Certificate Authority has changed for Hotmail, is a MITM happening?

The Certificate Authority being used by my computer has recently changed for Hotmail.com. The Common Name (CN) changed from "*.hotmail.com" to "*.vo.msecnd.net"
And the Organizational Unit (OU) changed from "Windows Live Hotmail" to "GFS"
I have no idea what .vo.msecnd.net and GFS are. I'm concerned a Man In The Middle attack is occurring against me. Why don't the CN and OU contain "Hotmail" anymore? How do I fix this?

How to tell if column value has changed for use in workflow actions

I am using Sharepoint 2010 and for one of my Lists, I am using a general list workflow. What I need to be able to do is determine if a column value has change (say an "Assigned To" field) because I only want to take some action if that particular
value has changed. I want to be able to have a workflow action that would be something like:
If Current Item: Assigned To not equals [OLD VALUE]
I have found some web searches that talk about creating a duplicate list or duplicate (but hidden) column but that doesn't seem to be the way to go. I have document versioning set but don't if that can be used to help with this. One possible
thought (although I haven't tried it to see if it works) is to create local variables and have the values in the variables be the "old value". Just not sure if there is a best practices for doing this.

Not sure I fully understand your goal. We don't use "tasks" at all but if you are looking to have your workflow check certain valus and be able to send email messages to people based on whatever, then you can certainly do that (as long as your Sharepoint
has the email setup. We do this for alot of workflow tasks.
So, in the workflow you can have a blanket statement like what I previously listed:
if Current Item:hiddenStatus not equals Current Item:Status
    .... do something
or you can do something like:
if Current Item:hiddenStatus equals "In-Progress"
    .... do something
Else if Current Item:hiddenStatus equals "Completed"
    .... do something
or combine the two and do nested "if" statements. Then you add an email statement wherever you need it like:
if Current Item:hiddenStatus equals "Completed"
   then email "these users"
To add the email part, just type in "email" on the line where you want to add a statment. There is only one option to choose from. That will display the line "then email these users".   The "these users" will be a link. When you
click it you will get a popup to add the email info. We typically will send the email to a user (or users) that are already listed in one of the PeoplePicker fields. On the email form, you can type in your own text, designate that a value is based
on a column value (like our PeoplePicker), designate that a value is based on a workflow variable, add a link to the current item, etc. To get to these options you will click the button to the right of the fields or use the "Add or Change Lookup" button
in the bottom-left for the text area. There is alot you can set in the mail.

All,
I would like to understand what has changed in BOXI3.1 SP2 in comparison with BOXI3.1 base version for OLAP universes.
We design Universe on top of MSAS 2005 cubes and create webi reports.
Based on BOXI3.1 SP2 what's new document- the enhancements seem to affect the Universe Designer- providing a developer with more control and options.
I am interested in learning if the release has any features that improves performance of BO against MSAS cubes.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

Upgraded to IOS 8. iMessage has changed for the worse, losing messages now. How can I force iMessage to use SMS for some contacts?

SMS works well and is generally free for most plans here. I'd like to be able to send messages via SMS from my iPhone for many of these contacts because something changed in IOS 8 iMessage and now iMessages seem to get lost. Plus as before they can end up in multiple threads. This latter issue seems to be worse as well with iOS8 but not sure why.
For example one friend set up an iPad with her apple ID and subsequently gave it to her son. She also has an iPhone. I've been exchanging iMessage/SMS's with her which worked fine until the upgrade. Then she stopped getting my messages on her iPhone. Turns out that they were landing on the iPad. While it may be that she doesn't have things sorted correctly on her iPhone that doesn't change the fact that prior to iOS8 she could get my messages. So I'd like to designate her and a number of other contacts as SMS only.
Additionally I am seeing more multiple threads from the same contacts. Not sure why but it seems to have something to do with iOS 8 sucking in additional email addresses, e.g. @icloud.com and subsequently using these in some messages even though the contact is the same person. I've tried adding the new email address into the contact card I have on file for that person and this simply resulted in two threads with the same contact name.
Really what is up with this and why does Messages need to keep track of all this info? The only requirement to direct a message between to iDevices should be valid Apple ID's on both with a means to reference this (Phone Number, Apple ID Email Address) in the respective contact. In the absence of this the message should be sent as SMS.

I have the same problem on iOS 7.0.3. With one particular friend I receive iMessages from her just fine and I can send her iMessages from Mac OS X and Messages on iPad, but Messages on my iPhone keep sending her my messages as Text messages. I send iMessages just fine from the same iPhone. SFChuch, what ios version is your recipient using? Did they sign up on iCloud? I wonder if the problem happens with recipients who are not properly registered on iCloud or some special case like that.

Apple ID has changed for Itunes but not for the App store?

So I got the iPhone 4s off my dad, and I knew that I would have to change the apple ID to download apps and music etc
So I changed it, and when I go on to settings it says that it's my ID that is signed in and when I download music everythings fine
However when I try to update twitter on the app store it's asking for the password to my dads apple ID? It's only on updates though because I downloaded a game perfectly...

They should be the same - assuming that you used the same ID to buy the apps that you are using to update the apps - you should be able to update them. You use the same Apple ID and iTunes account for iTunes media purchases and for app store Purchases. If for some reason the password isn't working try this.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Make sure that the ID is correct on the iPad. If the ID is correct but it is not being recognized - sign out of the account, restart the iPad and then sign in again
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Then go to Settings>Store>and sign into your account again and see if you can download now.

Default file type has changed for Illustrator CS5.1 - Please help!

I am using Illustrator CS5.1 and have just noticed that whenever I try to open a new document (file/New...) the document is a PDF instead of an AI file. How do I change it back to AI? - Not sure how it changed to PDF in the first place.

How exactly are you determining the file is a .pdf? What platform/OS version are you on? What file extension (letters after period) is on your files, what format does your save as show?
If your icon is a .pdf icon and clicking on the file later opens in Acrobat, then your file association is not assigned properly. On a Mac Command I on a selected file saved by illustrator, and change open with from acrobat to Illustrator, then click CHANGE ALL.
There are more possibilities to why this can happen, please answer the questions at the beggining of this post should you need more help.

Safari Font has changed on some web pages

The font on my Safari application has changed for some sites including YouTube and Yahoo. Most other sites are unaffected, including Apple's site. The font is hard to read and I cannot figure out how to get it to go back to it's "factory setting" so to speak.
I've tried going to Safari on the status bar. Then to Preferences>Appearance and changed both standard font and fixed-width font to Times at size 16. This has not solved my problem. Default encoding is "Western (Mac OS Roman)
I don't know if it is related, but I recently installed a large pack of fonts to use in Photoshop. The problem started somewhat after that.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Without a uploaded photo of the garbled font,
I would suggest looking for Helvetica Fractions if
the garbled font has some numbers in it.
You may have duplicates of Helvetica, or Helvetica Neue
or Arial. The font you're talking about seems to be a sans serif,
so I would start carefully look at Helvetica and Arial (all subsets, too)
in Font Book.

Ibooks author font change

When opening up an iBA file, some of my text's fonts have been changed. (I did not change them).
The last time I saved my file, the text and formatting was correct, but when I opened the file again, some of my text is now messed up because iBooks Author has changed the font (from Palatino to Helvetica) and paragraph style on me.
Why does it do this? I have not messed with the file at all. Any ideas?

There several reasons the font could have changed. The problem might not be a bug or a corrupted file.
1) Are you working from the same template in different files?
2) Have you modified or reset the style on any default paragraph styles? (I.e., "body" paragraph style) What about any custom styles you created and possibly shared with another file?
3) Did you import any text content from Word or Pages,
Or
4) Did you copy/paste from a PDF or word file that might have brought over Palatino or Helvetica?
5) Have you opened files or templates someone else could have modified?
I noticed a similar change when I shared the same template between two different files. The problem happened after I modified paragraph or character styles in file #1, then found they had also changed when I opened file #2.
Depending on what triggered the change, one solution is to save & work from two different templates, so that cross file changes don't take affect.

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard "Certificate Authority Service" / Exchange Server 2010 EMC not starting and no AD connectivity for authentication.

I am a new IT Manager at this company and need assistance big time. Their environment looks as follows:
Server 1. Domain Controller Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) running active directory.
Server 2. Email Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) running Exchange Server 2010 .
* Note. No back ups to work with aside from whats mentioned below.
DC had a virus infection causing a lot of issues on the shared network drives 2 days ago locking up all the files with a crypto ransom virus. Running Avast suppressed the infection. Had to recover the file shares which luckily had a back up.
The issue is that the Exchange Server 2 post this lost connectivity with the AD Server 1. Exchange Server 2 when launching EMC could not launch the console stating the following:
"No Exchange servers are available in any Active Directory sites. You can’t connect to remote
Powershell on a computer that only has the Management Tools role installed."
Shortly after I found that it is possible the EMC launcher was corrupt and needed to be reinstalled following another blog post. I deleted the exchange management console.msc per instructions only to discover I couldnt relaunch it because there was
no way how. So I copied another msc file that happened to be on the DC Server 1 back to Exchange Server 2 and got it to launch again.
Another post said that it might be an issue with the Domain Account for the Computer, so to delete it in the AD Server 1 only to find that rejoining it from Exchange Server 2 using Computer>Properties> Chage Settings > Change is greyed out because
it is using the Certificate Authority Service.
I tried manually re-adding the computer in AD and modeling permissions after another server in group settings but no go. After this I was unable to login to the Exchange Server 2 with domain accounts but only local admin, receiving the following Alert:
"The Trust Relationship between this workstation and primary domain failed."
I tried running the Power Shell tools on Exchange Server 2 to rejoing and to reset passwords for domain accounts as noted in some other blogs but no luck as the Server 2 could not make the connection with Server1 or other errors it kept spitting out.
I also during the investigation found the DNS settings were all altered on both the Server 1 and Server 2 which I luckily was able to change back to original because of inventorying it in the beginning when I started.
I need help figuring out if I need to rejoin the Exchange Server 2 manually by disabling the Certificate Authority Service (or removing the CA as listed here:

Request Smartcard Logon certificates for more than 2 years from Certificate Authority

I have setup a Certificate Services in a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain and I request certificates via the CA webpage
http://ipofdomainserver/certsrv using the SmartCard logon custom template.
The problem is that my certificates are only valid for 2 years even though when I created my custom Smartcard logon I selected for validity period 5 years.
I read in documentation that issued certificates cannot have a greater validity than the root that signed them.
What and where I should modify to be able to request certificates from the template for more years than standard 2 ?
Ps: WINSC-CA is valid for 5 years. Should I generate a new WINSC-CA ? How ?

I was successfully able to create a root CA for 20 years, issued a certificate and login using smartcard using the following procedure:
1. I increased the CA lifetime to 20 years by using this link http://www.expta.com/2010/08/how-to-create-certificates-with-longer.html
Created the file CAPolicy.inf in %SYSTEMROOT% with following content
[Version]
Signature=”$Windows NT$”
[certsrv_server]
RenewalValidityPeriod=Years
RenewalValidityPeriodUnits=20
2. Renew CA root using this guide https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc780374(v=ws.10).aspx
Console Root -> Certification Authority -> select domain -> Right click -> All Tasks ->
Renew CA certificate
3. Delete from Console Root -> Certificates (local computer) -> Trusted Root Certification
Authority -> Certificates the *WINSC-CA that has the previous lower validity, and from
Certificates (local computer) -> Personal, the *WINSC-CA that was lower validity
4. I performed a reboot here
5. Change in Console Root -> Certificate Templates -> Smartcard Logon Custom Template (my custom duplicate template) -> Properties -> Validity 10 years
6. Change in registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CertSvc\Configuration\<CAName>\ValidityPeriod
to value 10 for 10 years.
7. Request a new certificate from CA webpage http://ipofdomain/certsrv and let the webpage write it to
smartcard (I was making sure there is no other certificate on the smartcard)
8. Try to log in. At this point it should throw an erorr that smartcard logon is not supported for this
account type. This is becuase we need to enroll it again for domain authentication
9. Console Root -> Certificates (local Computer) -> Personal -> Right click -> All Tasks ->
Request new Certificate -> Next -> Active Directory Enrollment -> Next -> Select Domain Controller Authentication -> Enroll -> Finish.
Now you should be able to login using your smartcard and 10 years generated certificate.
Though I have a problem at step 3, after CA server reboots the *WINSC-CA certificate with lower
validity is restored automatically, but the certificates are generated for 10 years.
What am I doing wrong ? How can I delete the lower validity root CA ?

For the past week or so, I have been unable to properly access my hotmail. I have a MacBook Pro running Firefox 14.0.1 and Safari 5.1.7. Firstly, hotmail asks me to upgrade my browser, when all are up to date. Secondly, when I am in hotmail, i cant send or read any messages because once I click on a message, i am redirected to "compose new message" before being redirected back to the hotmail home page. I can access some features of hotmail using Firefox, but I still cant send emails (I cant type any text into the message). Has Microsoft made changes to hotmail that now render it impossible to access from a Mac?

Keep in mind, you're using a Microsoft based email client on a Mac.
You may find it easier to setup your Hotmail account with in the Mac Mail application. That way you can avoid having to access your mail via Safari.
Launch Mac Mail. From the Mail menu bar top of your screen click Mail > Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Under Accounts on the left click + (plus)
Enter your name, your Hotmail email address and password then click Continue. Just follow the instructions.
When there is new mail, you'll see a red badge on the Mail icon in your Dock.

You need to populate that field using cmod code. Find out from which table that field is and go to transaction cmod then enter project name and select component radio button then display.
Now select the FM EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 if your datasource is transactional dataource
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 for master data attibute
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003 for Hierarchies
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004 for text
then populate code .
After your code then delete data from ods then reinit to populate the enhanced field.
