Catlog Replication TREX 7

Hello Experts,
We have recently upgraded (technical) our SAP CRM from 4.0 to 7.0 and TREX from 6 to TREX 7. We have finished all the basic configuration.(XCM, SHOPADMIN etc)
When we execute our initial replication, it ran successfully and all the logs are green. We are able to see the documents being successfully posted on to TREX.
But when we execute the IMSADMIN to search for Indexes, we don't find any. Even in SRMO the index table is empty.
RFC connections are working. TREX is up and running.
TREX python trace do show Indexing of documents.
Please let me know if we have missed any configuration.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Vamsi

Have You activated the Catalog and activated the individual nodes and the products underneath the nodes?
Sometime if you don't activate the catalog, but run the catalog replication to TREX, this issue may come.

  • Catalog Replication without TREX

Can I replicate a catalog without using TREX?

    Hello R.N
When you say replicate are you meaning copy or publish ? If it is copy, you still have to publish to really use it. When you publish, you are creating and writing the indexes in TREX with some additional information in the TREX. So, publish can not be separated from TREX.

  • SAP ISA R/3 Edition problem with TREX

    Hi!
We are migration our Internet Sales (R/3 Edition) 4.0 with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 to SAP J2EE Engine 6.40.
We’ve already migrate your Java Basket data. And we’ve installed TREX 6.1
for catalogue replication and we’ve created a WEB SITE in IIS.
    We’ve created a B2B scenario and we’ve configured xcm for: b2b, Shopadmin
    and trexr3.
Apparently TREX is working fine... I can create and replicate catalogs, view the catalogs within TREX, etc. But I'm getting the following error when I try to see the content of catalog within http://10.125.25.57:50100/trexr3/b2x/admin/catalog.do.
Exception from the PCAT API: Index has not been assigned to this
IndexServer;location=sapisaqld01:30203,index=index_id1204052895687pindex(Errorcode 2004) Retrieval of trex index failed!
I've just updated TREX 6.1 to SP33 and the problem persists.
We can find the following messages within TREXindexserverAlert.trc:
    [01176] 2008-02-29 11:55:46.812 e indexserver TREXIndexServer.cpp(00632)
: ERROR: not assigned to index: 'index_id1204053610211pindex', function:'showIndex'
and when we try to see the catalog information within
    http://10.125.25.57:50100/trexr3/b2x/admin/init.do
    we get the message:
Exception from the PCAT API: Index has not been assigned to this
    IndexServer;location=sapisaqld01:30203,index=index_id1204052895687pindex(Errorcode

    Any hints?
    Cheers,

    Hi Dick,
Guess how I solve this problem?
Well.... I've reinstalled SAP TREX 6.1 SP33 and started from scratch.
    Thanks

  • TREX for ISA 7.0 installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.0 issues

We have just finished upgrading our ERP dev system to EHP4.  We have also upgraded our Portal with SAP E-Commerce to Netweaver 7.0 EHP1 and  ISA 7.0.  Both systems were on Windows Server 2003 and have been moved to Server 2008R2 through a System copy.  TREX was installed on the same host as our Portal/ISA system.
After the move I reinstalled TREX 7.1 v44 on the same host as our Portal and ISA 7.0 system which is Server 2008R2 with IIS 7.0.
Everything on the TREX side is in status Green.  I have tested the rfc and http connections. On the ERP side, I have deleted the catalogs from SRMO and re-ran "ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION" many times.
B2B still will not connect and I have traced down an error on the TREX side that I am assuming is the cause:

    Thank you,

    Hi Neil,
We have exactly the same problem. We installed a new SAP E-Commerce system on Microsoft Windws 2008 R2 with TREX Version 7.10.43.00. The TREX connection is okay. Also the catalogue replication works without any problems. The SAP support means it is a permission problem on the IIS. The problem isnu2019t solved yet and the message to the SAP support is in process.

  • Is it posible to use TREX 7.1 with E-Commerce 5.0?

    Hi All,
E-commerce 5.0 installation guides specifies using TREX 7.0. But We are facing issues, installing TREX 7.0 on Windows 64 bit platform as TREX 7.0 does not support Windows 64 bit platform.
Please can someone advice if we can use TREX 7.1 with E-Commerce 5.0
Scenerio is  E-Commerce ERP edition. with backend R/3 4.6c.
    Regards,
    Dipender Singh

    Hello Martin,
The E-commerce 5.0 guide for ERP, says that the minimum version supported is 4.6C with the specific patch level version. We had issues initially with the TREX 7.0 installation on 64 bit windows ( lot of modifications have to be done manually here).
But now TREX 7.0 is working fine and i can see the replication happeing from R/3 4.6C. We are configuring the webshops and doing all the XCM settings currently so, would be able to tell in a days time, if  it works for us or not.(with 4.6C).
    Thanks,

  • Transation type group replication

    hi
    experts
We are on CRM 4.0, E-commerce, ICSS
1.Do we need to replicate Transaction type group created in IMG for ICSS B2B?
If it is to be replicated manually can u please suggest me the process steps
2.Even we need to replicate the Product Catalog
We have tried to assign Transaction type group in Transactions tab of B2B Web shop
but we are unable to find our transaction type group created in IMG
    please suggest us further
Your help will be highly appreciated
    thanks
    and regards
    venugopalrao

    Hi Venugopal,
Please find below my answers to your queries.
    1. What do you mean by Replication of the Transaction Type Group? Replication to ECC / R/3 or TREX?
I guess you are maintaining the transactions in the transaction type group in shopadmin. It is necessary, but not mandatory to maintain the transaction type group here.
    2. So, what is the problem in replicating the Product Catalog? If you have any specific error that you receive, then please mention the same, else please go through the C14 Internet Sales document for details on Product Catalog replication.
In Transactions,  you will only your transaction type, not the transaction type group. Here, select your transaction type and assign the same here.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Internet Sales Catalog Initial Replication issues - SAP CRM 5.2

    Hi Gurus,
we are experiencing an issue during the configuration of the E-Commerce Internet Sales (ISA) for SAP CRM 5.2. In particular we are getting an error during the initial replication of our catalog to the TREX server (up and running on the same machine as the CRM server itself). The transaction is COMM_PCAT_IMS_INIT.
The error gives the message "No Staging Customizing Data Available (Message no. COM_PCAT_IMS001)". We have already checked all relevant RFC connections (FTP, HTTP and the TREX one), finding them correctly set. We also checked the target for publishing the catalog (in SPRO), setup with anonymous SAPFTP connection.
Can anyone help us resolving this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    Reward points if helps!

  • FTP Error in Internet sales during product catalogue replication

    Hi all,
I am configuring the internet sales for demo purpose on CRM 2007-IDES system, when i am replicating the catalogue to isa it gives error regarding FTP.
Please give me the idea if iam using internal system not public ip at this time FTP server required or not.
If yes then how i can install this software and connect with crm system.
    Please help
    Regards
    Apoorva

    hi,
during catalog replication the product pictures will be copied to the TREX server. The replication process uses ftp for copying the pictures. You can enable if you would like to replicate the pictures too. Try to disable this first and your replication should work fine.

  • Runtime error Raise Exception Initial Product Catalog Replication

    Dear All,
We are on CRM ISA MSA 5.0 SP8 & Trex 7 SP 30. Ours is a 3 system landscape. CRM Dev, Q, & P. Recently we added a new system in the landscape for Intergration Testing purpose. and its called as CRI which is a copy of the production Crm box.
I did all the post installation activitiese and did all Connections (sm59, srmo) between Trex and CRM. After the connection was made, the RFC, SSR are all working fine.
I did the settings in spro for the product catalog replication, created the ssr and then did a initial replication without document and it worked fine. I then did a replication with documents, I am getting a runtime error, RAISE_EXCEPTION. All the connections between the crm and trex box are working fine. everything is pinging, the FTP user has all the access on the IMS_DOCS_A5C folder.
Can someone please let me know what the issue could be?
    Awaiting a postive response.
    Thanks in advance.
    Warm Regards,
    Rajeet Mathur

    Hi Rajeet,
The intitial replication  transports product catalog data (for example, product items or text) to the index server. You can replicate all or individual product catalog variants. The replicated product catalog contents are transferred from the index server to the Web server. The product catalog contents are then available in the E-Commerce application. Multimedia objects are transferred from the product catalog to the Knowledge Provider Content Server and are subsequently published on the Web server.
As you said that after you put in the documents the repliaction gives a runitme error, I beleive the replication to the contect server is giving problems.
    1. Have you created templates for folder and assigned them to the catalog types for the attachement of documents.
    2. While replication are you specifying the Publishing computer ID  with the checkbox transfer Document content ticked.
    Check in these details.
    Regards,
    Shalini Chauhan

  • Index management in TREX

    Hello all,
We have a webshop running and are using TREX for the product catalog. The catalog is replicated from ECC using program ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION.
Something seems to have gone wrong since there are a lot of indexes on TREX where there should only be a few. I'd like to cleanup the indixes on TREX. This can be done from the administration tool, but then ECC will not be notified and ECC will expect indexes on TREX that are no longer there. This will result in unsuccessfull replications as the cleanup will not work. If I do the cleanup from ECC using SRMO, I'd have to delete about 1900 indices manually. This would take about two years of my time
The big question: is there a way to cleanup these indexes, and keep ECC and TREX in sync? A mass maintenance tool of some sort maybe?
    kind regards, Wilbert

    Hi Wilbert,
The admin tool in ISA you are using is owned by ISA, right?
That would mean you'd have to inquire there, if a mass deletion is possible - which it should, as TREX itself can handle as you can tell by the fact that the application-independent TREX Admin Tool gives you the option.
    Best,
    Karsten

  • Extreme long replication time for product catalogue to ISA

In desperate need of help! We are replicating the product catalogue to ISA from a CRM 5.0. Now the replication have been running for 114 000 seconds and it is still not done. Besides the time it takes the process fills the paging file, we had a dump before and changed the parameter “rdisp/PG_MAXFS = 65536” But once again after above given time the paging file is filled to 99% and the system will almost certain dump on us once more.
This is only the first of 10 catalogues that will be replicated so u sees the challenge!
Have searched sap notes for many hours without success…
Some facts, we are running on HP-UX 4640 (Itanium) with 4 CPUs and 32 GB RAM, plenty of disk. NW2004s with an CRM 5.0 SP10, the TREX is on a Linux machine but does not seams to be the problem.
    Anyone have an idea?

  • CRM50: Pricing attributes missing from TREX (PRC_PR00_004*)

Hello, we use CRM5.0 with ISA / TREX7
We are having the following problem:
In our dev and test system all worsk fine.
In our Prod system, the "list prices" do not show on the B2C site.
It was traced backed to this problem :
After replication of the catalog, when we look at TREX (SRSE) we can see what id wrong, the attributes: PRC_PR00_004* (PRC_PR00_004, PRC_PR00_004_CURRY_QTY, PRC_PR00_004_SCALETYPE ,PRC_PR00_004_UOM) are all missing from the TREX.
We also see this in transaction SRMO, in the "doc. attributes" area, we can see the same PRC_* attributes are missing as well.
The question is how do we fix this, such as those attributes are added (why aren't they there), so that we can get them replicated.
If you know which transaction/where to look at, this would be greatly appreciated and rewarded, especially since this issue prevents us from going live.
    Thank you.

Actually we found the problem finally.
PR00 had not been setup properly in the catalog variant (catalog management).

  • Error when trying to replicate the Catalog( Delta Replication)

    Dear All,
We are getting a problem after upgrade of Trex.
We have CRM 5.0 on SP8 along with ISA & TREX 7.0.
We upgraded TREX 7.0 from SP05 to SP30.
After upgrading the TREX to SP30, the developers are getting a dump
    when they try to do
    replicate the catalog (delta replication).
    1. When they go to Catalog Maintainance.
    2. Select a catalog.
    3. Then after maintainance,they choose menu -- > goto --> Replication --> Delta Replication.
    4. They get a dump here, Raise Exception(attached).
    5. Even when they tried to select Catalog again --> Start Replication --> they are getting the same dump.
Please help us in getting this issue resolved.
    Thanks in advance.

  • TREX Shared memory not initialized

    Hi,
we have installed TREX 7.0 on windows and there is some problem after installation. when we try to start the admin tool with "TREXAdmin.bat" we are getting a mesg like "shared memory not initialized. retry in 5 sec ...disabling shared memory"
and after few seconds in the same cmd console, we are getting "TREX-nameserver <hostname>:34001 not responding after 1 retries. giving up.".
feel that the nameserver has some communication problem. can someone please suggest any solution for this ?
      Thanks
       Sourav

I had the same error and solved it. Here is what I found out:
the message "shared memory not initialized. retry in 5 sec" is a symptom for a faulty nameserver start
look at the nameserver traces. If you cannot find anything, increase the trace level to 5. In case of HANA the trace level is called saptracelevel in /hana/shared/SID/exe/linuxx86_64/hdb/config/global.ini
in case of HANA hdbdaemon starts hdbnameserver. You can find this info in hdbdaemon's traces at tracelevel 5.
In my case the hdbnameserver could not start because the system was set to be a secondary site with System Replication and it could not communicate with the primary site. The reason was that jumbo frames were enabled on the primary and secondary site, but not on the switches between. So the work-around was to set MTU to 1500 on both sites.
