Capture generated html output from jsf page in bean

Hi Member,
I have need to capture the html output coming form jsf page. means aftr rendering what html is displayed before user, we have need to get it in programm.
like if we use:
<h:dataTable......>
<h:colum>heloo</h:column>
</h:dataTable>
then their ouput will be:
<table>
<tr><td>heloo</td></tr>
</table>
and i have need of these complete line with <table> ......</table>
Please help me...
Thanks
Shailendra Kumar

Thnx for quick reply.
But i want to capture it in render response phase. May it will be possible??? Is render response phase is responsible for generation of HTML format?? If yes then how can we capture output coming from this phase.
URLConnection if fine but it still hit server once. I don't want that. I want to store page html format during its view preparation for html.
Thanks

    If I were to guess, I'd guess that your filename is invalid. How about removing all special characters (spaces, brackets, etc.) from the device name. Also, make sure your form was compiled for HTML.
    I haven't actually used the HTML driver, but these are general things you should do if you have trouble with any Central driver.

  • Calling a method in BPM Object from jsf page

    Hi All,
    How do I call a method in BPM object from JSF page? Is it possible to invoke it in a manner similar to invoking a method from managed bean in JSF application?
    Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Veronica

    You can use f:invoke (or f:invokea to with parameters)
    For ajax calls, you can use f:invokeUrl to get the URL to a particular method within your BPM object, although make sure the Server-Side Method property is set to Yes.

  • Way to remove HTML tags from a page-scoped attribute using JSTL?

    Hi,
    I'm using JSTL 1.2 with Tomcat 6.0.26. Does anyone know of a way to remove HTML tags from a page attribute, "${myExpr}". I would prefer a solution that uses JSTL only, but ultimately whatever gets the job done is fine with me.
    Thanks, - Dave

    I'm sorry, I don't understand your requirement. What do you mean by "remove HTML tags from a page attribute"?
    If you are dealing with a value of an attribute, it is most likely a String, and should be treated as such. The best approach would probably be java coding.

  • HTML output from Maven report

    Is there a way to get HTML output from the Maven report? When I do a site generation, I see pmd.xml in the target directory and a flexpmd.html file in target/site, but flexpmd.html is essentially empty. I don't see any configuration option for this. The "regular" PMD plugin always outputs HTML and the XML output is an option (although it defaults to on): http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-pmd-plugin/pmd-mojo.html#format

    Actually, flex-pmd-maven-plugin 1.0.RC4 understands this in the configuration tag:
         <outputDirectory>${project.build.directory}/site</outputDirectory>
         <targetDirectory>${project.build.directory}/site</targetDirectory>
    With this, "pmd.xml" and "flexpmd.html" are placed in the site folder, but "flexpmd.html" is replaced later with the empty site report template. So, no real gain here.
    Any ideas on how to integrate the "flexpmd.html" file with the site reports?

  • HTML markup for JSF page

    I have a JSF page containing both standard JSF components and custom components. In the page am able to trigger AJAX requests,capture the requests in phaselistener. Now what I want is to generate output for a particular div inside the whole page. This div in turn contains a JSF page. The HTML markup corresponding to the page has to be sent to the browser.
    (i.e) I need a mechanism wherein I can specify the name of JSF page,get the HTML markup for the same and send it across to the browser as response. Please guide me as how to go about it.

    Its been a week since I posted this query.Still no replies. Let me make myself clear.

  • How to Generate CSV Output from JD Edwards BI Publisher

    Hi All,
    I have a report "Critical Date Report" - R15611 in JD Edwards 8.11. This report has to be generated as CSV output from BI Publisher which is embedded to JDE.
    The purpose we want use BI Publisher is to move some of the data displaying to different place in the page(ex: Move the company address from top left corner to Bottom right corner).
    In order to achieve this
    1.We created blank rtf template and upload to XML repository using P95600 application
    2.Create report definition using P95620 application
    3.Here I see the available output types as PDF,RTF,HTML,EXCEL,POWERPOINT and XML,ETEXT(GRAYED OUT)
    Which output type we can use for CSV ?
    4.Execute the report definition of the critical date report from P95620 to get the XML source
    5.This XML source will be loaded into the blank rtf template
    6.From this point no idea how to design the rtf template in order to get the CSV output.
    7.We did design and output type as excel - but the result data is not in good formatting and alignment*(Headers and footers are repeating).*
    If any one has worked on similar type of requirement,let us know how to do or send a sample XML source,rtf template and how the CSV output will be. Or any document link present in Oracle site will be helpful. Please let me know if you need more details.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay,
    For CSV output, you need an E-text template (not RTF) that's why its grayed out! You can use Excel as output type and have (No headers and footers) , then you can open the file in Excel and store it as CSV. Does not always display correctly though.
    Why are you compelled to use BI publisher? you can use the JDE standard csv output report, (as is used by most EDI systems) of course this may involve a bit of customization if you wants the fields arranged differently.

  • Generating TEXT output from RTF template/reports

    Hi ,
    We have been working with XML Publisher for a long time now.. and we have come across some requirements such as
    1. Page break in TXT report output
    2. Page Headers after every 'X' lines in TEXT output.
    This was easily achieved with RTF template and PDF/HTML/RTF output, but not with TEXT output in eTEXT template.
    So we started looking into two approaches
    1. Generate TXT from PDF/RTF/HTML output(generated from RTF template), though it will addon to the time, but we are looking for this approach. We are looking for some JAVA api's which can help us to extract text from PDF/HTML/RTF while preserving the format.
    2. Pass the TXT generated by eTEXT template to our custom util , which will split the report in diff. pages.This will get complex as we recieve more and more reports.
    We have also tried hacking the RTF parser used in XML P so as to get a TXT output or using XSL-FO objects in eTEXT parser, but we could not get anything of our help.
    Does anyone have any pointers in this.
    regards
    Gaurav

    You can burst with eText and I have done it
    successfully.
    I don't believe pagebreaks are an option in eText and
    I don't think it makes sense either since your

    Also, if you would like you can use the

    easily to handle jcp. There is a an oa framework
    version I have developed but I haven't posted on my

    Thanks Ike for your reply.
    I agree with your points on TXT files, but in our case,the reports are generated in TXT format for the customer so we are looking for the above mentioned features.
    I have gone through BIP IDE and its a wonderful small utility which eases the task of BIP development.
    As I mentioned in my original post that we are currently processing the generated TXT report using a custom util. in JAVA to get the desired output in TXT again.
    I assume thats not what a JCP would do,so I am looking to explore that too.
    As I understand the process for report generation is
    1. Generate XSL from eTEXT template.
    2. Get the XML data from DB using XDO
    3. Apply XSL on XML to get the required template.
    If we are looking to achieve some customizations then we need to have the XSL generated with those customizations.
    In this case, where do we plug in the JCP to alter XSL or am I missing something.

  • Multi page recordset output from ASP page on Spry Tabbed Panel Widget

    I am using a simple Spry Tabbed panel set on my asp page to show the output from different ASP pages, inside the tabbed panels. The tabbed panels on the page under consideration (destination page) display the output from different asp pages (source pages). The source asp pages generate multi page outputs which are paginated on the source page itself and pagination links are displayed on the source page itself.
    However, we dont want to display the source page outside of the tabbed panel, but instead the output content from the source asp pages should show inside the tabbeed panels only. The first page generated by the source asp page displays correctly inside the tabbed panel. However, when the user clicks on the links for the next page generated by the source asp page, but which is being displayed inside the destination page tabbed panel, they dont display the next page inside the tabbed panel. Instead the source asp page displays the output outside the tabbed panel destination  page.
    Please advise on how to ensure that the user can page through the recordset generated by the source asp page by clicking on the pagination links at the bottom of the records, while ensuring that the output displays within the tabbed panels on the destination asp page.
    I am enclosing the source code being used to generate the spry tabbed panel widget and also updating it with the output from the source asp page. In this case, the code given below is from the main page containing the widget and the source asp page is "sample.asp", which generates multi page output.
    Please note that I am not too keen on using xml data sets output from the source asp page, but would be more comfortable with directly using the asp pages to fill the tabbed panel content.
    Please help

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var TabbedPanels1 = new Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels("TabbedPanels1");
    </script>
    </body>

    I fully agree that the problem does not lie with tthe tabbed panels.
    The solution would probably be first required to be tried using ajax on any div tab.
    Then the same code would have to be used on Sprytabbed panel. Hence, the following may be advised:
    1. Sample code for server side pagination and displaying inside any div tag and refreshing it using ajax. the update link would also lie inside the div tag which would show the next/ previous page without reloading the page.
    2. Then adapting the refresh technique using ajax in the Spry Tabbed panel using the inbuilt updatecontent method of the Spry Tabbed panels.
    In order to achieve the above, I am getting the recordset output in the tab content as expected. The recordset is also getting the pagination links from server side asp as required.
    However, it is also generating the following error.
    Webpage error details
    Message: Unterminated string constant

  • Help: No Parameters, HTML Output from Java Servlet

    I have a Java Servlet that reads parameters passed from an HTML form and displays them to another HTML page. I know the servlet is being invoked; however, I am not seeing any HTML output. Sending the output to a file reveals the parameters are coming in as NULL as well.

    throws ServletException, IOException {
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    String title = "Reading Three Request Parameters";
    out.println("<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 " +

    What happens when I "submit" from the form is the same form reloads with the query string in the URL: "http://localhost:8080/ThreeParams/?param1=1&param2=2&param3=3"
    Any assistance with either (or both) would be thoroughly appreciated:
    a) why the parameters are not being passed correctly to the servlet
    b) why the HTML output page is not displayed
    Thanks in advance!

  • RH9 - window caption not correct in generated html-output

    I installed RH9 and opened an existing project coming from RHX5 in the new RH9.
    When generating HTML Help, the window caption of the output displays "HTML Help" instead of the name I gave to the default window (in my case: "Rimses 5.6 Help").
    In RHX this was related to the default language in the Robohelp-project (Dutch in my case) versus the Regional settings of the PC.We had a workaround by adding in the HHP-file / Section "Options" the text   "Language=0x409 English (United States)".
    Now, in RH9, this workaround is not working anymore.
    I tried several things:
    - removing he workaround in the HHP-file
    - changing the regional settings of my PC
    - checking the project settings, html settings, default window  etc.
    Anyone an idea how to solve this in RH9?
    thanks,
    Natacha

    Hi Natacha and welcome to the RH forums. Have you tried creating a new window? I wonder whether the old settings are causing RH9 to throw a wobbly and by starting afresh it may give it a shove where it is required.

    are you trying to get the html of the same page?
    if yes
    in onmanipulation event you can capture the final HTML using
    DATA: httpbody TYPE string .
    CALL METHOD response->if_http_entity~get_cdata
      RECEIVING
        data = httpbody.
    or from some other page?
