Capture LOV Event on next page

Hi all,
I am doing few updates to the data base based on the value selected in the LOV. The updates should happen on click of save. I am not able to identify the LOV event after click on save as this redirects to new page. before the event of save i am able to use opagecontext.isLOVEvent method. If I am not able to identify, the updates will happen everytime.

At a time you can have Add row event or lov event so above condition you are trying to work with will never execute!! so check for separate if else blocks.

I am not sure whether this is the right forum for my requirement. Provide me the correct location incase this is not the one.
I have the following requirements
To embed a pdf document in a web page (build using asp.net)
Capture the page navigation events. This is to ensure the user visits the last page of the pdf document.
First requirement can be easily solved by using a iframe. But that will leave me having no control over the pdf document.
Hence I am looking for any control which takes the file path and displays the pdf document and the control also raises the events(next button clicked, previous button clicked, etc).
Any help in this regard will be grateful.

If I embed the PDF (containing acrobat javascripts) in a webpage, then can the javascript in the PDF communicate with the Web Pages javascript running in the browser. Something like pdf javascript function invoking the page's javascript function(to notify an event like Nth page loaded).

LOV Event Capturing

Hi OAF Gurus,
We have requirement to capture LOV events progammatically but on the way I am facing one issue while capturing LOV event.
Actually lovValidate event works as per its functionality and it gets captured when user enter value into th efield and tabs out but lovPrepare event doesn't get captured when I clicked on a torch icon and same is what happening with lovUpdate means both these events doent gets captured.
I have tried in many ways,also by setting Disable Validation Property:true and Use for Validation property:yes but stuck with same issue as before.
Could you please help me on this issue..Its on priority,..
Any pointers would be of great help.

Hi,
lovPrepare fires only when you click on the torch button. It is responsible for passing row level variable to LOV popup page.
Whereas when you (quick) select any value, lovValidate gets fired which is responsible for populating the variables from LOV page back to main page.
When you type a valid value in the field, we dont need to send data from main page to LOV page so there is no need to fire lovPrepare. At the same time, since its a valid value, we need to get other columns values and populate them in other formValues/fields in the row. Hence lovValidate even is a must.
What exactly is your requirement?
May be u can try having a look into Controller file linked to LOV Page (if it is present)

Capture LOV Change Event

Hi,
I need to capture lov change ( where user changes default value ) event and display it as an warning message ( ' Default value has been changed' ) on next screen. Can someone please help me on this.

Refresh the Business Graphics Data on click of next page event of a table

Hi Experts,
We are using Business Graphics UI element in Web dynpro Java to display a table data.
We are limiting the graphics data to 12 table entries at a time.
Now, I just want to know how can we refresh the Business Graphics data when the user clicks on the Next Page option at the bottom of the table.
This is applicable if we have more than 12 table entries and we've restricted the visible row count to 12.
So, for more than 12 entries; when the user selects the next page, I want the next set of data to be displayed in the Business Graphics UI element.
But I am not able to get the action for the Next Page event.
Please note that we are on Netweaver 7.01.
Kindly suggest as how can we achieve this functionality.

Navigate to next page based on lov selection

hi i have a situation where i have to select department name as lov and click button to navigate to next page and display information of that selected department in he next jsff page am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 how can i do that

ok timo is working now ,but my problem is now am not able to display child records of a child records when i try to navigate for second time.and another thing if i don't refresh the page after i make selection in lov and try to navigate i get this error
the situation is
1.on page load i select organisationname in lov and navigate to next page,and able to display organisation details and child records details and child records details without a problem,
2.if i click back and navigate back to lov selection,i make another selection ,i must click refresh and able to navigate to next page,but this time it only display child records,but anything link to child records is not display this time
3.the link is like organisation->org_address->address .in the second navigating am not able to display address but am able to display org_address

Keyflex value disappears from page when lov event is fired

There is a keyflex field and one lov field in my page. When i select the value from kff and after that selecting any value from lov item my kff value disappears from page.

How can I capture the event of selecting a listbar page item?

Is there any way that I can capture the event of clicking/selecting a listbar page item (not just selecting the listbar page) from the listbar activeX control in TestStand 3.0?
I was able to populate the list bar page with items, now how do I know if a user selects any one of those items?

Enkitec Modal LOV window too narrow - 'next page' button missing

Hi,
Apex 4.2, any theme, any browser.
Does anyone know how to set the minimum width for the popup window for this otherwise excellent plugin.
The problem occurs when the width of the data in the search results is narrower than the search bar at the top of the window. It truncates the search bar so that the button to navigate to the next page of results is not showing.

I also posted another issue on the Apex Plugins site - "A column headed 'Total Rows' appears in my results, showing the number of records returned. This column is not in my select statement and I do not want it in my results. Also, the 'Next Page' button does nothing when there are more rows returned than can be displayed on one page". Could this be part of the same problem?

I have developed one OAF page which has onw table data to show. The last column is Update Image icon.
Columns are like this: Eno, enmae, comm, address, salary, update.
On clicking on update icon on any row the corresponding Eno and Ename should be passed to next Update page and these two values has to be displayed on teh Update page.
How can i do that?

PPR event on Update Image would do the magic for you.
Go to the properties of the Image icon and select below
1) Action Type : fireAction
2) Event : updateEmp (This event needs to be captured in the page CO)
3) Parameters :
a)pEmpNo : ${oa.current.EmpNoID} (EmpNoID is the view attribute for Employee Number. You keep proper name of your VO attribute here)
b)pEmpName : ${oa.current.EmpName} (EmpName is the view attribute for Employee Name. You keep proper name of your VO attribute here)
c) Add more parameters if you want to pass maore
4) In processFormRequest of the page catch the event 'updateEmp' and forward to the next page

5) In the next page CO, get the passed parameters in processRequest using

--Do your other stuff on how to use these parameters

Unable to capture onClick event of htmlb:image in a controller

Hi,
I am trying to capture onClick event of an htmlb:image (which is present in my view) in DO_HANDLE_EVENT method of my controller.
Surprisingly, when I click the image, page does refreshes. But the event in not captured in do_handle_event method. Control never reaches that method. Whereas if I put onClick event of a button, it is easily captured in do_handle_event method.
Ex. code in my view is:

<%@extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb"%>
    <htmlb:image id      = "searchimg"

Now, the button event is captured, but not the image event.
Any idea why this might be happening?

are image and button enclosed by <htmlb:form> ?
Please post your of do_handle_event, where you look for the event.

How to make a template in Pages that wraps to next page

I almost always use my Pages '09 in Layout mode. I have a long document that I supply to vacationers on Cape Cod of all the gluten free restaurants and food stores. It's 17 Pages long. Because places open or close I am doing adding and subtracting of listings all the time so this document is in word processing mode so it automatically reshuffles when I add new places.
I want to brand it a little bit more and each page is going to have a small graphic and one line on the edge that is horizontal (at bottom of page) and one line that is verticle at the left side of the page.
I can't figure out how to do this in Word Processing mode. I can't move the graphics around like I can in Layout mode. I can put them in text boxes and move them that way to the desired locations.
However, if I add text boxes the text isn't wrapping from one page to the next.
I really love Layout mode is there a way to get it to take the over flow of text from page one and put it in the text box on the next page automatically?
I'm not sure how to do this project and I hope someone can give me a quick answer!

Reg : Cross browser issue while handling LOV event on KeyFlexFeild

Hi OA Gurus,
We are encountering issues on R12.0.6, JDev 120Rup6.
We have the following test case and code changes.
Requirement:
We have OA page where we have one KeyFlexFeild item and a normal LOV. Page items are part of one AM and LOV is in another AM.
The requirement was to make LOV dependent on keyFlexfeild. Test case is mentioned as per following flow.
1.     User changes cost center segment of Accounting Flex(Key flex) using Cost center LOV.
2.     Another LOV in the same page should be dependent on new value of cost center as modified in step 1.
Solution Implemented:
Describing in the 3 steps
1) Here the KeyFlexFeild is expense account. Whenever User changes any segment, we handle
‘lovValidate’ and ‘lovUpdate’ events on KeyFlexFeild in processFormRequest of controller.
2) Retrieve the value of cost center segment using getSegmentsQualifiedBy(), Update corresponding VO attribute of the LOV query parameter.
3) Forward the request to current page so that LOV will have modified value with updated query.
4) Forwarding to current page is must because LOV is built with another AM and will loaded only when page is built.
Issue:
This works fine on internet explorer. When trying to run the same in Mozilla we have following issue
1) User modifies one of the segments of expense account and make a tab – out
2) Now the page refresh happens
3) Now in the same page no other LOV or no other button works. He can’t click on any button for submit or cancel.
LOVs will not open even after clicking on it.
