CE500 CFS Disk is not being used at all

This is a new installation using WCCP v2. Even though the engine is registered with the IOS router and the router is definitely forwarding traffic to the CE, no disk space is being utilized at all and my savings is reported as 0. I've verified that the CFS volume is mounted successfully. Here is my current CFS disk stats:
Volume0 49.754 G 0 K 0 K 0 K 0 K 0 K
Thanks in advance.

This happens when you get a lot of disk errors . This is most likely the cause of the problem. Reconfigure the disks and reboot. Once the CE comes back up, let it run for sometime after which you could check if you are getting any logs on your CFS disk.

  • GPU not being used at all. (gtx 860M). Lenovo Y50-70 laptop.

    Hello!
I recently upgraded to windows 10 via windows update and did a clean install after the upgrade. Installed all the neccesary drivers etc etc. The usual drill. I consider myself rather tech savy.
After a few days of casual gaming with LoL i noticed that my Nvidia GTX 860M GPU was not being used AT ALL, only the integrated Intel HD 4600.
This was further proved to be right after I installed Path of Exile and kept getting BSODs each time after around 10 minute of playing with various error messages revolving around the file "igdkmd64.sys". I've tried completely deleting the drivers using safe mode and the driver cleaner program and reinstalling other drivers (ex. the lenovo driver dated 14/7. ) with no luck.
I've tried all the settings within intel hd graphics and nvidia controlpanel. I've also tried checking BIOS. No luck there either.
Both of the GPU's also show up in device management without any issues.
I also tried disabling the intel hd graphics within device managent which resulted in the basic adapters being used and my screen looks bad...  My current Nvidia driver is 353.62. I'll post some various screenshots here:
    Device management with both activated:
    http://bildr.no/image/Rjk3ZFpK.jpeg
Nvidia control panel with both GPUs active in device management:
    http://bildr.no/image/L3lYb1ZC.jpeg
This shows up when I try to check Nvidia display settings when intel HD graphics is DISABLED in device management. It basically translates to:
"Nvidia displays ettings are not available. You're not using a display connected to a Nvidia GPU"
    http://bildr.no/image/TS85TTZp.jpeg
My display settings options with intel HD graphics being disabled:
    http://bildr.no/image/ZUh2SVJV.jpeg
Can provide further information if required. Not sure what you need to know, but bottom line is that my GTX 860M GPU is not being used for anything at all.
i'm assuming that all I can do for now is to either wait for updated drivers from lenovo or to roll back to windows 8.1 (Works fine in win 8.1)?

More than a fix I think it has more to do with the graphics drivers and in some cases Windows 10 installation issues.
    About the Graphics drivers,
Try uninstalling the NVIDIA GPU in Control Panel > Device manager
Uninstall everything related to NVIDIA in Control Panel > Prgrams & Features
Restart the system and wait for it to install the NVIDIA GPU again.
I would also advise that you try older drivers, if they are available.
    About Windows 10 Installation,
I have installed Win 10 twice now. In my previous Win 10 installation my system was running slow, Cortana was not working and couple more issues.
In current installation, everything is working great till now.
What I did different in second installation -
I installed all drivers upgrades for Win 8.1
All windows updates for Win 8.1 before upgrading to Win 10
I downloaded Win 10 ISO and started Win 10 setup from a bootable USB (by running Setup file while logged into windows 8.1)
During upgrade, I did not Apply Updates for Win 10 (Selected the bottom option)
    Then windows installed normally
Updates to Win 10 were applied after installation.

  • Insane performance issue. GPU not being used at all for cropping.

I regularly record my screen and later open the resulting file in Pr and export only a square on it. I import the video, maybe cut away some fluff, and export, choosing to crop it.
The result is a painful ordeal that cripples my computer for hours every single day, where Premiere Pro CC uses almost 100% CPU constantly, but 0% of the GPU. It's really extremely slow. Other export tasks seem to be as quick as you expect them to be. But not this particular job, which I rely on every day. Very annoying.
There is simply no way that this is intended. The GPU seems to be made for things like this. Why isn't Pr using it?
I have 20 GB RAM, a very powerful quad core Xeon, a new Nvidia GPU, solid state disk, etc. Windows 8.1 Update 1. My computer is never slow for other tasks. This is really a very annoying issue as it makes using the computer nearly impossible for hours a day. For no good reason. It needs to use the graphics card to crop!

It just really annoys me that this kind of thing is ever turned off, hidden away and just... ambiguous.
Its hardly hidden away.  Its in the NEW PROJECT Settings page and first setting drop down option.
There are reasons why its an option... buts its ON by default on any new project I start.

  • Ultra low frame rates, GPU not being used

While using After effects during playback, I am getting about 10-4 FPS. With frame rates that low it's basically impossible to make any videos. I am using a desktop gadget to monitor GPU usage. I noticed that my GPU is not being used at all, 0% usage and only a few MB of memory being consumed out of 4 gigs of GDDR5. I called Adobe customer service and basically I was told that After effects only uses as much GPU power as it needs to. Ok, that makes since and If I was getting 30+ FPS then I wouldn't care, but it seems odd to me that After effects is running so poorly and not using my GPU. If my GPU was maxed out, then I would understand I need a more powerful GPU to improve frame rates, but since my GPU is not being used at all, not even a bit then I don't think it's a hardware problem, but some sort of setting that is not right. The only thing I could think of is that my HDD is pretty slow or that GTX cards are not designed to run Open Gl and maybe that's the problem, but I double checked the Adobe website and GTX cards are supported.  Also I downloaded some other GPU monitoring software to double check and both the Desktop gadget and the GPU software monitor show no activity. I am really new to After effects.  Thanks for help.

That's because it appears that you're using AE incorrectly.  I bet you're assuming that if you hit the space bar, AE plays back video like a video editing application.
    Well, it doesn't.
AE is an effects, motion graphics and compositing application.  It's designed to do completely different things than an editing application does.  Hence, it doesn't work like an editing application does.  For example, IT DOESN'T PLAY BACK VIDEO IN REAL TIME.  That's why you got that getting started link.  At least do yourself the favor of reading how AE works.
And for the purposes of this thread, it wouldn't hurt you to learn how to RAM Preview: hit zero on the numeric keypad and see what happens.  It's just one of the many basics you need to know before you jump into the deep end of the pool with AE.

If the external drive can be seen at all in Disk Utility, follow the instructions for repair here.

Mountain lion has killed my mac book pro. After downloading and trying to install, I am stuck in a loop of "not enough room to install on this disk" and not being able to access the old disk's data to open up space.

Nope. It just opened the installer and stayed in the same loop.
It tells me to choose a startup disk but the only option is the HD which it will not use because it says it cannot gather enough information.
Eveything was working fine until the mountain lion failed install.

  • Linguistic index not being used

I am using 10G database and am having an issue that my linguistic index is not being used during sorting.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Table structure.

create index TEST_IDX on TEST (NLSSORT(NAME,'nls_sort=''GENERIC_M'''))

    Query being run.

I don't think that's true, at least with the nls_sort function. I'm running into the same problem now, and I've traced with and without the use of the index, and it's definitely better with the index.

    Hello @JoBla,
Thank you for the information, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how you are wondering if your desktop computer's hard disk is caching is being used, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
For caching on your computer, you will have needed to install one of the following drives:
    1 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA
    2 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA
    3 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA
1 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA + 16 GB Disk Caching Solid State Drive
2 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA + 16 GB Disk Caching Solid State Drive
3 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA + 16 GB Disk Caching Solid State Drive
128 GB SATA Solid State Drive
256 GB SATA Solid State Drive
It is likely that this caching drive will be shown in Disk Management, which can be accessed by following this document on Partitioning and Naming Drives (Windows 8). It is important to note that an mSATA drive will not be visible in Windows, if you have one installed. You will also need to have Intel RST software installed.
    I hope this helps!

  • Materialized view not being used in the report

I have had a materialized view (MV) for a particular report. Recently, the report definition has changed little bit, so the existing MV is not being used by the report anymore. I copied the code Discoverer's SQL Inspection and recreated the materialized view. But still it is not working. Obviously, I am missing something at the database level. Does anyone have any idea? The database is 9i and Discoverer is 9.0.2. Thank you!

The SQL that you see from the Inspect SQL option will provide you with the SQL that Discoverer sends to the database. The database then may do a query rewrite to point to an available materialized view if available. This rewrite won't be seen from the inspect sql option. You need to check at the database level to verify if a query rewrite did in fact take place.
You may want to check the section titled "Query Rewrite with Materialized Views" from Ch1 - "Introduction to the Optimizer" in the Oracle9i Database Performance Tuning Guide and Reference, Release 2 (9.2), Part Number A96533-02, available at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96533/optimops.htm#37287

  • Target parameter is not being used

    Hello,
while activating the transformation, i get an error saying" Target parameter 0058 is not being used". I have checked all the rules, infoObjects etc. but still im not able to activate the transformation at all.
Eventhough the source field-target field mapping is correct, the system is throwing such errors. What could be the possible cause of it. Any idea?
    Regards Sucheta

    Hello Sarvanan,
What do you mean by "the respective field not having the Unit/Curr Objects"..?..some of them are of the type "number" whereas others are CHARS.
Everytime when i add some field i cannot re-create the whole transformation. There has to be some inconsistency as my mapping of source-target field is correct. I have also raised this to OSS but as usual they are taking thier own sweet time to reply.
Surprisingly the transformation got activated yesterday and the dataload too was successful. Today again the same ols problem of "parameter is not being used"..!!
still could you pls throw some light on Unit/Currency objects that u mentioned..??
    Thanks in adv.

The latest intel drivers only support UXA, so any AccelMethod option is ignored, as you can't set anything else than UXA.

  • Bought a Mac Mini.  at 18 day's old it started to lock up and not function.  Took it in and they wiped and reinstalled it.  Well at 24 day's old it's been sitting in the box not being used.  First and last Mac for me. But can I get something for the junk?

I have pulled it out of the box and put 2 Mac approved mem sticks in it to boost it to 8 Gigs mem and it still locks up and freazes..  So many people told me Mac was the way to go...  1500 dollers could have bought me a great pc laptop.  Now I have a wirless mouse keyboard and a mac mini (aka Brick) that allowed me to donate money to a cause that is helping buildings and companies out side of the US.  While I have junk..  It's still under warranty and I reinstalled the os after the new mem sticks.  Again.. locks up and does nothing.  What can I do with this?  Toss it in the trash?  Any info on what I might do with it.. Please help!

It would be most helpful if you updated your system information:
    Please reconcile the following
at 18 day's old it started to lock up and not function. Took it in and they wiped and reinstalled it. Well at 24 day's old it's been sitting in the box not being used.
... I reinstalled the os after the new mem sticks.
If your Mini is anything less than six months old it would be running Lion, not 10.6.1, nor would it have been necessary to "reinstall the OS". Any help that anyone can provide is predicated on your system configuration so it's important.
If you are running Lion then boot your Mini while holding the D key. This will load Apple Hardware Test which will enable you to test your memory. "Mac approved" memory is sort of vague, and even memory that is allegedly designed to meet your Mini's specification may fail. There few reputable memory vendors.
"Apple installed" memory is more meaningful, and indicates Apple has tested it and guarantees its function. Otherwise all bets are off with a claim of "Mac approved". You will have to verify that yourself with Apple Hardware Test.
If your Mini was running, or ever ran OS 10.6.1 for that matter, it is close to three years old.
You must clear up these uncertainties before anyone can help.

  • Index not being used in access path

    Hi,
I have been trying to rewrite a query which currently is taking almost 1min and 25 secs to execute. The database version is 11.1.0.7.
    The query is -
    SELECT COUNT(1)
    FROM TAB1 p
    WHERE p.ACODE = 24377
    AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB2 ph where ph.PKey = p.AKey )
    AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB3 phs where phs.PKey = p.AKey )
    AND p.rflag = 'Y';
The table originally didn't have an index on p.ACODE. So, I created this index and set it to visible and set the optimizer_use_invisible_indexes parameter also to TRUE. I set the monitoring on this index too. Even though I have created the index on the ACODE column, the access path doesn't use it. Can someone please tell me why this is not being used.
Below is the explain plan for the sql stmt and the usage of the index -
I have changed the actual table and column names -
    SQL> SELECT COUNT(1)
    2 FROM TAB1 p
    3 WHERE p.ACODE = 24377
    4 AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB2 ph where ph.PKey = p.AKey )
    5 AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB3 phs where phs.PKey = p.AKey )
    6 AND p.rflag = 'Y';
    COUNT(1)
    1
    SQL> explain plan for
    2 SELECT COUNT(1)
    3 FROM TAB1 p
    4 WHERE p.ACODE = 24377
    5 AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB2 ph where ph.PKey = p.AKey )
    6 AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TAB3 phs where phs.PKey = p.AKey )
    7 AND p.rflag = 'Y';
    Explained.

    Thanks Centinul.
I apologize for posting in both sections. I put it in the Database General too because I thought I originally posted it in the wrong section.
The index was not being used because it was doing the implicit type conversion. When I enclosed it in quotes, it returns the result within a second and it uses the index.(whereas without the index it takes around 1min 25 sec)
Here is the explain plan and execution time after enclosing it in quotes -

the actual names are 'scrubbed' for obvious reasons. Don't worry, I didn't name the tables in mixed case.

    Jonathan,
Thank you for your input. Forgot about this issue since ended up creating an MV since, the view was slower. But either way, I am curious. Here are the results for your questions.
    SQL> SELECT last_analyzed,

SQL>It looks like stale statistics from the last_analyzed, but, they really aren't. This is a development database and that was the last time around which it was refreshed. And the stats are right (at least the approx_no_of_blocks and num_rows etc).
No other data came into the table after.
    Also,
1). I thought I don't have any particular optimizer parameters, but, checking back I do. fastfull_scan_enabled = false. Could that be it?

SQL>As, you might have guessed, I am not the dba for this db. Should pay more attention to these optimizer parameters.
I know why we had to set connectby_use_union_all hint (due to a bug in 11gR2).
Also, vaguely remember something about the disablefast_validate (something about another major db bug in 11gR2 again), but, not sure why those other parameters are set.
2). Also, I have tried this

    SQL> alter session set "_fast_full_scan_enabled"=true;
    Session altered.
    SQL> SELECT MAX(edi_end_date),

    MAX(EDI_E     ORG_ID PARTNERID
2 rowsAnd this took around 5 minutes too.
PS: This has nothing to do with original question, but, it is plausible to derive the 'huge_data' table name from the sql_id? Just curious.
