Cant open table connection in Data insight

Hi Experts
I am new to Information steward. when i am trying to add a table or table by name or file it is show a disabled page, i created a connection to IS Repo and also a project in CMC. what i have to do. please help me

Your start was perfect, you have create a user, a project and during installation you have created a IS repository (which stores all the IS project information, rules, calcualted scores etc.).
But for accessing any data (database tabels or files) to do a profiling or a data quality assesment task, you have to go first to the CMC and in teh Information Steward section you have to define the database connection TO YOUR SOURCE DATABASE (that includes e.g. dbuser, password etc.) and then in the "Add table" screen within the Information Steward you wil see on the left hand side the selection of the already defined database connections that are visible (granted by the administrator) for you as an IS user. There you will be able to select then the tables form the database that you want to add to your project.
Hint: After you have checked which tables you want to add to your project from that database connection please do not forget to press the "Add to Project" button on th eupper left corner. when you check the tables and just "Close" the window they will not be added.

We have set up the following method for displaying reports via our website:
User is sent to a report-specific page. The user is given some filtering options specific to the report that will be viewed. When the user has specified the data filters, the user clicks a button.
The page wraps up the report parameters -- selection query, formula values, report location, the name to be displayed, etc. -- into a class which gets put into the Session object.
The page redirects to DisplayReport.aspx. ALL reports redirect to this page.
DisplayReport.aspx retrieves the report parameters from Session. A ReportDocument object is created and loaded, then set with the data from the parameters class.
A ConnectionInfo object is created and set with the relevant log on credentials. All of the reports draw from the same database, so the connection information is hard-coded as the same for all reports. The page then iterates through all of the tables in the Database.Tables collection of the ReportDocument and calls ApplyLogOnInfo to each table using the ConnectionInfo object.
The page is rendered and the user gets the filtered report.
We currently have seven reports. Five reports work fine and display the correctly filtered data with no error messages. Two reports generate a Failed to open the connection error and do not display. I have verified that the queries being sent to DisplayReport.aspx are valid, and as I said the connection information itself is hard-coded in the one page that displays the reports and this is identical to all reports.
The five reports that do work all have a single data table, either an actual database table or a single view. The two reports that do not work all have multiple tables. As far as I can tell, this is the only difference between the sets; all seven reports are based on the same DSN and I have verified the database on all of the reports. All of the reports were written using Crystal Reports 8, and all of the reports display fine in a Windows app I wrote some years ago using Crystal Reports 8. Again, the only difference between those reports that do work and those that do not is the number of tables used in the report: one table or view in the reports that display, more than one table (tables only, none use views) in the reports that do not display.
As for the code I am using, below are the relevant methods. The function MakeConnectionInfo simply parses out the components of a standard SQL connection string into a ConnectionInfo object. Does this approach not work with reports containing multiple tables, or is there something I'm missing? Any meaningful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

Failed to open the connection, when view returns no data.

Hi Guys,
I'm having a minor issue.
I'm running a report in the crystalreportsviewer in asp.net.
The report is retrieving it's data from a view.
The report also has a subreport with an overview with totals, using the same view and the same parameters as the primary report.
Now everything is working fine in a filled database.
But when the view does not return any data, i get the following error:

Lot of important info missing here:
1) What version of CR?
2) What CR updates have you applied?
3) What version of .NET?
4) Is this on your dev box or after you deploy?
5) Have you looked up error code 53 for your database? (This is the error code CR engine is simply passing through from the db client)
6) What is the database?
7) What connection method are you using?
8) Depending on the version of CR, can you run this report in the CR designer?
9) Copy and paste the code used to run the report.

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.

What is the purpose of open/close connection data socket?

Hello everyone,
I am writing and reading values in OPC Server through data socket. What is the purpose of open/close connection data socket when writing /reading a value? Without the open/close connection element, it still work correctly. I am writing values in the server thru event stucture.I do not need any buffered reading or writing. What will happen if I didnt not use the open/close connection? Maybe it may cause some problems in my program which i didnt realise?

I was talking about something like that:
1. Not good. since with every iteration the DS connection needs to be opened and closed.
2. Good. Since you open the connection only once then do the reads and close it afterwords.

You do not need the Setup Assistant; in fact, you do not need any software on an external hard drive. I have two LaCie's; I erased the drive as soon as I plugged it in. You will need to format it anyway because most hard drives come Windows formatted. So, if you only want to use it with the Mac, highlight it in Disk Utility and choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format and the GUID Partition scheme under Options. While doing that, it will erase the drive (and get rid of the LaCie software) - once finished, your drive is ready to use for Time Machine or any other backup plans you have for it.

How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.
If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.

Cant open itunes when ipod connected

I cant open i tunes when my ipod is connected. as soon as i disconnect it itunes comes up. if i connect my ipod with itunes already running it stops working.
im really starting to loose my patience

Are you sure you actually synced them? I know you said it shows up when your iPod is connected, but I'm not sure if that means it's really there. When your iPod is connected, click on the TV Shows tab in the main window in iTunes. Check your syncing preferences there and make sure the shows are actually getting synced.

If I have PowerPivot Connection with 8 tables in the data model, can I extract the Command Text for each with VBA?

I have a data model with a single PowerPivot connection to an Oracle database. This model had eight tables in it which all use the same "Existing Connection". I can get the Query from the first Table connection using Command Text, however,
I do not know how to get the CommandText of each of the additional tables associated with the same connection.

Safari cant open the page because its not connected to the internet

iPhone 3g connected to my wifi at home just fine for first 3 weeks, now wont connect and getting error message "safari cant open the page because its not connected to the internet" Signal strength is excellent, other wireless devices are connecting fine.
Ive reset network settings, modem and router but still getting error messages.

Hey man, I have this same problem and it all started with 2.0.2. This is the worst update Apple could have given us. I love Apple products, and I loved my iPhone 3G until this update. I think 2.0.2 has caused more bugs than it claims to have fixed. Safari doesn't work anymore (3G or WI-FI) and I can barely pick up 3G unless I'm outside or near a window (whereas before 2.0.2 I could get 3G even in the underground tunnels of my university campus). My iPhone is no fun anymore and actually pointless, I might as well revert back to my original RAZR v.3, at least that thing worked as it was designed to.
I hope Apple issues a new update that just cancels out 2.0.2 and reverts back to 2.0.1....that one worked absolutely fine (at least I got no crashes of any kind with that version).

Install iTunes on your Acer and you can back up the iPhone. Or back it up to iCloud. If you do not back it up you can get it unlocked, but you will lose all of your content.
You can get iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes.
Even after unlocking I'm not sure it will work on Straight Talk, because last time I checked ST used Verizon as its carrier, and an AT&T iPhone 4 is not compatible with Verizon's network. You can probably use it on Net 10 or T-Mobile once it is unlocked.
