Change of requirement type

Hi gurus,
I have a problem in schedule lines. End user saved the document by mistake with requirement type 031 but it should be 011.Delivery done and PGI not done. How to change requirement type. Please help me.
Thanks&regards
madhu

Requirement type cannot be manually assigned in Sales Order schedule line. It is automatically determined from the spro settings.Requirement type is assigned to the Item category and MRP type.
Path: spro -- img --SD BFAvailability Check and Transfer of Requirements->Transfer of Requirements-> Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction
<b>Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction</b>
In the standard system, requirements types are determined according to a specific search strategy beginning with the material strategy group.
<b>Strategy for Determining the Requirements Type</b>
1. First, an attempt is made to find a requirements type using the strategy group in the material master.
2. If the strategy group has not been maintained, the system will determine it using the MRP group.
3. If the MRP group has not been defined, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group when accessing the corresponding control tables.
4. If no requirements type is found here, the system assumes a special rule and attempts to find a requirements type with the aid of the item category and the MRP type.
5. If this is not possible, a last attempt is made to find a requirements type with the item category only.
6. If the last attempt fails, the system declares the transaction as not relevant for the availability check or transfer of requirements.
I think the existing Sales Order schedule line cannot be manually modified with the requirement type 011. First you have to modify the configuration, then create new sales order and delivery.
Thanks

  • Changing requirement type in sales order

    Hello,
I'm tryin' to change the position requirements type in an existing sales order (switching between make-to-order and make-to-stock). Both options are available to choose (KE and KSV).
But after saving the order the field is grey and no longer accessable.
    What is wrong?
    Thanks,
    Sebastian

    Hello Sebastian;
It can be the relationship between the "completion rule" in the item category and the "Pos./neg. quantity" field in the copy
control of the sales documents. It is blocked one way (if you try to change the field in the copy control when the completion rule is blank you get an error message) but it lets you go through when you remove the completion rule with a value already in the field "Pos./neg. quantity".
The rules that I mentioned above can be interfering when you make a changes in Requirement type.

  • Purpose of Changing Requirement Type by User processing Sales Order

    Hi,
What could be the reasons for a user processing sales order to change requirement type in the sales order.......as we know that requirement tyor has only one requirement class assigned......so with the change of requirement type, requirement class also gets changed, which is essentially an object controlled by Production folks.....I want to undestand why has SAP given this option where in the user porocessing the document can change the requirememt type.....an you let me know possible scenarios.....
    Thanks
    Satish Talikota

    Sure.
The possible requirement types are controlled normally via the planning strategy group in the material master.
In there you can have more than one strategy, which in turn leads to the possibility to change them in the order.
There can be many scenarios, lets look at one; I normally sell from stock (MTS) a certain material, but from time to time I receive large orders that require a certain modification/customization of the product, so I can't sell the ones that I have in stock, and need to specificaly manufacture (MTO). In this case I change the requirements from MTS to MTO for these orders only.

  • Change the Data Type of a Standard Required Field

    Hello Experts,
Need to know if is it possible to change the data type of a standard field. The field is marked as a required field.
For example: If a standard field is an Object Picker and I would like to change it to a string field. Is it possible? How can I do it?!
    Many thanks,
    Igor Nakamura

    Hi Igor,
Since you cannot hide a required field, what you can do is move the standard required field to someplace less noticable (like the bottom of the page) and then use a validation script to set it to some benign value.

  • Requirement type change for Make to order

    HI Experts,
Need your help in resolving a issue, We have scenario where same material can be a make or Buy based on one logic, For buy scenario i need to drop IC order.
To do thing functionality i am flipping requirement type of the line item in MV45AFZB, Problem is i am not able to get planned order generated even though i am able to flip the requirement type.
Should i need to change my logic in MV45AFZB or ZZ?
    Thank you
    Kris

    Hello Kris
Why do you have to work with user exits to flip Requirement types?
Why don't you set up 2 item cats ( one for Make, another for Buy situation),  (have the users)  flip the item category manually in the order and drive the requirement type via item cat using 'Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction'  config? If you don't want to flip the item cats, you may set up 2 different order types also.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can we change the data type of a field based on the value of the field

    HI Gurus,
My Requirement is as below -- Could you please guide me
in the Printable Adobe form -- for ex - as usual for dates fields in the Object Pallette the object type is a date/time field  and for quantity/currency fields corresponding fields are taken
now in case the either the date, quantity or currency is initial in place of displaying 0.00 or empty date we need to display N/A (Not Applicable)
for this I would like to change the data type of the field
    to put it simply --
we need to change the data type of date field from DATE&TIME to Char type to hold N/A or  Quantity field to Char field to hold N/A
how can we realize this in SAP adobe forms
    Thanks in Advace
    Ramchander Rao.K

    Hello Ramchander,
You cannot change the data type of the field at run time in Adobe forms because the type of field you choose at the time of design level is associated with the data type itself.
If you want to achieve your requirement, then your main idea should be to set the data type as CHARACTER itself while designing the field in the adobe form itself. CHAR field will comfortably hold the value of Calculation/amount field, Currency field, Amount, Date, Time HHMMSS, Unit Accuracy, Currency key, Floating point number, Numeric text, Client, Language and many other data types.
After designing the field as TEXT field in Adobe form you have two options.
    Option 1:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms.
Suppose the name of the field is TEXTFIELD1, then write the Javascript code on this field in Initialize event as below.
    if ( this.rawvalue == null )
         this.rawvalue = "N/A";
If the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
    Option 2:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms. Do the formatting part in ABAP itself. It will increase the performance. Avoid Javascript as much as possible.
Suppose you have a DATE variable l_dats of type DATS. Then take another variable l_date of type CHAR. Then write the below ABAP code.
    MOVE l_dats TO l_date.
    IF l_date IS INITIAL.
         l_date = 'N/A'.
    ENDIF.
Bind the l_date to the TEXT field in the form.
Even in this case, if the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
But I will suggest you to use Option 2 of keeping the AMOUNT, QUANTITY, DATE, TIME fields etc as CHAR or TEXT fields in Adobe form and do the required formatting in ABAP itself.

  • How to change the document type while creating a PO by ME59N

    Hi,
I  have 2 groups of PR's, for group one the document type is picked as NB and PO is created and for the group 2 it should pick as XYZ and PO should be created using ME59N tcode.
How to change the document type for group 2 in ME59N? Which user exists to use to change the document type while creating PO in ME59N?
    Can any one suggest me.

    Hi,
There a config area, where you can define default PO doc types for a particular Pr doc type. If you maintain the settings properly there, then your requirement can be fulfilled.
    SPRO->IMG->MM->Purchasing->Purchase requisation->Define doc types.
    This will serve your purpose.
    Thanks,

  • Change the Pricing Type during billing

We are facing an issue with the rebate conditions which needs to be resolved asap..
User has created a credit memo request in VA01.
Credit memo request is created for the change in the Price.
(Note: Order reason for such specific credit memo requests is ZXX (e.g.))
Due to price change rebate accruals value is also reduced in proportion to the reduced price.
The rebate accruals should not be reduced in this case, since there is no material return and rebate condition is quantity based.
As a solution to this u2013
We created a new routine AAA and assigned to the rebate condition types in Pricing procedure.
This routine will function when order reason entered in the Credit memo request is ZXX.
Therefore all the rebate condition types (assigned with routine AAA in Pricing) will get deactivated in Order Conditions tab.
This is working correctly in creating credit memo (VA01).
    The issue is u2013
When the credit memo is created in VF01, these rebate condition types are again activated and accruals are posted.
This should not happen. Pricing from the CM request (VA01) should get copied in Credit memo (VF01) completely. The same issue
    with VF02..
Please  suggest a user exit in which the pricing type can be changed during billing..Tried coding in the form
USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP in RV60AFZZ by changing the Pricing Type KNPRS..But didnt work out..
Is there any way to meet this requirement. I have checked the user exit RV61AFZA having two forms:
    FORM USEREXIT_PRICING_RULE &
    FORM USEREXIT_PRICING_COPY.
I would be interested to know how this can be  coded to meet the requirement. Coding displayed will be of great help to
    implement.
Any pointers / solutions to the issue will be highly appreciated..

    Hello Sean
    1) Firstly I don't think the Credit Memo for this case or any case in your situation should be relevant to rebate.  That's becasue your rebate is tied to quantity.  So you should deactivate rebate processing for that Billing Doc type. T Code OVB0. That should close the issue.
    2) Pricing type 'D' in copy control from sales to Billing documents should ensure that Pricing from the CM request (VA01) gets copied in Credit memo (VF01) completely. Why do you need user exits for that? T code VTFA.
    3) If you need to change pricing type selectively for some conditions, then you should configure the condition type with condition category X,Y or Z ( Customer Reserve) and then use USEREXIT_PRICING_RULE (module pool SAPLV61A, program RV61AFZA to ensure that those conditions are copied (or otherwise) from source. But I don't think you need this.
