  • Using High-Level API, need to use KeyRelease just for Lists

    I'm coding a MIDlet with High-Level API, but I found that is really annoying to press down 30 times in a long List to reach the item you want to select. So I thought "what about pressing right/left and make it working like pressing down/up like 10 times"?
    Something like this:
    Canvas canvas = new Canvas() {
             public void paint(Graphics g) { }
             protected void keyPressed(int keyCode) {
                switch(keyCode) {
                    case -3:mylist.setSelectedIndex(mylist.getSelectedIndex()-10,true);break;
                    case -4:mylist.setSelectedIndex(mylist.getSelectedIndex()+10,true);
          }; // end of anonymous class*/But I have no idea about how to implement this =(

    first of all, is there any particular reason you want to stick to the high-level API?
    Well, I have already nearly 700 lines of code. I don't want to start from 0 :P
    I think the best way to implement this would be to use customItems so you can control the view of the list.
    I think that requires MIDP2.0 I'm trying to make it work in MIDP 1.0
    The best you could do with high level UI is add navigation Commands to the List.
    I have already 2 Commands per List. Not all phones have a button in the center of "cursors", so I use right button for select and left for back/exit.
    Thanks for replies anyway

  • Sales order display-how to change color of item with high level 0

    Please does anyone know how can i chenge the color of item with high level 0 in display of sales order in red or yellow so it can be seen better for better searching on page?
    thank you in advance...
    regards..

    You'd probably have to do a modification in SD for that. But what you can do, is make the higher level item not changeable. You could also set the display range to UHAU to only see the main items, do this in transaction VOV8. Or you could change your item category in VOV7 only to show main items.
    good luck

  • Not to cancel whole release with 1st level without cancel with higher level

    Hi
    In case of release of PR or PO I have maintained Release Prerequisite. So I can't release with 2nd level of release code without releasing with 1st level of release code. In case of cancelling release reverse should happen. i.e. I can't cancel release with 1st level of release code without cancelling with 2nd level of release code. But I am able to cancel the whole release with 1st level of release code irrespective of whether I have cancelled release with higher level of release codes or not.
    I want this not to happen.
    Any suggestion ? Is there any customizing seting to be maintained.
    Points assured.

  • Service item not relevant for pricing if used with higher level item catego

    Hi,
    We have a service item e.g S900 with Item category ZTAD.
    This line Item automatically creates a Service Order.
    Requirement is , if this service item is used with an Equipement Item,
    Item 10 --> Equipment
    Item 20 --> Service
    --> There would be price required for the Equipment ( Condition type ZPRO - Mandatory )
    --> System should not ask for the price of Service Item, as it would be inclusive in the Equipmetn charges.
    --> In short if the Service item is used as Sub item with Equipment, it is not relevan for pricing.
    I tried copying ZTAD and creating a new item cateogry which is not relevant for pricing...would that be the correct approach, but facing several issues related to Automatic Service order generation.
    what could be possible ways to achieve above.
    Regards
    Trupti Deulkar

    Hi,
      System will ask the price for  item category TAD bcoz service also chargble,in your case insted of TAD use TANN as free,
       You can define based on your higher level item category  for Ex : OR + Normusage(Blank)Higherlevl item (Blank)= TAN
                                                                       you can config like this  ORNormUsge(Blank)  + TAN = TANN
    like this you can do it this correct way or els you can manually enter the item catagory (TANN) at sale order line item level.
    Thanks

  • Can I use textfield in an application with low level api?

    Hello !
    I am developing a mobile application using the low level api.
    I have to use it, because I do a lot of coloring.
    But I want to use high level textfields as well. Is there any way
    to include them in my application without using forms?
    Does any one know, why J2ME designer's have limited the access
    to the TextField's paint()-method? That's why I cannot inherit
    from TextField and overwrite the paint() as I would like to do.
    Thanks.

    Unfortunately no. You cannot mix both high and low level on the same screen. You'll probably have to draw it out yourself and capture user input, unless you're willing to use textboxes.
    Or.. i suppose you can try using customItems for all your "coloring" instead?

  • Is anyone having problems with high levels of noise?

    I am shooting with a Canon 70D with a EFs 18-135mm lens.
    I have noticed that there is more noise than I ever expected in the photos I have been taking. Even at ISO 100 in good lighting conditions, LR seems to show more noise than the Canon Pro software that came with my camera.
    Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a fix besides having to do a lot of post shot editing in LR?

    Steve,
    my opinion here has nothing to do with failing to compare like with like: I've been using Lr for years now, and (to address Andrew's point) I've been ETTRing for as long as I can remember.
    And I am absolutely clear, having carefully and diligently tested Lr's Canon 70D output, both against other converters which I also know very well how to drive; and against the results of other camera conversions from Lightroom, that the Lr 70D noise profile is clearly less than optimal: specifically, that its handling of noise in the shadows is very poor.
    Every review of the 70D that I've read suggests that in noise terms it's better than the 7D (my main "comparison" body for my 70D tests), and it's demonstrably true of conversions in Photo Ninja, DxO Optics Pro, Capture One 7 Pro - and even DPP - but in Lightroom, uniquely, the 7D's results are superior to those of the 70D.
    It has proven all but impossible to get an acceptable balance between low noise in the shadows and detail across the rest of the image (I'm a bird photographer - this matters to me) with 70D files, whereas the same balance is trivially easy to achieve with the 7D.
    Again for the avoidance of any doubt, I'm a capable Lr user and I know how to balance NR, detail and sharpening for best results - and the 70D profile just doesn't hack it. This isn't about dragging up under-exposed images, it's about a noise profile which is inherently flawed.

  • URGENT : To identify indexes with high level of updates

    Hi,
    I wanted to find out which indexes have experinced a lot of updates and are extended a lot more than the table size. Make a list of them and rebuild it.
    Can you please help me in this

    I can not imagine why you are unhappy with the replies you have received.
    You never posted a version number.
    You never posted a question with enough information for someone to help you.
    The vast majority of the time, and with properly created indexes, they can be ignored.
    I would suggest you find a basic Oracle class in your area and learn more about Oracle rather than expecting volunteers to be able to read your mind and fill in the missing information.

  • High level contract and orders created with reference

    Dear All,
    The client is an integrated flat steel manufacturer. They have entered into quantity contract with high level products like for example Hot rolled coils + Cold rolled coils + Heat Treated plates 5000 T per month. There is no clear cut quantity breakup of each product. On monthly basis customer releases purchase orders with exact grade and dimensions. The requirement is to capture contact for 5000T and create orders with reference to the contract with necessary completion rule. Since exact break up of the high level products is not known controlling of order quantity to 5000T will involve lot of manual intervention. I was thinking in the contract we have high level material "X with 5000T and orders created with reference with actual materials like Hot rolled coils, Cold rolled coils and exact dimension/grade mentioned. Is this possible to have different materials in contract and order with enhancement?
    Any other idea of fulfilling the requirements is welcome.
    Thanks,

    Hi Ramesh,
    Go through  EKPO there is a Table BANFN it will update when you create a PO with reference to PR
    Do se11 > Table EKPO> CtrlShiftF10 > Assign any of PO no. in the EBELN > Execute > you will find BANFN table
    it indicates Purchase Requisition Number. it will update when you create PO with reference to PR.

  • Example using low level API POI for generating Excel??

    Hi
    is anyone know good URL that teaches generating Excel using low level API using Apache POI?
    The reason is because i want to set the password for either workbook/sheet in high level API but it cant be done.
    the only thing can be done using High level API is protect sheet without password.
    Any idea?

    There is quite a good pack of documentation that ships with HSSF. To answer your question, I have just gone to the how to page and copied the example below, hope it helps.

  • JMX for high level AMPs?

    I have to implement a high level API for a special device and I wonder if JMX is the right choice.
    Is it possible to write a high level object oriented API with JMX or is it just a modern substitute of SNMP?
    For example if I write an API for my mp3 radio player can I say <record the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" from "The
    Bangles", when ever it comes> and later copy all received songs to the client or can I just say <start recording now> and <stop recording now>?
    Regard, I want to implement an API so other complex applications can control my device comfortable, not a plug-in
    into an existing management application that controls other stand-alone devices too.
    Any comments? What's your experience?
    Marvin Haktar

    Yes, JMX is suitable for creating a high level API that offers more flexibility in management than a pure SNMP based approach. One of the goals of the JMX specification is to address the needs of application management, whereas SNMP has traditionally focused on network/device management.

  • Settlement Run on Higher Level WBS

    Hello Experts,
    Scenarios is that I need to run settlement on 2nd Level WBSE where I have assigned asset class but my activities are linked on 3rd OR 4th Level WBS Elements due to the requirement of detailed level project planning. Cost is posted against lower level WBS Elements and settlement is to be run on higher level WBS Element.
    Can I roll up the cost from lower level WBS to Higher level WBS so that settlement can be run against the asset class assigned with higher level WBS Element
    Please advise. Thanking you in anticipation...
    Warm Regards

    Hi,
        You can perform this kind of settlement in two ways based on different conditions:
    1. If there is only one asset to be created from project, then instead of hierarchical settlement you can use the line item settlement to the same asset maintained in the settlement rule of superior WBS, by using settlement strategy as in customization as ( Settlement rule generation: account assignment category........4)  Copy rule from superior object. So that settlement of all the object will be done to the same asset.
    2. Otherwise, if you want to have the settlment to the same asset of your project structure in hierarchy, then you can use SAP note number 211324, to have Settlement rule generation: account assignment category as 05 (Superior WBS element), in the customization of settlement strategy.
    I hope this should help you.

  • High-level/scripting languages learning thread

    Hi all,
    In recent weeks i have looked into many of the high-level/scripting languages.  All of them easy enough to get into quickly. My problem though is not learning them actually, but that i don't actually have much use now. Sure, from time to time i need a little script for something (and sometimes i then translate that script to lots of languages just for the heck of it like here), but that doesn't amount to much. However on the other hand i'm neither in some job regarding IT/programming nor do i study anything with respect to programming, and i also am not interested in more programming as in compiled languages, system programming or things like that. (At the very least not yet). So i'm doing this just for fun and learning (two of my lifegoals). I am aware of for example Project Euler, however i'm not mathematically interested enough for that.
    So, the purpose of this thread are two things.
    a) I'm asking for suggestions for interesting things i could do with high-level/scripting languages, maybe someone knows of something Project Euler like but for more mundane things and not maths.
    b) So as to give this thread another purpose and not make it only about me, maybe people who have some problem writing a script for something can ask for help. I know of the other thread (the long one, "commandline utilites/scripts"), but that one seems to be more of the sort where someone posts a script he/she uses and then maybe someone posts an answer to that. So for this thread here people should be able to ask for help while creating the script, or even "Where to start". This could serve both the people with the problem and the people wanting to learn more about some language but not finding a way to apply the learning.
    Ogion

    a) I'm asking for suggestions for interesting things i could do with high-level/scripting languages, maybe someone knows of something Project Euler like but for more mundane things and not maths.
    To me, this sounds like the Python Challenge: http://www.pythonchallenge.com/
    Also, if you're not interested in math, maybe you might still find yourself engaged by something like natural language processing, games, or simulations? I personally find the "Natural Language Toolkit" for Python to be a lot of fun.

  • High-level GUI api

    hi all,
    I am developing a game in which i was supposed have the Canvas class in which after the game waas over the Usr was supposed to enter the name and some details about him.
    I tried by using the same Canvas class for that,it has given the OutofMemory Exception
    I rethought about the implementation and i am in total confusion what to do for the next step.
    I tried to avoid the outof memory Exception,like by increasing the heap size even then the problem continues...
    Like a oasis i found an document about the custom item,the concept is good like in that they have given that with the help of high-level GUI api we can have the application control(we can use Canvas in from)
    is that is possible to implement,if so, can anybody show me the way for that
    thanks for reading such a big query,Thanks in advance

    hi ,
    the document name is "Games on the Java Platform for Mobile Information" it was an pdf file in that they have given about the High-level GUI API.
    i got that file from the www.sun.com/software site
