Change in 2nd decimal place in CATS Portal

When I enter time in CATS via portal, the second decimal place changes from what I entered, i.e 1.31 to 1.32, or 1.39 to 138. Is this a bug ?

It has to do with decimals being transformed into seconds.
If 0.30 hours = 18 minutes and 0.32 hours = 19 minutes, the system can't accept 0.31 as a valid entry since it can't split a minute.

  • Changing number of decimal places for Unit of Measure

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to convert a quantity in one unit of measure to another (custom) unit of measure.
The issue is that the custom unit of measure has 4 decimal places (customer requirement). I found function module MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT which does the trick for regular, 3 decimal places, UoM's. It won't output 4 decimal places since the output data type is EKPO-MENGE, which has 3 decimal places.
Does anyone have experience with trying to convert material's UoMs into 4 or more decimal places?
    Thanks!

  • Formatting decimal places in scatter charts???

I set up rather simple X-Y chart with numbers that have about 5 significant decimal places. All 5 numbers show up in the X chart axis labels. I can't find any way to tell Numbers to use only two decimal places in the chart labels. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried changed the displayed decimal places in the original cells but it doens't effect the charts.
    TIA

Thanks Brad for you quick response.
It kind of worked... I think I might have something else going on. Not sure what though.
With the changes made in the script you suggested, the X-Axis has changed to two digits but now it displays  " 1.dd "
Any thoughts where else I might have gone wrong?
    Thanks again

  • Purchase Order three decimal places

    Dear Experts
I want to change purchase order decimal places to three. Standard sap setting allow two decimal places.
My client want to create some raw material purchase orders in three decimal places. Also vendor bill is received in three decimals. But Purchase order doesn't allow three decimals, and if the same purchase order is created with two decimal places it causes huge amount difference. By this reason many purchase orders are pending. In transaction Code OY04 we can change the decimal places for currency directly. If there is any other setting to allow three decimals for mm transactions only. We have one month real time data on our production system, is it correct to change the decimal places at this stage.

OY04 it is a oneway decision, extending yes, but removing not anymore possible then. Search OSS for more infos.
If you allow more decimals, then this has not only effect on purchase orders, it will certainly effect your FI books as well.
SAP predefines the currencies in its natural design.
If a currency like dollars has smaller units like cent, then the SAP currency will show that. eg. for USD 2 decimals.
If you need more detailed prices with more than 2 decimals, then you should use the price unit which is usually next to the price fields.
instead of 1,0025 dollar you just enter 100,25 dollar per 100, this has the same effect. and this is available in material master and any condition, hence in PO and SA.

  • Decimal Place for Percentage

    Hi,
Where do we change the number of decimal places for percentage?  Currently it is set as 3places. (e.g. 1.234% change to 1.2345%)
    Thanks,

    Hi Shiva,
As for the link you gave, we don't want to change the currency decimal place.  We only want to change the number of decimals shown in a percentage value. (such 1.2345% instead of 1.234%)
    Thanks,

  • Can not change the number of decimal places in the normalization of result

    dear all
i want to see the proportion of some data, for example, the income of May is 300, and the total income is 1000, i need to display it like 33.33% . so i set the
Calculate single values as normalization of result, and then it display 33.333%, i like to display only two number of decimal places, so i set the number of decimal places as 0.00, but i doesn't work, it still display three decimal numbers.
maybe you say i can use the percentage function like %CT %GT %RT, but i need to allow external access to my query, so the i can not use those functions.
can somebody helps me ? your advice is appreciated.

hi,thanks for your advice, but that doesn't suit for my problem.
before i set the normalization of result, i can change the decimal values. After that i cann't.
In your thread, someone proposes use the T-code OY04. but this wouldn't help. As i change to other key figure, such as user quantity, when i set normalization of result, it still display 3 decimal values.
i think the point maybe lie in the normalization of result. please advise... thanks...

  • Decimal places for JPY currency in change documents

    Hi Gurus,
For opportunities in SAP GUI the change documents for JPY show incorrect numbers.
The number is divided by 100 (two decimal places added).
Checked the CDPOS table and found the values already divided (two decimal places added).
SPRO->General Settings->Currencies->Set decimal places for currencies is set for 0 decimals for JPY.
Is there any way I can get correct values in the change documents?
Please advice. Any hint is useful.
    Thx,
    Martin Kuma

    Hi Naren,
Thank you for the tip, however the TCURX table is changed via customizing and should be changed only during the system initialization.
What I would like to do, is to assure that the system displays the values in change documents correctly. It should apply the currency conversion for the data displayed the same way it does for all the tables.
Do you have any idea, how should I do this?
    Regards,
    Martin Kuma

  • How to change the decimal places in the value axis of a chart in WAD?

    Hello,
The key figure in my chart has 2 decimal places and I want the value axis to show the same. How to do that?
    Thanks in advance, Nathalie

    Hi,
change the Format property of the ValueAxis-Line to 0.00
Then the axis displays its values including two digits after the decimal.

  • Changing Decimal places in table TCURX

    Hi There
We have a business requirement to change the decimal places in table TCURX from 3 Decimals to 5 Decimal places. No previous postings have been made in foreign currencies.
If no transaction data has been posted in foreign currencies yet, will this have an impact?
    What will the impact be?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Refer to this SAP text:
In the R/3 System tables currency fields are stored as decimal figures with a variable number of decimal places. The decimal point is not stored in the field in the database. Instead, each currency field refers to a currency key field. In this transaction you assign the number of decimal places to this currency key uniquely. Example: If you have set currency USD to have two decimal places and you post an amount of 100 USD, an amount of 10000 USD is stored in the currency field in the database. Not until this
amount is processed further or is output does the system use the currency key from the reference field to determine the number of decimal places via this table. In this way the table content can be interpreted correctly for further processing or formatted for output with the correct punctuation. If after posting you changed the number of decimal places for USD, for example, to 3, the existing field content of 10000 would be interpreted for futher processing or output as 10 USD (10.000). This would mean that the contents of tables across the system would, for all currency fields containing an amount in USD,
be interpreted incorrectly by 10 per cent. To change the number of decimal places for a currency already in use, you must convert all the tables in the R/3 System that contain currency fields, so that the data integrity remains. This cannot, however, for both organizational reasons and under the runtime
aspect be carried out in a productive system. The following changes to the TCURX table can
thus lead to the loss of data integrity if you make the changes in a productive system or transport them into a productive system:
o Change to the number of decimal places of an existing currency
o Deletion of an entry from the TCURX table (corresponds to changing the decimal places to the standard value of two decimal places)
o Insertion of an entry in the TCURX (corresponds to changing the standard value of
2 decimal places to a different value), if this is a currency code that already exists
Uncritical changes are any made to this table during the Customizing of a new installation or the insertion of TCURX even during operations, if the currency codes have just been entered in the TCURC table using transaction OY03, signifying that no postings to these currency codes can have been carried out yet.

    Eli

  • Changing of decimal places from 2 to 6 digits

    Hi,
Currently, our PO price and GR/GI quantities are being limited to two (2) decimal places only. However, we want to maintain it into six (6) digits so that we can have a more accurate PO price and GR/GI quantities in our record.
We tried to do this in Tcode OY04 but the system issued as the following warning messages:
    1. In a productive system, you must not delete the currencies in use or change the decimal places. This could make amounts in document already posted incorrect or invalid.
    2. In the R/3 System tables currency fields are stored as decimal figures with a variable number of decimal places. The decimal point is not stored in the field in the database. Instead, each currency field refers to a currency key field. In this transaction you assign the number of decimal places to this currency key uniquely.
Can you please explain to me the warning messages further?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jack,
Please never try to change the decimal places in PRD system, you will be in deep deep trouble.
Let me give one example , If the current decimal is set to 2 digit and you are going to change it 3 digit, then  USD 100.00 will become  USD 10.000 for the already posted document.
Please not that, the decimal places are not sotred in the database, when you run a tcode to see any posted data the system queries the currency table and see the value for the decimals, if it finds 3 in OY04, it simply places the decial point afer 3 digit from right, if the decimal is set to 4m it will simple place the decimal point after 4 digit from right.
    Hope this clears your doubt.
    Best Regards
    Hari K.

  • Changing decimal places for currencies

    Hi everyone,
I'm a complete begginer to SAP BI and I need to change a value in SPRO > General Settings > Currencies > Set Decimal Places for Currencies, but the option that I want doesn't exist.
I need to add a new entry with the value: currency - EUR6 and decimals 6, but there is no 6 available. Can anyone tell me where can I add this or what is the table where this information is???
    Thanks in advance!
    Rogério Brá

ok I think it works - just try and play
This is what I did (sort of same scenario - if you get my drift)
Currency Key MGF - translation ratio 1000:1
Exchange rate is : 11:02750 to the Euro
    Invoice entered for 1,000,000.00
    Currency calculated as 90.68 eur
    (ie 1,000,000/(11.02750 * 1000))
You can play aroudn with direct/indirect to ge the factors right
But it works (I thought it did - I am qualified FICO honest!!)
This wont get you around displaying 6 decimals - BUT it will help with currency conversion

  • Changing the Decimal places in the currency

    Hi all
we are using the currecy SAR. Decimal places was set to 4, now that they want to revert back to 2 decimal places. i understand that by doing so they would be inconsistencies in the data allready recorded. how to avoid that?
is there any programmes / reports that would fix such inconsistencies?
    any OSS notes?
    thanks and regards
    gkk

    HI,
You should NOT change the decimal places in a productive system.
If you would do, the correction of the posted documents afterwards would be a remote consulting issue. Which you have to pay for SAP.
You see, all posting you have done until now, would get displayed in a wrong way, and the new posting wouldn't compare to the others.
Please check the note 137626 describes this.
If you really need to change the decimals, you should create a new currency type, for example your current is SAR, and now you should create a SA2. Then you should enter new rations and exchange rates for it, and work with the new one.
Also if you want to set the decimals to two digits from four, youshould not enter an entry in the OY04(TCURX).
In this table you can only enter a value, that discriminate from 2 decimals. If there is no entry in the table, it means the currency has two decimals.
Please assign points if it useful.
