Center Page Title with a bullet

Here is my CSS
I want my page titles to be center with a decorative bullet
to the left. I would like to use css to define the bullet. but I
can't get it to appear to the left of my title when the title is
centered. If the title is left then I just add 25px of padding to
the left, however since all the titles are different widths and
centered, I can't define where the background image should go
exactly.
#content h1#pageTitle {
color: #000066;
font-size: 1.4em;
margin: 0px auto;
padding-left: 25px;
text-align: center;
background: url(/common/images/bullet.gif) no-repeat 0 50%;
background-position: center;
}

Use a span tag inside the h1 (see below for code plus css)

  • Problems with French Characters in Page Title

    Here is the problem
    When using Duplicate Page and trying to set page titles with french characters (or other non standard characters for that matter such as qoutes) The resulting output does not display correctly.
    I thought a work around would be to us the HTML escape codes in the title dialog when creating the page  however it appears that Incontext then goes and attemps to escape the ampersand part of the escape code during save.
    so for instance when trying to set a page title such as Whistler Live! prépare la scène using the following escaped version
    Whistler Live! pr&eacute;pare la sc&egrave;ne
    The resulting HTML saved from incontext looks like this
    Whistler Live! pr&amp;eacute;pare la sc&amp;egrave;ne
    and the title does not display correctly.
    Incontext sees the & which is page of the HTML escape code and they automatically replaces that with &amp;
    How the heck can we set HTML Special characters in our page titles - any ideas?

    Hi Corey
    To answer your questions I am on windows 7 IE 8 and also tried in firefox 3.6
    backend is windows 2000 / IIS 6 / Coldfusion 8
    I am able to enter the characters in the dialog box but during the save they are altered
    I created a basic test page with nothing but the following code
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:ice="http://ns.adobe.com/incontextediting">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>test</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div ice:editable="*" >
      <p>Test test</p>
    </div>
    </div>
    <script src="/includes/ice/ice.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    </body>
    </html>
    saved it as test-characters.cfm (coldfusion page) and tested it out
    problem was still there however when I save the page as a .html file and test it out the problem is no longer present
    So the problem seems to only occur when using .cfm pages (even if there is no cf code on them)
    I am going to send you a private message with access to my test pages in case your inclined to take a look
    Thanks for you help so far

  • Issue with Muse CC 2014 page titles

    Since I upgraded to Muse CC 2014, all of my page titles are displaying incorrectly in the header bar of my browser. For example my "events" page is displaying as 'The Market ChurchEvents" at the very top of my browser - I can't find a way to fix this with the page properties of any of my pages. Has anyone else seen this issue? The site I'm talking about specifically is www.TheMarketChurch.com
    I "fixed" this on my homepage by titling the page title with a period so it at least displays as The Market Church. instead of "The Market ChurchThe Market Church"
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Zak
    Here's a screen shot using the previous version of Muse and the new 2014 version (all defaults accepted for a new site):

  • Page Title Bar Changes with 'Launch in new Window'

    Hi All,
    We have a strange situation where we create a page containing an iview with the friendly name on both set to 'test'. This shows fine on the browser title bar as <friendly name> - <portal text> - <browserinfo> e.g "test - SAP EP6.0 - Internet Explorer". All fine so far...
    However, when we open a page in a new window via the 'Launch in New Window' page property, the <friendlyname> reverts to the server name. e.g "http://servername:50000 - SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 - Microsoft Internet Explorer"
    We are on EP6 sp2 p14 and have implemented the change to the <portal text> to reflect our customer name.
    Any ideas on why this is happening ?
    Thanks in advance
    Rob

    Hi Siva,
    I have already implemented that change to the central configuration. This only relates to the <portal text> (Sap Enterprise Portal 6.0 by default), which doesn't change.
    What I need to know is -
    a) why the page title changes when you launch the page in a new window
    b) what I can do to stop this happening.
    thanks

  • Visualizing with the new iPhoto 11 version 9.5 a project (book) - center pages are overlaping !

    visualizing a project (book) with the new iPhoto 11 version 9.5  - center pages are overlaping ! What's wrong ?

    Post a screenshot of what you're seeing.  Otherwise Try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
    User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
    or with Lion and Mt. Lion delete the contents the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
    3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
    If you're running Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
    where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

    Hi,
    It depends if the WDJ application has made another navigation.
    History saves any navigations made by the user (TLN/DTN,etc) or navigation done by applications in code (wdDoNavigate, EPCM.doNavigate).
    So it can go back to previous view , or previous iview the user was at...

  • Help with Page Titles. please!

    I have recently uploaded our website using Dreamweaver and am
    a fairly new convert to this program having changed over from
    'Frontpage'. My problem is that the title of the page is not
    showing in the browser. All that is showing is 'Untitled Document'.
    I have followed all of the instructions in relation to
    adding/changing the page title to the letter but have not been able
    to correct it. Please help.

    It appears that you only have a single frameset file on that
    site. That
    being the case, you are done.

  • Problem with page title language

    Hi all,
    I have several iViews of level 2 and I need to navigate from one iView to another. When I do it just by mouse clicking in navigation area - everything is allright. But when I navigate by means of WDPortalNavigation.navigateRelative method - I have page title something like this: %12%A4%43%B3%34...
    Does anybody knows the reason of this?
    String [] path = {"iViewName"};
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateRelative( null, 1, path, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, null, null, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS, "iView title", null, "param="+param, null,true,true);
    I use local language for iView title, not english.

    I'm sending the files zipped yes. I thinks it's better like that. Isn't it?
    Yes.
    They are not necessarly using the same version. I will ask them to get the last one so we will have all the same.
    Perhaps that will help. You should also make sure they have the same Arabic fonts on their machines that you used for your file.

    FF29 on win7: the minimize/maximize/close buttons are MIA, as is the page title bar. I've restored 28 because Australis is driving me nuts!

    You should not have to restore the Firefox 28 release. There is a solution: Classic Theme Restorer. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

  • Unable to Center Page using CS3

    At http://www.theforrestproject.org/xindex.html I have spent many hours trying to center this page in a browser. I am satisfied that the text and horizontal navigation bar are centered about themselves but when viewed in a browser they are off-center to the left leaving a far greater space on the right hand side.
    Would it be possible to simply remove this extra space on the right?
    I would sincerely appreciate any assistance to rectify this problem.
    Sincerely, Ian Malik.

    I've cleaned the page up a bit...see if you can work with the code below. Copy and paste into new Dreamweaver document and save to your site folder.

  • Add Pages Title to result source

    Hi everyone,
    I've created a search center in a site collection, and i am trying to add all page titles of the all sites and sub sites within the site collection to a result source. what i am trying to achieve is when a user enter a keyword in the search box most relevant
    title of the page should show up at the top. I've selected 'local SharePoint results' as default but its searching on matched keywords in everything, page titles are not showing up.
    Please Help
    P.S i am a newbie on SharePoint

    Hi,
    I think there are 2 options available here.
    1. You can add a new query rule which prompt a top
    result block which searchs source named Pages (system).
         With this, you can get a result bock stick to the top which show pages result.
    2. Or change the ranked result for Local SharePoin Result
    promote pages result to the top.
        With this, you can get pages result on the top of the result list.

  • Center page spread

    I have been using Pages to produce a school newsletter. I would like to know if its possible to do a Center page spread. By that I mean have the middle page of the newsletter spread over the two pages. A photo or text that has half on one side and the rest on the other page.
    Thanks
    dave

    Great question!
    I just tried it, and using one image, it didn't work. It left the second half 'blank', with only the placeholder outline. So - no luck there.
    BUT! If you duplicate the image and then drag it into line, you can cheat it into looking like a double-page spread.
    As for text, I might have misread your question, but you can use the *blue arrow connectors on the text boxes* to naturally have text flow across pages.
    Alternately, like for a title, you might try the cheat method for images.
    Let me know if this works for you.

  • How do you make the title bar display different text than the page title?

    I'm looking for a way for the title bar display of my web page to be different than the text in the actual nav bar created by iWeb. For instance, I'd like the nav bar to just say Home for my main page, but in the title bar in the browser say "blah blah blah."
    I know there has to be a way to do this. iWeb has actually done it on one page already, but I can't figure out how. I think it picked up the title bar text from the first text box in the page. For instance, the page name in the navigation bar is "blahs for today" but the browser title bar when you open that page says "blah blah," which happens to be the first line of text on the page. The page title in iWeb.app, though, is "blahs for today." But if I look at the source code it lists title as "blah blah."
    I'm guessing I might be able to work around by making an invisible text box with the text that I want in the title bar as the very first thing on the page, and hope iWeb makes that the title bar text. I'd rather have a more correct way of doing it.
    Is there a way of doing this in the source code without having to change a lot of stuff?
    Thanks for any help.

    Richard ~ The key is the default Title box that iWeb creates for every new page — it's that which you need to edit, not another text box you've created. And to make the text in that Title box invisible, see here.

    How do I resolve it ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I see at least 3 errors
    1. <RegionRenderer> <encodeAll> The region component with id: pt1:r1 has detected a page fragment with multiple root components.
    the page fragment should only have a single component under the jsp:root tag. If you see more than one, wrap them in e.g. an af:panelGroupLayout or af:group component
    2. SAPFunction.jspx/.xml" has an invalid character ".".
    check the document (you can open it in JDeveloper if the customization was a seeded one. Seems that editing this file smething has gone bad
    3. The expression "#{bindings..regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "pePanel") evaluated to null.
    "pageeditorpanel" does seem to be missing in the PageDef file of the page holding the region
