Change BI 7 WAD exception symbol

Dear All,
I have a question regarding exception symbol in BI 7 WAD. we can change the exception from color to image(symbol). the question is can we change the symbol? the default is just an arrow up, down and across. I want to change with something else. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tienus.

Dear Michael,
Raj havent sent me any document for the solution, I am still waiting for the document.
I try to use the css in the header of the html in WAD and somehow it works, but doesnt give us any flexibility. just try to put the background image on the css class which the exception needed.

  • Exception Symbols in WAD & Link

    Hi All,
    1. I have a requirement in which i need to show an exception symbol beside the value in WAD report
for any exception happening in the related query.
    2. I also need to pass the portal link of the query beside that. Here i need to understand if i can store the
link in a table/DSO and then through a report i can access the field. Is this possible ?
If i can do some manual coding in the XTML of wad and convert a string into an hyperlink...Pls
    advise and help me out.

    Hi,

Try to Insert the image(Exceptions) from Mime repository As Exception symbol is sap defined you will get it in Mime BC. if not you have to Paste it in the Customized Repository images thru SE80 select MIME Repository-> Expand SAP-> BW-> Expand Customer and then right-click select Import MIME objects and give the path where ur logo is stored,It will copy into repository. While creating we-template give the above path.System only reads images from MIME repository.By default SAP logo is stored in repository, thats why it displaying that.

I am not clear with this . but still some inputs when u try to execute the query you will get the link by itself at the web template try to copy paste.

Digging through the classes gives me a pretty good guess that the missing resource is in "orabpel.jar" which is on the classpath and in the class exception_cube_bpeltest.java.
    "exception.20001.severity", "10"
    "exception.20001.type", "error"
    "exception.20001.name", "Assertion execution error."
"exception.20001.description", "A problem occurred while converting the assertion value \"{0}\" to a number at activity \"{1}\"."
"exception.20001.fix", "Please change the value to be a number or do a string comparison."
What I'm looking for is the nicely formatted exception to come back from Oracle so that I can wrap it up in our own exception handling and deal with the situation nicely. Instead of a java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError - I think I'm supposed to be getting a proper "ORABPEL-20001" exception.
I suspect it's got something to do with classpath. But I've checked that orabpel.jar is on the classpath.
    Please help :-)
    - Richard Perfect.

I think it is a classloader related problem. I had the same situation when updating BPEL Tasks from a custom web application using REMOTE_CLIENT (RMI) method. I have no clue which classloader loads which class so I choosed a simple workaround: extracted the com.collaxa.cube.i18n folder and its contents from orabpel.jar into the oc4j container's applib directory. This way every classloader can find the resource files. (Do not copy the orabpel.jar into applib. It causes other classloader related dependency problems. Copy only the resource files.)

  • Why are my web analyzer exception symbols arrows?

    Hello all,
I think that when I was in the class for BEx a while back that when we created exceptions for a query and then launched it in the web analyzer the images showed as little red, yellow, and green circles. I recently implemented some exceptions on a query and when I ran it I got black colored DOWN, SIDEWAYS, and UP arrows. I would like to have the little circle show instead. How do I go about changing what the symbols look like. I am suspecting that it may be in the MIME directory, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated and points awarded.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jaime,
I guess the default/standard exception symbol happens to be black arrows. To learn more about Analysis webitem Modification modules, you can refer help.sap.com :-

If you need help on how to implement the module for your own Exception Images, plz. let me know your email ID - shall post you a doc on the same.

Although the versions 10.1.3.4 and 10.1.3.3 are close and should be able to use 10.1.3.4 JDev for most 10.1.3.3 development, the human tasks is the one exception. 10.1.3.3 had a few bugs fixed therefore the jar file used in JDev 10.1.3.4 may not be compatible with 10.1.3.3.
I would either use JDev 10.1.3.3 or upgrade SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4

  • Can I change the color of a symbol in Adobe Flash Professional after it has been converted into a tween?

I am a bit new to the program and would appreciate the help!

You don't convert a symbol to a tween. You can tween a symbol, but that is just applying a movement over time to that symbol. If you select the symbol at either keyframe in the tween, you can still adjust the symbol at either keyframe. What do you mean by changing the color?
If you select the symbol at a keyframe, you can then double click on it to edit the original object in the Library, if you make a change to that original object, you will see the result at both the first and the second keyframe. So if you want to change the color of a symbol from the first keyframe to the second keyframe then you have to do more work. You can use one of several methods in Actionscript to alter the color of a symbol, or, you could make up the symbol from other objects and then make changes to those parts from one keyframe to the second.
Maybe you can give us a fuller explanation of what you have in mind.

How InDesign comes to know about any changes on document, but not saved. As it shows * on the name of document when it is opened and any changes.
And after saving * symbol is get removed from the name of document. How and where indesign@ handles this?

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a  program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

  • When I change the size of a symbol in itself, it is never updated outside the symbol.

    Hello,
I created a symbol there some time ago with graphics and elements inside. This symbol has well-defined dimensions according to the elements it contains, and is used several times in my project.
For some reason, later I need to change the elements in this symbol. So I have to resize the size of the symbol within itself.
This works fine inside, but outside, my symbol still keeps the original size, and, whatever happens.
So it can create problems if I need to change the position of my symbol or change the alignment relative to the elements of the same level.
For information it's been a while since I worked with Animate and I always had the problem, whatever the version ...
Is there a way to fix this?
Or maybe the problem is known and will be part of the next update?
    Thanks for reply

    Hi LP700CR7,
This is a default behavior, I am afraid, its not possible to stop this behavior at this stage within Muse.

  • Not able to make change of text in text symbol which are stored in txt pool

    Hi Experts,
I have new problem today. I have been told to make changes of header text which is displayed after running one customized program.
Program name : ZSDXXXXX1 which is attached in one Tcode: ZSDXX2.But when I goto SE38 and display the program to make changes, it shows the following different report name like AQCSSYSTQV000009ZSDXXXXX1 and the text symbols text-f58 which are somewhat different.
Pls gide me to proceed further...
    In SE38:
    report AQCSSYSTQV000009ZSDXXXXX1
       line-size 253 no standard page heading line-count 000(003).
    include <symbol>.
    include <icon>.
    selection-screen: begin of block prog
                               with frame title text-f58.
    tables LIKP.
    data %count-LIKP(4) type x.
    data %linr-LIKP(2).
    tables aqldb.
    include rsaqexcd.
data: begin of %st_liste occurs 100,
              head(1),
              tab(3),
              line(6) type n,
              cont(1) type n,
              fint(1),
              finv(1),
              fcol(1) type n,
              text(0253),
          end of %st_liste.
    etc.

As per the report name "AQCSSYSTQV000009ZSDXXXXX1", it seems that there will be a SAP Infoset "ZSDXXXXX1"
Go to transaction SQ02 with this infoset name "ZSDXXXXX1" then press change button.
Then on right hand side there witll be field groups/data fields. Select the folder corresponding to Text-F58 and then press change button .
If it does not work try transaction SQ01 & SQ03.

  • Can't change the color of a symbol I created

I am a beginner in illustrator, and I have been doing some online tutorials. I have run into a problem that I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm hoping you guys can help. I am doing a basic tree, I made a couple leaf symbols so that I could just easily duplicate the leaves. However, now I am going back and adding color and while some of the leaves I can change from black to green. Other leaves will not change color, they stay black to matter what I do. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to fix it. I am wondering if I did something wrong when I made the symbol. I am able to put a new color on the leaves that I made first. I made about 5 then I made a new symbol with the leaf a bit smaller and then another one with the leaf flipped. I think it is these leaves that I can't change the color on. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Are we talking about "real" symbols in Illustrators symbol panel?
How exactly do you try to change their color? You can't simply apply a color to a symbol instance, you need to either edit the symbol itself or expand the symbol instance (detach it from the symbol) or use the symbol-color-tool.

  • Font Size Change works on all except menu & Lists

Hi folks.  I've searched the forum and gone through about 100 pages of issues with Font size and font changes but have not found an answer that fixes the issue i'm having.
Issue:  I change the font size in Menu, options, screen/keyboard.  This changes the font on everything in the system EXCEPT the email listing, SMS listings, BBerry Messenger Listings, Menu Lists (like the options menu, etc...
i have seen answers to similar questiions that says that these items might be theme controlled.  Is there a way for me to fix without deleting my theme?
i've seen many people telling developers how to allow users to change the font but nothing that addresses this issue.
finally, i've seen some answers that say a person should upgrade to the latest software OS.  i ahve the latest OS 5.0.0.654 on a sprint curve 8530...
so to sum up... when i actually see the lsit of emails in my inbox, that font stays constant.  when i open a specific email that font is what i chose within Screen/Keyboard option in settings/options menu... Same with SMS, same with almost everything...
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks tons.
    dave

If it is a theme issue, the only way to fix it would be to contact the developer and see if they can develop a fix (or adjust it for you).  The catch is that when I played around with themes, it seemed that most of these sorts of settings were set within the theme itself and it wasn't easy to be able to adjust it.  It's not to say it wouldn't be possible - just that I couldn't figure out how during my efforts.
I'm glad you were able to figure out the source of the problem.  I just wish there was something more that you could do to directly fix it yourself.

  • How to change the colors for Exceptions

Can someone tell me how I can change the default colors that assigned to the Exceptions?
    Thanks.
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
    You can do it workbook-wise.
First select a cell containing the colour you want to change.
Then select icon 'Format' from BEx toolbar, select 'Pattern' and then colour required.

  • Is there a way to apply changes in default WAD template to KM Bookmarks?

    Hi gurus.
WE ran into the following issue. We have bunch of portal favorites and km bookmarks saved by the users from our BEx Web Analyzer reports. Our Bex Web utilizes a default template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN (renamed to ZZ..).
We have made some customizations to the default template. New queries show the changes, however km bookmarks and favorites saved with an old version of a template still show the old look of the WAD template.
Is there a way to somehow update km bookmarks and portal favorites to reflect the changes in the default template?
    Thanks

This is common issue to customized 0analysis_pattern templates in BI...
    Use program - RSWR_BOOKMARK_ADJUST
    Select your customized web template..
Web item to be removed - Specify the web item that you changed..
New web items should automatically appear...
Try this program on few affected bookmarks first and then run it wide across without bookmark selection. At one of my clients I adjust 200k such bookmarks.
Use with caution....test properly before you do...You dont want large number of bookmarks becoming useless...
