Cannot view report layout under Helios(Eclipse 3.6)

After upgrade to Helios (Eclipse 3.6), I connected to Crystal Reports for Eclipse's update site (http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreportsforeclipse/2_0/update_site/), and installed the latest cr4e.2.0.7.
But opening a report file, there is only "Expressions" page editor being displayed. Other page such as "Layout" or "Preview" are just disappeared.
In my Helios IDE, there are modules installed as below:

Here is what CR4E complained in error logs, it seems that IEditorInput param was passed a value of null.

What is more important is we need to use version 3.00 of J2EE web module which only Helios supports.

Unable to view Report Layout in Web Preview

Hi All,
I am facing some intermittent issues with some Hyperion FR Reports on Workspace.Whenever I am trying to see the HTML view of the report it simply shows the POV and no report Layout,the complete page is blank white whereas other reports are working fine.
Even when I am trying to open it with Studio and then trying to see its web preview then also it is showing me the same behaviour.

I think you are correct as it seems the user with which I was tryoing to run the report didnt have access on Dimensionality because when I tried with a different user I was bale to see the data.
There is another issue which I am facing related to the Relative Memeber function in Essbase.I am trying to extract the Previous Year from the POV selected member using RelativeMember function in Essbase but it is giving me error as [None]Member selected in the report however the same function is giving me results when I use it in Planning connection.
Any advice?

Cannot view the names under the Main Navigator

Hello,
In the Main Navigator we have different type of segments. Under that for each and every segment we have different attributes assigned. For example the segments Food, Chemistry and Metal Processing. And for these we have different attributes assigned Main Industry Food and Main Industry Manufacturing Industry and Application Manufacturing Industry. But I cannot see the names under Manin Industry Manufacturing Industry where as I can see all the names under diffrent attributes. Can anyone help me how to view the names under Main Industry Manufacturing Industry.

Crystal 2008, BO XI 3.1, cannot view reports, UserID password dialog shows

Hello Forum,
We have Crystal Reports 2008 installed on XP machine, and Business Objects XI 3.1 on a Windows Server 2008 machine. We can view sample reports on Server machine in CMC (right click view in report folder)
We can also view samples reports in BusinessObjects on XP machine. However if we create a report (simple report with no parameters) on XP machine and save to BusinessObjects server, then try and open report, we get a dialog indicating 'Further information is required' and User Id and Passworsd test box show.
This dialog shows repeatedly even when we enter credentials relevant to database/report. I have looked in .pdf documentation and forum and not had any success in resolving this. Any help would be appreciated, The report database is SQL Server,

I cannot view reports on an remote console

Hello,
I installed System Center Service Manager 2012 R2 console on a Windows 8 machine. It cannot connect to the SQL Reporting Services server. So I cannot see any report. But I can see everything if I access the Report Manager website on this machine.
However, the local console works as expected. And I installed some other consoles, which are all worked. Where can I start to troubleshoot this issue?

If you use proxy into IE, you need add your server with scsm reports to exceptions for your browser.
SCSM console uses http url for connect to reports.

Cannot view report for postings done to cost elements - ke5z

Hi,
i'm trying to view the postings that I made to cost elements. I was able to view them when I check it at for the costr centers (gr55), however I'm unable to run the report for the assigned profit center in ke5z.
The warning message was
Insufficient selection parameters (even after I entered the required fields version, CO area, Co code, posting prd, fiscal yr)
if I proceed further, the error message that pops up is
Diagnosis
     No data could be found in the database to match your selection criteria.
     The data might already have been archived.
Procedure
     Check your entries or choose datasource "archive".
I'm not sure what this is. please help.

I'm running LMS3.2, RME 4.3.1, CS 3.3.0 on Solaris 10.
We have a scheduled syslog reporting job that worked fine for the last year or so.
Today, when I tried to check the job's output, I got the following error:

Is the report located here with the job id NMSROOT/CSCOpx\files\rme\cri\archives\syslog\reports\output\(job id)? And what is the criteria for the
report you are attempting to run?
What kind of device?
What is the range? Try narrowing the range down?
Also re-run the sync archive on that device since its says the archive has been deleted.

Cannot delete reports, unless I close and open Eclipse/Tomcat

Please can someone help me.
I cannot delete reports. I have not worked out all the details yet but this is what I got so far...
First I thought it was a problem with my tomcat setup, I would deploy my WAR and run the app. After
viewing the report and closing the browser. I would not beable to delete the rpt file until I close Tomcat.
I have now got a similar problem within Eclipse. (as far as I can tell its the same problem but even worse)
If i create any report and design it or even a new blank report. And not do anything to it, just save it as a blank report. I then try delete the
report. Right click and then delete.
After a few seconds Eclipse brings up an error and says it cant delete the file, the reason it gives is
Problems encountered while deleting resources.
Could not delete 'C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt'.
    Problems encountered while deleting files.
      Could not delete: C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt.
I have tried creating a fresh new project and only one report. And I still get the error.
If I try delete the whole project perminatly it also gives the same error. (But deletes the default crystal report)
I have to close Eclipse and then open it again before I can delete the rpt files properly.
I have not always had this problem. It used to work fine (dont ask what I have done since
cause I would not beable to tell, sorry)
Hopefully someone can help me, as this is driving me insane, and having to stop and start Tomcat every
time I want to deploy a new test version is not really an option.

My reports within Eclipse seem to be behaving themselves now and dying gracefully without and hassles,
so I dont know what fixed that problem as I have not made any changes or done any updates. One of
those things I guess.
With regards to TOMCAT still having a handle on the reports, As far as I am aware I am putting the
report source in session
Below is my JSP that loads the report
I store report name in session via a servlet and set all the DB connection details in the servlet also.

So far its very basic.
How best can I kill and clean up once the web page is closed. I have tried a few options but dont seem to
know the best way,
I tried "onbeforeunload" but I dont know if this is the best practice,
I have a session listener with sessionDestroyed but have not learnt how to envoke this correctly, or atleast when to correctly call it. And then I dont know how to clean out any loaded reports from here.
I have used
request.getSession().invalidate();
at the end of my JSP but that destoys everything everytime a user does anything on the page, (selecting any of the buttons on the report)
I am still learning everyday, and so I appoligise for questions that I should really know, am being pushed into the deep end here so trying my best :).

Sorry for bumping this back the list, but I am at my wits end as how best to "clean out" the reports
once they have been closed or timed out.
Surely there must be a way to release all objects (be it a actaul rpt file or the classes12.jar) once the
reports have been viewed and closed.
Even if there is something I can load via another servlet that destroys anything that has to do
with the main website.
Thanks and again sorry for moving this back up the list. If i get no replies, ill assume this is impossible
and that the only way to upload a new version of a report is to shut the whole Tomcat service and
make the changes.

Hi Kenny_I,
Based on the error message, the issue may be caused by the incorrect configuration of Claims to Windows Token Service (C2WTS). The C2WTS is required because the communication between the web front-end (WFE) and the Reporting Services shared service will
always be Claims authentication.
The domain account used by the Claims to Windows Token Service needs to be granted the following rights through the Local Security Policy:
Act as part of the operating system
Impersonate a client after authentication
Log on as a service
We can find these settings under Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. And we should add the service account to the local Administrators Groups ahead.

View Crystal Report Layout for my UDO Form

Hi all,
I try to view a report created for my UDO form. I set all settings in Administration -> Setup -> General -> Report and Layout Manager. Now I wonder what should be assigned to eventInfo.LayoutKey. I tried assigned report's DocCode from RDOC, DocEntry of my UDO object or UDO Code but nothing works. Always get an error: Incorrect format of argument or something like that - I didn't get an error in English so I tried to translate it.
How to show a report layout for my UDO form?

Crystal Report Preview vs. SAP B1 Report Preview as a Layout under Content Type

Hello good day i'm trying to create a report that will be preview under A/R Invoice but the details need is under delivery module for example i create a serialize Item and set the Management Method on Every Transaction Under Item master data, so the transaction flow will be like this SO -> Delivery -> A/R Invoice. So under delivery transaction i will choose the serial that i will deliver so that under A/R Invoice Transaction i will no longer choose again the said serial that i choose on Delivery Transaction. There for on my Report i will Based on Delivery Transaction to get the chosen Serial But the Report will be Preview under A/R Invoice.
The main concern on This is why when i preview the said Report under Crystal Report the serial is showing but when i Import it on SAP B1 as a Layout under Content type it is no longer showing the serial on the preview?

Cannot View the Employee Salary Report in BI Publisher

Hi, everyone,
I have installed the Standalone version of bi publisher for windows (bipublisher_windows_x86_101341).
I have logged in as administrator, I have connected to my oracle database 11g thru jdbc succesfully. i cannot view the Employee Salary report. It gives me the error
Paramter name: dept Io exception: Invalid number format for port number.
The sample schemas are also installed on my database.
Could anyone guide me as i am very new to bi publisher.

REPORT LAYOUT Discoverer Viewer AS-10g

I have a problem about report layout on Discoverer viewer AS10g.
If I have a crosstab layout and Year is my left axis and Sales and Products are my top axis, I see the label on report (Year), not only values (2003, ). I also see the label Data point(s), but I dont want to see it.
How can I reduce or delete the white space around cells of data?
a)How can I hide the label Data points?
b)How can I hide the label Year?
c)How can I reduce the white space?

Cannot View Doc from Outgoing Payment under Approval Procedure messages

Hi Experts,
Both Originator and the approver cannot view the some of the pending and rejected documents when they are trying to edit the docuemtns from the approval procedures messages and approval decision reports.
In effect, the approval cannot approvbed the documents as he cannot check the document for approval. The documents can be viewed from the payment draft dopcument. It will be tedious for the approval to go back and forth to draft document and approval decesion report.
I already check the authorization for outgoing payment they both have full authorization. I can view the document as a super user. I need to know what other authorization do I need to check
Both originator and approver has full acess on outgoing payment since some of the documents can be viewed som3 documents cannot bew viewed.
Please help. We are in the data catch up mode for October 2009.
We are using 2007B PL10

Go in Admin > Approval Procedure > Approval Decision Report >
Select first check box " No Decision Yet"
select the pending one and approved it > update > ok

Cannot run/view report

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI R2.
Cannot preview a report in CMC or view it in InfoView. Things were working and then got into this state without me or anyone doing anything. I have stopped/started all the servers to no avail.
Other parts of CMC/InfoView are working fine. The only problem is viewing a report.
Please help!

I have a similar problem.
I am also running XI R2. Everything works fine internally inside the company network, but on the metaframe servers, users aren't able to view reports. Most other things works fine.
I am wondering if it has something to do with java and/or browser settings, but haven't been able to figure it out yet.
The workspace panel just comes up as blank, without any error message.
Any tips or ideas is greatly appreciated.
