Capture login id of a user and based on that get other values
I have worked on a module in which i developed some usecases
Now its integrated with main module... where the user logs in through the main login page
Now i need to capture that login id and use it in my usecases ... so that based on those login details i can get other values like user state, etc., which i can populate in the db through my vo whenever a transaction is done
Can some one let me know how to proceed on this

PROBLEM
Facebook login button does not create user and password for login.
We wish we could ONLY use facebook login button to allow users the account creation on our campus.
So we disabled the user creation webform.
And only out facebook login buttons that students can only login to our campus using their fb account in the hope that they dont share it (hopefuly)
AND
This is a problem BECAUSE if I publish events and capture leads ALL those users have problems creating their user account latter.
CASE IS
1.- A person comes to my website and leaves a comment. This creates a register with their email and name.
2.- Days later this same user comes back and clicks a facebook user login/ account creatio.
2.1 The page now shows that user name as it comes from Facebook. BUT NO USER AND PASSWORD information added to that person's register in the CRM.
So
If some one leaves a comment, register to our mailing list FIRST
and SECOND tries to create his account afterward. IT DOESNT WORK
Any ideas?

What is the "wheel" user and how do I get to be wheel?
I am trying to install some software that requires me to creates some directories in /usr/local, but when I try to do so it tells me that I don't have permission. So ... I looked at the directory for /usr and see that the owner of most of the directories is "wheel". Coming from my Unix background, I'd expect to see root as the owner. What is this thing called "wheel", and how can I become wheel so that I can do the things I need to do to install a new directory in there?

I may be mistaken but by default OS X does not have a user named "wheel." However, there is an group named wheel. Depending on what flavor of unix you are using the wheel group holds the root and other system administrator accounts. In OS X the only user in the wheel group is root. All other accounts with Administrative privileges are in the "admin" group. If you need to create a directory in /usr make sure you are an administrative user (in the admin group) and precede your mkdir command with "sudo." Darwin will ask you for your login password then execute your command as if you were logged in as root. Since the root user is a part of the wheel group the directory you created will belong to the user root and the group wheel. -
APC UPS and Mac OS X - Getting other machines on network to shutdown safely

Most APC Smart-UPSs will work with the Mac, you don't necessarily need to get such a big unit as the SMT2200I, it's probably overkill. You're probably better off going with something like a SMT1500 for your Mac. It's pretty much the biggest unit you can get without having to install a custom power line. You can set the shut down settings in the options to safely shut down your Mac if the power goes out. -
Restricting user access based on a site column value in a document library.
We have a business requirement to show the contents of a document library based on a value (or values) in the site column (or multiple columns). For example, my document library has a custom site column called confidentiality. This
will have values like restricted, internal and public. Now, based on the AD Group the user belongs to, I should be able to control the access to Restricted or Restricted and Internal files from the document library. We are using SharePoint Online 2010.

As i am the sole user of my computer i dont use my password, therefore to be honest i have forgotten it. Now I dont know how to get my password back and i cant delete the guest user which seemed to have put itself there. if I try to delete. It I am told i will lose all my files. Your Mac encrypts your password as it is entered. It is never stored "in the clear". It cannot tell you what it is, or even how many characters are in it. All it can tell is, when you enter it again and it encrypts it again, "was that it?"
So you will need to Reset your password, which changes it permanently, deleting the old one.

I have an ADF BC application written in jdev 10.1.3.3 deployed to standalone oc4j 10.1.3
When I deploy the application I use the enterprise manager to create the users on the security provider/realms tab. I then set up the connection pools in jdbc resources to use those users via the username and indirect password fields. I also set the minimum number of connections on the attributes tab.
I have read the following document but I cannot find any reference to setting up users, connection pools with indirect passwords or minimum number of connections.

paul schweigerI'm not sure about setting indirect passwords on the connection pool creation -- never tried it. It's probably treated purely as a lexical string, so may well be able to to issue the CP creation command with the "->USER" entry as the password.
To create realms, users, groups, etc. you need to use the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/jazn.jar utility: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b14429/admintool.htm#g1022417
The options for connection pool parameters such as min/max connections aren't directly expressable in the command. I'll need to look at the code and see if they can be passed in as non checked options via the factoryproperties. If not, then you can create a JMX client to use the MBeans that are created for the CP post deployment to change its behaviour.

How to track changes in a custom table and based on that run an interface
I have an interface. The pre-condition for running the interface is "Run the interface only if there is new entry added to the table( a custom table). Now I have created a change document object using tcode SCDO for the custom table. Now how do i proceed further. Please tell me the steps which i need to follow to check if the custom table has been changed and also the entries changed before running the interface.

They all use the standard function Module

User and password fields vanish in login window
Hi all
I'm scratching my head. I have a managed 10.7 client, bound to a 10.7 OD, for various testing. Set login window to show user and password text fields. Sometimes (but not always, haven't found a rule yet), there is a little left/back arrow left to the user field. If I click it, user and password text fields vanish, leaving me with a more or less blank login screen except for the restart/shutdown/sleep buttons. Nothing I tried will bring back the text fields, and the only option is to do a restart.
Anyone seen this? What should it be good for?
I thought that maybe this should be something like in Windows, where you have to press ctrl-alt-del to get the actual login screen to show, but neither cmd-option-shift-enter nor cmd-option-ctrl-enter have any effect. Nor does esc or ctrl-option-esc.Finally got the upgrade rolling again. Not sure which trick did it, But the last thing i did was this. I changed the password for the user SAP* using the configtool under cluster-data -> Global server configuration -> services -> comn.sap.security.core.ume.service -> ume.superadmin.password. Type in the value field, hit "set" and retyped it in again. Hit save, restarted the instance. I had tried this earlier under the single instance server. But that didn't seem to take effect.

WLS Users and Groups interface questions / observations
I'm new to WLS, having just installed OBIEE 11g for the first time. There are some oddities in WLS around setting up Users that I'd like to ask about, to see if I'm just missing something, or if the interface really IS this bad. Please feel free to comment in any way, or to correct any statements that are erroneous. Here goes:
1. The use of Previous and Next buttons instead of a vertical scroll bar for finding users and groups in their respective lists. What if you have several hundred users, and the one you want to modify starts with the letter 'Z'? That means clicking the Next button several dozen times. (Security Realms … myrealm … Users and Groups … Users) Not only is there no scroll bar, there's no search box either. The only way to get to a user near the end of the alphabetical listing is the Next button. Is that correct?
2. After adding a new user, what's the next most logical thing to want to do? How about assigning that user to Groups? So why do I have to click Next several times to find that new user in the alphabetical list? I don't see a sortable 'Date Modified' field for the table of users, nor a link to the "Most Recently Added" user. Nor can I assign groups during the same action as creating the user. In the example in #1, I might have to click Next several dozen times to get to the user I just added. Is that correct?
3. When creating a new User, immediately after clicking New, where is the most likely place that I'd want to go? How about the Name field? Right now, the cursor rests in some indeterminate location. I have to hit the Tab key 14 times, or move the mouse into the Name box and click it. The active cursor position does not default to the Name box when creating a new user. Is that correct?
4. I don't see a 'Create Like' button for creating Users, so that existing group membership can be easily replicated. I'd like to be able to add a new employee by clicking to highlight an existing user from the same department, clicking a 'Create Like' button, then entering a new user name and password, with all group memberships assigned automatically based on the source user. The same could be said for replicating groups. I don't think that exists. Is that correct?
5. I don't see a clean way to return to the User list on the page on which I clicked a user name. Imagine that I'm going through my entire list of users one at a time to set an attribute. I click on the user JSMITH and set the attribute. The only way to get back to JSMITH's page and select the next user list is to hit the browser's back button three times, or to click the Users and Groups breadcrumb at the top of the screen and use the Next link multiple times to find that page again. Is that correct?
6. I don't see a way to bring up a Group and assign Users to it from a list. It appears that the only way to assign a User to a Group is to access a User profile and click Groups. If we're creating a new group that has 200 users selected from a list of 500 users, that could potentially represent somewhere between 5000 and 10000 mouse clicks. It would be much more efficient to be able to bring up a group, then select its members from a list of users. That does not appear to be possible. Is that correct?
7. It also appears that when assigning groups for Users, the list of Available Parent Groups sorts the lowercase entries after all uppercase entries, so that groups that start with the letter 'a' fall after groups that start with 'Z'. That is not the case with the list of users. The User table uses a case-insensitive sort. Is that correct?
8. When I want to delete more than one User, and the ones that I want to delete are on different pages, there appears to be no way to select those users from multiple pages at the same time. So, imagine that I have 500 users, and I want to delete two users, one of whom is listed on page 48, and the other on page 50. I would have to click the Next button 47 times to find the first user and delete it. At that point, the interface returns to page 1, and I have to click the Next button 49 times to reach the second user. Is that correct?Hi,
Regarding your first question, you might want to press the "Customize this table" button, then select the maximum allowed amount of rows in "Number of rows displayed per page:" that would resolve some of the problems you're having with the interface. I do think this is not a great graphical tool, and there are some usability issues.
Regarding the adding of users to groups, it seems the way you describe is the only way of doing it, however you could try using a script instead of the graphical console, the easiest way of making it is adding a user to a group while using the "Record" button on the top of the screen to get a wlst script to use as a model, then create a new script with all new users you want to add/modify.

All users and settings lost on Security Update PRAM reset lost all
Just did a security update and on reboot, login window accepted my user and password, however, screen started to boot into normal desktop and would go back to login screen again. This would happen everytime.
Only option was to reset PRAM. Upon reboot, lost all users for email and all accounts are gone.
Can I rebuild the accounts without re-entering them all.Post more about your config.
What OS version
Is the machine stand alone or an OD master/replica?
Were your missing users in LDAP?
When you say 'lost all users for email and all accounts are gone', explain where you are looking to discover the missing accounts.
What type of backup do you have?
