Cant sync cloud data to older ipod
Apparently there is a cloud signal next to 95% of my albums in my iTunes library and those albums are not showing up when trying to manually sync music to one of my older iPods. I must have missed something major here because I have not idea what to do.
In iTunes, click Store>Deauthorize computer on both computers. (If there's only one, then deauthorize, then reauthorize the one computer.)

New Windows 8 computer not syncing most songs on older iPod.
I have a new Windows 8 computer and an older iPod. I can now only sync songs that were NOT already on iCloud, even though all my 8000 songs are in files on my C drive and backed-up on an external drive. The weird thing is that few files that do sync are the only ones that are also visible on Home Sharing.

It sounds like you can press the sync button in iTunes but no music transfers over to your iPod classic. I found an article that should help with transferring music to your iPod classic.

You might need to go to the Music tab seen here and check the "Sync Music" box and then select the data that you would like to sync.

Basically, since I upgraded to the new MobileMe calendars, which use CalDAV instead of being local calendars, I can no longer view them on my iPod Mini. The .ics files that iTunes puts in the iPod's Calendars/ folder are empty.
So, is this a fixable problem on my side, or is this feature just non-existent?...

Cant sync all songs to new ipod
just got a new nano and when i try and sync i get a message saying that 38 songs will not be copied because this computer isnt authorized. i have deauthorized and reauthorized with out any luck. any ideas?

Make sure all of the videos used in the project that is having that problem are from the same event. If they are from multiple events, move them all into one event.

I recommend trying to sync your music again using iTunes. When you have your iPhone connected to iTunes, I recommend checking the Music tab to verify that Sync Music is checked. Manual syncing of music in tunes match is not possible. All you music that has been matched, uploaded or purchased is available on your iPod touch.
As the music is in the cloud you can only listen to it when you have a wifi connection. You can pre-download tracks whilst you have a connection.
If you want to manually sync specific tracks or playlist, you can turn off match to manually sync and then turn back on match to allow you to access other tracks whilst you have a wifi connection.

Can I sync app data from iPad to iPod touch?
I have a 3G iPad, to which I have downloaded a translation app called Jibbigo.
I'm going on a missions trip next month, and there will be no internet there, so I need to be able to use the app in offine mode.
This app can be used offline by downloading translators.
I have an English/Spanish translator downloaded on my iPad, and all works fine.
I also have a 4G iPod touch.
I downloaded the Jibbigo app (and it works fine online), but have not been able to download the English/Spanish app onto it (in order to be able to use it offline)
I can find no support from the company.
Would there be any way to be able to sync the data (offline Span/Eng translator) from my iPad?
I can't do a whole restore from backup, since the iPod touch is only 8 GB, where the iPad is 32 GB.

- If the is an iPad 1 then you should be able to restore the iPod for the iTunes backup of the iPad 1 provided that you delete/remove from the iTunes library all media that was on the iPod like app, music and videos except the one app.
- You can't restore the 4G iPof fro a backup made on onother device if the other device has a higher iOS version.
- What hapens when you try to download the app on thie iPod? ( English/Spanish app)?
Is the app compatible with iOS 6? Maany now require iOS 7 but yo may be able to download the last compatible version by:

My itunes library had been fine. I had been using an older ipod nano to sync with my itunes library and had been doing manual syncs, with the preferences in itunes set for not allowing "ipods or iphones" to sync automatically. I found out that apple had a program to replace the battery on this older ipod nano, so I sent it in. It was great, they didn't have an exact replacement and sent me a later ipod nano. However, this ipod nano is so new - I will have to get a newer computer with a later operating system to use it.
So, I thought I'd use my old iphone to listen to my old playlists. I thought the preferences were set for not automatically syncing iphone to itunes.
I've had problems in the past with the syncs with this iphone and my computer because of the USB port (1.1). I'm thinking this was the problem.
The apple store did something to update the software on my iphone when it wasn't working one day. I think that when I tried to sync the iphone to the g4 cube via the old port (1.1) it basically wiped out everything on my itunes. Whatever was my selected playlist for my iphone - that was the only music
that remained on my computer and the iphone. I only had about 20 songs purchased on my library, but alot of music that had been downloaded, I gave away those original cds. I did have a back up on my external drive, but that thing died a few weeks ago from some random power outtages we had this fall.
I'm not looking to purchase retrieval software or have some outside third party to retrieve it for me. It's not that much music lost. I just wanted confirmation that this is what happened: that my old iphone sync is what erased the music.The old iTunes library was lost with the old PC. However, it all that music and content is still on your iPod there are many ways you can extract this content from the iPod and import it back into iTunes.
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the new PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
