  • Error : passing parameters from method to FM is empty ?

    Hello,
    import parameters are not being passed to the end ???
    i have a workflow with a task, this task is calling a method called METHOD1 and this method is linked to a function module FM1.
    The workflow is triggered by an even, so i did binding between the event container and the workflow container, and then between the workflow container and the task container, so METHOD1 has import parameters.
    when i debug, the values of the import parameters are in the source code of the program under SWO1 but when from there the system calls FM1 prviding the correct import parameters for FM1, the parameters are not reaching, when debugging FM1 i see that its import parameters are empty.
    Any ideas as to why this is happening ?

    Hello,
    thanks for your answers.
    Still did not work. Here is what i have:
    the workflow is triggered by the even "changed"
    so i am binding the object key from the event container to the workflow container, and then from the workflow container to the task container. the task takes a method that has import parameters, these import parameters are the keys of the object  that created the event. So when the task is calling the method, the import parameters have values, then this method exports these parameters to the function module, the function module have import interface, in the function module, the parameters are reaching empty, but when i am in the method the parameters have values. so why i am loosing these values once the method calls the function module.
    I tried doing pass by reference and pass by value -> did not work.
    - Yes i made sure that they are of the same types
    - what is SWC_GET_ELEMENT CONTAINER  and why should i use it -> No i am not using it.
    -the variables that i defined in the workflow container are set as , import, export and mandatory. - > is this correct ? i tried import and mandatory but this too did not work.
    Can you guys please provide me with more insight as to why this is happening ?

  • Getting Error in Crystal report While passing parameters (DB: MS ACCESS)

    I have been trying to solve passing parameters in Crystal Reports.
    What I have done is :
    I added Crystal Reports to my project,
    I connect to database using OLE DB (ADO) in database expert form (for your kind information; I did not create or add DataSet1.xsd file the Crystal Reports worked on below code with out parameters and I want report with parameter)
    I added below piece of code on my form load event
    When I try to pass parameter using .SetparameterValue function, report pop up with bunch of values BUT it does not filter with values which I want, Can anyone tell me that Am I missing something strange ? If yes please guide me
    Here is images Links : Dropbox - Creport error
    First Image shows my crystal report look, second image shows my DB connection and third one shows the error which I am getting while executing below code
    Please help me, I've been trying to solve this problem for two months.

       Private Sub frmrptProducts_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
       Dim cryRpt As New ReportDocument

       Dim crtableLogoninfo As New TableLogOnInfo
       Dim crConnectionInfo As New ConnectionInfo
       'load report
      cryRpt.Load(ReportPath & "CRproducts.rpt")
       'parameters definition(if any) This is the part where I pass parameters
       Dim ColourName As String = "White"
      cryRpt.SetParameterValue("colours", ColourName)
       'provide connection info. This is important and you can change it as per your db location
       With crConnectionInfo
       .ServerName = My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath.ToString() & "\data\db.mdb"
       '.DatabaseName = ""
       '.UserID = ""
       .Password = ""
       End With
      CrTables = cryRpt.Database.Tables
       For Each CrTable In CrTables
      crtableLogoninfo = CrTable.LogOnInfo
      crtableLogoninfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo
      CrTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crtableLogoninfo)
       Next
      CRV.ReportSource = cryRpt

       End Sub

    HI Don,
    Thanks for replied, I have come up with some different code and it worked,

  • Error when passing parameters in a link

    Hi:
    i have a report and a form. i've created a link that will point to the form from the report. So i've associated the link to a field of the report and edited it so that a key field in the form will be equal to a value passed from the report's key field. The fact is that passing static values works properly, but when passing parameters from a column it raises an error:
    Error: Unable to parse query (WWV-10200)
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 37:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'NO' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 9:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored (WWV-11230)
    Failed to parse as PORTAL - begin wwv_rptclip.g_row_object :=
    NO(wwv_rptclip.g_row_object) ; end; (WWV-08300)
    Does anybody know how to solve this problem? or why is the error raised?
    Thx.
    Regards. Urko.

    Also, is that a function NO you're trying to use? I'm not sure what that is, so it's possible when Portal tries to parse the sql string and execute it, it's not a recognizable function in the Oracle language or the appropriate grants on that function have not been made to the schema executing the report/form

    Hi,
    You have imported the wrong class for HashMap.
    Import
    com.sun.java.util.collections.HashMap; instead of java.util.HashMap

  • Passing parameters to Update page

    Hi,
    I created the search/create/update page going by the instructions in the tutorial exercise. My primary key is a combination of employee number AND sequence number.
    When I query the employee in the search page and if the employee has more than one record it displays all the records for that employee.
    When I click on the "update" button on one of the record, It is not displaying me the record on which I clicked the "update" button. Instead it is displaying me the other record for the same employee. I believe I need to pass the sequence value as the parameter, but do not know how to pass it. Can anyone one help me accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Al

    Hi,
    I created a new method(initQueryUpdate) in the VOImpl(here I am also setting the where clause).
    Also created a method(initDetailsUpdate) in the AMImpl and I am calling the vo.initQueryUpdate in AM code.
    I am also passing the parameters to method via a call in the ReviewupdateCO(am.invokeMethod("initDetailsUpdate", params);).
    It is compiling the entire jpr without any errors.
    When I Search an employee and clisk on the update button then I am geting the following error.
    I tried to pass parameters by putting them on the update button property with the action type of "fireAction.
    I also tried by making the actiontype "none" and putting the forwarding apge with parameters in the "Destination URL" property and still I get the error message when I run it. Any one has any clues.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ali

  • Passing Parameters via Post Method from Webdynpro Java to a web application

    Hello Experts,
    I want to pass few parameters from a web dynpro application to an external web application.
    In order to achieve this, I am referring to the below thread:
    HTTP Post
    As mentioned in the thread, I am trying to create an additional Suspend Plug parameter (besides 'Url' of type String) with name 'postParams' and of type Map.
    But when I build my DC, I am getting the same error which most of the people in the thread have mentioned:
    Controller XXXCompInterfaceView [Suspend]: Outbound plug (of type 'Suspend') 'Suspend' may have at most two parameters: 'Url' of type 'string' and 'postParams' of type 'Map'.
    I am using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.01.00
    Kindly suggest if this is the NWDS version issue or is it something else that I am missing out.
    Also, if it is the NWDS version issue please let me know the NWDS version that I can use to avoid this error.
    Any other suggestion/alternative approach to pass the parameters via POST method from webdynpro java to an external web application apart from the one which is mentioned in the above thread is most welcome.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
    This is purely a java approach, even you can try this for your requirement.
    There are two types of http calls synchronous call or Asynchronous call. So you have to choose the way to pass parameters in post method based on the http call.
    if it is synchronous means, collect all the values from users/parameters using UI element eg: form and pass all the values via form to the next page is nothing but your web application url.
    If it is Asynchronous  means, write a http client in java and integrate the same with your custom code and you can find an option for sending parameters in post method.
    here you go and find the way to implement Asynchronous  scenario,

  • Passing Parameters using key mapping in web envirnment

    if I use the url for passing parameters directly to report as
    http://appserver/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?report=inv.rep+server=server=repserver+userid=scott/tiger@db+param1=1+param2=2+DESTYPE etc;
    it works fine but Now the problem is I m using key mapping to hide username and password for this the url is
    http://appserver/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?mapkey+report=inv.rep+server=repserver+param1=1+param2=2;
    where mapkey is defined in CGIcmd.dat file as
    mapkey := scott/tiger@db
    I have checked by rearranging the order of paramerters but still get error.
    Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified.
    but I m mentioning the server name as server=repserver
    Hope to get it soon
    Thnx in advance

    You key defined in the cgicmd.dat file should be:
    mapkey := userid=scott/tiger@db *
    You need parameter name 'userid=' before scott, and need space character and '*' in the line. Without '*', cgi won't take any more parameter from the URL after the key, so '+report=inv.rep+server=repserver+param1=1+param2=2' is ignored if there is no '*' for mapkey.

  • OBIEE 11G - Issue passing parameters between two reports

    Hi folks,
    I am struggling to pass parameters between two reports in OBIEE 11G.
    My first report contains the following columns: Rolling Year Type (VCHAR), Year(VCHAR), Month(VCHAR), Cost(Double).
    My second report contains the following columns: Rolling Year Type(VCHAR), Year(VCHAR), Month(VCHAR), Category(VCHAR), Cost(Double).
    My requirement is to pass the Rolling Year Type, Year and Month values from report 1 to report 2.
    On the Month column properties of report 1, I have created an Action Link called 'Drill to Category'. I have clicked on 'Navigate to BI Content' and selected Report 2.
    Then on Report 2, I have included three filters: Rolling Year Type is prompted, Year is prompted, Month is promted.
    When I run the report I always get the following error:
    The specified criteria didn't result in any data. This is often caused by applying filters and/or selections that are too restrictive or that contain incorrect values. Please check your Analysis Filters and try again. The filters currently being applied are shown below.
    When I check the cursor cache, the filter values are correct. Does anybody have any idea why Report 2 does not display?
    When I remove the Month filter, the report works correctly.
    I have since changed the third filter to be Month No and although Report 2 does display, it does not pick up the filter on the Month No.
    I initially thought this may have been a caching issue and so I have disabled BI Server Cache but this does not fix my problem.
    This was never an issue on OBIEE 10G as I found it very easy to navigate between two requests.
    Has anyone else experienced problems with passing parameters between two request in 11G?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gavin

    Hi,
    I once tried this kind of requirement(with dashboard prompts though) and hit at similar issue. I later found out that the problem is with the space in the parameter values. Can you please let me know, if the same is the case with you?
    Suppose the parameter passed is "Jan 2010", but the report on the destination takes the value as "Jan" & "2010". Yes, it kind of split the parameter value to two based on space. I think we can notice the filters the destination report got, by enabling filter view.
    In this case, since you pass only value at a time, could you try placing the parameter value anyway in double quotes? I think the Server then will understand it as one value.
    Thank you,
    Dhar

  • Passing Parameters in a URL to Reports - Need Help Urgently !

    I have created Image Maps (content area) where I pass parameters in the URL as follows :
    <area shape="rect" coords="335,66,528,83" href="http://townland:7778/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.RPT_SUMKWH.show_parms?meter=PMS 11BBA01">
    <area shape="rect" coords="400,55,600,90" href="http://townland:7778/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.RPT_SUMKWH.show_parms?meter=PMS 11BBA02">
    I am having a problem passing this meter parameter to the report [I am generating this report (RPT_SUMKWH) using SQL Query] :
    I have tried the following :
    1) I tried referencing this parameter in the 'Additional PL/SQL code, before displaying page' section of my Report as :- wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('meter', 'RPT_SUMKWH')
    but this did not work (this made the package body invalid).
    2) I then tried using the meter parameter as a bind variable in my SELECT Query of the Report, then, in the 'Customisation Form' section, I place :- wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('meter', 'RPT_SUMKWH') under Default Value, however, when I go back to my Image Map content area & ty to click on the URL, I get an error "Page does not display" .
    How do I then pass this parameter to my report, where do I place the code to make the call for the parameter being passed from the Image Map URL in the content area??
    AVD

    Hi,
    You will have to encode your parameter value. The problem is because of the spaces in the value. Whenever there any special
    characters in the value it should be encoded.
    example
    select '<area shape="rect" coords="335,66,528,83" href="http://townland:7778/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.RPT_SUMKWH.show_parms?meter='||
    <portal_schema>.wwutl_htf.url_encode('PMS 11BBA01')||'">pams</a>' url
    from meters
    The above is just an example. Please change the names to suit your requirements.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

    Hi,
    You cannot generate items dynamically at runtime. The only thing you can do is show and hide item on time. Thay seems that they are generated at run time. Second thing you can do is that you can put items on stack canvas and set visible property of stack canvas to no and at run time set it to visible according to ur condition. Otherwise there is no way. If you find any other way, plz do inform here also.

  • Passing parameters in a html page using xwd_tmppg.create

    We are in the initial stage of Developing a OLAP Web Application using
    Oracle Express Web Agent 6.3.2,Oracle Express Administrator6.3.2.
    Flow of our screens are:-
    We have a login screen that authenticates user entry to access his assigned role screen.Based on the role the user selects we will be listing out the analysis in a screen that the user could access.
    Express Programs are used to create Role and Analysis screen.
    User logged information is passed from login to role screen and to
    analysis screen using XWD_APPPG.CREATE that accepts parameters.
    Moreover this function can only be used to create html page with out
    data views.
    Now let us come to our problem-
    We need to take the user from analysis screen to detailed data view screen that shows the OLAP cube with a back & exit button.As explained earlier you need to use the function XWD_TMPPG.CREATE to create dataview.It is not possible to pass parameters through this function.This function accepts .html as the only parameter.But we need to pass the userid info to get back to analysis screen for the user to select the next analysis.I need the user logged info available in the template file.
    Is there any solution for this problem or any other approach to capture the user logged info in the template file???

    Hi Aneel,
    Thanks for your informative suggestion on how to receive data from
    previous page on to the template page using LOCATION.SEARCH.SUBSTRING
    function.
    I could very successfully get the userid information by implementing
    this method within the SCRIPT boundary.
    I also want to pass this value to a express program embedded
    within the <!--EXPRESS call foot(userid)--> so that it will enable the
    user to go back to List of analysis page.her my footer program will
    inturn call the Analysis Page with the userid information.That's my
    whole idea.
    I tried the following methods to acieve my end result-
    1)Tried to store the value in a local variable in the template & passed
    it to the express program -- Error thrown was "userid is not attached in
    the database"
    2)Directly specifed location.search.sunstring in the express program..
    Still the same error was thrown
    3)Thought of storing the value in the name of hidden object .Still this
    will not work out because i need to declare the object in the FORM..
    Moreover the value is avialable wihin the JAVA SCRIPT range.Out of this
    range template is not able to identify this value.
    Any idea Aneel form your end.
    Can you let me know how to use hidden object in achieving the result.
    I have been working very hard for quite sometime.
    Advance thanks.

  • How to pass parameters to reports

    Hi,
    I am a new user to dev2000, i am struck at passing parameters to the reports, i have used lexical referrences, to the where clause, in the query that i have written in reports builder. It created a user_parameter of that where_clause. now i am trying to pass this parameter, from the form to generate a report btw'n dates. please sugest me if there is any other way, or correct me if i am on the right path, here is the code that i am calling from the form.
    DECLARE
    pl_id ParamList;
    --repid REPORT_OBJECT;
    --v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
    BEGIN
    pl_id := Get_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
    IF NOT Id_Null(pl_id) THEN
    Destroy_Parameter_List( pl_id );
    END IF;
    pl_id := Create_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
    Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'WHERE_CLAUSE', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'WHERE SYS_DATE = ''18-JUL-01''');
    --repid := find_report_object('report34');
    --v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
    Run_Product(REPORTS, 'REPORT34', ASYNCHRONOUS, BATCH,
    FILESYSTEM, pl_id,NULL);
    END ;
    I am gettting an error saying FRM-41211: Integration error:ssl failure running another product.
    this error is comming when i try to access for the first time, and
    Starting report REPORT34 [Tue Jul 24 16:35:14 2001] ...
    REP-0110: Unable to open file 'REPORT34'.
    REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
    REP-0110: Unable to open file 'REPORT34'.
    End report REPORT34 [Tue Jul 24 16:35:20 2001].
    this for the next time, with out closing runtime env.
    If i have to use RUN_REPORT_OBJECT how can i pass parameters to reports.
    Another thing i encountered is when i am using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT which is working it shows me the parameter form of the reports and when i click on run report, it is just creating a file under forms directory and asking each time when i run report wether to replace it or not and from where it is calling the printer object and actually nothing is being printed, and every thing is fine with the printer and it is not showing the report out put and it shows end of report in the log file of the background report product.

    For your 1st problem it seems to be a bug in Forms 6i - you can visit this site:
    http://pipetalk.revealnet.com/~plsql/
    and find there 41211.

  • Automatically Pass Parameters From Crystal To SAP B1

    So, I've searched extensively, and haven't been able to find an answer to my unique issue.
    This question pertains to linking a Crystal Report by parameter values to the OWOR table in SAP B1, and automatically passing those parameter values from the active record in SAP. Several other tables are used in sql joins, but the report is generated from an OWOR production order. I should start by stating that the report works great when manually populating the parameter fields when SAP calls for them.
    Overview:
    I've written a report in Crystal that contains several sub reports, some of which are looking to the DocEntry field as the parameter (DocKey@) and others that do not look to the DocEntry field at all - but rather use another field on the form to pull up information that spans more than just that one production order. I've chosen to upload as a layout in SAP (as that is all I've worked with up to this point, and it seems it needs to be to automate from a production order); but as I continue to research, it appears DocKey@ is mandatory when uploading as a layout, and in order to view the report from the actively selected production order, it must be a layout. Does that mean the parameter is required in all sub reports? Is it required in any sub report?
    I have two main issues that I need to hurdle for this report to work how I would like it to:
    1. Three of the eight Commands (one main command and seven sub-report commands) use the DocKey@ as the parameter to pass from SAP back to Crystal. The main report command, as well as four of the sub reports/commands are looking to another field in the OWOR record - which happens to be a re-seller defined field (UDF). For all intensive purposes, let's call this field BatchID. I'm assuming the sub report commands run in succession, one after the next. The reason I need to use BatchID as the parameter to pull from the record, rather than DocEntry, is there are other records that contain the same BatchID, and I want all of the info pertaining to that BatchID to populate on the report.
    Q1: The first command containing DocKey@ is automatically populated by SAP, and the user does not have to key that one in. However, the next two DocKey@ parameters do not automatically populate, and the user is asked for those values. How can I fix this?
    Q2: How can I automate the passing of BatchID so the user does not have to fill it in 5 times when they wish to preview the report(layout)? Can I link ObjectID@ to any field in OWOR? Is there any other way like creating a stored procedure or something , to automate the passing of that variable from the SAP active record to the crystal report - so the user doesn't have to key it in several times just to pull up the report?
    Thank you so much for even reading, let alone helping me with this issue!!
    Cheers,
    Nick
