Cfgrid and binding to a webservice on another server

i want to use cfgrid to bind to a CF webservice on another server via http. Is this possible and if so, what is the proper code? Ive already tried
bind="http://notthesameserver.com/webservices/service.cfc"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have created a simple script that copies the file, but doesn't give me only the current day file. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I also want to ftp this file to another server. I've tried the basic FTP command but it doesn't work.

Here is a more reliable method of extracting the date.

Cfgrid and binding checkboxes

Hello,
I have about 10 checkboxes that I would like to show as
checked or unchecked in a cfform. The cfgrid does not need to show
the checkboxes. So I have 3 columns in my cfgrid
(firstName,lastName,company) these all bind just fine to cfinput
type="text". There are 10 bit/boolean columns in the same database
table that I need binded to my form. When I selected a record the
forms update fine with the following code.

Reporting and Analysis server down need to move to another server

I lost my original server for RA and re-installed the components on another server, however, when I try to access from workspace, I receive the message *"Could not find a Hyperion Reporting and analysis server running on "old server name' at port 6800. Please veriify your server connect string and confirm the server is set up".*
I've re-run the installer and configuration to no avail. Is there a configuration file that I have to update someplace?

This basically means that the HSS registry is still pointing to the old server name for RA_FRAMEWORK component.You will have to check through the registry report whether there are multiple instance of RA framework registered (one with the old server and another with the new server).If yes you can delete the old one from registry through the epmsys_registry command tool and reconfigure with the new server.
If you want assistance with the same,please raise an SR with Oracle support and should be able to guide you through.

Generating pdf using ADS on another Server failed

Hi there,
I am trying to generate a pdf-document using Adobe Document Services installed on another server.
It's a Visual Composer app, which opens a Web Dynpro component to generate the pdf. Everything works fine when I run the app on a server, which has Adobe Document Services installed.
But when I try to run the app on a server without ADS installed and want to use ADS on another server (both NW 7.3 SPS4) it fails with and FileNotFoundException.
The log of the ADS-Server says, that it cannot found the file located in <PATH TO THE XDP-FILE ON THE APP-SERVER>. It's sure, that the server cannot find the file, because it's not deployed there!
It seems that the Application calls the Adobe-System which trys to find the template on its own file-system.
Does anybody know the mistake here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The problem was, that I was passing xdp template source as url .
Instead I should send it as a stream using the appropriate pdfdocument api.

IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.

We have a scenario where we need to send an IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.
Questions:
1. Is this scenario possible without a BPM? or do we need to use BPM (Sync-Async bridge).
2. Is there a Async to Sync bridge in BPM?
3. How do I use this bridge in my scenario and customize it?
4. If not possible, provide me the related docs using BPM for the same scenario.

Can WS name and Binding name be changed?

Hi,
When we generating the wsdl file from a sender agreement, A webservice name and Binding name have been created in the wsdl file.
web service name AS "XI_20ec1074cc28367c964b34f226098f29_Service"
and binding name as "ServiceInterfacenameBinding"
But the legacy people who are going to access this webservice need this names to be changed. is it possible from PI??
i mean like instead of "XI_20ec1074cc28367c964b34f226098f29_Service" they want some name like "getProductinformation"
and binding name like as "ProductinformationBinding"

Hi Balaji,
It s not possible within PI, as this Information is generated when you retrieve the WSDL from the Directory.
However if you want to change that you can do it manally before forwarding the WSDL to other people.
The name of Binding/Service has no impact on the call at runtime.

You can bind with a user dn instead of a manager, however you will have to give the user enough rights to create and delete other users. The directory server manual should explain more on this.

or there is some other way to open the report ?

Dynamic sql and bind variables

I have a stored procedure which filters a table on 5 five columns. The filters come from the input parameters,
and these 5 parameters can come in any combination, I mean some of them may be null and some of them may not be null.
So I constructed the where filter of the query with IF blocks like the following:

The problem is how can I construct the USING and bind parameters, I cannot use "USING P1, P2, P3, P4, P5" because some of bind variables
may not be in dynamic query if the input parameters are null. Is there a way to overcome this problem without writing all the 2 ^ 5 combinations?

Backup DC past tombstone and need help replacing it with another DC with the same name and IP

Hey Everyone
We have a single domain in a forest with 2 DCs with AD integrated DNS configured. The primary DC with all the FSMO roles is a VM (Server 2008 R2) and the backup DC is a physical server (Server 2008 non-R2).
The backup DC's hardware is very old and has been giving us a lot of issues where the system would intermittently BSOD, freeze, black screen only etc. and as a result, the server was turned off for a very long time, definitely beyond the default tombstone
lifetime of either 60 or 180 days.
We want to replace this bad backup DC with another physical server which became available as a spare and is much newer and in a working condition hardware wise. We also wish to ultimately give it the same name (FQDN) and IP to basically make it an outright
replacement for the current bad backup DC.
My questions are:
1.) If we are in a position where the bad server could possibly physically boot and start the operating system and have network connectivity, will we be able to use DCPROMO as one would normally do to demote this DC, or will it have to be done forcefully,
while keeping in mind as I said that the DC is way past the tombstone lifetime period?
2.) If it has to be done forcefully, I am aware that the meta data needs to be cleaned up in AD on the working primary DC, although I have never performed such a process before. If this is done, are there any other things I need to look out for or do
before I attempt to replace it with the other server which I will set up wit the same name (FQDN) and IP, then add to the domain, and then lastly promote as per normal using DCPROMO?
I know we will have to upgrade the scema to 2012RM as the replacement backup DC will be running this newer operating system.
Anything else you wish to add or point out to me would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

         Cross check the removal – dsa.msc [ad users and computers] > Domain Controllers OU
Adsiedit.msc
Expand domain partition, select OU=Domain Controllers, make sure only the necessary domain controllers are listed.
Delete the incorrect domain controllers.
Dnsmgmt.msc [Dns Management]
      Expand the forward lookup zones\_msdcs folder
i.      Make sure only the actual domain controllers are listed, delete wrong Alias recordsremove wrong name server records
ii.      Select the container [forward lookup zones\_msdcs.domain.com\dc\_sites_\sitename\_tcp] > delete incorrect _ldap and _kerberos records are listed.
iii.      Select the container [forward lookup zones\_msdcs.domain.com\dc\_tcp] and delete incorrect _ldap and _kerberos records
iv.      Expand the [forward lookup zones\_msdcs.domain.com\domains\guid\_tcp] and delete incorrect _ldap entries
v.      Select [forward lookup zones\_msdcs.domain.com\gc] – delete incorrect HostA records

Creating and Binding View Objects dynamically : Oracle Jdeveloper 11g

Hello,
We are trying to create and bind view objects dynamically to adf data visualization components.
The view object is a result of multiple tables.
We are using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Technical Preview. ( can't upgrade to TP2 or TP3 now).

The sample application however, is in 10g , hence required migration.
Also, it was a standalone application with the TestClient.java having a main() method.
Our requirement is for Web Application; we use Adf+jsf .

What you are trying todo is not trivial because you need to not only dynamically create the VO, you would also dynamically need to create the binding meta data for it (assuming you use ADF). Not sure if the API to modify the binding is public, so posting it on the JDeveloper 11 forum bears a glimpse of hope for an answer
