Change product version under application component

Hi all,
how can i change the product version under application component at integration scenario?
You have the possibility to "Display/Change Application Component" if you click with your mouse (right button) on the application component bar but under application component type you aren't able to change anything.

Hi,
You cannot change the product version.
When you Righ Click on the Application Component and say change, the only things that you can change are
1. Role,
2. Integration Process
3. Further Attributes.
if you need to change the product version, you need to Right Click --> Insert Application COmponent and then select the correct product version.

    Scenario:
    Based on the entered Material, Plant and Order type system need to trigger a popup asking the user to select the Production Version. This should happen before clicking on SAVE button, so that all the values will be populated correctly based on the changed VERID.
    I did not find a user exit that enables to change the Production Version (VERID) value. So I thought of displaying the popup in the user exit EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003 which will be triggered before initial screen appears, export the selected value and pass it to a User Exit or BADI where VERID can be changed. But cannot find a user exit to do it.
    Please help me find a User Exit or BADI to change the Production Version during creation of Process Order using COR1 transaction before clicking on SAVE button.

    So - almost four years later - I saw your post and I saw myself in the very same situation as you did...
    I found a solution for those who wants to change the production version of the production order from the sales order creation: create an enhancement in the function module 'MD_VERSION_SELECTION' and you are good to go.

  • Change JRE versions when application executes

    How do I change the active JRE when my application runs? I am working in a complex environment, where some apps use JRE 1.2.2 and others 1.3. Both JREs are installed on the desktop machines.
    We are using Zenworks to deploy the software, but I need to be sure that the correct JRE is running and, if it is not, enable the correct version.
    Is there a registry entry to change? I need to automate the Java control panel, essentially. Is there some sort of command-line approach to changing the active JRE? I need a script that will run either within Java or, preferable, at the windows level. Perhaps it could be another Java program. Any suggestions?

    Here is a brute force method. As part of your shortcut set the classpath to include the appropriate JRE as the first concatenation. Your deployment tool "should" be able to build that for you reasonably easily from a script of some type. Hope this helps.

  • Differences between Product Version SAP ERP 2005 and SAP ECC 6.0

    Hello Guys,
    I have to setup an new XI interface between two R/3 system. During Integration Scenario setup you have to select under Application Component Type the Product version for the R/3 systems.
    Now, i am able to select SAP ERP 2005 or SAP ECC 6.0 from menu
    Could someone tell me the differences between SAP ERP 2005 and SAP ECC 6.0. Both are listed as Product Versions.

    SAP ECC 6.0 is latest version 2005 is last year version . as you are intergatin between 2 . you need select accordingly our source and target.

    Hi,
    Logically speaking, an application component represents a participant of an integration scenario. This contains the business tasks and concerns that this participant represents within the integration scenario.
    An application component can be installed on multiple business systems at runtime. However, modeling in the integration scenario takes place at type level.
    Note the following when modeling application components:
    If, at runtime, multiple participants are expected to satisfy the following conditions:
    The participants have the same business role
    The participants yield the same spectrum of tasks
    The participants use the same product
    In this case, the participants are represented by one logical participant and therefore just one application component.
    If different participants fulfill different tasks or they use different products or product versions for the same tasks, then they are represented by different application components.
    If different participants fulfill the same tasks and cannot be specified to their products, then an application component (of type Template) can be used in place of this participant.

  • Unable to see the Application component 0PA_PD

    Hi BW Experts,
    I am able to see the application component 0PA_PD under application component PA in our development system. I have activated a data source under 0PA_PD in the development system. I then  moved the data source to our test system (R/3). However in our BW test system, I am unable to see the application component 0PA_PD under PA in the modeling and hence am unable to replicate the data source in the test system.
    Could you please advice what I have to do in order to see the application component in the test system.

    I did replication of the top application component PA but still the 0PA_PD did not show up.
    I also ran the RSA9 and still the 0PA_PD did not show up under the PA. Other application components like 0PA_BN are appearing under PA but not the 0PA_PD.
    I checked the test R/3 system and the data source is available under the application component 0PA_PD. But somehow the 0PA_PD is not appearing on the test BW system.

  • Move generate export infosource to other application component

    I have generate export datasource from ODS i.e 8YSD_O3 and the generate infosource is come up under application component 'data marts'. Wondering how can I move the infosource 8YSD_O3 to other application component ?

    That is the place for Export Datasource. If you actually want to move it then, just drag and drop into where you want it to be and it will automatically move it, normally when you do this if it is some other object, it will ask you for Transport request but it may not ask you for transport request when drag and drop it.

  • Create production version

    Hi,
    we use ECC 5.0 and APO 4.1. For APO we need production versions. My problem is to create or change the production versions of a material, every time the appropriate routing or BOM is created or changed in ECC.
    There no suitable userexit in routing. Somebody told me to do with events and workflow. Can anybody tell me, how to do this on events routing-create/routing change and bom-create/bom-change.

    Function module CM_FV_PROD_VERS_MAINTAIN is used by transaction C223 to create/change production versions in dialog mode.  Are you looking for a function module or BAPI that will allow you to create/change production versions without screen dialog?  If so, I don't believe there is such a BAPI.  I thought maybe BAPI_PO_CHANGE might be useful, but according to <a href="https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=012003146900000252192005">Note 828538</a>, "For technical reasons, you cannot transfer the production version to the BAPI. However, as of SAP Release mySAP ERP 2005, you can influence the BOM components using the BAPI (complete recreation of the BOM or merging of the BOM components)."

    I am doing Plant driven procurement service enablement scenario by using XI 7.0, for this,
    we are integrating MM & SRM SUS Through XI 7.0 (MM -- XI-- SRM SUS).
    For doing this Scenario,
    1. Downloaded XI Content for SRM
    2. Imported  XI Content into the IR
    3.After importing, Plan_Driven_Procurement_SupplierEnablement Scenario was enabled.
    Here, MM side SWCV is R/3 4.6 is available by default. but in my case i need to change to ECC 6.0(bcoz,currently we r using ECC 6.0 version )
    In SLD, there is no ECC 6.0 version.
    So, how to solve this issue.

  • Change the Product version from ECC to ERP 6.0

    Hello Experts
    I am planning to apply EHP4 on my Development ECC system. In line with the the suggestion from guide "How to install SAP Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0" system I am supposed to define my ECC system with leading product version ERP 6.0.
    My Ecc system is currently defined with Product version SAP ECC 6.0.
    As per the above guide and also suggestion from "Note 1344564 - Maintenance Optimizer: Check system landscape" which says-
    "In particular for a system of the product SAP ERP, assign the product version of SAP ERP, not SAP ECC."
    I am supposed to change the leading product version to ERP 6.0.
    Now with the current definition of system with product version SAP ECC 6.0, it is being used in a logical component. In order to change this I need to delete the associated logical component. The problem is -this logical component is being used in more than one Project definition that has huge documentation associated with them.
    My question -
    will the deletion of current logical component affect my documentation in any way?
    How can I change the product version from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP ERP 6.0 without affecting the current setup?

    Thanks for the suggestion.
    I have already taken care of all the suggested notes in the master note that you suggested. I am able to generate the XML file for other solution defined in my system. In those I have my ECC system defined purely as ERP 6.0 system. I am not able to make out why its not generating the XML for this solution.

    In our SAP environment, we do have 2 versions of ERP systems :
    1. CON - SIF - CDP systems are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
    2. CDD - CDT - CDP systems are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    Question :
    When I want to assign these systems to a Z_LOGICAL_COMPONENTS, which product version do I have to choose ?
    Example for CON - SIF - CDP systems :
    1. They are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
    2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
        'SAP ECC 5.0' product version.
    Example for CDD - CDT - CDP systems :
    1. They are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
       'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    Question :
    What about 'SAP ERP 2004' and 'SAP ERP 6.0' product version ?
    In which case must I use this product version to assign CON-SIF-CPS
    or CDD-CDT-CDP to new Logical components ?
    Are they OSS Note or any matrix which give me the right product version to choose ?
    I have heard that 'SAP ECC x.x' product version should not used any longer ?

    Hi,
    I have Weblogic 9.2 MP3. I need to deploy newer version of application in Production (first in QA).
    My question is that, can i deploy that newer version of application without stopping the server (after deploy i need to restart, i know) on the server ?
    I think it might give the problem because of the same name of the application.
    If suppose i am able to deploy the application will it run properly with the environment (means the production or QA).

    Changes related to Production version can be viewed as you
    said by you or else use T code MM04 to display the changes.
    The changes made to a Production version cant be checked
    using any tables.

    I cannot see the list of software component to add in Dev Configuration because the Production State of software component is in Planned state and to appear in the list it should be in Devlopment state.
    How do I change the state. When I login to SLD i dont see the edit mode to change it.

    if the question is about, why the custom developed software is not visible in "CMS - Landscape Configurator - Track Data tab" when pressing the button "Add SC...", then please answer:
    Did you trigger "Update CMS" after creating the software in SLD? You can do it in the CMS webui - Landscape Config - Domain Data tab.

  • Missing System under Product Version at Maintenance Optimizer

    Hello Colleagues,
    We currently using SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP11 for our SAP landscape.
    For upgrade our new PI 7.1 system with EHP1 we need to download respective files at SAP Solution Manager with the Maintenance Optimizer.
    Under Product Version (pull down menu) at Maintenance Optimizer (TC DSWP) I am only able to select the Solution manager itself. Not the already configured PI system under System Landscape (TC SMSY).
    Any idea why I am not able to select the PI system?

    1. Are your Solution Manger system and P1 system in same Solution(system landscape) ?
    2. Or each of the above two systems has different solution ?
    If yes in the first case, then this might be filter problem in initial screen of MOPz. On the right corner you can see filter options. click on it and check if are able to select all of your systems under this Solution in which you are running MOPz tcode.
    If 02nd option is true, then you should run MOpz tcode in the correct solution, in which the system P1 is maintained.
