CcBPM - When we need to create Deadline branch?

Dear All.
Reffering to ccBPM - When we need to create Deadline branch? Thank you in advance.
Cheers

Hi,
Deadlines are used to end the corresponding open steps and proceed with either triggering an alert, throwing an exception or just continuing to the next step, depending on your needs. You define the maximum time given to a specific step to be executed in your process by using deadlines.
From SAP Help:
A deadline specifies the last point in time that the block can be executed. You can define a deadline as follows:
●      The point in time when the step or process is generated
●      An arbitrary point in time that you specify as an expression
You define how you want the process to react if the deadline is exceeded in a separate branch. In this branch you can trigger an alert for Alert Management by using a control step, for example. The branch has read and write-to access to all data within the block.
To define a deadline, call the context menu for that particular block.
The system checks the deadline at runtime. If the deadline has been exceeded, the processing branch is executed for the deadline. The steps in the remaining processing branches in the block are not affected by this. In particular, note that these steps within a block are not automatically completed.

  • When I need to Create Component

    Hi Gurus,
I have few doubts on EP implementation Can plz help me to clear all.
    1. When do we need to implement JspDynpage?
    2. When we need to create AbstractPortalComponent?
Using AbstractPortalComponent how to call a Jsp file?
Please help on these doubts. Thanks in advance.
    Ian

    HI Ian....
JspDynPage is used when u segregate the <b>controller</b> from the <b>Presentation</b>
    it represents the MVC architecture....
u have the <b>Model</b> to control data flow.....and jsp to present (<b>View</b>) and JspDynPage as the <b>Controller</b>...........
    thats how it works...
where as the Abstract Portal Component doesnt follow this architecture.....
u write the presentation sa well as the business logic completely in the <b>doContent() </b>method......
it depends on ur choice as to which method to follow based on ur requirements or business logic...
Now..as to call the jsp from an Abstract Component....u can get the HttpServletRequest  from the IportalcomponentRequest...and the use it to sendRedirect() to a jsp page....
    hope this helps....

I have ad Apple ID on my iPad , when I use the apple on my iPhone for the first time, I put in my Apple ID for the iPad, didn't work. Need to create a new one. Why? How can I just use my iPad ID on my iPhone?

    Hi kamfong,
    Went to Settings where?
If you want to use your exisiting Apple ID on your iPad, you need to:
    1.     Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and sign out the new ID, and then sign on the old one
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and delete the iCloud account, and the sign back onto iCloud using the old ID
You still have not indindated why you are saying that using your old ID originally "didn't work". What do you mean by that? Did you get some sort of error when you tried to sign on with your exisiting Apple ID?

  • Do I need to create loopback IP address on servers when using LD?

Beside ASLB mode, do I need to create loopback IP address for the servers when using Local Director?
Understand LD does not use NAT for IP address, so the server may drop the packet when it sees the packet's destination is not for its own IP.
And how to set the loopback IP on Windows servers? I can only create the secondary IP under the ethernet NIC configuration, and this always cause the two web servers to complain about duplicated IP address.

The case of the loopbacks depends on whether you run LDIR in dispatched mode or directed mode.
Directed mode is a form of NAT where the LDIR changes the destination IP address in the incoming packet to that of the real server chosen.
Dispatched mode is sort of like 'Layer 2 NAT' or 'MAC NAT', because the LDIR changes the destination MAC address but not the destination IP address. For the server to actually pick up a packet adressed to an IP address not configured on the ingress interface, it will need to have this address configured somewhere else, and this is where the loopback adapter comes into play.
It is true that with ASLB, you need to run dispatched mode. This is due to how the rewrite is implemented on the C6K (which is needed for ASLB).
Regarding the Windows configuration, you need to install the loopback adapter. How this is done depends on the Windows version, but basically you need to install the driver manually, as if you had added a physical adapter to the machine and were to manually install a driver. You'll find the loopback adapter under the 'hardware' manufacturer Microsoft in the Add Hardware configuration dialog. When the new 'hardware' has been installed, you can configure an IP address on it like any other NIC.
So to answer your question: No you do not *need* to use loopbacks when using LDIR, but this depends on the LDIR configuration.

  • When and Why Do We Need to Create 2 Diff iTunes Libraries?

    Hi,
When and Why Do We Need to Create 2 Diff iTunes Libraries?
    Thanks.
    Ed

There's no fast rule sayng you must, and I suspect most people only use one.
You might want to set up a second library if your first one is so huge that it is slow to operate.  Split your media. For example, I don't listen to classical and rock music at the same time and could restart iTunes ffrom a different library when the time came to switch.
I have a few extra libraries. One's for music I organized for a special occasion but don't really listen to myself and don't want it cluttering mine. I also have a special library for my mp3 player (not an Apple model) with its own set of files which match some in my main library but they are tagged differently to be compatible with the player's quirks.
I could also see having a different library for files on an external drive if you have some on your internal drive too.  You might, for example, have a bunch of movie files on an external drive that you don't normally need to have plugged in all the time and don't want iTunes giving you a bunch of exclamation marks if are using it to play your music media on your internal drive.

    Hi Friend,

    2) here i need to perform one validation that on save button, lines need to create when u create the header.header must have lines.
3)under save button i have written commit operatition, both line and header table having one common column called -> hid
can you please provide me some psudococe on this

    Hey,
You can implement the above requirement in both ways:
    1.Using EO
    2. Using PLSQL Packages.
    Using EO's
Create the below : MasterVO, ChildVO,  MasterChildVL
Create an advanced table with details region in it.  You can refer DevGuide for more info. if you want.
Make use of advancedTable : addRow functionality.  When you commit it.. data will be saved in both tables.

  • When I enter my password to purchase a song, I need to create new security questions. Whenever I finish making thm and submit them, a box says "An error has occurred. We could not save your changes." How do I make it go away?

When I enter my password to purchase a song, I need to create new security questions. When I finish writing them out and I hit submit, a box comes up with the words: "An error has occurred. We could not save your changes." What does that mean and how do I make it go away?

Potentially the issue may be the combination of actual distance and the presence of any Wi-Fi interference at the location of the AirPort Express that may be the culprit here. The bottom line is you would want the Express to be within a 25+ dB range of the Extreme to be sure that it can consistently stay connected to it.
For more details on proper base station placement, check out the following AirPort User tip. Please post back your results.

  • When do i need to create table spaces ?

    hi all,
i know that any database has one table space and one data file at first creation , but
when do i need to create another table space or data file ? do i need that when oracle tells me that there is no space anymore or what ?

    hi all,
i know that any database has one table space and one data file at first creation , but
when do i need to create another table space or data file ? do i need that when oracle tells me that there is no space anymore or what ? In oracle database, the concept of storage segregation is done by two ways, using the schema and using the tablespace. So assume that you have two applications . One is used for HR related work and another is used for Finance and both kind of data is stored in one single database only. So how would you maintain such requirement? There are two ways to do it. One, you make two different schemas for each of the application and call them, for example HR schema and Fin schema. Now, you can create objects related to each of the application in it's own schema and store it in may be a single tablespace, Users. But this is going to be a little problematic like what would happen if you have lost the data file of that tablespace? You would be losing the data related to both the applications. So the better option would be to use two different tablespaces and store the data related to each application in both of them.
Understand that tablespace is a logical structure only. The only thing that's physical is going to be those data files which are stored under the tablespace. So if you are just running out of space in a data file of a tablespace, you do not need to create another tablespace. Take it like this that if you are running out of space for your family in the house, you can either make a new house for them or you can even build a new floor for them. Which one would be easier to manage, the new floor since a lot of ground work is already done for you. And that's what is the case if you have run out of the space in the data file. For this, you can simply create a new datafile(building a new floor) or even extend the existing one(construct a new room in the same floor, if you have space) . But creating a new tablespace won't be something that you should be doing for the reason of space being exhausted IMO.

  • When do I really need to create indexes for a table?

Once I was talking to a dba in a conference.
He told me that not always I have to create indexes for a single table, it depends of its size.
He said that Oracle read registers in blocks, and for a small table Oracle can read it fully, in a single operation, so in those cases I don't need indexes and statistcs.
So I would like to know how to calculate it.
When do I really need to create indexes for a table?
If someone know any documment that explain that, or have some tips, I'd aprecciate.
    Thanks.
P.S.: The version that I'm using is Oracle 9.2.0.4.0.

    Hi Vin
You mentioned so many mistakes here, I don't know where to begin ...
    vprabhu_2000 wrote:
There are different kinds of Index. B-tree Index is by default. Bit map index, function based index, index organized table.
B-tree index if the table is large This is incorrect. Small tables, even those consisting of rows within just one block, can benefit from an index. There is no table size too small in which an index might not be benefical. William Robertson in his post references links to my blog where I discuss this.
and if you want to retrieve 10 % or less of data then B-tree index is good. This is all wrong as well. A FTS on a (say) million row table could very well be more efficient when retrieving (say) just 1% of data. An index could very well be more efficient when retrieving 100% of data. There's nothing special about 10% and there is no such magic number ...
    >
Bit Map Index - On low cardinality columns like Sex for eg which could have values Male,Female create a bit map index. Completely and utterly wrong. A bitmap index might be the perfect type of index, better than a B-Tree, even if there are (say) 100,000 distinct values in the table. That a bitmap index is only suitable for low cardinality columns is just not true. And what if it's an OLTP application, with lot's of concurrent DML on the underlining table, do you really think a bitmap index would be a good idea ?
    >
You can also create an Index organized table if there are less rows to be stored so data is stored only once in index and not in table. Not sure what you mean here but an IOT can potentially be useful if you have very large numbers of rows in the table. The number of rows has nothing to do with whether an IOT is suitable or not.

  • When moving countries, do we then need to create a new apple id?

When moving countries, do we then need to create a new apple id to purchase from our new country?
I have logged into my apple id in a browser (not itunes) to change my country details so that I can register my CC information to purchase from my new country. "Changing countries option" is not provided.
The only solution I can see is creating a new apple id for my new country.  Which means loosing purchased apps on my phone as well as not being able to access music purchased in my previous apple id (unless manually burning to CD and importing again that way).
Can anyone confirm or provide a solution to a common senario of moving to another country to live?
