Change language to use a valid license of another language

Hello,
I have a license for Adobe Acrobat X Pro in German. After installing (and license) it in German I changed the language to English.
After 30 days, the trial period of the English version has expired, and now I´d like to change the language back to German.
I'd like to know how to do that, since now I am not allowed to access the program and change the options without providing a serial number first.

I'm using Windows 7. I change it using the Settings/International options.
I managed to solve it yesterday. I had to remove the english license from ..\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore and then when I restarted the program I was able to change it back to the German version.
Is there a way I can use the English UI with the German license?

SAP license key error: no valid license found: cannot log into SAP GUI

I deleted temp license from slicense on SM box, since I had already installed new digital license from SAP. Well, later I tried to log in again and was locked out. After some research, I found "sap license check failed" in the log files, java will not come up, and the hardware key has changed on me, so the valid license that was active before is not showing up now.
I applied for a new license with new hardware key and attempted to install from cmd prompt, using saplicense -install ifile=c:license.txt, but it gets an error. I put a trace on it and appears it cannot read license file key. I also tried to install another temp license, but that failed since no other previous valid license was found. At this point, I'm thinking I need to manually insert the license key into the database, but not sure what table or exactly how. SAP has not provided a solution yet.
I believe the hardware key changed due to renaming the server (we took out a hyphen in name) and had also reinstalled afterwards.
Has anyone else run into this issue?

Yes, I wish it were that simple, but I cannot even bring up the logon screen. SAP GUI returns a message, resource temporarily unavailable. I looked in SAP MMC syslog and found several entries, "SAP-Basis System: No license found for hardware ID DLIC_HWIDKE"
I tried to install temp license from cmd prompt, but it says refuses and says no old or expired license found. I also tried to install the new license I applied for from SAP with new hardware key using saplicense -install ifile=license.txt and that failed as well.
For NW2004s, is it even possible to install a digital license using cmd prompt?

No. Actually its a not uncommon practise in iOS. See the app "Where is my Water" for instance. You can freely select what language you want to use in the game.
Another iOS app where the app does not offer this feature but should is XCom. For me the app uses German text with US-English movies and ingame speech. I would rather have complete english than a language mix, but I cant switch the game. I could swich my ipad to english, then the game would use english. But this would lead to other problems and its not really user friendly.
Speaking of language support. It is also ok to download languages after installation. After all it is only data, no executable.

Hello, I have a similar problem, but in JSF application and the mine is more frustrating. When I put my language (catalan) in the locate configuration int faces-config like this:

the application appears in english instead of catalan. In spide of exist a class called BLAFBundle_ca wich contains the needed texts in catalan for show the ADF components, I coulden't do work. When I put "es_ES" instead of "ca" the components are showed in spanish correctly, and if I put "de" is showed in deutch correctly.
I decided decompile the class MessageBundle_es_ES from adf-faces-api.jar, put it in my source project without change its package. I modified a validation message and it worked. I decide the same for change the ADF components literals ("expand all", "select all", "next"...) and I found it in BLAFBundle_es_ES, I found it in adf-faces-impl.jar and in uix2.jar (this last not used in my project). I do the same steps with the previous file, but doesn't works !!!

Translation of message class used in validation

Hi all,
we are having troubles with the translation of the message class(es) used in validation. In our system environment, we have 2 development clients. One has logon language german, the other italian. Both clients are allowed to maintain their own customizing and with this add new messages to the message class used for validation, if necessary. Now, what happens is this: Whenever a message is added, the original language of the message class is switched to the logon language of the current user. This is nasty because after changing the original language we have to confirm the translation of every message in the message class. How do you organize translation of the message class used in validation?

Don't change the Original Langague. Maintain the new messages in the Original Langauge of the Message class and translate to the desired langague.

Try to logon onto Web Intelligence-Getting error of "no valid license"

we have BO 3.0 edge. xcelsius 2008 sp1f3 was installed on both client and server.
i installed xcelsius 2008 sp3 on both client and server. first, everything was ok. but when i restarted the server and i got web intelligence license error.
i tried to change registiry with PRODUCT_ENABLE key, no worked.
i looked SAP notes 1275367, but our registry key was correct according to this note.
finally, i uninstalled xcelsius 2008 sp3 and re-installed xcelsius 2008 sp1 with our "product key" (sp3 does not want product key) .
then everything is ok.
i checked that, keycode.dll registry key is different from SAP notes 1275367.
worked version is "D:\Program Files\Business Objects\Xcelsius\keydecoder.dll"

Hi Rob,
The reason for the license error is: Hostid mismatch. i.e., the hostid of the machine is different from the hostid in the license file.
I observe that the license file is generated with hostid: 52540019ee7e. You can cross check your hostid of the machine by running the command: lmutil lmhostid

Command Spacebar opens Spotlight as you have found out. If you want to change languages you need to say what app you are using to write the story in, I'm guessing you are using Pages or MS Word. If that's the case
Pages: Open Inspector - Click the T tab - Click Language and change your language.
MS Word: Tools Menu - Language - Choose your language.

Can you change the units used for size and position in layout editor?

In Aperture 3.4, does anyone know if you can change the units used for size and position in layout editor? The page is set in inches, but the image size and position are given in centimetres and I would prefer to work all in inches to create custom layouts. I can't see any way to change this. If anyone knows how it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Aperture uses the unit settings defined in the System Preferences. Set the "Measurement Units" in the "Region" tab of the "Language & Text" preferences to "US"; the Aperture will display the Size & Position in inches, if it is the "Book" layout manager you are asking about.

I'm beginner with javaFX and i need to change language of the screen. but i have no idea how to reload the screen when the language was changed. The application have a button where have the language available. I want just refresh screen when the user change language.

Your option 2 (reload the FXML for the scene using the new resource bundle as a parameter), is the way this would normally be done and what I would recommend.
Failing that, you could use option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items (I don't really recommend this).
Why don't you want to use option 2?
Perhaps it is because there is some internal state of the UI which differs from the initial state when the the UI is first loaded (e.g. user has typed text in a text field and you want to preserve that). If that's the case you will need to either go with your option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items, or implement something which preserves the UI state and user data by saving it in memory or to disk, reloading the UI via the FXMLLoader (essentially your option 2), then restoring the UI state and user data to what it was before the language change. Preserving and restoring the modified state seems complicated to me if you have a lot of state, so I wouldn't really advise this approach unless you really needed it.
