Capture Characteristics with Material and Sales (Really Very Urgent)
Dear All ,
I have to capture the charecteristics alongwith the material, these characteristics also flow in the sales order, basically a class has been defined which holds a number of characteristics and this class is assigned to the material and I guess this is done using the variant configurator,
1) How will be able to capture the same and display
those ?
2) Does this characteristics flow in the standard
extractors of the material and sales order or any
other cube which can multicubed with those ?
Plz do suggest me the an viable option.

You can generate this datasources using TCODE CTBW, You can refer to this note (306046), which xplains the same, I have done that to an extent but data is not flowing in my main DS and I need to understand the mapping of the same in InfoSource structure.

Thanks for your reply, I have checked up the material attributes it does not flow there and I was referrring to one note where you can enhance your datasource using CTBW to capture this characteritsics so I did enhance 0MATERIAL_ATTR, the other attributes are listed as an TEXT DataSource and If I check them using RSA3 data gets populated accordingly but the enhanced datasource 0MATERIAL_ATTR which become 1CL_MAT001 does not return any records shows zero records, I am looking for charcterictics which have been mapped using an Variant Configurator and as far as the note suggests it has to be done thru CTBW to capture this, I have done that but success still eludes me,
Experts Plz help on this as I am on pressure to complete this.

You're on good way while using FM SERNR_ADD_TO_LS and SERIAL_LISTE_POST_LS .
In the second function module you don't need to pass anything.
Don't forget to make a commit work to avoid database error during synchronisation.
I had also one case of updating the serial to the document. It was the Sales order. I have worked with the function module SERNR_ADD_TO_AU which is internally using the function module SERNR_ADD_TO_DOCUMENT. The following is the sample code for it:

Need help on enhancement of 0CO_OM_OPA_1 with Material and Plant
Hi,
I have a requirement that need to build a BW report which shows Actual costs and Planned Costs of Service Orders. We are getting Actual costs from 0CO_OM_OPA_6 and now i am getting planned costs from 0CO_OM_OPA_1. For actual costs we are getting Service Orders, Material and plant from Satandard DS 0CO_OM_OPA_6. Where as For Planned Costs standard data source 0CO_OM_OPA_1 is not having Material and Plant information. For this we decided to enhance 0CO_OM_OPA_1 with Material and Plant.
But we are not sure the source tables for material and plant and the logic to extract these data from the tables. Can anybody please help me out.
Thanks for your supprt in advance.It's possible you may need to use a CO-PA (profitability analysis) datasource instead of 0CO_OM_OPA_6. 0CO_OM_OPA_6 extracts data from CO tables.
Based on the path you provided "...Profit. segment...", the requested data might exist with CO-PA.
If you determine the required data resides in CO-PA, you'll have to create a datasource based on the operating concern. You can perform a search within the online docs for steps to create this datasource.

SMARTFORMS STEPS.
1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
5. Open Tcode Smartforms
6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.
10. By right click on page you can create windows or Go to Edit, Node, Create.
11. After creating the window right click on window create table for displaying the data that you are passing through internal table.
12. In the table Data parameter, loop internal internal table (Itab) into work area(wa).
13. In table there are three areas Header, Main Area, Footer.
14. Right click on the Main area create table line by default line type1 is there select it.
15. Divide line into cells according to your need then for each cell create Text node.
16. In text node general attribute. Write down fields of your work area(wa) or write any thing you want to display.
17. Save form and activate it.
18. Then go to Environment, function module name, there you get the name of function module copy it.
19. In your program call the function module that you have copied from your form.
20. In your program in exporting parameter of function pass the internal table(itab).
SAP Smart Forms is introduced in SAP Basis Release 4.6C as the tool for creating and maintaining forms.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
To print a form, you need a program for data retrieval and a Smart Form that contains the entire from logic. As data retrieval and form logic are separated, you must only adapt the Smart Form if changes to the form logic are necessary. The application program passes the data via a function module interface to the Smart Form. When activating the Smart Form, the system automatically generates a function module. At runtime, the system processes this function module.
You can insert static and dynamic tables. This includes line feeds in individual table cells, triggering events for table headings and subtotals, and sorting data before output.
You can check individual nodes as well as the entire form and find any existing errors in the tree structure. The data flow analysis checks whether all fields (variables) have a defined value at the moment they are displayed.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.

Problem in a webdynpro abap component - Really very urgent PLZ help me

I am working with FITV_POWL_TRIPS webdynpro component.In that my requirement is to keep a button and input fields near the create travel request button and to add some functionalities.
I worked in the component , unfortunately the component get corrupted. i don't know how to retrieve the component to its original state.I tried with version management but no use.
Can anybody suggest me how to retrieve the component. Any of your inputs is valuable to me.
if the patch should be installed is the only way mean plz tell me the patch details.
Actually FITV_FPM , this component get damaged. This component is under FITV_POWL_TRIPS.

Really i failed to use the enhancement mode to work with that POWL component.Actually the thing i did is added an attribute directly to the component controller of that component and binded it to the drop down then activated , it shows some error "Configuration missing error" so again i deleted that attribute and reactivated it again but it shows the same error. so i tried to retrieve it back from version.But failed, then compared with other system the methods and attributes are same as it is.Finally copied the methods and code from that system though all are same in two systems, then activated.No error now.But clicking on the "create request" button the component shows a road map step with 1 as completed status.It looks with the following information

and with two buttons one is disabled and thats capiton is Previous step and the other is exit that is enabled
when i clicked that exit button it again goback to the intial screen of FITV_POWL_TRIPS.
Before it shows with some 3 or 4 road map steps with some different status.
Tell me any other way to retrieve it.As the patch to be reinstalled is the solution means please tell in which patch this resides.Technically i want to retrieve it, going for patch update is secondary and i go for that if and only if there is no other way.

Problem with material and document date in sales order
Hi All,
I am working in ECC 6.0 .I am facing problem with two fields when in enter in to sales order(tcode:va01)
1.A material comes automatically in line item.
2.Document date also comes as 27.03.2008 instead of todays date in each order i create.
I think its not related to configuration.I think its related to some modifications through exits or enhancement points.could someone suggest me a where to check and solve that.

Problem in changing characteristics of material while sales order creation
Hello,
My requirement is to change the characteristics of the material in a sales order before the sales order is saved.
I tried using 'BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE' but it aint working. In the debugging mode it is found that the program is searching for entries in KSSK table which are not found. The object key passed to the BAPI is a combination of sales order number and the item number and the object table is VBPS.
Is there any other way by which I can change the characteristics before the sales order is saved?

Changing MRP profile of a material and sales order
Hello,
user has changed the MRP profile of some materials but now the sales order of the material has incosistency in Procurement Tab : indeed the procurement type is KSL and not in phase with the new MRP profile ( the procurement type must be KSV ).
I can not change the procurement type in VA32 cause it is greyed ?
Is there a solution to solve this inconsistency ?

For report with material and workcenter
my client reqd a report for the materials plan order and production generate for the period with respective week in specific workcenter.
Hence for the plan order order and production order i am useing PLAF and AFPO but i am expecting a excelent tips to get a workcenter wise report .As for the materials defined with production version i am getting by production line but for non production version material how do i fetch.
Input will be plant and workcenter on the basis of that generated count of plan orders and count of production orders need to appear.

First give input as List = order Header , profile, select Production order check box alone & workcenter/plant/date & excute .
Then try with planned order check Box ,
This will give sepearte list for Both production & plant order.
u can use change layout option to design report output as u need

Difference between cost center for material and sale order

I'm having an issue related to profit center. Our business of Reverse Logistics Process is taking the wrong profit center which should be taken from sale order master data, not from material master data as currently. As a developer, I'm confused the definition of profit center in this case. What are the differences between the profit center defined in sale order and in material ?

SAP allows you to change the PC in the sales order... If you dont change, it adopts the PC from Mat Master
You can define substitution of PC for sales order in 0KEM and assign them in 0KEL... You can change the PC based on Sales Org, Dist Channel, Division, etc
For a more complex logic, you can also use an exit

How to stop Omniboxes virus from hijacking Firefox?
I don't know how, but for some reason this Omniboxes.com virus hijacked my Firefox and I can't get rid of. What happens is that it forces Firefox to always go to Omniboxes.com when I open it up. The weird thing is that it only happens THE FIRST TIME.
