Certification Training Recommendations Help

I will be taking some training in the local area and I would like to go for a .net certification primarily focus in C#. I was advised to go for 70-511. I am concerned that 70-483 has replaced many certifications. In your opinion, would 70-511
be a good place to start for my first Microsoft certification track?

in my opinion 70-511 is a good starting point to get a grasp of Microsoft exams. If you're more an app developer (f.e. for Windows Store Apps) you should go with 70-483. It also depends on where you want to go from there. You should look for a certification
track that fits your needs (MCSD, MCPD, etc.) and then look for the best exam to start.

I think I will need to have my own access to the development tools for my training outside the classroom. I have found that there is a download: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Trial Version. My questions are:
- Is this download what I need to set up a development environment for training and testing the skills from these courses?
- Is there som other way to get access to working tools for certification training needs?
I will be very grateful for any info/tip on how to test Netweaver application development using ABAP.

please first understand the difference between a subject (your header) and its body line, please never write so long subject matter.
Now coming to your queries , what you thinks being at Australia or US is free of Cost. The first thing is that i don't understand your mission for taking Certifications, Are you a working proffesional because for more than 2 yrs. of working experience, you don't need any training , you can take direct examinations.
And if you are not a working professional, i don't thing taking any certification will serve any purpose in your job hunt, although it will enrich your Resume only, you will nothing get out of this from just taking a vertification
So, please tell us that you are a fresher or having real time working exposure in SAP SD module, then any one will guide you well.

Certification \ Training

Hi,
My boss is insisting that I go for some certification \ training either technical or in management.
I am into Java Programming since last 6 years, and working on the same project all this time.
So naturally I am not familiar much with the industry now.
Please suggest me what Certification \ Training to go for.
I have keen interest in Java \ project management.
I am also considering to look for a job in 6 months time, so would like to have some training that will make job hunt easier.

Well, assuming you want to continue programming and not go over to the dark side (management), and the programming your interested in is web applications, I suggest reading the latest book on JSP/servlets if you aren't too familiar with it. Then, read a book on Spring framework. Next, create a home project in Spring. I think that would be much more effective use of your time than a class and/or certification at the moment (assuming your boss agrees).
Also see my post at http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10786901 for an MVC project that doesnt use Spring (personnally, I think you are better off creating that project before getting into Spring).
As for looking for another job, I suggest you have several technical people review your resume and keep refining it over and over until it looks professional and clearly describes how effective you are as a developer (and not just list a bunch of technology). Make a list of contacts at your current work location so you have some network contacts. Read up on interviewing etc. In terms of your resume, you probably have a lot more experience in different technologies than you realize and you need to reflect that in your resume. Having others read your resume and asking you to further describe items in your resume will help you refine it and prepare for an interview.

MM certification training by SAP India Pvt Ltd Bangalore

Does SAP India Pvt Ltd Bangalore conducts certification training for MM module? Like any other SAP training partner. Since i couldn't find any schedule or any other details regarding that.

SAP usually does not provide standard courses on their own. But, they would be provided through the Partners, called Authorised Training Partners (ATP)
SAP provides new dimensional courses, niche subjects, customer designed training programs.
If it is MM, you should select the ATP convenient to you. They would follow more or less the same curriculum, hence, there is no much difference.
Please contact SAP Education India, if need any further clarifications.

So I backed up my system (i thought) to an external drive and downgraded my system to Maverics. I reinstalled all my apps. Now suddenly My Adobe apps don't work. I got the Licensing for this product has stopped working error. I downloaded the recommended License recovery tool, but it says it couldnt open the application because "powerPC applications are no longer supported. Please help! If you have OSX 10.7 or above you can try the LicenseRecover.py file. You have to open Terminal, type sudo and leave a space, then drag the LicenseRecovery.py file from the folder into the window, press Enter. It will look like this:
Enter your password to run it. You won't see the cursor move, just enter it anyway, and let the script run.
Then try running your CS4 programs.

When you deploy to the server, you are no doubt copying in the HTML
and SWF file. But did you copy the Standard.JS file at least once.
You need the standard.JS file in the same directory as the HTML /
SWF files. So copy over the standard.JS and try again.

ACMT Apple certification training in UK

Hi,
I'm based in London, UK and am seriously thinking of taking the ACMT apple certification qualification in order to become a
Mac Technician.
As I am reluctant to pay £2500 for the 8 day course I am thinking of buying the £209 technician self learn course
and then take the 2 (Hardware & software) exams at a prometric exam centre.
I have read all the info on the apple site but it seems to relate mainly to the US and not the UK.
My queries are as follows:
1. Is there any one out there who has qualified in this way and is working as an apple technican - if so how did it compare to taking an 8 day course ?
2. What other qualifications are useful (ie. essential) in order to make oneself more attractive to an employer ?
3. Is it possible to just take the 2 prometric exams in the UK after self learning (which only cost about £100 each) and if so where ?
I can't find anywhere so far where I can just take the exams in the UK.
4. What are my chances of getting work with just the ACMT qualification ?
(I have a great deal of experience as an end user using Logic and Final Cut Pro over the last 15 years, troubleshooting my own macs over the years and want to diversify my skills by getting freelance work)
5. How is it possible to self learn and take the hardware exam if you don't have access to all types of macs ?
(I have G4 powerbook, mac book pro, G5, Mac Mini) On the website it says you can self learn but seriously, is it really possible on your own ?
Hope some kind souls out there can help me with these dilemmas !

What does this include? The hardware and software certifications?
It doesn't include any certifications at all, per se. It includes the material to train you to take the Service (i.e. repair technician) Certification which consists of the Apple Macintosh Service Exam and the Mac OS X v10.5 Troubleshooting Exam. How effective the training in the kit you mention is I don't know since I've never seen that particular kit.
It gives you access to a bunch of resources on the web. Would this be worth the money spent on it?

would it be better to get the peachpit books and learn from there.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe that the Peachpit books cover the technician training.
And only take the support professional test. I guess what I'm asking is the technician training from apple worth it?
Again, it depends on what your personal and professional goals are. If you hope to get employed by an Apple service center as a repair tech, then taking the technician training and passing the tests would certainly be a leg up. If you are instead hoping to get into software support, server management, etc. then the other training and certifications might be of more benefit. If this is for personal use only and you're not hoping to find a job doing this, then the training material might be worthwhile but paying for the certification tests probably wouldn't be worth the money.

Windows 2012/2012R2 Training Recommendation

Can a Windows expert recommend some training for Windows Server 2012 and/or Windows 2012R2? I have MSDN license to both of those but no longer to 2008R2 which I knew a little about.
I'm a SQL Server BI Developer and trying to learn some SharePoint (PerformancePoint & PowerView specifically). I have set up a VMware player and run the Windows install. That runs fine but when it comes to configuration I'm lost. I can't get security
running so I can even browse localhost. Can someone recommend a resource to just get the basics of Windows server? (SharePoint too if you know one.) I'm not planning on becoming an expert on either and looking at Amazon I see books that are 1000 pages and
that's way to much information. If the book is laid out right, I could just read the first section but I don't know enough to evaluate the contents when they're listed. An online resource would work too.

Don't look at the professional who already in the market. Look at your vision and follow the steps to reach your goal. Certification will help atleast in screening of your resume rest all on your performance in interview.
I knew couple of em done their certification recently in SD and got into position.
Focus on SAP SD read the training material or get the training. Sure you will get it.
