Change a File to String

hi,
I'm doing Java Cryptography. I can encrypt a message and decrypt a message. But I don't know how to encrypt a file in java. Can anybody help?

use CipherOutputStream or CipherInputStream. See the doc for more details about theses functions. They are used as InputStream or OutputStream, except the need of a cipher in the initialisation of the CipherIn(/Out)putStream.

Hey Luis,
the container object only exists in message mapping runtime.
Thus you're getting a null pointer exception there.
For java mappings, remember that you have a .setParameter() method (which is necessary from definition of StreamTransformation interface),
which sets the private variable param with the transformation parameters. In your .execute() method, just use it like this:
DynamicConfiguration conf = param.get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);

File copy with change of file type

I'm currently working on what seems like a simple file-to-file scenario. A file (without an extension) on server A has to be copied to server B. The name of the file on the target server should be the same as the file on the source system. Only change is that the file on the target system should get a .txt extension. After trying various options I'm stuck on the .txt extension.
I enabled File Name in Adapter Specific Message Properties on both the sender and receiver communication channels. With this option the file gets copied to the target server with the same name, but I cannot add the .txt extension. I also followed the instructions in this blog: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2664. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] Unfortunately, I don't see the file name in the payload of my message, which means I cannot use it in the Variable Substitution option of my receiver communication channel.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong here?

Changing the File Name

i am designing a adobe form which will be send in mail when a button is clicked, i found that the attachment name to be "unknown.pdf". how can i change this ???
i found out a method called getAcrobatApplicationName() in XML and when i changed application name in that its not getting reflected. So is there any other way to change the file name on "Button Click" event?

Reading text file, Replace string, Write to new file....

I'm kind a lost of on this problem. Using the BufferedReader class and BufferedWriter class, develop an application that reads lines of text from a file. Replace any occurrence of the word *?the?* with *?JAVAJAVA?* and change all characters to upper case before writing each line to a different text file named outfile.txt. Finally, have your application use the appropriate method on the File class to return the absolute path of the outfile.txt file and output the path to the screen.

I have modified my code as far as being able to create a text file, write to string, and change to upper case. Now, how can I connected input to the output stream and then replace all the instances of the string "the" for the string "JAVAJAVA"? Changing of file extension

I am having the 1000 files in a directory and all the files are of extension
".jad". So how can i change the extension of all files from ".jad" to ".java" through a java program.

The Java File class doesn't recognise extensions as such. ".jad" is just seen as a string of four characters that may or may not be present at the end of a file name.
(1) Find the files in the directory for example with the File list() method
(2) Check whether the file name ends with ".jad" with the String endsWith() method
(3) If it does: construct a new name with substring() and string concatenation, then use the File renameTo() method to change the file name.
You might want to use the form of list() that takes a FilenameFilter. Or, perhaps better, use the listFiles() method and supply a FileFilter so that only files are considered.

Need to change word file name

Reupload file/change uploaded file

I need requirement like to reupload/change the already uploaded file in BSP Application.
A Brief Note:
I got an ITAB(STD),on which through Iterator , I am uploading the file in The application server(The actual path will be stored in one of the database table field(STUD). I recently had some 8mm film transferred to DVD. I am trying to edit the film clips using Premier Elements 4.0. so I can reburn the films on a single BluRay disc. Some of the film clips copy into the project but others don't. I tried copying the VOB filed onto my hard drive and then changing the file extensions on the VOB files to MPEG but this was no help. Some of the VOB files contain numerous film clips but my software does not appear to be able to recognize them as such. I need to know if replacing my old Premier Elements with the new Version 13 would solve this problem or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What do you have now.....
What computer operating system do you have?
We can go into the finer points of source and your intentions, but for now it would appear that you are using SD 4:3 source media to get to a HD 16:9 result. Lots to discuss in this regard.
What was given to you on the DVD disc? DVD-VIDEO 4:3 or something else?
If DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, you should expect to find on the disc a folder named VIDEO_TS. That is your target for your video files.
If you were given a DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, then all you want from it are the video files, specifically
VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, and so on through that series until possibly getting to
VTS_02_1.VOB, and so on. How many files you have beyond the VTS_01_1.VOB file will depend on the size of the DVD-VIDEO.
Does the above scenario apply to you?
The alternative might be someone giving a DVD disc (data disc) which contains just the VTS files mentioned which were copied from
the VIDEO_TS Folder. So, you do not get the whole VIDEO_TS Folder, just the essential video files. Does this scenario apply to you.
I see no need to replace your Premiere Elements 4 with a later version unless you have a huge project and need a later version that will be a 64 bit application running specifically on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer.
Consider...Premiere Elements 4 and if you have DVD-VIDEO on DVD....
1. Place the DVD disc in the burner tray
2. Open Premiere Elements 4 and set the project preset for NTSC DV Standard (assuming you are working in a NTSC setup)
3. Go to
Get Media
"DVD, Digital Camera, Mobile Phone, Hard Drive Camcorder, Card Reader"
"Adobe Premiere Elements - Media Downloader" and its Advanced dialog.
Set the Source in the latter dialog for the drive which has your DVD disc inserted in its tray
You should see your VTS_01_1.VOB thumbnail in the "Adobe Premiere Elements - Media Downloader" Advanced dialog.
With this VOB selected, click on Get Media to get the file from there into the project.
Should work fine.
Complications may be involved if the people who processed your footage gave you something other what is described above.
Please review and consider, and then we can plan our project strategy accordingly.

I am using a dell laptop running windows 7 and have tried changing the file location to run the update in all of my iTunes files as well as when I've tried reinstalling it.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

hello can any one help me to retrieve the individual strings from a txt file using string tokenizer or some thing like that.

Hmmm... looks like the file format isn't even very consistent... why the semicolon after Data1 but not after Data2 or Data3??
Your algorithm is reading character-by-character, and most of the time it's easier to let a StringTokenizer or StreamTokenizer do the work of lexical analysis and let you focus on the parsing.
I am also going to assume your format is very rigid. E.g. section Data1 will ALWAYS come before section Data2, which will come before section Data3, etc... and you might even make the assumption there can never be a Data4, 5, 6, etc... (this is why its nice to have some exact specification, like a grammar, so you know exactly what is and is not allowed.) I will also assume that the section names will always be the same, namely "DataX" where X is a decimal digit.
I tend to like to use StreamTokenizer for this sort of thing, but the additional power and flexibility it gives comes at the price of a steeper learning curve (and it's a little buggy too). So I will ignore this class and focus on StringTokenizer.
I would suggest something like this general framework:

Well, you can recognize the DataX lines easily enough - just do something like a line.startsWith("Data") and check that the last char is a digit... you can even ignore the digit if you know the sections come in a certain order (simplifying assumptions can simplify the code).
Once you figure out which section you're in, you can parse the succeeding lines appropriately. You might instantiate a StringTokenizer, i.e. StringTokenizer strtok = new StringTokenizer(line, ";, "); and then read out the tokens into some Collection, based on the section #. E.g.
strtok = new StringTokenizer(line, ";, ");

}I don't think the delimiters are necessary if you are using end-of-line's as delimiters (which is implicit in the fact that you are reading the text out line-by-line). So the original file format you listed looks fine (except you might want to get rid of that rogue semicolon).

My original external has an error and needs to be reformatted but I dont want to lose this informations its my entire Itunes library.

Sounds like the source drive is formatted as case sensitive and the destination drive is not. The preferred format for OS X is case insensitive unless there is a compelling reason to go case sensitive.
Why can't you change the filename? Is it because the source drive is having problems? If so is this happening with only one or two or a few files? If so the best thing would be to copy those over individually and then rename them on the destination drive.
If it is more then you can do manually and you can't change the name on the source you will have to reformat the destination as case sensitive.
Btw this group is for discussion of the Support Communities itself, you;d do better posting to Lion group. I'll see if a host will move it.

'Rodewald-Morebello Duo.' All of my links to that page are to the
original page(MaroldDuo.html). Arrrhhhhh!!! Is there anyway I can
change the name of the page and have all the links within the
website update automatically?
I figured out my problem...make a copy and rename it and put
it on the server. Simple....eventually, I'll have to get rid of the
original file, but for now works well.
