Centering background image [was: I have inserted an image background...]

Here is the code. body{ background-image:url(backgrounds/MOMANDDAD.JPEG);}. what do i need to do to correct this mistake?
I have made an inline stylesheet on a html and put a background image in it and it will not center in ie8, but is okay in firefox 3.09. what is going on?

In the future, try to keep your subject brief: "Centering background image" would suffice.
Without seeing your site, image and other code, it's hard to guess what you have done so far. Posting a URL to the live page is the best way to get a reply.

Loop to detect which mc an image was dragged into and snap image to it

Hi All,
I have an 'onMouseUp' code that will snap a dragged image
into an mc target.
If I hardcode the target it works fine for that one mc
target, but if I
try to put it into some kind of loop to add the code for all
the mc
targets, it won't work.
If I hardcode it like it is, i get the trace "hello"
perfectly, if I put
it in a for loop, I get no "hello".
I could use a 'case' and hardcode all the eventualities, but
I was
wondering how I could do it more dynamically using a loop to
catch all
the mc targets.
Any help much apreciated,

You are in recover mode. You need to do what your iPad is telling you to do. Connect it to your computer via USB and follow the instructions in the link I provided. Be advised, recover mode often required you to do this multiple times to get it to work.

I have just purchased a Nikon D7000 and iPhoto downloads jpgs but does not show them. It shows an empty frame. If you double click the frame it will show the image. I have tried importing images from the Nikon provided software and the same thing happens.

I just purchased a Nikon D7000. However, iPhoto does not display JPEG images. I seems to download ok, but displays only an empty box. Double clicking on the box opens the image in a single display window. It does the same thing when importing from Nikon's supplied software. Forget about handling RAW files. Now, I'm having difficulty importing JPGs from Photoshop files for slide shows or use in iMovie.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Hi,
After you have inserted the image, you can use
Magic Erasor tool : Click on the white background area you want to remove. ( if the areas you want to keep does not have White at all, uncheck Contiguous from the options bar and click on the white( or any color) background area.
Paint Bucket tool: from the options bar, select from Mode Drop down, - "Clear". Check/Uncheck Contiguous depending on the colors, and click on the color to be removed.
Magic Extracter: Go to Image > Magic Extractor: Mark areas to protect and remove with not so refined and perfect strokes, and Click on Preview to verify that you have acheived the desired results. You can erase and mark your areas you want to protect and remove till you have the right areas removed. Once you are satisfied by the results, click on OK
PS: Make sure you have the correct Layer selected from the Layer's panel.

Why can't I insert an image into the header in Pages 5.0.1?

In previouis versions of Pages, I was able to insert an image into a Header or Footer.
This action does not appear an option in Pages 5.0.1.
Am I missing something?
I must say, I do not like the NEW interface. Much has been lost with the transition to the Cloud.
I like the concept of using my iPad Air and my desktop, however functionality has been tossed out for deference to the Tablet.

Use a "Floating Graphic" and send it to the Section Master in the Arrange > Section Master menu. Floating is called Stays With Page now. Don't worry about it not being in the Header field. It will serve the purpose.

Error when inserting the image in WAD

Hi,
I have inserted a .gif image in MIME repository and then in WAD template I have inserted a image and then when I ry to execute the WAD template, everything is working fine in the report but the image/logo is not displayed, the link is being displayed...
And a warning is displayed at the bottom of the WAD template:
W2 42:46 Tag '<img>' lacks 'alt' attribute
tag '<img>' lacks 'alt' attribute: Correct the Template in the editor
How do I resolve this error???

Hi,
check whether the "default_host/sap/bw/Mime" service is active with T-code SICF.
logo file name should be in lower case even though it is upper case in MIME repository.
(Logo path looks like this "sap/bw/Mime/Customer/Images/testlogo.gif")

Images not showing when inserted in RH8 topics

Hello all,
I am using RH8 for HTML on Windows 7. When I insert a new image into a topic, the image does not show. What appears is a small red square.
You probably want to know how I inserted the images. I create the image (usu a jpg file) in Photoshop Elements. Using Windows Explorer, I copy the image file into the Images folder for the RH project. In the RH topic, I click Insert, Image. In the dialog box, the image does not show up under the images folder, so I click the Browse icon to browse to teh image, select it and click ok. The image is inserted.. I can tell because there is a red square, and when I preview the topic, I can see the image is there.
Also, even after I have inserted the image, and it then shows up in the Images folder in the "insert image" dialog box, I still cant see a preview of it.
How can I get the images to show in the topic when i insert them?

When you generate your output, do the images show up there?
Can there be an issue with upper case / lower case filenames? Any special characters in the file names?

Problems inserting an image within dreamweaver

When I try to insert an image in Deamweaver CS4 - the browse to dialog box fails to appear, although a message stating: You won't see this element unless the view > visual aids > Invisible elements is checked and the preference setting for this element is on. - both of these appear to be on, apart from the message no image appears on the page, either in the code or design view, it does register under the edit menu as a 'redo image' or 'undo image option, also it strangely alters the document title to 'image' which reverts to its original title if you edit undo image - all a bit weird, help please!

Hi Ben thanks for the information, whilst I found it useful,it did not cure the issue which I was having when inserting an image. Thankfully this is a former issue which my son Jody managed to sort, not sure how he did it, I will ask and post.

Inserting table background images [was: CS4 DW]

Dear all,
I've have trouble inserting the background images in a cell of a table. When I was using CS3 I had the options of selecting BG color or image, as well as choosing the border color.
Right now in CS4 I can't even insert one in a cell, only color bg, and also editing the font size, color, type..
Can anyone advise?

CSS code uses a different syntax than HTML code.
With CSS you can use a background-color: #FFF or a background-image (URL). This can point to an absolute URL:
background: url (http:yoursite.com/images/bg-image.jpg)
or to an image in your DW local site folder:
background: url (some-folder-in-your-local-site/image.jpg)

How to insert cropped images from photoshop without the white background

Basically all I want to do is take a peice of writing from a video and insert it into another video. To do this I've took a screenshot of the font from the video and imported it into photoshop. I've then cropped/cut/took the the peice of writing I want, letter by letter. I want to be able to insert it into another video, but whenever I attempt to do it, I have the default white background of photoshop. Is there anyway to insert an image from photoshop, without taking the background with it, or even insert a layer from photoshop straight into final cut pro? Sorry if this is confusing.

I don't think so. I cropped the letters, put them each an individual file, removed the background, saved them as a TIF then tried to import them onto Final Cut Pro, but a white background still appeared in the TIF file. Basically I just want to make the background transparent I believe.

What is the problem specifiaclly?
If the images are intended for web use I would recommend converting them to sRGB which could be done with Edit > Convert to Profile or with File > Save for Web, but as including a Save step in Actions and applying them as Batch can sometimes cause problems I would go with regular converting.
You could also try Image Processor Pro.
