Change JRE versions when application executes

How do I change the active JRE when my application runs? I am working in a complex environment, where some apps use JRE 1.2.2 and others 1.3. Both JREs are installed on the desktop machines.
We are using Zenworks to deploy the software, but I need to be sure that the correct JRE is running and, if it is not, enable the correct version.
Is there a registry entry to change? I need to automate the Java control panel, essentially. Is there some sort of command-line approach to changing the active JRE? I need a script that will run either within Java or, preferable, at the windows level. Perhaps it could be another Java program. Any suggestions?

Here is a brute force method. As part of your shortcut set the classpath to include the appropriate JRE as the first concatenation. Your deployment tool "should" be able to build that for you reasonably easily from a script of some type. Hope this helps.

I checked all deployment descriptions and there are no references to t3://localhost:7001. Few months back, I had the complete clustering setup working on 2 machines and now when I deploy my application on same configuration, it fails with t3://localhost:7001 unreachable error. I created a new cluster configuration on one machine with 2 managed server and it deploys fine. Can not figure out what has changed ?

Change JRE version that firefox uses

Trying to run applets that are being compiled using Java 8. I had JRE 1.8 installed on my machine but when I run the site I'm making, the embed applets don't work and what I have below is what pops up which says JRE 1.7 is being used. How can I change this so 1.8 is used???

Change product version under application component

Hi all,
how can i change the product version under application component at integration scenario?
You have the possibility to "Display/Change Application Component" if you click with your mouse (right button) on the application component bar but under application component type you aren't able to change anything.

Hi,
You cannot change the product version.
When you Righ Click on the Application Component and say change, the only things that you can change are
1. Role,
2. Integration Process
3. Further Attributes.
if you need to change the product version, you need to Right Click --> Insert Application COmponent and then select the correct product version.

Specifying JRE version when starting CRM On Demand

I am trying to find a way to specify what jre version to use when logging into CCA. Our users have multiple jre version including newer versions that are not compatible with CCA. They have open java and disable the newer versions in order to get CCA to work. Of course this causes issues when they run other programs that require the newer versions (what a mess!).
Is this possible and can someone tell me how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This could be a problem with mounting of CD.
If you are not using Solaris Volume Management software. Execute the following commands as root user.
prompt> mkdir /cdrom
prompt> mount -r -F hsfs device_name /cdrom
prompt> exit

af:query has a property QueryListener which points into the bindings. You can however use you own listener in a bean , execute the normal EL (copied from the original QueryListener) and send your mail before or after you execute the original query listener.

It's not exactly what you are looking for but it shows the technique.

Deploy Shared Variables when Application Executes

This is an option in the Project build specification in LV2010. I am finding that the check mark to signify that I want to include a lvlib in the build and have it auto deploy will not stay check marked.
I have tried to make sure a NSV reference appears in the startup vi and also have tried to 'always include' the library file in the build. I have attached an image of the dialog in question. The checked box in the listbox will go away when I close the build window or if I do the build and then reopen the build spec. This seems like a bug. Any way around it?

   Thank you for reporting this unexpected behavior. I have filed a Corrective Action Request #279570 with R&D to be fixed in a future version of LabVIEW.
   Unfortunately the only workaround for now is to only exercise this option right before building (i.e. do not close the window and reopen it to build) the application.

I am doing R12 upgradation. As a part of that I have to install JRE in my ORACLE_HOME/appsutil. Its version has to be same as that of application. Pls suggest
1. How can I find my JRE version of application ?
2. How I will install the JRE in DB home ?

I've tried checking through my options menus, but I've found no reason as to why this can be blocked. Starting in Java 7 Update 51, sites that would normally be blocked based on your Java Security settings can be added to an Exceptions list, via the Java Control Panel. A fatal error when I execute two application

Hi! I have a maven java application, which count mouse clicks and key presses with jnativehook. when I launch application (jar file) and it starts counting events, I launch second application in IDE, and when it starts counting events, my first app is crash exit, with error message:

My web page uses a Java Applet to allow my visitors to replay chess games; the Chess Viewer Deluxe applet was written by Nikolai Pilafov some time ago and has been working properly for some time (until recently). I don't monitor this part of my site regularly so I am not sure when it began to fail. On his web site [http://chesstuff.blogspot.com/2008/11/chess-viewer-deluxe.html] he has a link to check LiveConnect object functionality (which fails for OBJECT tags). His recommendation is to "seek platform specific support which might be available from the JRE developers for your platform".
I have been getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ZeroApplet.class and java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: JavaToJS.class crashes with JRE version 1.6.0_26-b03-384-10M3425 VM executing a Java Applet. Until I checked the LiveConnect object functionality, I was unable to identify the source of the console error messages. This does seem to be the smoking gun.

I just went up to check the LiveConnect object functionality page AND IT WORKED THIS TIME! I must confess, this is very mysterious. I will do some more checking and reply here if I can determine why it is working now (and more importantly, why it didn't work before).

Please register for a "real" user account rather than the anonymous user7266483.
You can not change it on the export...this is simply set to whatever is in effect in the DB.
However, it is totally unnecessary to change it on export. If the database into which you need to import the exported application is "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental", at the time you begin to import, it will default to "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental". You need to change this to the character set under which it was exported. In this case, it was "Unicode UTF-8".
It does not matter that you export and import in the same character set. It only matters that you correctly set the import to match how it was exported.

How do I change the pdf version when combining files

I am using Acrobat 9 Standard and need to change the default pdf version when combining multiple files, it actually save in 1.6 but would need to lower to 1.4 to be compatible with a client. So far, I changed the .joboptions with no luck. Any idea?
