ODBC Driver for 64 bit not visible
Hello, I have installed the instant client for odbc followed by the odbc driver for 10.2 (64-bit). However, when I look for the odbc drivers only the default SQL driver shows up. Am I missing something?
Hi,
Can you please specify the version of operating system along with the bit version.
Also, specify the path of ODBC data source administrator (odbcad32.exe).
thanks and regards

Using wdm driver for 24-bit out
I'm trying to modify a visual c++ program to play 24-bit wave files using an Audigy LS. (I had been using a 6-bit SB Li've.) I recoded to use DirectSound rather than Playsound. How do I get my program to use the wdm (Directx) driver, which I'm told I need for 24-bit output?

Canon selphy cp910 driver for mac yosemite
it appearrs that the selphy cp910 driver can not be used with mac-apple yosemite is there a fix coming?
B"H
Good day, bad news.
It would be very helpful & good business for Canon to make a Mac Yosemite driver for the Selphy CP910. We invested not so long ago in this little printer. It would be very nice to be able to use it.
Please Mrs. Ramona, Product Expert, can you please relay this request to the powers that be at Canon and make it happen???

ATI FireGL V3100 driver for 64 bit OS
I have ATI FireGL V3100 Graphic Card intalled in my HP xw4400 Workstation. I am now using Windows 7 64 bit OS and would like to upgrade the Graphic Card drivers since the video output is awful. I'm using an HP LCD monitor. Any help out there? Johnie.
Hi, Johnnie:
There are no W7 drivers for that card that I know of.
I would use the Vista driver from your PC's support and driver page.
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=3211221&sp...
You will probably have to install it manually if the driver does not install automatically or reports an unsupported operating system error.
If it reports and error, close out of any error windows. Go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters category.
Click on the Standard VGA adapter. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp37776.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
After you reboot, you should have decent graphics.
Then connect to the internet and run the Windows Update utility and see if Windows finds a newer driver for W7. -
X86 printer driver for 64 bit Windows 7
I have Windows 7 (64bit) on my computer. I want to install an x86 driver for my HP Photosmart C6280 printer so my XP laptop can print to this printer through my home network. I started by clicking on Devices and Printer, clicked on the Photosmart printer icon, right clicked the icon and selected Printer Properties. I clicked on the Sharing tab and the change setting button. I then selected Additional Drivers. I put a check in the box next to x86 and clicked OK. Windows wants me to provide the driver. I can find it on the installation disk for the printer.
How do I get this driver installed on my computer? If you were able to install anything for the printer, then uninstall it. Next, download the correct software from this location:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4063&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3194498
During the install you can select drivers only or the full software package, I believe.

Dowloading Deskjet 6840 driver for 64-bit Windows 8.1
Hello,
I've had a Deskject 6840 on my wireless network for some time and have just taken possession of a new 64-bit desktop running Windows 8.1. I tried to add the printer using the "Add Printer" facility of the Control Panel. As the 6840 did not appear in the list of HP printers I did a Windows Update only to find that it still doesn't appear in the list. I then visited the HP website and arrived at this page:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3854...
There are two downloads offered, but neither of them are the driver! I tried downloading the Printer Install Wizard, but all that told me was that the driver was missing and to use the "Add Printer" facility of Windows, which I had already done!
My old desktop is bust and I'm unable to print on the new one so am having to work on my W7 laptop. I'm getting a little exasperated. Am I going to have to buy a new printer? Has anyone got their 6840 working with Windows 8.1, if so how did you do it?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi,
Try following these steps and check if that may help:
Right-click the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type Change device installation settings.
Click Change device installation settings.
If it is not already selected, select Yes, do this automatically (recommended), and then click Save Changes. Your Windows 8 computer can now automatically detect the most current in-OS printer drivers and then download and install them using Windows Update.
Now add the printer through the network and allow a few moments for the printer to install.
If the same persists, open the Control Panel and select Devices and Printers.
Take a note of the printer IP address on that screen (Listed under the Addres column) and click on Add Printer and then click "The printer that I want isn't listed" link.
Select to add a printer using Standard TCP/IP and click on Next, then type the printer IP and follow the steps.
Once the printers list appear, click the Windows Update button and allow it some time. the list will re-appear once the updte completes.
Note: depanding on your internet speed it may take some time, 10-15 minutes are normal for the update to complete.
Select HP, then select the HP Deskjet 6800 Series and follow the steps to complete the wizard:

Where's the SATA Driver for 64-bit???
Hi there, i have a MSI Board for dual Opteron, and also got the new Windows XP 64 bit (Opteron edition) to try, but the problem gets big is were the hell im gonna put SATA drivers during the windows installation, where there is no 64 bit driver.
Im very disapointed with MSI and VIA Partner, by building Motherboards for Opteron/Atlhon 64, and not giving a damm good support for the upcoming 64 bit platform.
The way i see is either they are laisy or they took a the oportunity to make money by just selling lies.Quote

I'm sure this will change very soon, but for the moment you have to live with it.
As far as I know there are only nVidia and Adaptec drivers, maybe a few more, but there is very little hardware that has Win-64 drivers if they are not included with Win-64.
Be patient, they will all come when the platform is released by Microsoft.
Im afraid I side with the original poster, you are offering for sale the skeleton for a 64 bit system; or get off the bloody pot. By which I mean, If you plan to offer a 64 bit product, support it. MSI have disappointed me with their failure to release regular bios updates or allow access to beta level drivers/bios for those who have a genuine interest in pushing the boundaries. Why should we be patient when we have shelled out good cash for a motherboard upon which to run a 64bit platform.
Though, admittedly, responsibility for driver release falls with the manufacturer of the chipsets, not the motherboard and the original posters critiscism was best directed to VIA or Promise.
Personally, I use linux; so except for ATI and Atheron failing to support 64bit; I have a complete 64bit system functioning well without need for binary driver support. My only gripe is MSI's unfathomable tardiness in keeping up with BIOS upgrades for their 64bit products.
Failure to provide drivers for an OS which is already in late beta (as That Crud From Redmond(tm) 64bit is) testing constitutes a fumble of herculean proportions.
3 months ago, I was an MSI zealot; swearing by their products; however, watching *ALL* other 64bit via chipset mobo manufactures eclipse them with bios support, documentation and drivers, I am getting more and more keen to ditch the k8tneo and write it off as a bad idea. I am consistently frustrated by the technical support departments ignorance of the Athlon64 erratum, their poor email responsiveness and general lack of support for amd64 architecture.
Perhaps I need to take a deep breath and start working on stabilising a different system...

Problems using unixODBC Driver for 64-bit Linux
Good morning
We are incurring a problem with the unixODBC Driver via Oracle Heterogeneous Services for connecting from a 64-bit SUSE Linux Server to a Windows PostgreSQL database (8.2). Oracle is 11.2.0.3. We are receiving an error when retrieving SMALLINT data from PostGreSQL. This should "automagically" convert to NUMBER(5) in Oracle but we are receiving a conversion error.
Here is the text of the HS Trace file. Any help in diagnosing this would be much appreciated.

Site links to incorrect dv5-1058tx sound driver for 32-bit vista
The IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver (Version: 6.10.6087.0 C ) does not appear to work with my dv5-1058tx running windows vista business (32-bit). It gives some compatability error.
How should I proceed?I just did the same thing 5 days ago with Vista Ultimate. All I used was the Creative CD (option B in your email). I installed that, then used autoupdate to upgrade both the software and the drivers and it worked like a champ.

Hello there,
I just install solaris 9 in an x86 machine but my laser printer canon LBP 660 is no more recognised. My printer uses parallele port. Someone can help me to solve this problem, so I could print please?
AmaniThis is a nasty "WinPrinter" other than using a current version of Solaris/OpenSolaris witch you may have better luck getting it going (why are you using an ancient V9 Solaris ) check out this site ...
