SAPXXX.ZCL_PLAN_MAINTENANCE=>GET_COMP_TYPE#stub#20140905055908: line 15 col 3 (at pos 492): cannot use duplicate table name exception:
where ZCL_PLAN_MAINTENANCE=>GET_COMP_TYPE is the AMDP class and method. SAPXXXis the schema.I reported this to Adobe customer support on 11/29, and here is their response:

Update query using FORALL statement
Hi ALL,
I have two tables Table: Mater_A(20 Cloumns) and Temp_A(20 Columns).
Both are almost identical. The Master_A is master table that has to be updated daily based on the temporary table Temp_A.
Everyday , i expect around 100000 records(same records with modified valus ) in Temp_A that has to be updated in Master_A. So i have to make the query as optimized as possible.
For this,I have created a cursor that has all records from table Temp_A.
Then i am using FORALL statement to update the data. But it throws exception something like that:
Error: PLS-00436: implementation restriction: cannot reference fields of BULK In-BIND table of records
Error: PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type
It states that i have to create a separate type for each column that i want to update.
I have created procedure like this:
Open C_Temp_A;
Loop
Fetch C_Temp_A Bulk Collect into v_C_Temp_A limit 5000;
Exit When C_Temp_A%NOTFOUND;
Begin
ForAll i in v_C_Temp_A.first.. v_C_Temp_A.Last
Update Master_A mst Set mst.Column2= v_C_Temp_A(i).t_Column2,
mst.Column3= v_C_Temp_A(i).t_Column3,mst.Column4= v_C_Temp_A(i).t_Column4........to all columns
where mst.Column1= v_C_Temp_A(i).t_Column1;
End;
End Loop;
Close C_Temp_A;
Please help me to solve this or suggest me any other alternative to reduce the processing time.Why cant you use like :(Or I misread?)

Using SQL Statements in Error Exceptions
Is there any way to include SQL statements within my catch routines (i.e.
catch (java.io.IOException ex) {
System.out.println("An error occurred whilst writing to the message buffer: " + ex);
#sql { INSERT INTO DEBUG_TBL(CURRENT_DT,PROGRAM_ID,DEBUG__MESG) VALUES (SYSDATE,'TEST',:ex) };
#sql { COMMIT };
As it stands I get the following error upon compile:
Error: Unsupported Java type for host item (at position#1): java.io.IOException
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx,
Boybles
nullYou can use SQL statements in your catch blocks, just not SQL statements that use Java types which do not map to SQL.
You cannot pass exceptions from Java to SQL. You can catch a SQL exceptions as a SQLException in Java. However, any exception that is thrown by a Java Stored Procedure (including SQLException) is rendered as an "Uncaught Java exception" in SQL.
When you receive a SQLException there is information about the originator, the error message, etc. in the exception object. See:
http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle8i/doc_library/817_doc/java.817/a83723/keyprog5.htm#1004462
While you cannot insert a Java exception per se into a table, you can extract the message string(s)/code and insert that in a table. -
I have Mac OS 10.5.8 and every time I try to install Air Adobe 3 I get the message
"You cannot use this version of the application Adobe Air Installer with this version of Mac OS X."
Could anyone help me?
JaiHi,
Adobe won't be developing for 10.5.8 new features (including new runtime) only security relates updates for existing runtimes (Flash 10.3.*/Air 2.7.*). Flash 11/Air 3.0 are only supported on 10.6.8.*/10.7.*, see:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/916/cpsid_91694.html#main_system_requirements
There is recent, lengthy thread on forums with Adobe's employees statements on that subject (support/development for 10.5.* and newer) but I cannot find it quickly as basically forum search is broken/hard to do,
regards,
Peter
