CFolder error 'I_backend_system'

Hi,
While publishing documents to cfolders, we are getting error as ' error in input parameter "I_BACKEND_SYSTEM' the required value is initial' in CFE01 when we click on copy documents.
Please help.

This error is not because of authorizations but because of incorrect config.
Goto CFC01 and maintain URL path for cFolder system like
http://ides.#####.com:8000/

using the URL defined for cfolder, i could able to logon to C-folders , but when i am trying to create RFX i am getting this error.
I have double check the settings again and when i debug the program it is terminating at this function module CFX_API_COLLABORATION_CREATE' DESTINATION which is throwing error message 98 connection to Cfolder error.
RFC destination is picking right.

Error while opening Cfolder URL Link.

Hi,
I get BSP error while opening cfolder URL link in BID Invitation Header data --> Document tab and click on the hyperlink for the cfolder.

Hi,
You dont have the authorisation for going to cFolder.
Ask your BASIS guy to give the roles of SAP_CFX_CFOLDERS_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_CFX_ADMINISTRATOR.

ECL VIewer error with cfolder

I am setting up a demo system for cFolder and was able to export document structure from CAD Desktop to CFolder.
The neutral documents in the cfolder ie JPG cannot be displayed in ECL Viewer for redlining. There is a error message dispalyed saying that - Installation error detected.
I have ECL viewer 6 installed on my local system.

I have installed ECL viewer and Cfolder. I have also applied OSS notes 494146,809056,809922.
When I am opening the *.jt ot redlining file in Cfolder the systems give s error that file not found.

sometimes it happens, that you click on the file-link itselfe. This is not starting the viewer. You have to click on the '0' below 'Redlining'.

Getting Auth error for cFolder only for first time

Dear Experts,
I am getting authorization error when I click on "Tech RFx" button from vendor side.
After that if I close that cFolder window and again clicking on "Tech RFx" button, it is allowing me to go ahead without any error!
I tried debugging, I am getting error from one standard method which gets metadata.

CFolder BOM Export Error

Hi Team,
We are getting inconsistant system behaviour while executing
transaction code - CFE02 while exporting same object at multiple times.
For example:
BOM - 1973005 transported successfully to cFolder by using Tcode- CFE02.
When I again exported this same object to other cFolder collaboration
that time, We are getting the message " You dont have write
authorization for BOM -1973005".
This system behaviour is inconsistant and we do not know when we will
get this error and when the object will get transported successfully.
What could be the possible reason for this inconsistant behaviour?
In Addition to the above information, Please refer the below infomation.
I am having the Write and create authorization at the folder level
where I am posting the data object and also I am having all the
required authorization in SAP R3 system.
Whne I am getting the above error, inspite of getting the error the BOM
gets exported to cFolder but the Version 1 becomes active and Version 2
becomes inactive.
In nomral scenario when we do not get the error that time BOM exported
with 2 Version where Version 2 is the active and Versio 1 is inactive.

CFolder Integration with SNC

Hi Experts,
We are integrating cFolder with SAP SNC (Supply Network Collaboration) application. Both SNC and cFolder application are installed on the same server. We have activated cFolder within SNC application. As per SAP help, we have not added any RFC destination for cFodler as it is on the same server as SNC.
Now when I try to open cFolder link from SNC application, it throws an exception
"Error in CFX Call: An exception occurred that was not caught."
I checked ST22 for the error and found that the application is not able to find cFolder URL. It is failing at below code:

i_area_id = l_area_id_str
i_topic_id = i_topic_id_str
i_role = ' ' ).
I can see that relative collaboration folders are created in cFolder. cFolder application when opened directly from SE80 is opening properly. So it is evident that SNC is able to communicate with cFolder and also able to create collaboration folder. However, when the cFolder window is opening, it fails.
Request you to please help on how to solve this issue.

the different parameters we have to define are as follows;
internet address, cfolder system alias.
i am defining these paramets but it is giving me error.
my question is , can anyone tell me what i have to put in these two fields.

Hi Amit,
We can not maintain the full URL of cFolders in path specified by u.
Solution for this is U maintain the alias for cFolders URL in tcode sicf.
For this select default host and then external aliases tab.
U will be in maintain ext aliases screen.
Then Select create icon (extreme left)( create new ext alises ).
Then select Trg element tab.
browse to this path /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui
and enter name for this external alias for ex:- /epnetweaver100
so ur URL will be like this ex:- http://epnetweaver.lntinfotech.com:8001/epnetweaver100
U maintain this url in path specified by u.
While saving it may give warning message.U ignore that and save.
U can now have cFolders link from ur sales order.

Error "app.addMenuItem is not a function"

Hey,
New to Acrobat and Javascript in general. I wanted to be able to create a custom toolbar with four buttons when a document is loaded (we don't want the buttons on the documents themselves), and I copied and pasted the following code into a module named "Open" to give me an example of how the commands work. When I run it, I get the error in the thread title. So I copied the first block of code - the "addMenuItem" command into the Javascript console and tried running it from there, and I get the same error. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Assigning authorization to status in cFolder status profile

Working with cFolders, I've written a function module that creates a status profile with statuses for use in a collaboration. The status profile, several statuses and status transitions are being successfully created. I am adding user group and role authorizations to the status profile using cl_cfx_api_authorization->set_authorization.
I am trying to add user group and role authorizations to a couple of the statuses as well but that isn't working for me. I'm trying the same set_authorization call as above but I get an error back saying the object doesn't exist. The message gives me the ID for the status which does exist in the cfs_status table. In stepping though the code it doesn't appear that this method works with statues. I have used it successfully with collaborations, work areas, and status profiles that I've created.
Does anyone know how to add user group and role authorizations to a status? Or could someone point me to some documentation? I'm having trouble finding anything on the cFolder related classes and function modules.

According to SAP at this time there is no api call for adding authorizations to the status or status transitions of a status profile. This has to be done through the user interface.
still holds good? Has anyone tried setting authorizations for cFolder?

CFolder integration with SRM

When i create a colloboration folder from bid invitation by clicking create, the cfolder is created correctly. I can log on to cfolders directly and see that it created cFolder for bid invitation correctly. However, after clicking create button, and create button goes away and cFolder link is there, when i click on it, i recieve the following error message:

BSP Exception: the Application Name cfx_rfc_ui in URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui/area_de.htm?p_col_id=DEB8F181971056F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_area_id=DEB8F181971057F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_role= is invalid.
My user ID, the creator of the bid invitation has all standard CFX roles assigned to it in the PLM server. The RFCUSER in the RFC destination has all the CFX roles assigned to it (in PLM server) and is integrated in to the SRM org.
Why role is invalid?
Couple of other questions, the complete URL in the error above has the SRM host name, so appears to me based on the URL that SRM is validating role, and the ICF service being called (cfx_rfc_ui) is also at the SRM level. There arent any CFX roles existing in SRM and /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui doesnt exist in the SRM ICF framework. This may be nothing, i would of just expected when clicking the colloboration, it would take me to the PLM server.
It seems I have missed a piece of configuration or something? Do i need to install the CPRXRPM add-on to SRM to get this to work? Any insight is appreciated, I am at a total loss.
Again, the colloboration folder is being created in the background with no issues. RFC connections work. Once cfolder is created i am uable to accesss as buyer/rfx creator from the bid invitation. No issue if log directly in cFolders.

Yes, i had to submit an OSS message that got kicked around a bit and ended up with development team at SAP. I spoke with the developer on the phone and if I remember correctly, he indicated one of the support packs activated the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL, can not be sure if this is the root cause as it was phone call and I have no documentation of root cause.
the fix was to de-activate the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL.
We did that, works fine, and did not affect any other business scnearios.

CFolder & SRM on same server that too be on same client

Hi,
We are using SRM 7.0 with PPS. In our case,both the C-folders(PLM suite-Add on component) as well as the SRM server are on the same box that too same client. So would we need to create the new RFC and Logical system for cFolders also. As we are having both the components (C-folders and SRM) on same server that too be on same client.

while i am doing the configuration in the system landscape node by defining the entry for the cfolder in this. System is not allowing me to do the same. System is giving an error that entry with this already exist. As I have already explain that my SRM and Cfolder are on the same server that too be on same client. So while I am doing this configuration one entry is already ther for SRM system with the same logical system.
Can you please give your suggestions on this.

CFolder connection issue

Both the external users (supplier or bidder) and internal user (Buyer) connecting CFOLDER via tech rfc button through INTRANET ( ABLE TO CONNECT SUCCESSFULLY).
Cfolder setting.
Cfolder network admin >>>network >>>Absolute URL >>>Intranet URL example : http:
intranet.sap.com:8000/Cfolder/cfx_rfc_ui.
But as per the actual production environment external users (supplier or bidder) will access the system through INTERNET and internal user (Buyer) will access the system through INTRANET
ISSUE :
Now i have given the absolute URL of the application in Cfolder as : https:
/cfolder/cfx_rfc_ui
Bidders are able to access through INTERNET but when Internal Buyer's try to connect to Cfolder they cannot access the same.
Reason : Internal Buyer cannot access the reverse proxy on intranet.

If I change the Absolute URL application to (http:
intranet.sap.com:8000/Cfolder/cfx_rfc_ui) then Internal buyer able to access internally but the external bidder cannot through internet.

Laptop works fine to other wireless network. Router is also working fine connecting to other loptop as well.
Laptop can connect to the network for a moment then after a while the computer will reboot. Here's the error signature
