Cant get coldusion 8 working on a 2003 IIS box...

I've been trying to get coldfusion 8 installed on our
production 2003 IIS box.. but so far i havent had any luck...
Here is how i have done the setup so far..
I ran the installation, installing everything except the
bottom check box (i forget what that one was called.. eds or rds
etc)...
I have a custom install.. ie: the setup files are placed on
d:\data\coldfusion.
The IIS instance is already created before hand.. which
points to d:\data\inetpub\Instance01 I also set the instance in IIS
to .net 2.0 etc...
In the installer when it asks about pointing to c:\inetpub, i
change this to d:\data\inetpub\Instance01 and choose the Instance01
instance (not installing to all instances)..
It then says it will install everything including the ODBC
service..
We have tcp/ip filtering on the nic, so i added port 51800 to
the list.. we also have windows firewall on, i added this port here
as well...
At the end it usually fails.. complaining about port 51800
not being open despite having it open.
If i try to open the admin page from
http://instance01.domain.com/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
I get the usual page cannot be displayed error..
If i try to run D:\Data\ColdFusion8\runtime\jre\bin\javaw.exe
manually.. at the end it says:
Could not connect to any JRun/ColdFusion servers on host
localhost.
Possible causes:
o Server not running
-Start Macromedia JRun4 or ColdFusion 8 server
o Server running
-JNDI listen port in jndi.properties blocked by TCP/IP
filtering or firewall
on server
-host restriction in security.properties blocking
communication with server
This is the same error i get if i try to open the web
configuration tool.. no jrun servers are listed.. it complains
about none being found to make sure the coldfusion service is
started.. which it is..
I also noticed the wildcard dll isnt listed in the config of
the IIS instance (like it is on our development server).. i tried
adding it here, with no luck..
I also noticed that extensions like CFM arent listed either..
i tried just adding this one and had no luck, though perhaps i
should have added all of them then reran install?
I also noticed that under the Instance01, where CFIDE is
located, that it doesnt show up with the application symbol as it
does on our development server...
I'm new to coldfusion, just mainly an admin trying to get the
install working so our developers web page can work..
Any thoughts on what i should do here to make this run?

Actually, i just found the solution.. it seems on our
dedicated server, we had tcp/ip filtering on.. i had added port
51800 to the settings .. but the install would still fail..
So i turned off filtering altogether and it worked fine..
So i re-enabled the filtering, this time also adding port
8500.. not sure if this helped or not, but i can still access and
use the admin pages.. still a bit puzzled on this one, but it is
working now.

OK. T-Mobile is NOT owned by AT&T... yet... The deal hasn't gone through yet. T-Mobie's US network is not compatible with the iPhone. Lots of things don't work right. There is not, and never has been an unlocked 3G sold in the US. Don't know where the phone originated, but more than likely it was in the US. If that's the case, the phone has been hacked/jailbroken to get it to work.
Have you tried doing a restore or restoring the phone as new? I have to warn you, if you do so and the phone is hacked/jailbroken, it will re-lock to AT&T and will become unusalbe. I think your best bet right now might be to save yourself a lot of grief and just upgrade to new phone from a legitimate source.
I would never even consider buying an iPhone on ebay. 99% or more are hacked, jailbroken and/or stolen.

Ghost 970 6gb mini display port to Asus pg278Q 144hz cant get to work

I am using a straight mini display port cable to display port no adapter and I can only get 120hz. It seems like it has to do with the fact the monitor is using the intel 4600 gpu instead of the 970m. Is there anyway around this? I changed the setting in nvidia control panel to use it all the time but does not help. Is there any setting I can do?
I cant get 144hz and therefore cannot get g-sync to work. I have searched these forums but cant seem to find a clear answer.

Currently none of MSI laptops support G-Sync, only the dock for GS30 supports (because it's actually a desktop).
I heard MSI they are still working on this but not sure if current models can be patched to support G-Sync or only new models support.

Cant get umtsmon working

Im quite new to Arch and so far everything work smoothly. Today I tried to get my Option GE0201 3G card working with umtsmon from aur. But sadly its not working although the card is recognized and I can send sms and see the signal strengh.
First problem: After program start umtsmon complains about some missing binaries (sorry for the german dialog) and clicking the "correct" button doesnt help, just results in a "umtsmon coudn"t find binary *su which is required for full operation" message. What binaries are missing here?
Second problem: Ignoring this complaint and trying to connect pppd gives me the following error

pppd seems not to provide replacedefaultroute in Arch. Even when I turn of the replacedefaultroute option in the profile setting I still get the same error message. I jused cant get rid of replacedefaultroute...
Does anybody have an idea what going wrong here? With my previous Ubuntu installation and using umtsmin 0.8.9 I never ran across these kind of problems.

The missing su binary is some kind of bug since all arch system has su, and on my systems umtsmon works fine after ignoring this one.
Arch's pppd built wouthout the replacedefaultroute patch, so that one will not work, and you have to enable the default route option.

Cant get cluster working on different machines

Hi,I am using weblogic 5.1 with Service pack 9. I had the cluster up and running on one NT machine. Then I decided to expand it on another maching in the LAN. I created the same directory structure i.e mycluster and mycluster/server(ip address) in the 2nd machine. Cluster name and the multicast address also remaining the same. But on getting my server instances up on both the machines, I cant get it on one clusterNilesh


Are the two machines on the samesubnet, i don't know about WLS6.0 but in
          WLS5.1, it is required that both these machines must be in the same subnet.

Canoscan scanner - N67OU - cant get to work!

I've been using this scanner for a few years without a problem with my old power mac but im having a few problems getting it to work with my macbook...
ive downloaded the 'canoscan toolbox x' but when i try and scan it just says "the scanner plug-in was not found"
im also having problems getting the 'link scanned image to' section to link up with photoshop like it did previously.. i go into applications and then photoshop but it wont let me link to the program itself...

Did you ever get your Canon N670U to work on your Mac book? I bought a new iMac and I can't get it to work at all! I've tried reinstalling it, but it is missing a file. Could it be the Adober reader? It has the options of .jpg and .pdf grayed out like they aren't an option, although it won't let me scan it as a .gif, either.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Kindle fire hd cant get to work.

While I think I downloaded flashplayer. When I click download box (after it says it's completed it says download is complete) it says unable to open file.

[SOLVED]XBMC Alsa Nvidia HDMI cant get dmix working with plughw:1,

With 2.6.34 i'm able to get audio through my Asus (Nvidia chipset) GF210.
The issue is that in order to get audio in XBMC, i have to specify a custom audio device as plughw:1,7 and that seems to disable dmix -- ergo, no more two sounds at once (so no crossfade during music playback).
this is the only card description that works; it basically tells XBMC to output to the raw hardware directly on card 1 device 7 skipping all layers of abstraction (including dmix).
this method is only recommended for applications that will do all their own mixing (think jackd). so the behavior is to be expected.
some online docs say dmix will only work with the "default" device, others say it might work if i don't use the hw descriptor, but omitting the "hw" --> no sound at all.
the only other way i can get sound at all is to redefine pcm.!default as the plughw:1,7 device in /etc/asound.conf and then specify "default" in XBMC (this makes sense) but this still seems to mean no dmix.
obviously, resetting everything and using the normal VGA + Headphone-out mixes and crossfades just fine.
So, does anyone know:
* a way to get dmix going with a custom plughw card/device
* a way to tell XBMC to do the mixing on its own before sending the sound to plughw -- is this possible?
any help appreciated, it's more of a want than a need right now.

Cant get videos working on my other itunes

hi there hope someone can help,
I have 2 macs, a mini plugged into my TV and my G4 tower for everyday use, but as this has a larger hardrive i store all my tunes and videos on this and has my ipod syncd. I have recently installed tubesock to download utube vids and some i have bought off itunes but they are on my mac mini, when i copy them over to my other mac and try to put them on my ipod it says i cant.

Trying to get connected to Oracle via tcp redirection, cant get it working.

I have an oracle server behind a firewall, and i want to connect to it directly.. Let's say the Oracle is on 10.0.0.1 and I want to connect to it over internet. Machine has a public IP of 12.34.56.78 and an open port 80.
I have a software that will take any bytes sent to port 80, and send them to 1521, and same for reverse direction, so I run this on the box with oracle, and I can certainly TELNET 12.34.56.78 80 just fine.. And I can TNSPING it after I set this host and port in tnsnames
But it seems that oracle "knows" its IP address is 10.0.0.1 and when I connect a client to 12.34.56.78 port 80, the client is then seen (sniffing the network traffic) to immediately try connecting to 10.0.0.1 on some random port in 4000 range, as if oracle has told it "ok, now connect to me on 10.0.0.1 4000"
What is going on/how can I stop oracle behaving in this way?

Let's say you put the tns listener listening on the public IP and in port 1521, this is only the way in. On the way out the TNS process does a hand-shake between the user process connecting from the outside and the server process forked inside the machine to serve that session, but it comes out through a different port, in a random range.
What you need to do is to let the binaries of Oracle pass whatever they want through the firewall instead of opening ports. I'm assuming your firewall technology lets you do that.

Don't know what you mean by that. When it asks where you want to save the HTML and images, you can point it to a folder in your GoLive site. Otherwise, you could just save it wherever and copy whatever it exports into GoLive (or Dreamweaver) later.
