Cfdocument - using cf7 - displaying .bmp & .tiff files

I'm using CF7's cfdocument tag (with no hope of upgrading to
CF8 anytime soon). I'm generating PDFs and not able to display .bmp
or .tiff files in the PDF. This was a known issue in this version.
-Has there been a fix, hotfix, or scheduled fix?
-Is there a workaround?
Thanks -

You might take a look at iText. It is what cfdocument uses
behind the scenes. It is not as simple as using cfdocument, but it
should be possible.

  • Display a tiff file

I have a 20-page document scanned as a tiff file, then saved into database as a blob. When I use 9i form to display this item, only first page shows up.
Can anyone tell me how to display the entire document in 9i Form?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Problems using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFF Files

    Hey there!
Maybe someone here may have a good hint due to our problem?
    The Situation as it is:
We are using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFFs.
    The Process looks like following:
The first step is to show a list of files situated in the user's personal folder(Network-Share).
Then the user selects one of these Files through a mouse-click -> The File is displayed via ECL Viewer.
Now the user selects the personal-Id where this file should be connected to and selects "SAVE".
The Programm closes the Viewer and saves the Data in SAP Archiv.
    >> Everything works fine till here.<<
But now the last processing-step would be to delete this file from the user-folder.
(So next time the users starts it there will be only files he/she has to work on...)
Here an error message is telling us that the file can not be deleted because there s some kind of file lock set...
This problem only occurs only during processing multipage-Tiffs after paging down (swiching to page 2,3,4...) once at least.
Any Idea what's the cause here  - or how to get through it?
We are using a CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER objekt as base -> hooked on that is a CL_GUI_ECL_VIEWERBOX and the TIFF itself is displayed wit an I_OI_DOCUMENT_VIEWER objekt.
Maybe we get confused while destroying the "Connections" to the FIle oder something with Automation Queue Handling is not implemented right?
Thanx for any idea, hints, or better practices
    Very kind Regards from Austria!

  • Display *.bmp images or *.tiff images

    Hi All,
Need help in displaying *.bmp / *.tiff images at runtime.
I am working in an application where the user may upload
images (jsp) in any format (jpg/gif/png/bmp/tif) and I need to
display these images from an user interface built in Flex with zoom
effects. I am able to display jpg/gif/png using the standard Image
control with zoom but unable to display the bmp and tiff files.
Is there any way to display tiff and bmp files?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Paromita

All is well now. I used the Revo Uninstaller (www.revouninstaller.com) which scoured the registry and deleted dozens of left-behind pieces, then I reinstalled off the disk using all the default settings.

  • Showing tiff files using web.show_document

    Hello,
I want to show tiff files using web.show_document. Tiff files cannot be displayed in a browser, however therr are several plug-ins available to show them.
Can anyone recommend a plugin to display tiff files in a browser?
    Kind Regards Erik

We had tried a different approach. We store all type of documents in the database using webutil.
And we dont directly open any document and we download the document to the local host and then open it using webutil client host ('local folder\file name')
This way word, excel, pdf etc will be automatically opened with its relevant appln and if there is relevant appln is not found it will prompt the windows standard Open with dialog box.

  • Process TIFF file from FTP server using File/FTP adapter

    Hi,
I have a requirement to process a scanned document TIFF file from a directory on an FTP server using the File/FTP adapter and process through XI into a Web Service via a receiver SOAP adapter.
My question is can the file/FTP adapter be used to process the TIFF file into XI from an FTP server ? Also, what settings need to be made on the file adapter to allow this file to be processed into XI ?
    Thanks in advance

  • I used tag to show PDF file inside my JSP page, It is working properly in IE but nothing shows in Mozilla. What should I do?

I've used to display a PDF file inside my JSP page. It is working fine in IE. However, many of users of this application are using Mozilla and the platform is Ubuntu so it is vital that the file is shown in Mozilla as well. How can I solve this problem.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I run my jsp page

Such conditional code will only work in IE and not in other browsers like Firefox.

  • Problem displaying tiff files using ADF

    Hi,
I have some TIFF files in a table - IMAGE_TABLE
    ID NOT NULL NUMBER
    DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(40)
    IMAGE ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE
I am unable to display TIFF images in an ADF form. I can use processCopy to convert the TIFF images to jpeg, which them display correctly. All other JPEG or GIF display correctly, it's only the TIFF that don't. I've tried variours tiff files (different sources, converted gif and jpeg to tiff) but none display correctly (i.e. in IE you get the red 'x' - in firefox you get the broken picture symbol or nothing)?
This appears to be an ADF issue as I 'can' dsiplay the TIFF files correctly in IE and firefox using the quicktime plugin but not from an ADF form using JDdevloper? (The code/application is Steve Muench's JSFOrdImageExample - http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/tips/muench/jsfordimage/JSFOrdImageExample.zip)
Any ideas or suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
yes, I can view tiff's in browsers (IE and firefox) using the quicktime plugin. I've selected quicktime as the player in the af:objectmedia property settings and Autostart = true, but using the ADF form from JDeveloper will not display tiff images (jpg's, giff's etc. are fine) even though the browser will display tiff's on it's own?
    Thanks.

  • Tiff files with Alpha Channels do not display or print correctly...

I have Tiff files that have been edited in Photoshop that do not display correctly. As far as I can tell this is caused by the existence of Alpha channels in the channels panel in PS. When the files are imported to Aperture, they only display information from either the alpha channel or a layer using that alpha channel as a mask.
If this is true, what are people doing about it. This cant be acceptable???
Are there any work arounds and is apple addressing this problem?
    Can anyone else confirm this?
I am using Aperture 1.1.2, OS 10.4.7 and PS CS. on a Dual 2GHz Power PC G5 with 4.5 GB RAM
Please note, these are NOT .psd files. I have read and am aware of some psd compatibility issues, and have checked the maximize compatibility in PS.

Thank you for your response, I am trying to figure out what to do differently when we re-create the PDF so we don't have font issues when we combine. I don't want to keep recreating the problem, I am looking for a solution. Why does this happen? What settings do I tell other to apply on their Acrobat? Is the a font issue in Adobe? I found this on a Google search on the internet and can't seem to get it to work on XI PRO.
Embedding fonts into Acrobat 9 through Distiller:
    Launch Acrobat.
Choose Advanced > Print Production > Acrobat Distiller.
    Select Standard in Default settings.
Go to Settings and select Edit Adobe PDF Settings.
Select Fonts and in the font source window select the fonts you want to Add.
Click Save As and then OK.

  • Display .bmp files

How can I display .bmp files with java?

Yes using JAI - using core methods or just the codec.
You only need the jars. A full install on the desktop or server is not required but the C libs a full install provides MIGHT make things a little faster.

  • Why we used tiff files rather than other files

hi experts can u tell me for this

    Hi
SAPscript technology is based on a mainframe product from the 1980s, while Smart Forms have only been around since (roughly) 2001. With that sort of time gap, there are bound to be significant differences between the two tools. Client dependence is a fundamental one. Although SAPscript has had some incremental improvements over time, its forms have always been -- under the hood -- relatively ...
So Script is designed such that it accepts only .tiff fiels unlike smartforms
So it is a must to use/convert the BMP fiels into .tiff fiels and to use in scripts
To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
    1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
    2. Run  program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
       Enter file name                     C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
       UOM                           CM
        Line width for text                132
        Text name                     ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
        Text ID                          ST
        Text language = E
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
    3.  Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
    Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
/: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...’ the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.

  • How can I display a .csv file as a real time waveform using labview

    Hi folks.
As stated, Im looking to display a .CSV file (obtained via RS-232, example; 100,101,102,102,102,103...) as a waveform in real-time. What is the best way to approach this? Im thinking LabVIEW. I have version 7.1 but am not really experienced in using it. I'll give anything a go though. Also, I have Visual Studio 2005, so I was thinking VB???
    Thanks in advance!

  • Using IFRAME in JSF to display a PDF file

    2 all,
How do i display a PDF file inside a JSF page in a IFRAME tag?
I store the PDF file location (like d:\images\pdf1.pdf) in my database. I cant give this location directly into the src attribute cos then the file will be rendered to only users who have access to that folder (the application is a internet application). IFRAME would be ideal as the display is very very neat (esp for pdf files).

    Hi,
The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.
