CCTV via internet
Hi
I have just installed CCTV on a standalone DVR which is connected to our local network, How can i configure the DSL-G604T so once I enter our router via the internet i.e 84.70.80.224 I can see the CCTV which is 192.168.1.83 on our network?
Been at it for 2 hours and got no where so any help would be great
Hello again,
Let me give you a quick example -- forgive me if you are already familiar with how Port Forwarding works. Lets say that I have a DVR system which is connected on my private network and it has an IP address of 192.168.1.15 The DVR system runs a service which will let me view various video feeds from security cameras and this service runs on port 5000. This means that if I am on using another computer on my private network -- say a computer which has an IP of 192.168.1.10, I can fire up my web browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.15:5000 (note there is a colon between the IP and the port). If this works then I know the service is working properly. Now to do the port forwarding I just add the port range 5000-5000 (or whatever range of ports the service uses) and use UDP & TCP ("BOTH") and forward them to 192.168.1.15 and finally enable/activate the forwarding.
After doing this, from the outside I should now be able to use a web browser and pull up http://86.12.55.12:5000 (or whatever your Internet IP is with the same colon and port number). If all goes well it will work.
Some notes: The colon between the IP address and port number works with HTTP protocol (web browser addresses). If you use a specialized program to connect to your DVR there should be a setting somewhere to specify the port -- and then for the address you just type in the IP.
Also if you try to access your DVR machine from inside your private network using the PUBLIC internet IP some routers will not correctly route the address -- meaning it will only let you connect from within your network if you use the 192.168.1.15 (or whatever your DVR IP is) I'm not sure how your Linksys will do it.

Hi,
I've erased my hard disk via Disk utility via Internet Recovery mode and tried to install back Lion. However, it's not going through the installation process. Below is the log of the installation process.

Is it possible to have a VI "run when opened" when accessed via Internet Explorer?
I am trying to get a remote panel application to "run when opened" when is accessed via Internet explorer. I have multiple remote panel licenses on the server and the VI is Re-entrant. The application works well except for this issue. Having the VI "Run When Opened" via IE is very important to the user. As is, when IE opens, the user must click on the panel image once to get the VI's attention and then again on the start arrow to run the program. Is there any way around this or a way to simplify the process?
Thanks.
Solved!
Go to Solution. This is actually the intended operation of remote front panels, however, we can simplify the operation to meet closer with what your customer wants. Basically, if you were to always have your program run in somewhat of an idle state, you can use the Application Control>>Property node for 'RemotePanel.ConnToClients' property to determine when a user is connected and run the proccess of the program as soon as a connection is detected. When no connection is detected you could have the program run in an idle state. The attached screenshot shows a general way to do this. Have a good evening!

Connect Oracle e-Businss suite 11i or r12 via internet

We currently have e-business suite accessed by VPN connection from remote location.
I would like to know if possible to configure Oracle e-business suite that user can access them via internet.
Just as end users can access web based time card such as ADP site, where everything is located on ADP server and

I have an old Mac G5 with OSX 10.5.8
After a crash of my HD, I reinstalled the CS3.
At the time of recording I get a window with the message "COMPLETED REGISTRATION" and under "There was a problem sending the informasioni via internet" and still under three choices to "send back" and "records in a second time "or" never record "and I continue to choose the latter option.
Another problem is that in Bridge (version 2.0.0.975) I can no longer see thumbnails of RAW files from my Canon 40D that I saw before.
Should I upgrade ACR? which is the latest version supported on my Mac?
thank youSergio Bellotto if you keep receiving the registration screen then please try accepting the screen in a different User account.

Unable to access FTP Site via internet
Hello All,
Here is a problem that I'm facing accessing my home deployed FTP Server on Windows 2008 Server via internet. Below is the description of setup at my home.
1. I've a private network behind D-link DSL 2750U router.
2. I've forwarded Port 21 to my FTP Server in private network (FTP Server IP: 192.168.1.2)
3. FTP Site is deployed in IIS 7.5 with Anonymous access rights (so obviously no username and password is required to access it).
4. In IIS 7.5, FTP Site binding is set as "
5. I'm able to access my ftp site within private network (via command prompt and any browser).
6. I've registered a domain name ftp.tx-fr.tk for my FTP site so that I can use it from outside world and here are settings.
7. I'm able to ping this (ftp.tx-fr.tk ) domain name.
8. All firewalls are disabled for testing purpose (Will implement security later, once primary issue resolves).
Now here is the problem, whenever I type in ftp://ftp.tx-fr.tk in my browsers,
IE 9 and Chrome prompts for username and password, whereas Mozilla throws a message as "421 Login Incorrect".
Same happens when I use command prompt to access the FTP site using domain name.
Here is the funny part, when I'm prompted for username password, I typed in router's credentials (U:admin, P:admin) and I get
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" in IE 9, "421 Login Incorrect" in Mozilla.
Whereas when CMD is used to access the site, I'm able to log in using router's credential but none of the command executes
Now is there anyone who can assist me resolving this case?
Kind regards,
AniruddhaI would have ask in IIS forums: http://forums.iis.net/

If i connect an external hard drive to a time capsule, can i access this drive via internet?
If the drive can be accessed in local lan, then it can be accessed from internet assuming you have setup using one of the remote access methods.
See remote access here.

My Photoshop Elements does not start any more. It gives response "Photoshop elements cannot start or continue because of missing file(s). Please reinstall." How do I get the installing file again (I bought it from Adobe via internet the first time december 2013?)
Did you download the Basic/Free version?
I also thought the Trial period was as long as you needed!?
What is your Warranty and Return Policy?
You get to use VueScan for as long as you want before you buy it, so we recommend you test it before you buy it to make sure it meets your needs.
All sales are final and there are no refunds.
Isn't this a bit harsh? Naah I actually prefer to solve problems, and if I offer refunds, people give up too easily. If I can't solve your problem after you send a few Problem Reports (see above), I'm happy to give a refund.

How to publish a directory with datasocket to download the content via internet?
Hi,
I have a VI, which makes a long scale measurement, thereby producing data in several subdirectories. I want to download the main directory, which comprises the data via internet, e. g. by ftp.
Can I do this with datasocket? Do I have to set up a ftp-server or can the datasocket-server act as an ftp?
Thanks for your help in advance.
MBYou can write to an existing FTP server with datasocket. I know you can write text files, but I am not sure if you can use other file types. All you need to do is specify the URL of the ftp server you want to write to with the desired file name. For example, if I wanted to post a text file to NIs incoming ftp server I would use the following URL: FTP://ftp.ni.com/incoming/text.text[text].
You have to use the [text] extension to write to the file. Take a look at the attached screenshot. It will generate a sine wave, cast it to a string, write the file through datasocket, and then read in the same file and display it in a graph.

Lumia 520 "Remote wipe of user data via Internet"
I'm interested in purchasing a Lumia 520 and read on the spec site that it can do "Remote wipe of user data via Internet" (http://www.nokia.com/in-en/phones/phone/lumia-520/specifications/).
Is there any special software that I need to be able to do this (like have it connected to a BlackBerry server in the case of enterprise BlackBerry devices) or is it as simple as stated on (http://www.noknok.tv/2013/05/02/how-to-find-your-lost-nokia-lumia-running-windows-phone-8/) where all you have to do is log into windowsphone.com where you can erase a linked phone?
This phone will be used for business so in case it is lost I need the ability te remote wipe it. Our company currently has a BB server and we all have BB devices, but with BB not doing so well I was thinking of getting a Nokia.
Thanks.

So far so good. That's great news. If I could ask one follow up question though:
Would it matter if the same SIM is installed on the phone? Lets say the 'thief' was able to get into the phone with a different SIM (if the security was not setup correctly) - would the phone be erased based on the SIM that's installed or on the IMEI number of the device?
Thanks
If there's no data connection, windowsphone.com cannot access your phone to send push notifications and if push notifications fail, then it will try to send SMS to your phone.
I just tried to ring my phone after taking out the SIM card, it was connected to wi-fi and I could ring it.

Connecting ipod touch to internet via internet sharing
My MacPro was connected to the internet. My ipod touch showed that it was connected to the MacPro via internet sharing, but I could not get the ipod to complete the connection to the internet. I selected "Allow all incoming connections" in the MacPro system preferences>security>firewall and the ipod could see the internet. Success.
If we wanted to open only individual ports (or a range of ports) rather than disabling the whole firewall, which ports would we leave open?
TIA,

Connect mac - win XP via internet
Hello,
sorry if this has been answered, but I don't know how to find the information I want.
Is there any possibility how can I connect from my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard to my parent's HDD in PC with Win XP via internet?
Can you please give me an advice or send a link or so...
Thanks
P.S.: I'm just average user, so if there is some easy solution, I'd prefer the easiest one
Message was edited by: jakudoNot sure if this will satisfy your requirement - but LogMeIn.com will allow you to CONTROL your parent's PC without them being there (if it's configured as such). That would at least allow you to connect to their computer and ftp files to/from your computer (if you expose an ftp server to the internet), or to some other file sharing site that you could sync up with.

How do i sync a number of calenders instantaniously via internet?
How do i sync a number of calenders instantaniously via internet?
You can sync your calendars with Google Calendar - you will need a Google login but it's free: Google will not sync ToDos. There is information in their Help on how to do this.
Otherwise you might do better to wait a couple of months for iCloud to roll out - this will provide syncing of iCal Calendars and you may find it preferable to Google.
Incidentally syncing over the internet is never going to be literally instantaneous, but the delay is usually fairly slight. -
Aperture 3.1.2 no more stores imported pictures in projects. Downloded Update 3.2.2 cannot be opended. Actualisations only via Mac App Store. Is there a way via Internet-Download?
In the Window 'About Aperture' is below the Version: a No: 1530000.1
Are you looking in the "About" panel of your old Aperture installation or the Trial? The old version will show the licence number, if it has one. After installing a different version this chance is gone.
I bought Aperture 3.1.2 on March 2011 in the internet App Store.
If you bought from the App Store and not the Apple Store, your Aperture version has no serial number. Are you sure, you did not buy from the Apple Store? Then you should have received a serial number by email.
Can you give me a serial No
No, sorry I cannot. The serial number is bought with Aperture and only licenced to the person who bought it. -
How to get "Easy" access to my Time Capsule files via Internet?
Hello,
I like to have a easy solution to acces my TC 2TB via Internet.
I saw there is an easy way, if you have an MobileMe Account - but this service is since Lion, icloud and iOS5 not longer avalible.
Does anyone know how to get easy acces without DynDNS, FTP or other difficult solutions or does anyone knows a solution which will be avalible in the future?
Thanks
FloThanks for your fast answer.
But as mentioned in THE NOTE my TC is a downstream router behind another router. The reason is that I am connected to the internet via Telekom entertain 16000 with an DSL/Modem/Router which one I need to connect my media Receiver.
So is there a following solution which replaces the MobileMe Solution.
